Hey, Alex here, I know that I haven't posted anything here in a while and I have been limiting my online presence for my own mental health

I had some time to think and after some deep thinking and a lot of planning, I'm gonna be posting here again. With some changes

- I'll be posting every two weeks, on Saturdays or Sundays

- I will be promoting my Patreon Page and Ko-Fi page on every post

- I will begin posting the full comic Skylanders Paradox Dimensions on March's second week, I'll be posting every Saturday at 1:30 Pm (GMT-4)

- I'll be promoting my commissions and other art galleries often, those being Deviant Art and my Telegram channel as well as my Ko-fi and Patreon

-I'll be making some exclusive content for Patreon later on this year, it's still a work in progress. So I still don't know what to do with it other than just make it a tip jar for now

- If I see that my patreon is receiving more support, if more people subscribe, I'll start drawing the revamped pages/story of my comic project "Alex and Serbian". (Keep in mind that Skylanders Paradox Dimensions will remain to be posted on my public galleries since it is a non-profit fan project, same goes for another comic project I'm working on)

I'll be dropping all the artwork I've done so far throughout the day, and I hope y'all have been doing well and have a good day everyone

I've come to the decision of stop sharing my art on social medias because clearly it's not working well for me, I get too stressed for the lack of interactions with other users, being overshadowed by other artists and I've come to the conclusion of "Why even bother sharing my works if other artists are just gonna overshadow me? Nobody would like to even look or comment on my stuff that way"

I'm mostly doing this for my own health because I get depressed easily and when I started posting art, I thought we could all share out thoughts and feedback on each other's works, share our passions and just enjoy doing what we love. That's not how it went for me... it was always a struggle, a competition to make the cleanest lineart, the most accurate anatomy, who had the most followers, to have the most realistic shading and I'VE HAD ENOUGH

I only became an artist to express myself, share my dreams and passions with others but it has only been on a downfall for me, I'm tired of thinking I'm not good enough, I'm tired of feeling that I'm less than everyone else, I'm tired of being the weakest link... all this emotional, mental and physical struggle has become has made me think the worst of me, I can't even bring up what's good about me or my art because I just don't know any positives about myself! and I feel that... if I just stopped posting the world isn't just gonna stop spinning, nobody will stop doing the things they do... maybe it's for the best that I stopped posting on certain websites, this one included. I will try to keep posting my works on Kofi and Patreon without any sort of paywalls to start building a sort of decent portfolio, and I'll be posting more on my DA page and Telegram channel just so that I don't stress over being noticed since I feel those might be my only safe spaces

If you are disappointed that I'm technically leaving, don't be. I'm not deactivating this account at all, I will still use FA, just not post here since clearly the kind of content I make isn't well accepted here.

Yes, I do have a Patreon and a Kofi, but those pages aren't big enough to make a sustainable income each month

So, I'll leave my patreon there as a tip jar and my Kofi is my main commissions page and a tip jar as well, so, I won't be working on bigger projects like my Alex and Serbian comic OR the Skylanders comics publicly until I notice a lot more interest on any of those projects. I really just don't want to stress myself enough as it is, and I'm basically new to this stuff of making webcomics

As the title says, I haven't uploaded anything because of things I'm currently dealing with IRL. My sister separating from her now ex-boyfriend, a good friend of mine, or so I thought when he tried to scam me and steal all my money. I've been having a lot of depression spikes lately which has taken a severe toll on my work as an artist and has frozen my consistency on posting art anywhere, even here. I have been doubting if any of all my works, even the works in progress and newewst works are good enough, I've had troubles sleeping and a lot of other things I don't want to dwell too much into it

So, I'm trying to come up with good fanart ideas but I can't make up anything. I said I won't be drawing my OCs and post them online for a long time, but now I just don't know what to draw to keep my concent cosistent anymore! I wanted to do more fanarts but Patreon bans accounts that uploads fanarts behind paywalls (as I was told) so I don't know what to do for that page now, I'll still upload my stuff on Ko-Fi with no paywalls whatsoever, other than that, I don't know what to draw anymore

