Well, I had planned a new year art and art summary of 2021 but, due to some recent events involving my sister, saying my art (basically the thing I work my butt off for and I do for living) is worth nothing and all I do is sit on my butt all day, So I'll have to cancel all my projects because I'm not feeling in the right state of mind and /or the right state of emotions.

So, as of right now, my art posting hiatus begins now. I'm sorry but, I just can't work in a household of people who thinks my art is just a hobby, not a work of a lifetime.

This won't include commissions however, I'll still do commissions, just won't post them. I'll try to update my commission info in the following months. Of course, tips and suggestions are always appreciated.


Other than that, I have nothing else to say. So have a Merry (late) Christmas, a Happy New Year and a Prosperous year 2022

So, starting from January 1st, 2022, I'll stop posting art on all my social medias, including FA, DA, Instagram, Twitter and Art Station.

A couple of things to mention, I won't drop likes and follows and won't comment on any posts or replies of any sort

A QUICK REMINDER

I'm not giving up, dammit! I'm taking a long-ass break to just focus on doing better art, I'll take an entire year to become a better artist, an artist that people will notice for their hard work and not for drawing something that's trending or meme-ish or some new furry character that people start to drool over! I want to be recognized for my hard work! I've been drawing seriously for 7 years, 7 freaking years! And I feel that I'm not rewarded for my hard work! All the time I put into new art techniques, character design and development and storytelling, I feel that I do all of that just to still be stuck on the same damn whole for another 7 years, well I don't want that. Not for me or any other artist. To all artists who struggle, both SFW and NSFW, just draw whatever makes you happy, not what people want. YOU make the art that makes you feel happy, DRAW for yourself and no other, DON'T sell yourself low and draw stuff you don't like for followers, your audience comes with all the stuff you like to draw. Remember this and you'll be happy doing the art you like, just don't forget to add a little variety to your works as much as you can. I don't want anyone else to suffer on the same spot that I am.

Other than that, I have nothing else to say, unfollow me if you want, I won't mind. I have to earn my following with my own sweat and blood the right way, with hard work and dedication to my own works. I hope you all have a good day, have a Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year.

Does anyone consider me as an underrated artist? I've been into this drawing and character design stuff for years now and some people have said I'm an "Underrated Artist".

I'm not sure if that's true tho, some say I deserve more followers and stuff but I'm insecure about my own artistic abilities

I don't post artwork as frequently because I know nobody is expecting big things from me, since I don't have a huge following which also slays my motivation to draw a little. I feel like I'm stuck in a mud trap, no matter how much I practice, no matter how many classes I take, no matter how many hours I put by back into it, I feel that I'm not making any progress with the stuff I do.

Heck, I feel that I'm not "Character Design Industry" material after a lot of thinking and a little talk with someone more experienced than me too, and that also works on the side of that industry too. I feel that whatever I do is just too much of "Amateur" work.

So that's why I decided to take my character design and comic artist career slow and easy to not up my expectations too high. So when I take a fall, the landing won't hurt as much

But, in your opinion, you guys think I'm underrated? or I'm just not ready for what I want to achieve? Be honest about it, I know how to take things with a grain of salt now. I had a lot of time to reflect about my behaviour when I get criticism

Yup, this day 23 years ago I was born. Today's my birthday, I'm a 23 year old boomer lol

I don't know, I feel that all of my art posts didn't get as much engagement as I expected. Even if I add +10 tags, it doesn't get a lot of engagement? Is it because I only draw my OCs and nothing else? Even fanarts don't help as much. I did realize that one of my most popular posts is that one drawing of Sonic the Hedgehog I did back in 2019

Am I doing this the wrong way? Why am I not reaching out to new people, expanding my audience? I anyone has tips on how to improve my engagement with my posts, I'm open for suggestions

As this journal's title said, a HUUUGEEEE art dumpster is coming to both my DA and FA. Basically, it's all the art I've done for classes and those I've done in between the classes to prevent creative burnouts. So if your feed is full of my stuff, now you know why XD

Yup, as the title said, I play Socialpoint's most popular mobile and now PC games, Dragon City and Monster Legends.

