This is it.

I now finally have gotten Internet, at my new home. I left my parents, I'm living alone. It feels so great... and at the same time add so much new stress due to my financial situation.

I'm actually working until the beginning of July... and need to find a new job fast if I don't want to be kicked out of my new home in some months. So... I shouldn't be really active yet... probably more active than before though.


For the moment, I do not have a lot of things to show.

But the time I spent, being alone, without Internet, I progressed in the script of my comic project. I reached the 110 th page just yesterday. To think it's just a script, so it's more condensed than a novel, and that I probably must be at 10% of the progression of the real story I have in mind... It really IS a big project.

I also progressed on human anatomy studies and a new turn around for one of my character of my comic project (Kawa, again, since I have to modify her a bit).

And finally, I also improved on the dragon anatomy since I wasn't satisfied with the paws and some other details of the dragons I'm usually drawing. My herm dragon Keluna will then be slightly different. But just slightly.


Also, as I now moved and live on my own, some things will change of course. And some of you may wonder: "Will I open commissions / YCH / etc...?" I already talked with a few followers about it.

Well, this is not in my programm yet... But it could be soon. Especially that I will need more money now that I have to pay a rent. Don't worry however, if I open commissions, even if that's for money, my intentions are not to give a fast-made scrap and to take your money. I make a point of confining myself to my responsabilities. If someone is paid for something, he HAS to make this thing... or to apologize and to refund or propose a discount if the commitments were not completely fulfilled or if we're late on our fixed deadline.

Whatever, it's too early to talk about it. I'm not open yet. And don't worry, if I open, you will all get informed on the websites you can follow me: Tumblr, Deviantart, FurAffinity, Weasyl, SoFurry, "MAYBE twitter" and why not Patreon if I open one.


Then... what can I add? Ah, yeah, I kept myself informed about the progress of the 2.80 version of the software Blender. New interface, improvement of the grease Pencil to make it a 2D software as well, and most importantly, the Eevee real time render engine. And to be honest, I really feel amazed and impatient.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, Blender is an open-source 3D software. It is FREE and has, in my point of view, the potential to outperform its rivals at 2'000 or even 4'000 $ (Maya, Softimage, Cinema 4D...). It already outperformed 3DS-max since a long time now in my point of view, by the way. Lighter, Faster, more stable, and it has a real outliner and some other tools.

As you may have noticed, I didn't post a lot of 3D projects I worked with. It is mainly because I used this software mostly to help me in my drawings. I made several "sketches" of characters or Background with it, I rendered it and I used it as a scrap for my final 2D digital arts. Which also can explain why I'm sometimes slow to post a creation.

Though, with Blender 2.80 coming, and promising to be an excellent software, maybe I'll do more serious works on it. I dunno.


Whatever, I guess I said what I needed to say. I'll probably post some WIP of my work on my Tumblr soon (maybe in an hour, maybe in the coming week. I didn't decide yet).

I will move during this week. Officially, I’ll get my new home this thursday.

Though, I will definitely move in 1, 2 or 3 days later, the time I need to grab everything from my parent’s house to my new home.

Plus, I won’t get Internet immediatly. I’ll need some time to get the box. So, I’ll be really inactive from now on (I could still spend some time on Internet thanks to my parents’ box, but I couldn’t spend too much time on it whatever).

Hello everyone!


It's been a long time since I post anything in here.

First off, happy easter everyone! I hope you all tasted some delicious chocolate.

Some weeks ago, I already tryed to post weekly updates... at least on my Tumblr. But it was too hard to follow the rythm. So now, I'm trying to begin to post some monthly updates. Let's hope this will work this time.


So, what's new? Why am I so inactive this time? Do I still have a silly reason to give?

Well, to be honest, it is still the same excuses than usual. Though, some things has changed.

To begin with, the time has come. It is a question of months, maybe just weeks, until I finally find a way to leave my parents' house for good and to rent an (studio) apartment. So, of course, this leads to an unsure future for me, which causes me some stress and probably even some fears. There are after all some advantages by living with my parents. I have less things to worry about.

