Double quad! November 10th is my birthday, which I share with  keenyfox and  illogical. It's also  dragoneer and  sciggles' wedding anniversary.

Can't believe it's almost over. Great time this year! Finally got to meet  iggi and  solidasp in the dealers' dungeon. And I can't stress this enough: GO SEE  flashtwolf ANYTIME HE ATTENDS A CON! His comedy skills won't disappoint.

Mt. Sinai Hospital called this afternoon, confirming my vascular surgery appointment for Thursday. This will be my 2nd one; the first surgery took place July 11th. My left leg's been giving me issues since I was discharged from the military.

I'm still going to  furpocalypse, regardless. ^^

Today I finally had vascular surgery at Mt. Sinai Hospital on my left leg: http://i.imgur.com/LmtOHw5.jpg The doctor called again on my way home. They pushed up my follow-up appointment to tomorrow morning. They plan on doing another ultrasound, and checking for possible deep vein thrombosis.

Not a good day for train travelers. Even  kagemushi tweeted about this. As of this hour, at least 5 fatalities confirmed. This was an Acela train en route from DC to NYC. I still plan to take the Amtrak to Anthrocon, but seeing this nearly took my breath away. Hopefully no more casualties to be reported.

Mom came home yesterday by ambulance on a stretcher. She can barely walk, but she seems to be improving. She had a total hip replacement. I installed the portable commode the hospital gave her in case she needs to use it. Earlier today I picked up her prescriptions.

She's nervous about her recovery, and my nerves are frayed about my upcoming vascular appointment Thursday. My left leg's been on fire the past few months.
