...and I'm already feel like my hair's going grey. I think I'm at that point in life when your birthday is just another day in life. Of course, there's always the stress of dealing with certain family members hell-bent on making you want to bludgeon them in their sleep. They know who they are. >:(

So, yeah. Another year older, and I'm still none the wiser. I just hope the next 365 days before my next birthday get better. Then again, we elected a spray-tanned unethical businessman as our president, so who knows what's going to happen.

Yes, it's that time of year again. The day where everyone gets black-out drunk on green-dyed beer to celebrate a Christian saint who brought Christianity to Ireland. If Saint Patrick can see what we're doing to celebrate his name, he'll shake his head in shame and petition God for another world-clearing flood.

To be honest, this day is not a joyous day for me. Two years ago on this day, my grandmother passed away due to pancreatic cancer. I still remember that day; the phone call from my grief-stricken sister, rushing to the hospital, seeing my grandmother laid-up on that hospital bed, and saying my goodbyes before the life faded from her eyes. She was one of my major influences in my life, and losing her still haunts me to this day.

So, instead of drinking just to get drunk, raise a glass to your loved-ones who are no longer with us. Remember the times that they left a lasting impact on your life and know that they love you even after their gone. Here's to you grandma; you'll always be in my heart and the hearts of your family, friends and loved ones.

Today's the day where I start my trip into gray-muzzle land, and the last few days were a prelude to this. The jackasses that own my apartment build are starting to collect back-rent because of one little error on my part, and now I'm stuck with paying back over $750 along with a increased rent. I tried to explain myself to them, but they just want to bleed every dollar I have until I'm broke and homeless.

*sigh* Sorry. I needed to get that off my chest. I know it's my birthday, and I should be excited, but it just feels like another day to me. I'm still the tired, frustrated, depressed fox/coyote hybrid you have come to know, and I don't see that changing anytime in the future. If you need me, I'll probably be browsing the depths of YouTube or focused on beating Dark Souls 2 (I know the third one's out; I just lack a PS4). Peace.

Well, I just got the badge yesterday, and it looks awesome! Too bad I missed going to MFF...and I probably can't afford going to any conventions next year. :( Still, getting the badge is nice, so that's something for me to be proud of.

Yup, I just turned 29 today, but I don't feel any older then I should be. Maybe it's because I still have some immaturity left over from my teen year? Probably; I haven't used all of it up yet.

Now it's another year-long wait until I turn 30 and the grey fur starts to grow in. The very thought of graying fur makes me more stressed out then I'm already am. Erratic work schedules, annoying know-it-all co-workers, and a SUV that is not satisfied until I'm bankrupt are all dancing around my already messed-up brain. I don't need the thought of growing older adding to the mess, dammit! >_<

*deep breath* Anyways, I just hope the next 365 days will be better then the last ones. Here's to a more pleasant year, for me and for my friends & family. *raises and chugs an entire mug of jug-beer* Yes, jug-beer is a thing. My dad got me some a couple months ago, and it's not half-bad. :)

It's been about 4-5 months since my last journal, so here's a quick update of that mysterious thing outside of FA called "life."

-I finally have a job! I'm working as a prep cook at a buffet restaurant. Bright side: I get to eat the food they make during my breaks, and I'm getting along with my co-workers. Not-so-bright side: I have to drive for almost half an hour to Iowa (where the buffet's located) and my tank of an SUV goes though gas like rednecks go though beer (that's a lot if you don't get it.)

-One of my wisdom teeth (yes, I should have got them pulled) decided to be an asshole and started to give me a considerable amount of pain. The worst part of this is that it's the one that's disintegrated to something of a nub. I'm now on antibiotics to control the infection, and I'm hoping that I can get it dealt with before it gets worse. I get cranky when I'm in pain, and nobody likes a cranky foxyote.

With that off my chest, have a very Merry Christmas with your family and friends!