But I also have enough. I am 26 years old, I need to move!

This idea came to my mind since January, something like that... and it was at this moment I have become inactive again. There are no secret, the reason above is the main reason. I have to admit it. I'm stressed. I can't focus as I would like to be.

Plus, I intend to register to a course which will probably starts in January 2019. And the city where I intend to relocate is not the same than the one where the course should be organized. Which would mean that I could need to move 2 times in less than 7 months...

More stress more stress more stress... ><


Whatever, I didn't really was "this" inactive. Since January, I after all have made a big progression on the script of my comic project. I reached 70 pages of script just the latest Friday. And it only represents 1/10e of the story I have in mind, I'd tell. Also, I worked again on my characters and on the design / story of the dragons of my world. I have to be honest, I'm really proud of what I've written so far.


I apologize though for my inactivity here on Internet and hope that you'll understand. I may be more active again after July, I guess (and until I have to focus on the course for which I want to register). I know I could have kept you informed of my situation earlier, but it is hard for me to convince myself that yes, I can be and am stressed.

I'll try from now to post monthly updates though, to make my point... with you... and with myself.

Internet is so fantastic.

We can find a lot of people, meet them depending of our hobbies / our passion / our work... However, sometimes, you can find people whom are... rather awkward... sometimes manipulative, sometimes mean...

Today, I talked for the 100th time to an artist... I won't say his name because of the rules on some websites I will post this journal... and because I don't find it necessary, but he is in an important amount of "artists beware" list AND I met him (online, not in real life) some years ago.

And then, I needed to express a thought.

Something which is ABSOLUTELY obvious for me, but for this artist and for some "trolls" I met before online, it is apparently fully INSANE to think about it.

1st:
Yes, you can hate some artists, because there was a bad communication / a difference of opinion / etc...
HOWEVER, going to customers who paid these artists just to insult the artist commissioned by saying things like : "This artist is a b*tch" or "This artist do this only for the money and don't care about you"... THIS... is WRONG!!!!!!!
You have a bad experience with an artist? Then, block him, ignore his / her artworks posted elsewhere AND if the experience is so bad that it is fully unprofessionnal and unacceptable, then, ask an opinion on artist beware websites and if they confirm this is not acceptable, post a story with screenshots on the artist beware websites in question. Don't worry, a lot of customers knows about artists beware websites. If you don't know, ask.

2nd:
This one made my blood boil. Seriously. And it happened just today with the artist I'm talking about. It is totally OBVIOUS, but... visibly not for everyone:
If you learnt an artist (or any other person) you hated died... Do - not - spit - on - their - grave.
Do not insult them. Especially in front of his / her friends / family.
This is... UNACCEPTABLE!

Indeed, but that's precisely because we don't know your life that your insults are unacceptable and not receivable. And nobody will care about your life. You have to be the bigger guy, grow up, and get yourself a better life. Nobody can anything for you.

And plus, what is this mediocre excuse? "" I have the right to do it? "" Well, you have the right to be a bad person indeed, but... how can I say it?... Yes, this is ethically wrong!

When anyone says "I have the right to do it!", this person must make the difference between:
- The laws allow me to do it.
- A responsible party gave me the right to do it.
and
- This is acceptable in the society to act this way.

So, do you have the right to do it? Well:
- Yes
- There's no responsible party other than you, so yes.
- And... well... NO you absolutely DON'T!

So... from what happened just today, I needed to post this journal (it really feels good to release what I have on the heart).

But I also needed to warn you. The artist in question is known for lying and being manipulative. So, if something is posted against me, please, tell me or, better, report him. If someone tells you: "I really wish I could show you all what kind of a person he really is.", something like that, ask him for evidence. "I" have screenshots against him, to proove of his bad behaviour. He has nothing because I never was aggressive to him. I maybe was sometimes clumsy in what I said, or at the border, but I NEVER acted bad.

