Answer to FAQ about Voretober
Posted 7 years agoConsidering how many notes and comments we've recived about these themes, we'd like to adress some frequent questions and misunderstandings:
1) Is the Voretober challenge only about drawings?
No, it isn't. Any kind of art is accepted!
Traditional/digital paintings, literature (stories, poetry...), music, traditional/digital sculpture, sand-art, photomanipulation, 3D posing are just examples of what you can submit!
Please, remember to ALWAYS use the tags #Voretober #Voretober2018 to allow us to support you!
2) Do you accept submissions using other prompt lists?
Yes, but partially. We encourage and support all artists who're challenging themselves throught our social profiles.
If you decide to follow another prompt list, however, we cannot be sure whether you're still following our challenge or something else entirely. Thus we may share/reblog/retweet your posts but not include them into our official gallery.
You can still join while not following all themes by letting us know about it.
3) I am late and I have lost the beginning of the challenge/I don't think I'm able to keep up with the daily pace. Can I still participate?
Sure, you should!
The challenge is not just about pushing out art fast. It's about using your imagination to deal with unusual themes. Artists are not bound to any kind of daily schedule and may participate at the pace they wish to keep.
Potentially, you could join the Voretober on July of the next year or do only some days!
So, don't understimate yourself, try to join and challenge yourself instead!
4) Are the prompts boring?
No. Prompts do not compensate for lack of imagination. They're not meant to tell you exactly what you must do to be original, nor are they meant to have a single unmistakeable, clear interpretation as some people seem to think.
They're meant to allow everyone to express their full choice of artistic freedom while challenging them to find links to unusual topics or concepts. In just four days artists have created dozens of works taking incredibly original spins on the daily prompts. Thus, before saying there's something objectively wrong with the prompts rather than simply admitting you don't like them personally (which is absolutely alright), just do a check-up on your imagination.

Posted 7 years ago1. The fucking ePrice service didn't answer me. They're the worst italian service I've ever seen, worse that PosteItaliane, known for losing mail and unbearable delaying.
2. The bad luck is following us: some days ago FyreDraygg was working on a 3D model and his Surface overheated and stopped working for a while due to a design flaw of all Surface 4 devices.
Fortunately, he recived better support than me and should be able to use it again really soon, however being a hardware design issue, it's almost certain the problem will arise again and again, making the device half-useless until replaced with a different brand.
3. Considering the bad service received, I ordered a second 3rd party compatible power supply for my Lenovo: it should arrive on October 19.

I still don't have any news from the repair center about the power supply; it was broken when I sent it (it probably had a manufacturing defect), so I bought a second one and it doesn't work.
They're really expensive because they use proprietary connectors (you can't use standard cables, it has its really specific own one with nonstandard voltages and pinouts) and I can't stand the fact the repair center just took the original one without giving it back (broken or fixed)
I hope they'll send it to me on the next days to be able to use it again 🙏🏻
Btw I'll need a little time to redownload all the softwares/materials and get back my confidence with the tablet: over 1 month without exercise wreaked havoc over my skills
I lost all my data and I forgot to upload some drawings on my Drive archive, so I need to redraw some commissions and requests from scratch
It will take a little.

Good and bad news
Posted 7 years agoYesterday the friend who sold me my digitizer tablet contacted me; the repair center sent it back to him.
However the bloody fools forgot something quite important... The power supply -.- . Oh and guess what: it's proprietary.
So, I'm waiting for further updates
As if that wasn't enough, yesterday an accident happened and the PC Fyre lent me was damaged (the keyboard contacts are misfiring and some buttons don't work properly)
We're arranging to fix the damages 😥

