Moving accounts,
Posted 9 years agoSo the time has come. I have chosen to move everything over to my cub account
rascaldormly. This makes life on my end a bit easier and a little less confusing as Ill only be managing one account. Those of you who know me as Aeon can still call me by that name :) I assure you Aeon is still just as much alive.
For those of you who haven't guessed, my Rascal account does have babyfur stuff in it. I would say 90% of it is clean, basically just a diapered puppy having fun, 10% may have some other babyfur nonsense, however there is no yiff with my cub pictures. I do understand some of you are uncomfortable with cub pictures, so its up to you if you want to come over to that account. I can tell you that I do not post pictures that often, maybe 3 or 4 per year so you wont be missing much.
Ill officially terminate this account at the end of June.
Anyways, Im rambling now lol, to those of you who have chosen not to come over, I thank you for watching me and I am sorry I have become so quiet here. Life and all has been crazy lol. I wish you all well wishes and good luck in future endeavors. Those of you coming to my other account, I look forward to seeing you all there.

Roommates?
Posted 12 years agoSo as Tony Ringtail is moving away, I have the option of taking up his apartment. The only problem is I don't make enough to cover rent and bills and food. I have posted one journal earlier but only received one reply so I figured I would make a stand alone journal this time.
For those interested, The apartment is located in East Windsor, NJ near 130 and 133. I have calculated rent at about $400-500 per month [Thats including bills and food] I would like to warn that this is only an estimate, and the actual price could be higher or lower.
There are a lot of stores in the area including, wal-mart, home depot, target, staples, radio shack, exc. Also a lot of restaurants as well. Police, Fire, and EMS are all literally right up the road. In-fact, most of the above mentioned is within walking distance. [Maybe 5 minutes walking time]
About me for those of you who dont know,
I am a 26 year old Security Officer. I primarily work overnight and arrive home sometime between 6 or 7 in the morning. I enjoy being a ham radio operator and often listen to local police/fire/ems traffic. I have a fair understanding in electronics, and automotive repair. The only pets I have are fish. As you all can tell I am a furry :P but not everyone knows I am a puppy wolf [Babyfur].
Wow at 5:30 in the morning its hard to think of stuff to say about myself >.<
Anyways, if anyone is interested, please drop me a note or a message on skype. Thanks!

WARNING TO ALL EMERGENCY AND SECURITY PERSONNEL:
Posted 12 years agoIn wake of the not guilty verdict being given to George Zimmerman, several protests and rally's have begun. WHILE MANY OF THESE PROTESTS ARE PEACEFUL, SOME HAVE TAKEN MINOR VIOLENT TURNS!!! It seems that a majority of the violence has been focused on Emergency Responders [Primarily Police Officers] and Security staff.
So far, the only major damage has been some windows to random shops and a few police vehicles. Protests are planned for later today and while the organizers have requested that they remain peaceful, there is still a possibility that some of these protests may turn violent particularly if drugs or alcohol are involved.
Please, if you are involved in emergency or security services, keep up to date with any protests that may be held in your area, especially if there has been a history of violent protests in the past.

What we dont realize is that at times, peoples rights are taken away based on political reasons, things like gun laws, international travel, and now even what we can eat or drink are becoming more and more controlled by the government, and the government expects us to follow without question or reason. Those who don't simply follow are bullied into submission until one person stands up and explains their rights that are so clearly written by our forefathers. Now, I am not saying I am a fan of revolt, I am not the type that stands up and pickets in front of the white house or to be honest, identify myself with any kind of political actions whatsoever.
What I am is a person who doesn't complain that a "gun" killed a friend, but that a "Person" who carried a gun, legal or not, killed a friend. I don't point at every Islamic person and shout "terrorist" nor do I condone it, and I don't sit around on my rear every day all day eating fast food without exercising, and complain that Mc Donald's or Burger King made me fat. I am a person who was taught something called common sense, and that our rights expect us to use that common sense in its definition.
Mc Donald's has a right to cook and serve its food to its customers, and, should someone become obese because they ate there on a daily basis, they have a right to complain about it. Its all spelled out on the Bill of Rights that this government was based on. Nowhere in the bill did it say that one person has the right to react against another for their own choices. So why is it that someone who made wrong choices is allowed to punish a corporation or even, another person for their own actions?
Oh and those of you who are concerned about the above illusion, please watch this video, its the same trick with a little twist at the end, and sums up the above perfectly!