I've been on Dragon City for a while now, and I'm doing pretty good there! got losta dragons, habitats and whatnot. Our clan is doing decently!

on Monster Legends however, I don't got a much progress as I have on Dragon City. I'm basically starting out, I don't have a clan yet but I was thinking of making one (but it will take a while xD), so if anyone that reads this plays Monster Legends and has a clan, hit me up to join! I'm planning to become a regulary active player

also, can someone tell me why Monsterwood doesn't show up for me? it did show up on my mobile save file but when I opened it up, it wasn't there. Eventhough I had daily missions that requiered to watch vids on monsterwood to get rewards

Well, since my last Journal, I've been working on saving up money for a new laptop and all that sweat and bone dust paid off

I finally managed to buy a new laptop and it's working well! I just wanna take this time to say THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH to all of those who supported me during this rough time, I really can't be more grateful than I am right now

As for the character design thing, I'm working on it, I'm practicing every time I can, I'm also studying how to write stories and character sheets, so I can bring better quality content to this gallery and on my other social medias.

another thing to mention, I'm still open for 5$ commissions, now both in traditional art and digital art.

Some people I used to consider friends told me that I should give up on art, just because I'm a whinny beginner artist who can't make a living out his art. I already took my decision, I want to know what YOU guys think

I really can't do anything else, all they said was "get a damn job" "freaking wake up and stop dreaming" those words really broke me, but something a friend said to me was heart breaking "You'll NEVER get a job in the art industry with this kind of f***ing attitude! You'll end up in a deeper hole that you will never get out of" all because of how I react to failure... because of my stupid fears, I'm already a failure....

I just want to know your thoughts, I already made up my mind, you don't have to worry about my choice, I want to know what you people think I should do

So recently my laptop, my only source of imcome, has been showing signs of its near demise

Today it started to make an annoying noise and overheat like crazy, slowing down and everything. I had to turn it on and off 10 times this morning and it even shut itself off from nothing, I'm afraid that it might not turn on again, so I'm planning to set up traditional sketch commissions soon to save up money and replace this PC for a new one

What's right or wrong in art?

Not draw my OCs anymore but not give up on them?

Use references for this but not for this?

WHAT THE FUNK IS EVER RIGHT OR WRONG IN ART?! You know what? FUNK ALL OF THAT! Screw it!!

I really wanted to learn and do something different for once, but doing some things and denying others is BS!

I want to be a freelance character designer, I want to learn, I want to evolve! but not to the point I can't draw the shiz I want and bottle up my creativity! I wanna be free to learn at my own pace!

Ok, so, I think I'll stop drawing my OCs, I don't know if I can even call them that way anymore...

"Why?" you may ask? well, it's because they've never worked as "original characters" nor they ever will. they were just a waste of my time, they don't get any attention at all, they are not appealing, they're just a laughingstock, nobody takes them seriously, always being compared to Sonic the hedgehog, people just think they're the same characters, it just became clear to me that they're not ready to be shown to the public nor they ever will

So... I don't know if anyone will miss them, I doubt anyone will, but it's time to say goodbye to my characters (it will be temporary tho, I might show them later in the future but who knows, it may never happen)

All of this happened after having a talk with another artist, receiving feedback and non-sugarcoated critiques, this person wasn't bad at all, he was honest and straight to the point with the intentions of helping me improve and not to harm me in any way, so please, if you're gonna throw trash at somebody, that'll be me. blame me for taking this decision. I asked for truthful critiques, it unveiled my worst fears... I was not as good professionally as I thought I was, makes me realize I wasted almost 6 years of my life developing characters that are worth a bunch of NOTHING...

Long story short, I'll stop drawing my characters for a long time so I can focus on my art studies and I won't be drawing any personal art until I get a grip on my art fundamentals right this time! and I won't be drawing these characters for the following reasons: I don't think they're appealing to the public, they are bad characters, They're poorly developed, , too much Sonic influence killed every single one of them...

I'm sorry, but it has to be this way... ;-;

Finally, I uploaded all my old artworks to both my Deviant Art and Fur Affinity galleries, so I can go back to my regular upload schedule on weekends, that'll be between Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays

Tho, I don't know if I'll be able to work on art as much, I've been dealing with this art burnout for almost a whole month, I'm surprised how I'm still able to draw stuff hahaha, the other reason if I'll be able to upload every week since yesterday/today I've started art classes again so I'll see if I have some sketches left on my art folders to upload each weekend
