due to....well, the world being on fire, and i know everyone's struggling, i'm keeping my commissions open this month in case anyone wants anything for spooky season/the holidays/in general, but couldn't make it in a short opening right at the beginning of the month

September Commissions [OPEN]

it is time for comms to open again! i'm opening for ALL types of regular commissions (icons, sketch pages, flat color, fullcolor, ref sheets) as well as edits/upgrades to old work!
as always, i'm going to try to get everything done within the month, but everything's been a struggle this year (what even IS this year???) so i think what i'm going to do is take about 3-5 commissions at first, and keep ALL the rest of them as a "wait list" of sorts. so i can take more as i finish them, instead of taking a bunch and then struggling.
that means you don't have to pay until/unless your idea is accepted, but it could be accepted at any time during the month.
i'm just gonna pick what i like, and get as much done as i can. so, not first-come-first-served, and i won't get to all of them (probably).
i'm going to leave the forms open here for about two days, before closing them. they're all artist-choice so i'll choose what i want to work on and send out emails/quotes/invoices for the ones that get chosen.
everyone is welcome to submit up to three (3) forms if you have more than one comm idea, but i'm going to try not to take more than one regular commission per person (edits/upgrades vary because they're usually smaller work). you're also welcome to re-submit the same idea(s) from earlier openings if it didn't get picked then. just because i didn't pick it then doesn't mean i didn't like it - i'm just only one bean.
just gonna throw an easy-to-find note in here that this will be the last regular non-wing-it opening for the year (next planned opening is january) so this is the time to get any spooky season arts or holiday arts you may want

i didn't realize it was almost the end of the month already??? i have no idea where time goes. so um, there will be no wing-its open this friday. i know we only had a couple openings this period because i've been a mess, but it's time to open normal comms again o.o i haven't figured out exactly when or how i'm going to do this, but it's time. they'll be open to Moonbeam+ patreon and kofi supporters first, as always. i might take 3-5 at a time and keep a waitlist of sorts for the rest of the month. i dunno. trying to figure out how to pay bills without getting overwhelmed. more details on that when they do open, which will probably be this weekend sometime.
i also wanted to poke here and let you all know that i have a ToyHouse, in case anyone that's gotten adopts/designs from me in the past wants to throw credit, etc. i'm mostly just using it as a character ref hub, so all my OCs are there now, though not their art yet. i don't plan to actively use it for anything else right now

update: no opening this week, extended last batch

i just wanted to post a quick update here so everyone knows - there will no be a wing-it opening this week! normally it would be tomorrow morning, but due to circumstances, i'm going extend the work period of the last opening into next week. if i finish the chosen 5 early, i'll still poke folks from the last batch to see if they're still interested, but the next planned opening will be friday, august 15th.
basically, i BUNCH of stuff all ended up happening last weekend/this week, which have made it impossible for me to finish everything on time x.x just one of those weeks. i hate it, and i'm super sorry, but....it is what it is i guess. i'm going to try to get as much as i can done today before i leave tomorrow, and then i'll be out of town for most of the weekend
so yeah. lots of things happening, so sleep is all messed up. allergies are killing me and eyes burn looking at screens. lots of fun. i'll be working as much as i can and wing-its should open again next week. just wanted to give everyone a heads up about what's going on in case you're wondering why you're not seeing stuff you should be seeing, in the time you should be seeing it....
that's all for now, i gotta get to more things on my ToDo List

it's been a helluva time. i never did all the updates i was going to because i was just trying to catch up/keep up with stuff x.x i'm sorry
i just wanted to let you all know that this friday, august 1st, wing-its are going to open again! i might do a YCH next month too, but we'll see how everything goes. it might just be wing-its
and the plan is to have normal full comms open again at the beginning of september, i'll just have to be really careful with what i'm doing. i'm still working very slow, mental/headspace isn't great
anyway, that's all!

June Update

may's month of non-wing-it comms has ended, so it's time for an update...
i don't even know where to start with last month. i feel like every 3-5 days something new and miserable happened. i listed some of it in my discord server, but it was a rough month. as such, 1) my mental state is absolute trash, which has not helped with 2) the commissions i took (that i was so excited about and thought i'd be able to take more) are not yet finished. i have 3 left, two of which are started, and i'm working where i can, but i'm having such a hard time just existing.
i'll be getting those finished up just as soon as i'm able
and then, with the rest of the month, i have plans for wing-its, an optionally-pride clone YCH, and special color-touch sketches. more info on all that later when i'm ready to get them open, but i wanted to offer some cheaper things that i can do quickly, since i know money is tight for almost everyone right now. so hopefully those will be nice when i get there.
i'm also sorry i haven't gotten any art posted in a while. i think i have like 7 things finished and ready to post? i just....haven't had to energy to get things queued up to PostyBirb.... x.x hopefully i'll do that soon
that's it for now tho. i'll update with more details when i'm ready to get into the new things