WOW what a weekend
Posted 13 years agoHaha started with Furfright, and ended with Sandy XD
For those of you who were worried, everything fared well at my house, [actually, things were better than most of NJ, We even have power now XD] I was shocked to see there was less damage done here in little egg than up by Tonys [where I rode out the storm]
For those of you who dont know, Sandy made land fall right over my house, I live about 5 miles north of Atlantic City. My family was evacuated from the area due to flooding and high wind concerns.
While I am glad that things are ok in my area, [and very very lucky] a few blocks down is where the flooding was really bad. The national guard has been deployed and there are certain areas we are not allowed to "visit" unless we have permission. I have heard a few reports from the fire company that houses are more than 2/3's of the way off their foundation, there are gas leaks and fires, more than 6 houses burned to the ground, and I am shocked that there was not one shingle out of place at my house.
I think I got lucky this time round, very lucky...

Projects, both in progress and in my head,
Posted 13 years agoJust a note this was posted on my puppy account to, Feel free to comment,
Hey all,
this post is mostly for my own memory and such, however if anyone wants to throw in an opinion, or maybe they have done some of these things before and may know of ways to do things better, or more importantly, things I shouldnt do :P
These projects are in no particular order:
1: EMCOM Go box;
For those of you who dont know what an EMCOM go box is, it is a box that contains a two way radio and a strong battery. It is use in times of natural or man made disasters to help aid with emergency communications [Hence the name "Emcom"] Some radio ops call them go kits or go boxes. ;shrugs;
My layout plan is calling for a nice strong 12 volt battery, a 200 watt inverter, a switch, [which will allow me to switch from "Mains" 120 volt power and "emergency" 12 volt power] and a yet to be determined radio [May use a Yaesu ft7900R as I really like the rig] The big issue I have is, using the radio at full or even half power may kill any battery I would be able to put into the box [battery must be small and light weight, the norm is to use an alarm box battery] The inverter would def kill the battery within an hours use. So, I was thinking of another project to go with the first:
2: Portable solar charger for Emcom box;
I have been checking around online and I must say, anything that will decently work to charge any battery is rather expensive, costing between 100 and 250 US dollars. Also, I dong have enough knowledge to understand how the solar power system would work. Example:
I have two solar panels ment to maintain a car battery. Each is ment to put out 12 volts DC with a constant 1500ma charge. Now, normally wiring battery's in parallel [+ to +, - to -] would double the amperage, so I figured it would be the same for solar power right?
Well, when I wired the panels in parallel and hooked my volt meter to the leads, I was getting a reading of 19 Volts and .16ma HHmmm... Odd, so I disconnected the panels from each other and tested them separately, Both gave a reading of 18.5 volts and between .14-.16ma. THAT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE x.x' So using an automotive LED lamp, I hooked one panel to the light, and it lit, but was a little dim. I hooked the second panel in parallel and it was brighter. x.x' I think my volt meter needs replacing...
I also think that before I spend 150 dollars on a solar cell, I need to learn more about how they are wired and what powers I would need.
If anyone has built, used, bought, or otherwise has any knowledge on solar power please let me know what I should use. I figured on keeping a spare 1000A deep cycle battery for field operations for the emcom box, so any solar kit would been to be able to charge this battery within a day, and be able to power a radio and inverter.
#3: Mobile radio tower;
This project is in progress and may be used at Furfright this year. It will be about 20-25 feet high and consist of 5 sections [4 sections of 5 foot long 1 1/2" steel tubing and a base] I am waiting to get the equipment back from the shop and then I will need to buy some rope or paracord to use as guy wires.
#4: Forge;
For a while now I have been interested in aluminum forging. Ever since my trip to Ohio I have been thinking of ways to forge aluminum cans. After a bit of research and reading and watching videos, I think I know how I can do it now. It may be a little while, but maybe sometime next year I can offer some aluminum bricks to people who also forge art from this fine metal!
I think ill end it there for now. I find it nice to know that I am giving myself some things to do that while they may be a little expensive, or hard to understand, seem to keep me sane. ;shrugs; or maybe I have driven myself crazy and this is the proof everyone needs to prove it :P

