So, FC is over now...
Posted 18 years agoI'm back home, which has its good and bad side. Highlights include being back with my compy and not having to pay exorbitantly for food. It really sucks that the con is over though; I had way too much fun, and the time just absolutely flew by.
So, a rundown, I suppose. Getting there the day before it begins is a good way to beat the rush, but it's hella boring unless you know other people that are there, which I didn't. Luckily my roommate is a bit more social than I am, and has been to more of these things than I, so we ended up having a decent bit of fun that evening.
Thursday was also boring, given that there weren't any real events until 7PM. Time was passed, though, in various ways, including a decent bit of volunteer work, mostly with unloading crates of stuff from the truck and pushing them up to the main stage room.
Then Friday rolled around, and things really started getting interesting. With panels and shows and games all over the place, I was certainly keeping busy. That day probably went the fastest for me, really. Saturday was more of the same, juggling which panels I wanted to go to and whatnot
Sunday was definitely the cooldown day for me, though. I wasn't all about the place nearly as much, and actually ended up spending a good deal of time just chilling in the game room and playing Rock Band (expert bass, mostly). But Monday, though, well, it's bleh. Mostly everything is broken down, and basically nothing happens, outside of a couple notable exceptions. I suppose those sticking around until Tuesday would have the deaddog party to look forward to, but sadly I was due to depart in the early afternoon.
All in all, it was a fantastic experience, and I'm in no way disappointed with the con. I really do hate having to leave though. I'd imagine there are a good number of people that feel a substantial emotional connection to the con, and I myself am no exception to that. It's kinda tough to describe...but I just felt really at home there, honestly. And it just hurts to have it end, really. Like, the past few nights, I've gone to bed with great anticipation of the next day to come, but now...I'm just home...back to my droll, routine life, with nothing to really look forward to.
*sighs* But I'll be okay, I suppose. I'd like to say that I'll just get over it and move on, but I won't. It's impossible to just get over something like FC. It's opened my eyes to exactly how amazingly awesome a con can be, and I'm never letting that go. I'll definitely jump on the next good opportunity that comes up to do something like it again...it's just the "in the meantime" that's going to suck a lot.
Alright, that's enough for now. I'm sure some people won't really read the whole thing, and anyone posting that they didn't read the whole thing will be punished severely. As for me, I have 96 submissions to carve though, then I'll probably go to bed. I almost wish I had to work tomorrow so there'd be something to do...

And then there's this one too...

1. Is there anyone on your friends list you would ever consider having sex with?
A few, yeah.
2. Sex in the morning, afternoon or night?
I tend to be best at it in the late afternoon/early evening, though anytime is usually good.
3. What side of the bed do you sleep on?
Dead center, usually. Though, if someone else is in it with me, that'd be the left, closer to my bedside table.
4. Pork, beef, or chicken?
Chicken > beef > pork. They're all good though.
5. Have you ever had to pull over on the side of the road to puke?
Thankfully, no.
6. Have you ever taken your clothes off for money?
I'm not that much of a whore...yet. ;)
7. Shower or bath?
Shower about 99.7% of the time. I can't actually remember the last time I took a bath...
8. Do you pee in the shower?
Yes, though I aim precisely for the drain. :D
9. Mexican or Chinese?
Ooo...tough one. I'ma have to go with Chinese, though it's very close. They're both always good for nommings. :3
10. Do you want someone aggressive or passive in bed?
Oh hell, I always love this question. Basically I'd want someone that doesn't mind controlling the situation, as I'm one to just kinda be told to do something and go with it, but doesn't really get too aggressive, as that can actually be a turnoff for me.
11. Do you love someone on your friend list?
Humm...in my definition of the word, no, not at the moment.
12. Do you know all the people on your friends list?
Hardly.
13. Love or money?
Bah, why'd there have to be a hard question like this? Umm...both! ^_^ (Yes, that is a cop-out.)
14. Credit cards or cash?
Well, neither, technically. Debit card pwns all. :D
15. Has there ever been anyone in your family you wish wasn't?
My stepfather (the first one. Second is completely awesome though. :)). We'll just leave it at that.
16. Would you rather go camping or to a 5 star hotel?
Camping completely pwns. :3
17. What is the weirdest place you have had sex?
Humm...well, I can't say anything really jumps to mind. It's all routine with me. :P One that could've happened though: my roommate's parents' hottub. Yeah. XD
18. Would you shave your entire body (including your head) for money?
Depends on how much money we're talking. It'd take quite a bit for me to do my head. Everything else is practically trivial. :P
19. Have you ever been to a strip club?
Can't say that I have, no.
20. Ever been to a bar?
Several, yeah. Good times, good times...
21. Ever been kicked out of a bar or a club?
Nope.
22. Ever been so drunk you had to be carried out of somewhere?
*chuckles* Almost. ;P
23. Kissed someone of the same sex?
Like it's commonplace. XD Well, not quite like that, but yes.
24. Favorite drink?
Mountain Dew! The red kind. :D
25. Had sex in a movie theater?
Too public for me, sorry.
26. Had sex in a bathroom?
Public? No. Home? I believe so, IIRC...
27. Have you ever had sex at work?
Yet again, too public, and a bit more on the line there.
28. Have you ever been in an "adult" store?
Indeed I have.
29. Bought something from an adult store?
Heh, I couldn't. I'm much too easily embarassed...*blushes a bit at the thought*
30. Have you been caught having sex?
Fortunately, no.
31. Does anyone have naughty pics of you?
They're all over the place. :D
32. Who do you think has the guts to repost this?
*shrugs* Anyone that wants to, I suppose.

