Fursuit progress and life
Posted 2 months ago Fursuit !
Yesterday important steps were completed !
i finished sewing the head together completely and I almost finished it ! it's only missing a few touches !
It has been a long project so far and it's like everything is speeding up lately.
It's incredible how quick it got assembled compared to the time it took to do the base and the overall first steps.
I can't post it yet but i will when it's done and i can't wait to show you all the results.
For now it turns better than anything i could have hoped for for a first suit !
Life
On my personnal life aspect lot of things are moving. i stopped scouts and i plan on getting more involved in furry events.
this year at uni is looking like it will be quite light so I also plan on getting a job so maybe more arts and such could be on the way.
if i succeeded on first session I would like to go to EF this year and maybe work on my second fursuit by then.

First journal and fursuit talk
Posted 2 months agoAlright ! So there's only one way to start a journal and it's to start it !
During the last year i started fursuit making, i wanted to have my own fursuit (of Kibo) after going to a con in 2022 and just seeing so many fursuits.
So i googled hard and harder. I found many many tutorial and i started making my fursuit. I started with the arms and i was happy with these.
So i didn't do more for a few months, the time for me to watch more tuto to gain confidence for the real thing that is the head...
I didn't want to go with bucket head and other because i consider myself very bad at sculpting, I needed something easier and that let you fail and start again.
Fortunately for me that is what clay is for. I sculpted at small scale in clay the shape of the head. I patterned it and upscaled and i was good to go with EVA foam.
A few days later and one big fail, i had a good fursuit base. It was time to stop again and gain more confidence through more tutorials...
Today, i have finished most of the sewing of the face and the eyes in the process, I must still glue it on and do the back. shave and finish up. It's a lot to do but it is working, trial and error and never forcing on a failed piece is paying off. My only fear is to not finish it by the time of the convention in november. But i believe it can do it !
and when I do, my first fursuit will be posted here !