No longer Afraid, NJ-Fur-B-Q
Posted 13 years agoFirst, I would like to state that while sad these allegations were made public, I am somewhat glad they were. I want to say now that I HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE REPORTERS, and from reading the article, NO FURRIES CONTACTED THE REPORTER EITHER!
Now, First, lets share THE TRUTH OF THE SITUATION. The journals that released the actual information as to the events were removed by staff at request of Tony as the council member was not going public. We were worried something like this could happen, and it has.
What happened:
While none of us from Fur-B-Q have yet to see the picture [The township refuses to let us view the pic] it WAS CONFIRMED that a pic of a rather inappropriate nature was found. HOWEVER, while this is only a pic, it is unknown if something actually was taking place. The pic as described to me, was of "two furrys facing each other" while leaning on said council members car. As for who was present at the time we are not sure. It is assumed that the furrys were in a sexual position, however as Tony, Razor, or I have yet to see the picture, we cannot and will not send accusations about. To us, this only existed within the politics between the squad and council members. We cant act on a basis of "maybe, could have, sort of". We need facts of what happened, and so far it seems the council member has not been 100% forward about it.
When did it happen?
We dont know. My best guess is late afternoon or very early evening.
Whats involved?
Well, from reading comments, persons have made complaints about the use of the SS during shortwaves truck pull. What they didn’t mention was that we did get in trouble for it, and since had stopped using any vehicles other than our own personal vehicles during the events.
Whos to blame?
Well, ultimately US.. The staff at Fur-B-Q, and I want to take a lot of the responsibility myself, being security there. While I might not have been able to prevent it, I should have made sure measures were in place to deter the incident. And for that, and on behalf of other fur-b-q staff, we are sorry for all the drama it is causing.
What now?
As Tony said, given the nature and circumstances of the accusations and claims of the incident, NJ Fur-B-Q will be NO MORE!!! Furthermore, I am hoping that convention heads see this as a wake-up call that these things can happen right before your eyes and to be ready to do damage control.
Finally there are several personal repercussions that I do not feel should be "Public knowledge" Sadly, many of us could be hurt from this.
Look guys. There are a million things I could leave off with. I guess the best thing I can say is it happens, and furrys will bounce back from it. Don’t let this little bit get you down. We do a lot of good for the charity’s we help. Places like the NJSPCA, or the Wardogs. Or even just putting a smile on some ones face, be it a little kid or an elderly person.
Also Tony, I am sorry I am posting this without you checking it first. I know things are rough for you right now but remember we ALL have your back, If you need us, you know where to turn. ;hugs;

To Fur-b-q Security Staff...
Posted 13 years agoHello my friends.
I would like to start off by talking to my staff direct here. You guys [you know who you are] did a very good job given the timeline that you had to prepare to do the job. NOBODY blames any of you for what happened.
I know what you guys feel right now because I feel the same, So to tell you not to blame yourself, or to feel bad would be hypocritical of me. I know I feel partly responsible as well. The staff of Fur-B-Q want us to know that they support us and that despite a rather complex event, they know we did our best. We worked hard out there and they are very pleased with that.
You see the thing is, even if we had more security, or did more checks, yelled louder, or pushed harder, people will still find ways to do things behind your back. You all saw that with the events that happened at fur-b-q. Still, think of all the stuff we did stop, the people running towards the railroad tracks or onto police property, or the people who were drinking in the other lot, heck, we even told one of the paid crew members that she left her window open to her car. The fact is WE are human to, and we can only be in one place at a time. Things happen. Things will always happen. And thats why we were there.
So I want my security guys to look at things this way, Shit happened, O-well, it always happens, but it could have been much worse if you WEREN'T THERE TO STOP IT. So I ask that instead of apologizing, that my crew show support for the Fur-B-Q staff and Tony especially. They need it now.
And again, Thanks to the guys who helped with Security at Fur-b-q.