Posted 18 years agoSeriously. I'd never be that reliable. ;)
So yeah, in 37 days I'll be in San Jose for FC...
Posted 18 years ago...and, like, awesomeness will be made. Too bad it has to end 5 days later.
So, like, who else is going? Don't tell me I only know like three people that are attending. :P

OMG let's all make journals about the exact same thing! YAY!
Posted 18 years agoBecause we haven't heard enough about it already. Come on, people, it's not really that big of a deal. This is FICTION. Nobody would've said anything, even with the obvious signs, if Rowling hadn't've blurted it out. Seriously. *goes back to sleep, wearing a "Wake if something actually important happens" sign around his neck*
READ THIS IT'S IMPORTANT
Posted 18 years agolol obvious trap you lose that is all.
I can't believe you fell for that. I mean, come on, you should know me better by now.

$400
Posted 18 years agoI'm not gonna copy-paste the list 'cause it's in every third journal on here.
Oh, and I beat Prime 3 with 100% earlier. Ask me anything. :D
Oh, and I beat Prime 3 with 100% earlier. Ask me anything. :D
So, umm, Bioshock.
Posted 18 years agoAs some of you may or may not know, I've been playing the game practically nonstop. Already did one playthrough on easy to familiarize myself with it, now I'm working on a much faster Normal run and going for the good ending. Personally I think I can get it done before Prime 3 comes out. :D
So yeah, if I'm always away on my IMs, that's why. :P
Oh, but despite this, don't be surprised if I finish Fruits within the next few days..I'm just itching to get it posted, really. I have a feeling many peoples will be pleased. :3

Please ignore that previous journal entry.
Posted 18 years agoThat's the last time I leave my computer unlocked with my roommate around. I know he'll see this, as he is watching me, and he should know that I don't appreciate that little joke one bit, no matter how funny he thought it was. This is my page, and I'd appreciate it if he didn't violate it in such a way. Thanks.
Anyway, since I'm here, I might as well do an actual journal entry for once.
Work. Oh, lol work. My job amuses me sometimes. Our customers do the most ridiculous things, seriously. I think it's being able to laugh my ass of at them sometimes is what's keeping me working there. Maybe. Or maybe it's that I really despise job hunting. Like I told Essy, I need some random macro-fur to come along and just obliterate the building so I'm forced to get a better job. :P
Other than work, life in general is good. I know I'm not writing much, and I don't really have a good excuse for it, sorry. Distractions and such, yeah. All I can say is to be patient with me, and don't trust my project queue thing one bit. It lies. >_>
Gryphie's off at FA:U, hope he's having a good time. I don't expect him to be online at all during, 'cause his lappy's all borked, but I can wait. Sure, I'm kinda bored, and a touch lonelyish, but I'll live. I really would've loved to have gone with him, but getting the time off was next to impossible. *sighs* Oh well, can't win 'em all.
Ya know, I can't really think of much else to say, honestly. So, like, banana. :D

No, can't say that I do.
74. What red object is closest to you right now?