By the way, this rule is valid for everyone. Never trust someone who said "this artist / man is sh*t / a liar / a b*tch / etc..." as long as you don't have a proof of it. Always be wary! Even if this person is me. I won't say that you can trust me because I posted this journal to warn you of some bad and manipulative behaviours. But at least, on this journal, I don't tell the name of the artist in question. And if you figure out who it is, I can proove I'm not the one who is wrong / lying.

By the way, if you figure out who I'm talking about it, DO NOT post his name in the comments. THANK'S!

Hello, dear followers!

A small journal to tell you... that I'm back. A few weeks ago, indeed, my sister came visiting me after I didn't see her for at least a year. So, of course, being with good terms with her, I didn't spend much time in Internet. I was still present, indeed, but not very active.

Recently though, my sister came back to her home. So, I can get back to work.

That won't mean I will be very active, but at least, I can draw some things from my projects or for other people.

Actually, what I intend to do is:
- finishing 2 drawings
- starting my comic project (yes, you heard well. This should happen soon or later)
- probably preparing a commission prices sheet for a friend (that won't mean I'll be open for commissions though. There was just a friend who was quite insisting about it and I gave up XP) and make the second commission of my life (the 1st, quite old, can be found here: WARNING! Also, I'm keen on asking you. I know there's some people there who follow me, but I'd be curious to know WHY are you following me. What do you like the most in my gallery? What do you want to see more from me?

Hello everyone!

After a little... issue met with someone for a request, I decided to clarify an important point for me when I take and accept requests, freebies, commissions, etc... SFW as NSFW:
As you can expect it from my previous journal about the copyrights: http://akelun.tumblr.com/post/16706...../art-copyright , I am a digital artist who post my creations on Internet because I want to share them. I want to share my works... and I want to share my passion! This point is a very important one for me.

If I'm saying that, that's because someone requested from me to draw an icon for him (to use as an avatar). Though, once I made it and showed him and read he was satisfied with it, I said I will post it on my galleries the night / the day after, probably. But once I said that, this person told me that he preferes if this is not posted... at all.

And after some kind and professional debate, I decided, since it is just a simple icon that didn't ask me too much work, to accept to not post this work in particular.

Also, I insist on the fact that we debate on this point kindly and professionally. I have nothing against the person who asked me to not post his icon and I guess this person has nothing against me neither.

Anyway, I can say that I started to focus on my projects and on the NSFW freebies I opened recently (even if the icon I drew was SFW, I considere it as the first freebie I made).

BUT, from now on, keep in mind that ALL of the artworks I'll make for me as for others will be SUBMITTED on my galleries.


So, to make things clearer and shorter, here my actual terms of service for freebies / requests...:

But whatever, I need to say what I have in the heart... to share it, even if I may be wrong.
Just keep in mind that it's just a personnal point of view, and that I respect the fact that you may think differently of me.

Copyright... is not a PROTECTION for the artists... not any more.
Copyright is just a right to allow the artists to complain at the first - silly - reason.

What makes me think that?

Well, there is one question to ask first: what is the point of making art? What is the point of posting art on Internet?

For me, the answer is simple and can be resumed in one word: SHARING.

- We, artists, post art to "share" our work, our passion. Sometimes, some arts or specialities need to rely on other artworks. We can need references, sometimes. We can need a music for animations, if we are an animator... or an animation, if we are a music maker and want to accentuate the theme of our song with the help of an AMV montage. Whatever we are, a simple drawer, a musician, a singer, an animator, a Youtuber... we ALL need to WORK a lot on our creations.

- We, artists, also "share" our imagination. And, wether we like it or not, we can corrupt or act on the imagination of our watchers.


We, of course, need to be protected, as artists. We have to be protected against TRUE plagiarism (or TRUE art theft, if you prefere and don't know the real definition of plagiarism).
By "true", I mean the kind of plagiarism, when someone else save your work, publish it elsewhere and say "Hey! See that pic! It's mine! All made from me!".

BUT, in my point of view, we also have to respect the 2 points I mentioned above.

And copyright protects you against plagiarism and art theft, indeed... and happily... BUT it also gives to the artists the right to not respect the points I mentioned above.