Posted 13 years agoDue to the outpour of stuff going on in regards to the NJ Fur-B-Q, I am removing my last post. Please EVERYONE, DO NOT TAKE ACTIONS INTO YOUR OWN PAWS. The Squad, Tony, and Razor all will be handling things. Please referred to Razors journals for more into. Thanks..
Pony deprivation, WHAT THE HELL IS THAT @.@
Posted 13 years agoSo at work last night, I hear a call come in over the radio... It was one of those calls that you ask yourself what the fuck is this world comming to......
Be warned, I have been on many emergency calls. This one will either make you smile, or piss you off to no end....
Dispatcher: Car 4..
Car 4: Go ahead.
Dis: Are you working zone b tonight?
Car 4: Afirm.
Dis: I need you to respond to ************** in regards to pony deprivation, Came in through the county. [AKA 911]
Car 4: Ok, in regards to what?
Dis: Pony [long pause] Deprivation
Car 4: Do you care to elaborate?
Dis: Caller says he will explain when you get there...
Now at first glance you think, Maybe its a kid who called 911, or maybe a prank call... NOPE! It was a 38 year old guy [I know cause they ran his license] who called because he couldn't watch enough My little pony on TV, video tape, DVD or whatever its on now... SERIOUSLY, WE'VE TAKEN TO AN EMERGENCY MEASURE IF WE CANT WATCH THESE LITTLE PONIES? HOLY SHIT!!!
Oh and the guys were on car 4 for it to.. Even I got in on the action, it was that bad..
Seriously.. IS THIS WHAT OUR NATION IS EVOLVING TO NOW? Man I hope he wasnt furry....

A Very funny story I heard....
Posted 13 years agoThe title,
"Remember, Jesus may be watching...."
A man broke into a home and began to search the house for various valuables when seemingly out of nowhere a voice said "Jesus is watching!" The man turned around found a parrot talking away, "Jesus is watching, Jesus is watching..." The man smiled and continued, relieved that he wasn't hearing things.
As he moved deeper into the house, the bird again squawked "Jesus is watching, Jesus is watching!!!!"
"Shut up!" yelled the man, as he turned to enter the next room.
However, as he entered he found himself almost face to face with Jesus, a 150 pound rottweiler, who was not happy to find the intruder in his home...
The moral of the story, No matter what religion you believe, or if you dont believe at all, If you do something wrong, Jesus may still be watching :P

The man turned around found a parrot talking away, "Jesus is watching, Jesus is watching..." The man smiled and continued, relieved that he wasn't hearing things.

FIREFIGHTER DOWN!!!! [All responders please read]
Posted 14 years agoA structure fire in Woodbridge has claimed the life of Firefighter Bruce Turcotte. Firefighter Turcotte is a member of the Hopelawn Volunteer Fire Dept, and suffered a heart attack. He was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced. Further details have been held as a second death is still under investigation.
My our prayers reach out to FF Turcotte's family and friends, and the members of the Hopelawn Volunteer Fire Dept.
**Update** News 12 has corrected its origional report that FF Turcotte suffered a heart attack while searching for a victim who also died in the fire. FF Turcotte was in fact located in the drivers seat of a Hopelawn fire apparatus.

