Posted 11 years agoWelp, I needed to get through this week of school so I could give a proper con report. So here ya go~Thursday AfternoonGot up around 10, did some last minute packing and then headed over to 
's house around 12. Has some minor difficulties and last minute annoyances, but it was all sorted out. 
had already made it over there and the three of us hung around while waiting for 
who soon showed up with his friend Markus. After that, we loaded on up and headed out about 12:30-1:00. The car ride was hilarious, oh my god I had not laughed so hard in awhile my sides hurt so bad xD After about 4 hours of driving, we arrived in Charlotte and picked up Markus's friend, Vanessa. Then we were officially off! We soon entered South Carolina for food and then we were back on the road again. Around 7:00 (I think?) We had landed in Georgia and soon headed in Atlanta. I'm not use to big city stuff, so it was a beautiful sight to see. Being my first con, I was so excited to see furries start appearing around the Westin, and immediately spotted some that I knew. We soon got a bellhop, got checked in and headed up to our room. While waiting at the elevators, the first person I recognized 
who squealed of joy when she found out who I was xD We got up to the room, unpacked and suited up. I ran into 
who I had been wanting to meet for awhile~ I ran into some other peeps (who I sadly can't remember atm D:) and pretty soon I hunted out 
who I was very excited to meet <3 Miranda, Kewlie and I then decided to take a break and desuited in the room. I headed back out quicker than them and met up with

again <3 I hung out with Williamca for a bit, I got to meet 
, tmain and enjoipandas. I walked around for a bit more then decided to desuit again. After a short break, me, Kewlie and Miranda headed down to dance. We were up for awhile, then headed to bed when it was over.
FridayMe and my girls got up and suited around for a bit before we ran into pixelthefotter, themagentafoxx and sockunein the headless lounge. I also met toxicjava who stuck around while everyone did a suit head swap! After a bit of fun, hugs and pictures, we went to desuit for a bit and grab some lunch. I went down to the underground mall and grabbed pizza. There, I found the three local cuties renegadeisamonster with her lady chaoscanine and marblesbravetail. I also met gummy-sweet and omgsparky~ I soon headed back and suited for a bit where I briefly ran into bluesparks O: It was awesome meeting another lazylupe suiter xD I suited for a bit more and then took a break to finally meet burgs and zapora who were working staff <3 I got back in suit for a bit and met a bunch of other people before heading to the floor wars. It was amazing! Definitely considering it for next year c: I then headed back down in suit for the friday night rave. I danced so hard and had to take several breaks. During one of my breaks I met leonicninja who has become a big inspiration for me to dance. I walked around a bit before finishing the last hour of the rave with Rawkz0r's set which was AMAZING! I finally snagged a hug from enigmatanzaku who I also finally met. Sore but full of adrenaline, I headed in for the night.SaturdayWoke up early. Tired. Sore from the dance, but my crew suited up and headed down to the fursuit picture and parade. There were 415 total. After, we desuited where I ran into Burgs again and FINALLY got to meet itsallinthemix who's suit was even cuter in person! After, I walked around and ran into several friends, saw the PWA and AF photoshoot, and commissioned a beautiful badge from the local manedcorgie while trying some fancy desserts~ Also in the artist alley, I met the awesome starrikkyrubui c: After walking around a bit, my crew went to Hard Rock Cafe for dinner; who turned out to have wonderful food but cheated us out of our money. After a bit more walking, I soon bought myself a gorgeous rainbow husky tail from SparkleKatKrations and chilled in the room. After that, it was time for the dance comp. It was just as amazing as the floor wars, and everyone did great! After, we took another break and met the ever so amazing geekidog (who I totally fangirled over) then suited up for the dance. Pretty soon, a very drunk schecter danced with us xD Pretty soon, Miranda and Kewlie left, where I was left to dance with that tipsy wolf :P We both took a break, then he realized he lost his badges. So we set off and searched with no luck, but as thanks he gave the best fursuit snuggles~ <3 Pretty soon I ran into firr who though Koolco was just the most adorable thing xD After that I desuited and sat with silentwulf for a bit before sadly heading back to the room, unprepared to leave tomorrow morning.SundayWe woke up sadly, packed our things and walked around. I did last minute shopping, said my goodbyes to a few lingering friends, and we were off. I struggled not to cry on my way back home. Thank you to everyone who made my first con and FWA a memorable experience. I am so blessed so have met you all and absolutely cannot wait until next year. <3FWA Meme~!