No Wing-it opening this week - full comms!

may is coming, and that means normal non-wing-its commissions will be opening!
there will be NO wing-it opening this coming friday, and instead i'll be opening full comms to work on next month! i don't have a set date/time, but they'll be opening for patrons and kofi subscribers, and then a couple days later opening to the public here on FA and on bluesky/discord.
it'll be a google form that'll be open for probably around 48 hours-ish, and i'll be choosing comms to work on for the month of may. i'll also be choosing them based on the income i need for the whole month, so there's no set number of slots, but i think i'm aiming for around 7? we'll see what kinds of ideas i get thrown at me.
and the goal is to get them ALL done within the month of may, so that i can start taking wing-its again right at the beginning on june, so there's a pretty set turnaround for them

just a quick heads up, i'm currently planning on a break from the 16th to the 29th. ish.
it's not really "time off" because i'm going to try to get my last owed commission done, as well as patreon stuff and my taxes, but i'm hoping to get a fair amount of rest and relaxing in too, if i can figure out how to let myself do that.....i'm really bad at it. but i'm just....so exhausted. i've been horribly burnt out since like october, and i really need a break.
i might cut it a little short if i get bored, but that's the plan right now
this coming week will be YCHs. then 2 weeks to try to learn how to be a human again. and then wing-its open again on the 28th
that's all!

it's february, and it's friday, and that means wing-its are open again!
as valentines is next week, we're doing the rare and elusive COUPLES WING-iTS! this is an event i almost never do for wing-its because of how much extra time they take. the prices are per-character so it would be x2 of whichever style you'd like (flat color or simple cel) and Moonbeam+ Subscribers still do get the simple cel discount. sadly i can't do more than 2 character though, because of the time.
you're welcome to get two of your own characters, split it with someone else to get both your OCs (tho i'm only sending 1 invoice), or get a gift for a loved with with both of your characters! i only ask not to intentionally arrange to have your character(s) in more than 1 form. that's cheating.
just put both character refs in the "character reference" space on the form, and you're good to go! but make sure you only submit characters that you know you have permission to use!

February status update

just wanted to post a little status update about work schedule and queue and whatnot
first of all, there will be no YCHs for this month. i would've gotten them posted for patrons already, but i feel it would be irresponsible right now. so we're skipping those this month
i wanted to have finished all of the commissions that i took last month by now, but i realized that i made a mistake. when i took them, i was mathing things out to have work to fill a whole month and.....by the time i actually got them open and then closed and paid, we were a week and a half through the month already...... >.> so i gave myself less than 20 days to do a whole tight month's worth of work >.> oops
SO i still have 4 commissions and a patreon illustration to finish. i feel so bad about it, i'm really trying to be good and fast and stick to a schedule x.x
but i figure tearing myself up about it doesn't help (i'll do it anyway). i can only try my best. i think if i'd had a whole month to do these instead of the <20 days i gave myself, it would've been fine. i'll try better next time
speaking of next time, i do plan to have commissions open in May and September. it'll be pretty much the same deal as this time. however, i'm thinking that during big-comm months, i won't do YCHs, so that i don't accidentally do this same thing again. those months will be JUST normal commissions (and patreon/kofi rewards)
in the meantime, i'll be doing wing-its. so i'll get those open as soon as i can (because i have ZERO income at all until i do, aaahhh), which will HOPEFULLY be this coming friday. hopefully.
i'll also be doing the normal YCHs in wing-it months, except for this month obviously
okay that's like the "to do" part of the status update. now i'll throw in a little "have done" part for the other side of the coin
because it's important to look at everything you've done, not just what you have in front of you
i cleared out my trello earlier this month to start the year fresh and to see the progress i've made, and this year so far, i've done:
- 4 wing-its
- 3 full illustrations
- 4 monochrome sketches
- 3 experimental busts
- 4 edits to older commissions
- 2 full ref sheets
- 2 traditional art tiles
(- and like 1/2 to 3/4 or the 5 other things in my queue)
everything i have left is already started and most are actually nearly finished

round two of commission choices have now been emailed! (the first round being just subscribers)
i tried SO hard not to take too many, so we'll see how the month goes. if i get lucky i might even be able to take a couple more later, but this is where we are right now.
it was an incredibly hard decision and there are a bunch more i wish i could've taken, but i am only one person with a few weeks to do these, so i hope everyone understands.
i'm updating my queue now, so if you don't see an email, check my trello to see if you SHOULD have one. no emails were sent to those who didn't make it in.