No more net....
Posted 14 years agoThats right, after tonight, the internet at this house will be no more v.v' but dont worry, movein in just over 2 weeks [most likely sooner hehe]
Reason for the early disconnect is because I am being charged for it. While normaly this doesnt bother me, someone is using the net more and more [her son] which causes it to crash. now he wants it hooked directly to his computer and I have to ask for permission to use it. Not really fair as I paid for it. So I will be discontinuing the service, and well, since I am moveing soon, no point in getting comcast on my own for a couple weeks. lol. The place I am moveing to will have internet already so no worries there. But I dont know if I will have net at work. So to all my friends and furries, I wish you all well and happiness, and I will return on 12/13! ;sends hugs all around;

Final Storm Check In 8/29/11 18:30
Posted 14 years agoHey all.
All systems are back to normal so I figure I should update everyone as to my situation.
The power has come back on, so the back up generator is now set up for storage [or for Lawncon this weekend if it is needed] Both my landlord and I agree that it was worth the $150 to buy it however it would also be worth it to buy something that can handle more than 1000 watts. We were able to power lights, radio, phone chargers, the cable modem and router, and the laptop and ran about 400 watts on the inverter for about 14 hours. The generator used about a gallon and a half of fuel which worked very well. The generator also became useful as a 12 volt power source to run a pump to empty water from the septic lid. [Yes it was water, Long story short, the lid is below ground lever, when the tank was emptied earlier in the year we never filled in the hole. so to prevent water from filling the tank I covered it with a tarp] The generator will become more useful as time goes on. Still We couldn't really power the fridge or freezer without risk of burning the generator out.
It turned out that the reason for the power outage was because of some snapped lines, which as per the PD, was caused by what they called a mini tornado that hit less than a block away. this tornado cleared trees and a car or two from the side street it followed. It broke up as it moved further into the woods and could not sustain its winds I guess.
As for flooding, we didnt get any, however a short ride around town showed some areas did flood heavily. Lower areas had several feet of salt water.
Still we didnt get anywhere as much damage as others, For instance, moms house had a bit more damage, one window was broken, and several large branches littered her property. My dads had uprooted trees and I was told that the storm removed someones roof, but I can not confirm it.
The whole time I was between being frightened and almost excited. I could feel myself shaking, and I even called a few friends/family and told them about my thoughts and fears. Still people who saw me couldn't tell. My landlord said I was solid as a rock and determined to beat this storm no matter what it threw at me.
So for now, I am enjoying the nice sunshine, and later this week I plan to see Kaio and go to Lawncon, details of which are here: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2631303/
Thanks again all for your comments <3

Checking in 8/28/11 @ 08:20
Posted 14 years agoI am still alive, Reports are saying my area was struck by a tornado, however I dont see any evidence to support such a claim. I can say that over 2 feet of rain has fallen since 3pm yesterday. I am currently running via generator again, as power went out around 2:30 this morning. More updates as I have them
Checking in 8/27/11 @ 22:10
Posted 14 years agoA tornado was reported in the area, however I am ok. The power has been going on and off so I am running on a generator ATM. The crazy thing is the worse part hasnt hit yet. Emergency services have been going crazy with calls, transformer fires, fallen trees, and several house fires. So far this lil bunker of a room I have is doing fine. Only thing is without power theres no fan, meaning it gets very warm. v.v
I will keep posting as it goes.
Wind speed: 55 MPH gusting up to 75 MPH
Light to moderate Rain.

Posted 14 years agoIm still here. just hiding in my room right now relaxing. The wind has picked up a little but its not to bad yet. The state did issue a tornado warning for the area so we are watching the skys for danger signs. I have also learned that monitoring 3 radios can drive yer ears nuts lol