We can talk about a very big japanese video game studio, for example, which propose since several dozens of years the same game series because they have popularity and can do it. They make you dream, with fantastic lands and creatures, give inspiration to a lot of artists. But, when some fans want to thank them and to honor them, with, for examples, some small fan games, that can't even have the potential to surpass the original games, then, the big japanese video game studio simply say: "Listen kid, we make you dream, alright, but we don't care. You're using what we made, we didn't allow it, so go f**k yourself!". I'm sorry for the fans of the studio who understood which studio I'm talking about, but that's what they say when they don't allow this kind of thing.

We can also talk about YouTube, maybe?
Back in 2010, it was great. I was a flash animator, I animated 2D stickmen animations and was watching great other flash animators like Terkoiz, Stone, dbs-1029, miccool, etc... Most of the time, when we were making an animation, of course, we needed a music to come with it, and with the theme. Sometimes, when we change the scene, we needed to change the music, so we could need 5 musics for just one animation (or more). Back in 2010, we COULD do this! And the fair use was working... most of the time. Now, how is YouTube? How animators can share their passion? We come on YouTube to submit our work, we don't monetize the video, because most of the time, young 2D animators didn't do it (and don't have the popularity to do it and gain enough money by the way)... but we sometimes have to pay for the musics, while we work sometimes as long if not more than the musicians who made the music(s)... all of this to gain nothing... Yeah. Great.

And can we talk about the "adopts" contest? Or the copyright about the new species artists are making (and which sometimes are not very extraordinary to be honest). WOW! I'm so glad that wyverns, dragons, elves and dwarves are not copyrighted species. Tolkien and other great authors would have been so doomed! And the "adopts" contest... I mean... What the f**k? Well, of course, it is easy money, but... Let 1 artist selling 6 dragon designs, Ok. Why not 20 artists selling 10 dragon designs? But once we'll have a million dragon artists who will sell 20 dragon designs, will it still be possible to make a dragon from our imagination and to avoid another artist coming, shouting: "HEY! Your design is far too close to the one I sold, you f**king thief!!!"?.

With ideas like the "adopts design", I'm not surprised any more when I learn on an artist beware blog that an artist came to another, complaining that their 2 own anthro tigers have the same number of stripes and that it is a character theft. Seriously... How can we be mad against this kind of artist who complain against a simple number of stripes and a tiger character when thousands of artists propose to sell character designs?
This "adopt" thing is just an aberration.

And yet, this is just a small part of what I'm thinking about copyright and arts on Internet in general. But I don't want to give you too much text to read. It's already awesome if you have read everything and have reached these last lines.

As a conclusion, as an artist, I have just one thing to say to the other artists who read this. Don't be selfish. Use the copyright when your arts are really stolen, let your watchers take some inspirations from your character(s), from your world(s). Ideally, if the art in question is not accessible for your Patreon's patrons or to people who sold it only, put a CC-BY licence instead of a Copyright. Show to your watchers you're not an intolerant uptight artist.

Art is a way to express yourself, to share your ideas, your opinion and your imagination. It can't be simply resumed as a possession which belongs to you... and sometimes to the person who paid for it.

If you have another point of view, want to discuss about something I say or simply have a question to ask me, then, do not hesitate to do it by comment.
And if you agree with me and want to share this journal, do not hesitate, as long as you credit me for it. This journal has to be shared as much as possible. I'm really disgusted to see how art is viewed by some artists nowadays, and I have difficulties to stand it day after day.

Hello everyone!

So, since September 30th, I am now 26 years old.

For this occasion, I planned to do several things... that I had to delay due to health issue.


FIRST, I wanted to finish my part of an art trade with,  Caehlynt .

Due to health problems, I wasn't able to do it, and it took me more than 1 full month to finally go at it again.

I did it because I find NSFW drawings harder to draw and so better to train and improve.

Hello everyone!

This time, and to change a little, I post an article which can seem useless, but which is important to keep you informed of some things.

And this article will be about me. What’s up from me? What is happening to me? Why my activity is so low? Have I some projects in the future?

In fact, the truth is that a lot of things happened to me lately. I got a new job since February approximately. It was a succession of fixed term contracts with some breaks between each contract. The latest one will end the 30th June.