Posted 11 years agoSo it's been awhile since my last journal. Finals start monday and then a small break. Immediately after that, my new classes start so art may slow up a bit. Life in general has been okay I guess. I didn't get anything for Christmas, but I have lots of new year's resolutions including drinking more water, stay on my one weightloss shake a day, make better grades, and maybe quite possibly get a boyfriend. My partial fursuit has been completely paid off, and I estimate completion around later this month-early/mid febuary. As you can tell I have started updating my prices on my commissions tab. If you are interested in commissioning me I will warn you, my prices have increased quite a bit. I have started producing quality art that I am finally happy with, so I better attach quality prices along with. As for conventions, I -MAY- be going to FWA; if I can bribe the money out of my dad which is kinda slim chance. As for AC, I have a 65% chance of going, so hopes are looking high there! :D I am pretty excited, even though I haven't even purchased tickets yet xD But yeah THERE ARE SO MANY OF YOU THAT I WANT TO MEET ;o; Commissions would be -very- helpful for saving of for both AC and FWA. Thank you to my wonderful watchers and my amazing friends for inspiring me to go on this far <3-Akki~

Summertime Hell: Life Changes + Back To School
Posted 12 years agoSummer is rapidly approaching an end, so I thought I may as well recap my overall experience. I have to say this was my worse summer, by far. It started with me being in a women's shelter, due to my father attempting to assault my mother; and for our safety, we fled. It was hell, we were only allowed two bags that held our possessions so we purchased the largest trash bags that we could afford and no food was allowed in our rooms (though we got away with breaking that rule several times heh). The shelter was completely in control of our freedom; curfews at 8:00, countless pointless meetings to attend, chores after dinner and "work experience" for those who have never worked before (even though my mother has been working all her life, she was still forced to do so), screaming children...it was hell. Not to mention it was freezing every night because the air conditioning would blast on our side of the room and the wifi would not reach therefore I was driven back and fourth to Barnes and Noble so I could use Starbuck's internet. Depending on what day it was, I could be there anywhere from 3-7 hours; and if there was a meeting that cut it my enjoyment of talking to my friends and drawing even shorter. I was pretty much at wit's end...I was depressed, enraged, and just all around confused about my own self. The only thing that kept me sane were the memories of Animezment back in May and the magic of suiting (speaking of which, my suit wasn't even allowed in our room unless it went in a high-heat dryer so it was forced to stay outside in the sizzling heat for 3 days until we built up enough courage to sneak it inside). I was just ready to give up hope of ever getting out of there until....a certain someone kept me going (he knows who he is~). I couldn't have asked for better timing. And with him I grew closer and closer until things happened...and it was the best thing that had ever happened to me this year. Because of this, things became bittersweet among my other friends and close bonds drifted apart...but that did not stop me from loving him. He stuck by me and gave me the strength and courage to keep on going and not give up hope and I will never be able to thank him enough for that. 2 months of living in the shelter and we persevered. After applying to some newly built apartments, my mother got the call and we were allowed to move in. I have never felt so much joy and emotion to move out. We packed our small but heavy load and sped off to our new home. Unfortunately, things happened between me and him and didn't even last a month and are no longer together. It was an incredibly major blow on my end (considering I still love him very much to this day..), and I have definitely been suffering from it emotionally still to this day; but I will just have to learn to get over it and move on..eventually. We have currently been living here for approximately 4 weeks. And thanks to several church members and a friend of moms' we now have furniture, food stamps, and recently a lawyer. And with school starting next Monday, I will be starting life as a high school Junior; which means I will be busier than ever with not much time to art. But the fight for freedom is far from over; in fact with our new lawyer...it's just beginning. Thank you to all who dealt with me during this unfortunate time, and thank you to anyone who took the time to read this. Posted 12 years agoLong story short, some shit went down with my dad (wayyyy before Animazement) so my mom and I are currently located in a women's shelter. The wifi there will not reach my room so I am forced out to the living room battling the cries of screaming children; hence why I rarely get on now. I still have my phone and can fav stuff but not really much arting going on. I /may/ upload the occasional something but it will be very rare until the end of this month when we move into an apartment. Until this is resolved, trades, collabs and requests will be closed. Commissions will remain open.