i'm opening for ALL type of regular commissions (icons, sketch pages, flat color, fullcolor, ref sheets) as well as edits/upgrades to old work!
i'm going to leave the forms open here for a day or two and there's no set number of slots - i'll just be choosing enough to cover everything i need for the month with expenses and whatnot. they're all artist-choice so i'll choose what i want to work on and send out those emails/quotes/invoices once i close the forms.
everyone is welcome to submit up to three (3) forms if you have more than one comm idea, but i'm not going to take more than one regular commission per person (edits/upgrades vary because they're usually smaller work)
again, there is no set number of slots, i'm just going to try to cover my expected expenses for the month (and maybe a little extra if i can). it might be just a couple bigger comms, or many smaller ones. and they might re-open later in the month if i finish what i initially choose.

into 2025: comms opening January

we're halfway through december now and i've caught myself at a time that isn't the middle of the night, so i wanted to make an announcement about this.
(it's important but it probably won't be very long because i'm exhausted and sleep deprived and burnt out and my brain is mush)
after opening normal non-wing-it commissions last january, i decided i want to do that more. so i'm going to TRY to start opening comms three times a year: january, may, and september.
those months, i'll be opening for normal commission slots instead of wing-its. however, they'll open all at one time at the beginning of the month - or end of the previous month depending on how the weeks lines up - instead of weekly like wing-its are. and then i'll spend the month working on the ones that are accepted
they'll open to my subscribers on patreon and ko-fi first, just like YCHs and adopts do
but they're still artist's choice, so i'm going to be choosing the ones that i really want to work on, rather than doing a first-come-first-served system
i'm also not going to have set number of slots. i'm going to focus on covering expected monthly expenses, so how many i take will vary depending on how big the chosen works are
i do still plan on doing two YCHs each month as well, along with those commissions

we're halfway through december now and i've caught myself at a time that isn't the middle of the night, so i wanted to make an announcement about this.
(it's important but it probably won't be very long because i'm exhausted and sleep deprived and burnt out and my brain is mush)
after opening normal non-wing-it commissions last january, i decided i want to do that more. so i'm going to TRY to start opening comms three times a year: january, may, and september.
those months, i'll be opening for normal commission slots instead of wing-its. however, they'll open all at one time at the beginning of the month - or end of the previous month depending on how the weeks lines up - instead of weekly like wing-its are. and then i'll spend the month working on the ones that are accepted
they'll open to my subscribers on patreon and ko-fi first, just like YCHs and adopts do
but they're still artist's choice, so i'm going to be choosing the ones that i really want to work on, rather than doing a first-come-first-served system
i'm also not going to have set number of slots. i'm going to focus on covering expected monthly expenses, so how many i take will vary depending on how big the chosen works are
i do still plan on doing two YCHs each month as well, along with those commissions

another one of those weeks where there were so many submissions (thank you so much wow) that it was hard to let the choices be final decisions, but...sadly i can't choose them all. we'll see if i have any time to do extras this week
i'll get emails & invoices sent out shortly!
it's friday, and that means wing-its are open again!
this week we're doing the rare and elusive COUPLES WING-iTS! this is an event i almost never do for wing-its because of how much extra time they take. the prices are per-character so it would be x2 of whichever style you'd like (flat color or simple cel) and Moonbeam+ Subscribers still do get the simple cel discount. sadly i can't do more than 2 character though, because of the time.
you're welcome to get two of your own characters, split it with someone else to get both your OCs (tho i'm only sending 1 invoice), or get a gift for a loved with with both of your characters! i only ask not to intentionally arrange to have your character(s) in more than 1 form. that's cheating.
just put both character refs in the "character reference" space on the form, and you're good to go! but make sure you only submit characters that you know you have permission to use!

Weekly Wing-its

• Form opens Fridays and is open for 24-48 hours.
• Wing-its open every week and will be finished within the week, but I do not save form responses. They are all deleted before the next opening.
• One entry per person, per week (if not on cooldown). If more responses are submitted, all of them will be deleted.
• Single-character ONLY. Multiple characters are not allowed.
• Payment within 24 hours of invoice or it will be dropped & given to someone else immediately.
• 14 Day Cooldown after being picked (If picked you cannot submit the next week).
• WING-IT style - No WIPs provided, & generally artist’s choice.
• No edits unless I missed a design/detail on the ref.
• No overly complex characters, no backgrounds, no alt versions.
• If you select Mature/Adult rating for nudity, you must link a NSFW ref showing the bits or describe them for me.
• Not FCFS. Total of 5 will be drawn to start, some random dice rolls and some hand-picked.
• If I finish the initial 5 early, I may take more – keep an eye on your inbox!
• Ordering as a gift is okay as long as you can provide proof of permission to use the character.