Posted 14 years agoHey all,
Those of you who know me well and know where I live know that my area is under emergency evacuation. v.v' While people have told me that I should get out now, I have made the choice to stay behind. There are two reasons for this,
#1, should things get bad, I have equipment, training, and some experience in emergency preparedness. My resourcefulness and witts should help as well.
#2, This is probably going to upset some people, but My landlord has chosen to stay put. I cant abandon her as I have the only vehicle. I feel that after all she has done for me, it is my duty to protect her during times like this.
Things I have done to prepare:
#1, I have set up the truck with medical supplies, water, and extra gas should it be needed. I also prepared the MFG boat should it be needed to escape or rescue.
#2, The generator was tested three times in the past two days.it starts up within seconds, and can power a nice load. I also have 2 gallons of gas plus the gallon and a half in the tank. that should be good for at least 24 hours of operation. If I use it sparingly, it can last quite a bit. I can also take some of the gas from the truck to extend the period in which the generator will run.
#3, I have my 2-way radio charged with spare battery. I can also charge the radio via generator or even in the truck. Same can be said for the phone.
*note, if you are a HAM operator, you can reach me via echolink on the W2NJR link system. It covers most on NJ so you'll hear reports from all over. My call sign in KC2YWQ. If you hail me, please keep the conversation short in case of an emergency. Thanks.
#4, I have packed my bags in-case I have no choice. Things like flooding, or damage to the house may force me to leave shelter. I have cloths packed, and an emergency back-up location. Thanks again Tony.
I will be checking in every few hours, minus the overnight hours, while I have access to the new and FA is running. I wont lie, I am a lil scared but I feel I am ready should something happen.
To everyone out there, If you need to get out, please get out NOW. I know its a lil hypocritical of me, but should something happen, I am prepared all around. Should something happen, rescuers may not be able to get to you for some time.
To those who are staying, Be careful, and good luck

Birthday Weekend / Fur-B-Q
Posted 14 years agoHey all
This past weekend was awesome ^^ Thursday I went up to
tonyringtail 's place and grabbed
kaiootter and went to the Thursday night meet in New Brunswick. There the nice and talented
ObsidianWolfess drew a pic of Aeon. Afterwords, Kaio and I went back to Tonys for the night. Friday I took Kaio to school, afterwords we went back to Tonys and met up with him and ferret and otter. We went out to dinner then back to watch movies.
Saturday I worked overnight, but still enjoyed my day.
Sunday was the big day. My 25'th birthday x.x' I went to moms from work and spoke with my mom for about an hour, then went home to grab Kaio and head up to the festivities. The party went great aside from all the rain.
razorwulff cooked Trenton Burgers and hot dogs for us all and
skippyfoxcub and
ronoverdrive brought cake ^^ we all chilled and chatted and had fun. The best was when the fursuiters came out. Rascal kept trying to steal Rick the Adventure Huskys' tail Those who watched Funday Pawpets Show heard two announcements bout my birthday ;blushes and hides; hehe.
Monday, Very few of us spent the night Sunday, So it was just Kaio, Tyke, Camo, Tony and I. We went out to get some food, then we all went our separate ways. I took Tyke and Kaio with me so I could drop them off in New Brunswick, but we hung out, going to the zoo, and trying to hide from the rain lol. But in the end, I dropped Tyke off at the train station, and Kaio off at his place, and things went quite for the ride home. I stopped in at my moms place as she and my brother made a surprise dinner for me, and I got to have a little more cake. Then went home.
Overall the weekend was a blast hehe, Another weekend wishing I could restart again and relive the fun. Thanks to EVERYONE who came to the party, and special thanks to Tony, for letting us hold the party at his place, and Razor for cooking for us in the rain.
Now for the NJ Fur-B-Q.

in need of advice...
Posted 14 years agobeen waiting on a commission that I paid for back at FAU. I ordered a badge, and I was told it would be about a month for its completion.
So I waited, and waited, and nothing. I sent this artist a note, and he said send him the ref and he'll get started on the sketch... Well, its been back and forth since then. every week I ask how the sketch is going, each week he asks me for the ref sheet, then says hell get to it tomorrow... well last night he gave the same damn line again, but today hes soing a damn paid stream again, and will most likely give me the same damn bullshit hes been giveing me...
Now, heres what I need advice on, if I ask for him to return the money, it'll end up costing me because I would need to use paypal... if I give his name, I think other people [IE his friends] will give me a hard time. Its pissing me off, and from what I hear, I am not the only one hes done this to. theres another fur thats been waiting over a year that has the same problem... what should I do?