Sorry about the long lack of updates. Right now, my main concern is finding and securing employment. I want to at least find a job at a local restaurant or bakery; I didn't spend two years to get a technical diploma in culinary arts for nothing.

Sorry about that. Seeing all the Valentine's Day journals and submissions briefly woke up the "lonely bastard" part of me. Odd that he only comes up during this time...

2013: you we're an interesting year. Aside from all the tech school drama and that flash flood back in June, it was a pretty good year for me. I'm more social with other people, and my self-confidence is slowly, but surely coming back.

I know it been done by everyone else here, but I have a few resolutions I would like to accomplish in 2014:

*Stop talking about writing and actually do it. It's been half a year since I posted Chapter 1, but Chapter 2 will be posted sometime in January.

*Graduate from my culinary program in May. Wish me luck this semester; I need it. -_-;

*Find a restaurant job after I graduate, and keep it for more then a month. Sounds weird, but a month is the longest I've ever held a job. Staying employed longer then that would be an accomplishment for me.

So, from me and Raptor Jesus, have a happy New Year, and may your hangovers be brief and painless. :)

Normally, I would be saying Happy Holidays, but after a week of hacking and coughing, I'm not in a P.C. mood right now. A bit of good news today:

I can move back into my apartment now! Most of my stuff is already loaded into the trailer, and we're finishing the move tomorrow. Right now, I'm just glad to get away from my little brother as physically possible. After three months of sharing the same basement together, I'm reminded of why I moved out in the first place.

My internet is going to be re-installed next week, so I'll be offline until then. It will finally give me some time to stop sitting on my hands and finish up the next chapter of Private Playlist. I know I've been saying that for a while, but this time I mean it. As Raptor Jesus as my witness, I WILL finish that damn chapter!

My laptop, for some reason, will not boot-up. Because of this, it is now currently being checked out at a friend's PC store. So, with that, and my second year of culinary arts starting up soon, the next chapter of Morgan's Private Playlist is going to be completed later then usual.

It took me a while to figure it out, but I finally set up my Skype account. I'm still figuring out (damn confusing as all hell modern technology), but if you like to add me, please note me.

I know this only applies to everyone in the U.S., but I just wanted to make sure everyone has a awesome time tomorrow. I'll be doing the celebrating in my own way, usually involving beer, food, more beer, swiped parade candy, even more beer, fireworks, and the hangover that comes from said beer.

...Don't judge me. You'll probably do the same thing. Anyway, happy 4th and, be sure not to set off fireworks near your home. Firefighters tend to frown on that.

Why is it that every time I posted something in the last 10 years, all I get from it is some passing glance that gives me nothing in return?

I'm sick and tired of being another faceless part of the crowd that barely gets any recognition for what he/she has done. It's like nobody cares about you unless you know someone or you done something worthy of attention. Is everybody here like that? It makes wonder why I even joined here in the first place.

...I don't even know why I bother writing about this. Nobody cares about this anyway...

On Saturday, June 22nd, a flash flood hit my hometown in Wisconsin. Around 30 families, including myself, had to be evacuated from our homes due to rising flood waters. Thankfully, no one was injured, and rescue crews were able to minimize the damage. The apartment building where I live is now being repaired, but it will take about a week or so before I can move back in.

Fortunately, my parents allowed me to stay with them for the time being. Everything that wasn't damaged in the flood has been moved out, and is now being stored at their house. I can only hope that the other displaced families are safe, and we can continue with our lives until we can go back home.

Wow. This is the first time in years that I've updated my journal. I'm actually surprised that the admins didn't close my page.

Anyway, I've decided to move my previous submissions to the scraps page so I can start anew with some newer one. I'm currently working on a story right now, and the first chapter is about halfway done. So, to all my watchers (all 2-3 of you), please be patient a little while longer. Yep, today is the day where I grow another year older. The day I finally realize that today is just another day for me. *sigh* I guess it happen when you grow older, and find out that these's more to life then birthday cake and gifts...