Because of this, some of you begin to know me, I lost a big part of my activity.

At least... I lost a big part of my activity in Internet. Because 2 months ago, I received a new tablet: the Wacom Cintiq Pro 16, to replace my old Wacom Cintiq 12wx (bought in December 2010).

With that tablet, I continued a bit some drawings, made my new actual avatar you can watch in the highest resolution (1080p) in Deviantart just here: http://akelun.deviantart.com/art/Ke.....ming-682657475 and I also worked in some other NSFW drawings.

And from these latest drawings, I noticed something. I noticed that I’m a bit rusted with some things AND ESPECIALLY that I need to study a lot more the muscles. Because despite the fact that I’m using 3D models with Blender to help me to not make anatomical or perspective mistakes and despite the fact that I already improved and learnt a lot about muscles, there are still parts of the body which give me some troubles to draw correctly.

So, what are and will be my projects from now on?

Well, of course, I will train to draw all of the muscles (from animals and humans... even if I shouldn’t have too many things to improve in human muscles, it’s mostly the animal parts... to draw dragons for example).

But also, now that I have a very professional and comfortable tablet to work with, I’m pretty confident that I should be able to open some commissions for the first... real time of my life AND maybe to suggest some YCH.

So, sorry, once again for the lack of activity. I should be back during this summer, with probably some news and maybe some surprises, and I wish you all a good day and a good continuation. ;)

Hello! How are you, everyone?

Here, I write a new journal... without good reason for once. Just because... I wanted to. I wanted to share this. I wanted to share this unbelievable novels serie that really makes me dream and travel in a wonderful world: "Les royaumes de feu" [FR] (or "Wings of Fire" in the original version) from Tui T. Sutherland.

I don't know if you know those novels and if that's the case, if you love them as much as me, but damn it, I love everything!
Why?
Well, first of all... because there are dragons! *.* <3
... Ok-OK! It's too easy! XD
But that's not the only thing! The descriptions... Fast, simple, but clear. And more especially... The characters. Damn! I really love how they are! Their differencies, their personalities, their reactions when something's happening... Yeah, I love everything!
And even the COVERS! HOLY SHIT! They're SO WELL drawn!!! =D
And for once, the drawings in the cover are the same in the English novels as well than in the French novels (on the contrary of the covers of Harry Potter which was a total mess compared to the English covers... ><)!

If you love novels... and fantasy... and dragons... I really advise you to take a look at those novels! They're so awesome! I devoured each of these volumes in ONE day. And DAMN! I would be so happy to be a native English-speaker. Because then, I won't be stopped at the 6th volume and have to wait for the next to be translated (Already 10 volumes in English, and the 7th will be translated in French in September... T.T)

And finally, if you already know those novels, don't hesitate to share your opinions about them as well, I'd be glad to hear them. =D

Whatever, simple words can sometimes be stronger than pictures, so, that's why I was keen on wish you a MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Hello everyone and sorry for these late news.

As you noticed, I am really, really inactive these latest days. The reason is that I am on holiday, in the North of France. I should be back home in mid-August, but knowing that I'll wait a cousin, I should really be back in the end of August if not in the beginning of September.

Knowing that I began my holiday since mid-July, that's quite late news, I know, but better late than never. ^^


Also, I wanted to ask you something about a potential future interest of opening commissions / YCH.

The fact is that now that I have a new and very powerful computer (since May) and now that I played enough with it, I have no reason to not work anew on digital creations. After all, you noticed it, I began to post some 3D creations and new drawings (like the references of the white fluffy anthro dragon Sky), so I could maybe find the time to get organized enough to open commissions as I planned to do already several months if not years ago.

Of course, I know I also will need the time to write and post my Terms of Services and to post some new drawings as examples of what I can do, this will take time and maybe I couldn't start before September / October but... right now, I just need to know:


"Are there persons who could be interested that I open commissions?"