Posted 18 years agoJust some matter of minutes ago, my pageview counter acquired that wonderful fourth digit. I'd like to thank all you cool people for the watches, favs, and just attention in general. It's made for an excellent experience the whole way. As a reward, to all, I'm gonna extend my WIP Yoshi story even further. Just a little gift to all my avid readers. Here's to you. :)

Posted 18 years agoJust a completely random thing I felt like mentioning. If anyone's looking for someone to hang out and doodle random junk with, drop me a line on my AIM or YIM (or MSN, but PM me first so I can reinstall it) and I'll get a canvas running. Why? 'Cause I'm kinda bored a lot, and there might be some interesting experiences to be had. :P

HOLY FREAKING CRAP (Lost season finale and other good news s
Posted 18 years agoWhat an episode. Seriously. It had just the perfect mix of everything I love about this show...and everything I hate. Damn the ending. Damn it! It just drops! Just like the other finales, but like 209765093746977777927986836592690 times worse! Argh!!! *explodes*
...
Whoo, that felt good.
In other, completely unrelated news, my griffy's gonna be here in 3 days, and I'm stupidly excited about it. :D He's just much too awesome...so much that I'm hardly worthy of it.
And on another aside, I'm back on the pencil and notebook again, so stay tuned to my profile for daily (usually) updates on my progress. The rate of such can and will fluctuate due to work and other junk, but I'll try to keep it as consistent as possible.
Thirdly, I will be attending FC in '08. Yeah, I know, that's like a billion months away, but I figured I'd throw that out there. My roommate already has a room reserved and I'm gonna tag along, so anyone else that's going and might want to meet up, let me know! Already gonna be hanging out with one friend and I hope to see some others there. :)
I might also be going to FA:U, assuming A: Things don't completely bomb between Captain Awesome Griffy and I (as if XD) and B: I can get the time off for it, which shouldn't be too difficult. I do have a bit over two months, after all. :)

Fwee, new games. :)
Posted 18 years agoSo, I picked up a couple games yesterday. One is Super Mario Strikers, the absolute best of all the Mario themed sports games. The other...drumroll please...is Pokémon Diamond. :D I'm not very far into it yet, but once I've got all the online stuff open to me, I'll post my FC. :)

Posted 18 years agoSo, I've been listening to some different stuff lately. There's this type called "power metal", and it's very interesting. Two groups in particular: Rhapsody (of Fire), and Dragonforce, have really caught my interest. This stuff's just absolutely great to rock out to, and doesn't really go overboard like some other kinds of metal do. It's simply great. :)

I need 200CCs of motivation, stat!
Posted 18 years agoTarp'd. All of you. Didn't see that one coming, eh? Phear my crlnkly blue plastic (or whatever they're made of) awesomeness! Serves you all right. *lands a rofflecopter on each corner of the tarp* What now, huh? Yeah, that's right, there's no escape. Feel the burn. The burn of burnination. Don't make me get the dragon.
And now for something completely different.
In other news, my head's swimming with writing inspiration...I just need the motivation. Why is it that, while I've got so many good ideas floating about, I just don't feel the urge to actually put them on paper? Seriously, it's baffling. But whatever. Nothing new, I suppose.

No, seriously, that's probably the worst thing you can do. You two, especially. You both know who you are, and I won't tolerate it, especially since one of you has already done so in the past. Just listen to me when I spout off an old, overused, slightly clichéd saying. One man's trash is another man's treasure. Now, I know this isn't exactly the usual application, but it applies all the same. So, take it to heart, and don't do something drastic because you're too self-conscious to think rationally. That is all.
PS: Oh, and whoever got 573, you've got a week to prove it. Else, I'll take the closest one to it, up to 613. But, if 20some people didn't notice/care/whatever, then too bad. No bonus cookies/pie/awesomeness for you. :P
PPS: No 'Shopping! I'll know!

Konami and my pageviews
Posted 18 years agoSome people won't get it, others will. Regardless, it's very close...and whoever gets it and can prove it gets a bonus prize, which is yet to be determined...but sure to be awesome.
In other news, I've got an outstanding basis for PP#O1, so I'll be writing heavily on that, probably more than #5. Stay tuned for more news whenever I've got it. :D