I've been on Amino since november 2017 and in this year I had an horrible experience in all communities.
First of all, there isn't a single trace of meritocracy: "famous" people are always on featured list while initiatives, artists offering free sketches and REAL good quality drawings are always overshadowed by all the usual childish, ugly or mediocre shit that's posted.
Secondly, there's no freedom.
Anything that could be remotely correlated to sex is prohibited, ANYTHING. Even if it's just a name of a kink and not directly related.
Someone asked me to delete a post showing a mawshot and a little dragon in the corner who was asking to be eaten in a silly way; no nudity, no genitals, no exicitement, no fluids. Just a F*cking open mouth with saliva.
And yes, maybe that CAN BE RELATED to vore, but it isn't exactly vore. And they called it A SEXUAL FETISH. It could be and not be. Who gets to decide whether it's meant to be sexual or not since there's nothing explicit? Me the artist or some dumb know-nothing child who's been put in charge?
And if my stuff is to be considered SEXUAL CONTENT, then guess what: Kirby games are sexual content, too. Why? Oh me, oh my, there's a pink blob EATING other characters! That's vore!!!
What a bunch of dimwitted losers, behaving like a pitchfork mob screaming against everything the first troublemaker calls a sin. Who's more perverted? Me publishing innocent non-sexual drawings or the idiots seeing sexual meaning in them?
And I'd like to remember that also gore (such as candy gore etc) is considered ADULT/MATURE CONTENT, but who cares? That's ok! Hypocrites everywhere! What's this about a pot calling a kettle black?
And last but not least, I've always been kind and offered free drawings, art, raffles etc. And surprise surprise, everyone came to me sweet-talking and being all friendly, but when I just posted our Voretober list (A DAMN TEXT LIST) they started insulting me, offending my personal value.
I won't accept this anymore, I'm tired and totally disappointed by the whole audience of false innocent children and hypocrites in there. Kink shamers, insolent brats, cretinous dimwits, insufferable edgelords and shrieking attention-whores.
I leave.
I realize this may be seen as a victory by the filthy trolls, but let's put it like this: they deserve nor the chance to bother me, nor my company.
About the raffle prizes: you should have my contacts, please write me on another platform to give me again your references, I won't stay here a single second more.

and I started posting our artworks and taking commissions.
It was difficult for us, having to deal with school, personal problems and many other issues.
We’ve always tried to work as best we could and we must thank you for all the patience and support you gave us; we’re not the most active members of the community, but we’ve read every comment and appreciated every single watch and favorite! <3
We have some projects planned for our near future and some of these, unfortunately, require more than just our efforts and dedication, but also money.
For this reason we’ve decided to open this fundraising pool to share and reach our goals!
I call it “fundraising” because of a specific reason: while donations are surely accepted and cherished, we simply cannot ask for our needs to be fulfilled only through benefiting from everyone’s generosity. That would feel like taking advantage of people to us. On the contrary, we’re very much ready and eager to work hard to reach our goal, thus we will count every cent obtained through commissions towards the goal and credit everyone who does in fact support us in this crazy journey.
If you like what we do and would be willing to help us, please consider commissioning! We’ll really appreciate that!
This pool will be divided in several goal. Each time one of them is reached, all contributors will be gifted with a groups drawing depicting all of them.

Posted 7 years agoMy drawing tablet died completely and it must be repaired.
After an infinite "tennis match" between all the warranty agencies, I finally found who's responsible for fixing it.
I still don't know how much time it will require for it to come back, probably even a month or more. I'll update you on the status in my Twitter profile
Btw... For now I can't continue my digital drawings. I'll try to do something traditionally fighting against the sadness
I'm sorry again 😔

Btw, I'm quite tired in this period and my eyes are burning again. I can't really understand why and I can't use a lot of medicine because of my "allergies".
Considering I'm not sleeping well and I spend a lot of time in front of a pc or phone that could be the cause.
But, I need to do that in order to draw the digital commissions, I mean, I can't use anything else >.<
I also usually keep the brightness low and an environmental light behind the screen to prevent my eyes from tiring.
Do you know any homemade cure to help?

Posted 7 years agoYeah, I think I need to do one now.
Things aren't going as well as I hoped; health issues are more contained, but didn't disappear completely even with the new treatment; exams are taking more and more of my time and continuous travel by train is stressing me a lot.
I'll try to find a window of time to finish the oldest commissions, but I also need to wait for
University asks so much from him...
So, for now I'll take a little breather for a week to pass my last exam (on 26th June), then I'll totally continue with all our commissions.
I'm sorry if we've asked you to wait so much time 😞

What do these exciting news entail?
Well, first and foremost, you will be able to ask for a much wider range of subjects when commissioning, but most importantly you will get not just one, but TWO skilled artists working on your pic! Now, isn’t that just cool?
Synergon commissions will require a barely higher price than normal ones to make up for the extra logistics involved in the making, but rest assured that the final quality is improved so vastly that the difference in price pales in comparison! It’s truly more bang for your buck!
Nevertheless, should you feel more comfortable in requesting a normal, classic, single-artist commission, you may undoubtedly do so by telling the specific artist.