Ok, so, I don't know what else to do, this week's been rough for me emotionally and I'm feeling overall tired, couldn't get any good sleep lately. On top of that, my phone is out of commission, it won't turn back on nor take any charge so I need to find a new one

As for my Patreon, I thought of making Sonic art with multiple alts but Patreon doesn't allow fanarts at all, so I'm out of ideas of what to upload there

And what about the comic? I threw everything I had into the trash can to start over from scratch and get back to the drawing board, I'll take about a year to work on it, might post teasers of the pages and character concept arts and world concept arts

I've decided to stop drawing my ocs and cancel my comic project Alex and Serbian for good

I just realized that everything I did with them has been nothing but one mistake after the other and learned nothing from it

I'll just focus on fanarts and completely bury every single Oc I ever created deep under ground and give up entirely on my stupid dreams of ever becoming a comic artist or character designer, I was just never fit for that position and I was good, yes. But just not good enough...

I've been working on this mostly as a temporary Patreon exclusive until I'm much far ahead with it so that I can start posting it to the public

I won't be uploading anyting this week either, sorry about not saying anything and staying quiet for so long, things have been going on around Peru.

Long story short, political meltdowns where I live, stupid people trying to take over the area I live in, zero chances of getting into college for once, emotional breakdowns that I'm still recovering from, and a whole more of Tauros shit that's hard to go through

I did reopened my KoFi and Patreon to give them good use and make a sustainable income, so far a few people have helped me with donations, subs and commissions and I can't thank them enough, but it still isn't sustainable enough, I gotta work harder to get out of this spot

Thank goodness I have really good friends with me to support me through all this chaotic, and slightly traumatic, mess

I'll try to post 2-3 journals every week to stay active on here, and if possible, a WIP of anything I'm working on or random sketches I make. I thought of making my gallery look "professional" somehow but I guess I'm not allowed to afford that sort of luxury anymore, oh well, such is life

So this year didn't really start good for me, I haven't been able to draw for the first week of January and got me delayed in a ton of work I had pending and right now I'm in a tough position that's making me do drastic changes in the way I work and in the way I'm gonna work with my online galleries. So, from now on I'll be posting all the work done during that month (in this case January by the time I posted this Journal) will be posted on the final day of said month (in this case January 31st) and I'll be posting all my works earlier on Ko-fi and Patreon

So if you can or if you want to, because I'm basically begging for economical support at this point, support my Ko-fi and Patreon pages since at the moment those are my only sources of income. I'll be adding Patreon exclusive artworks that I might not show here on my online galleries and Ko-fi will be my main source for taking on commissions, so if you can support me on one or both pages, I'll greatly appreciate that, really!

A lot of things have been happening lately that are making times difficult not just for me, but the household I live with too, they literally told me I should be making more money because at this point, I'm practically dead weight to them and I'm finding my ways of making a stable income out of my art because I already got a part time job managing social medias and it's really stressing and doesn't pay much honestly

Yup, my Ko-fi used to be a tip jar but it's sorta how I started making commissions now. So to put it short, I'll be posting my artworks on Ko-fi more often than on here and I'll be managing commissions there

Things have been pretty slow on my end while I've been figuring out a lot of things about myself. It's not easy to break bad habits

Even now, my big project will be delayed until next month due to recent events forcing me to go back to college once again, however the admission exams will be next year around January or February. I'll try my best to upload here and on my DA as much as I can.

I have been feeling a bit under the weather lately, overall tired and a lot of negative thoughts have been surrounding me these past weeks, and it's driving me nuts

I was also signed up to a part time job the past week that took most of my time and energy to draw anything. If I find any free time this week, I'll get down to draw something at least, or even the motivation or mood to upload something. Again, not been feeling so good lately and I'm just repeating myself at this point xd

I wanna ask y'all something. What would you like to see in my gallery uploads? A fully rendered, digitalized artwork? or a quick, kind of rough sketch? Because I've been thinking of uploading sketches every weekend so that I don't slack off on my work as often. and Sketches don't take a lot of time to make, fully digital artworks on the other hand can take days or weeks (it really depends on the artwork's size and quality)

I'd like to read your thoughts about it and what would you think is best to start building up an audience?
