So my mom took her dog, Zoey, to the vet today and finds out she has a thyroid problem. All they can do is have Zoey take 2 pills a day for the rest of her life. Unless my stepdad is gonna offer to help pay for it, it's gonna be a matter of time till my mom can't afford the medicine anymore and we just wait for Zoey to get sick like Sophie.


You know what? I'm not even upset, angry, or anything. All I can do is facepalm and go "Sure, why not?"

On a more serious note, I am doing a bit better, but it's still hard living and knowing that your pet of 8 years is gone.

It had to be done. She was suffering from that problem i mentioned last year. Though not my dog, Sophie was the first dog my sister owned back in 2007 before the other two came along. We simply couldn't afford any medication or further surgeries to keep her around and she would have suffered anyway or wind up dead in our house. Between this, my job loss, and my parents' rocky relationship, i just bawled and baweld till I couldn't anymore. I just want to die right now. Good things are always taken away from me. Why should I look forward to seeing how tomorrow will shit on me?


This is why I never wanted any pets in the first place. No one listens to me.

Now 31 years old. Yay?

For me, I gotta have my colors. I love how colors can make things pop out. I know black and white is used for the characters in the battle screen, but I think it kind of makes some details lost.

This game is not the usual Zelda game I grew up playing for years, but the new style suits it just fine. The controls take some time to get used to if you use the Joy-Cons, though I heard some people say the pro controller feels better, so it's a matter of preference! You can change a few control options such as inverted camera rotation, swap jump/sprint buttons, and more, but there's no edit buttons option, which would have been nice to have.

Difficulty is HIGH. Most enemies I encountered can kick your ass if you don't play defensively and some are strong enough to kill you in a single hit. Heart Containers are gotten from obtaining 4 Spirit Orbs as an exchange or you can choose to upgrade your stamina. Said Spirit Orbs are gotten from mini-dungeons called Shrines and there are at least 100 in the game! They are fairly small and usually serve as simple puzzle solving or combat against enemies. It reminds me of Portal where you have one room to solve a puzzle and then you move to the next one. Speaking of stamina, it comes back from Skyward Sword, but now it is also used for climbing walls, charging up attacks, etc.

Weapons must be salvaged from enemies or treasure chests and they all have limited durability. It's a bit annoying to constantly swap weapons as they break and this also applies to your shields as well. As far as I know, weapons are not sold in shops. Armor also plays a role in boosting your defense or giving you special effects like resistance to extreme cold/heat, but those, as I know, are found in shops.

Recovery hearts are a thing of the past now! You regain health from food and you can cook food to make dishes with various health recovery strengths or special properties like boosted defense or temporarily boosting your max health. You WILL spend a lot of time cooking to keep a healthy supply of food on hand, but luckily, you can easily find ingredients everywhere or get them from a shop. While the game does have a recipe feature, you can only look at the foods you created by highlighting said food. If you eat that food, you can't see the recipe again, which is freaking stupid. A proper recipe book would have helped here!

The visuals are pretty damn amazing, even on the handheld screen itself, with said screen at 720p. The game is capped at 30FPS and it can dip down a bit in some graphic intensive spots like a lot of grass and shadows, a lot of explosion particles, etc, but this doesn't last long. The game has actual voice acting now, but it's limited to major cutscenes. So far, the voices sound pretty great.

Remember awhile back about the tumor on my sister's dog that I mentioned? Welp, it turns out another one started to grow above the one that we gotten removed. My mom was telling me how devastated my sister was over the whole thing. We simply can't afford to pay for another round of surgery and I know I can't fork over any more money like that. Now it's only a matter of time on when the dog is going to die.

No one seems to be reliable anymore. Yeah yeah, I get people have other customers ahead of me, real life, etc etc. Lately, it feels like whether I bug them about it or not, no one ever seems to get to my commissions in a timely manner. Some is a several week wait, others can be for months at a time. Only a few people I know can do commissions in a reasonable timeframe and it seems like nowadays I'm better off getting commissions through streams since they can be done on the spot or on the next stream if time runs out. I'm so tired of always having to wait on everything while it looks like everyone else can get what they want right now.

Well ok, it's not until the 26 of March, but it feels so close already! If I could get something, it would be me getting a nice big hug from Asgore and a plate of cookies from Toriel x3

Passed away today from a stroke. Can we just fucking kill 2016 as it did with everyone else?

So yeah, Carrie Fisher had a heart attack and passed away and damn it sucks. She was a great person and actress and she'll sorely be missed. Naturally, news of her death spread quickly and it was no stranger to the official Final Fantasy XIV forums. One person wants the developers to make a hairstyle modeled after the "Leia side buns" from the Star Wars movies because they want to be able to feel better about Carrie passing on and want to feel better.


People grieve in their own ways and honor the dead in others, but....come on, this is beyond tasteless. The woman hasn't been dead for 24 hours and you want to have a virtual hairstyle made after her character right away? It bugs me to no end because the hairstyle isn't even a thing for Carrie; it was something her CHARACTER wore. People really need to stop and think before posting silly requests like this because no one is going to take the hairbun style seriously in a video game in regards to Carrie's passing nor does everyone even know who Carrie was. I mean, the most you could do is get your friend together and hold a silent prayer in game, which is more tasteful and is easier to convey.