I'm finally back... Back on FA. I met a really big problem with the password recovery, probably because of outlook.fr and indirectly then, because of the shitty Micro$oft company (as it's them who bought back hotmail and make it a lot worse and as, from Furaffinity's twitter, it was explained that the mail we needed to receive to reset our passwords were blocked only on hotmail's / outlook's addresses).

But finally, thanks to Dragoneer who answered to my mail, I'm back on FA! Yay! =D

So, for the moment, I'm still a bit active and working on some 3D and 2D creations, but it's essentially things long to make and references. Also, I still have a job (which mean that I can't work 100% on my creations and that sometimes, I'm really too exhausted to work on it when I come back home) and yesterday and today, I have been sick. So, it's normal if I don't post a lot for the moment. It just means that I need a lot of time to finish what I'm working on.

In 48 hours, I posted 13 new drawings (4 reposts from my NSFW account, 5 versions of the turn around of the main character of a project and 4 versions of a reference for SkyDragon7) and from them, I received more than 100 notifications. A dozen and more of comments (Always the best), 103 favorites and 4 watches.



So, from the bottom of my hearts, thank you everyone!

This is just a little thing to do, I know (for the people who didn't comment, just pressing 1 or 2 buttons did the thing), but this means a lot for me and this is touching to see the interest you show to my works (the older ones, as the newer ones). I knew that I would receive a lot of notifications by posting so many new drawings, but I didn't think it would be this much. And I had this kind of result only on FA. So, once again, thank you! ^^

Also, as some of you probably noticed, I let my drawings in more than 1280 px width or height with a little writting below: "Higher resolution displayed / downloadable on Weasyl / Furry-Network. To precise, I know there is a technic to post my drawings on FurAffinity in more than 1280 px width or height. However, if you didn't notice it, it's just a glitch, not an official technic. When you submit something, FurAffinity precise that we can't post higher resolutions, maybe to avoid a website overload.
So, to respect this and to avoid potential problems, I decided that I won't use this technic / glitch on FA and I invite you to follow me on Weasyl / Furry-Network as well if you want to see / download my drawings in higher resolution.
This writting is also present on the drawings posted on Tumblr because if that's possible to submit higher resolution on this website, I didn't notice where to do it yet. =/

Hello everyone!


Now, I can announce it officially, but I finally got my new computer! And this is a real beast! =D
To be honest, I already received it, installed it on my desk and tryed it 30 days ago, but I kept that as a little secret because I was too tempted to play a little with it before going back to creations. =)

So from now, I'll try to be more serious and to continue to draw, to create 3D models / animations and to be more active on Internet.

Soon, I will post my best NSFW creations from my previous NSFW account, the 2 drawings of my blue dragoness Astra drawn by Fortuna and an improved version of a reference of one of my character (a turn around to make a 3D model). So, nothing new for the moment, but next, you should see more from me like a reference for a friend from FA (Yes, Sky, I didn't forget you, but I'm still a bit busy so I couldn't always go on Skype and continue your drawing. That's something I will correct soon), an improved avatar, my blue dragoness Astra in an anthro body drawn in a kinky situation and several new little things.

Will I manage to be more active? Will I manage to post more creations faster?
I don't know and I can't promise, but I will try for sure and, if I manage to do so, why not beginning to propose YCH and commissions and / or beginning my comics project?

Recently I decided to merge an account I used for NSFW (= adult) creations only and so, from now on, I got a lot of new watchers and I'm keen on thanking all of you who decided to keep watching me (and the ones who just discovered me and decided to watch me for the first time too, of course). I'm really glad you decided to still follow my work. Here a big dragon lick on your face to thank you! ^^

And so, about this news which explained my inactivity: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/19092676/ , I let you know that I finally got enough money to pay for this new computer I need and that I will buy it this Monday if everything goes fine. Though, I won't receive it immediately as I decided to pay a system integrator for this new computer to be able to choose all the components separately to really have a good beast for what I need to do. Also, I'll probably need some time to configure everything and to learn again all the basis in digital creations I lost because of my inactivity (shouldn't be too long however).

So please, stay patient. I will still be inactive for some weeks, but I will try to do my best to use professionally and conscientiously this new computer I will get.
