...So, I've seen once or twice (don't have any links handy) people doing a sort of 'crowdfunding' thing, where they have rough sketches of picture ideas and people can donate towards specific pictures being done for real. It could be interesting to see how it'd work out, if so...

So... the last commission on my list took quite a while to complete; much longer than I'm comfortable with keeping people waiting for. So far, class has been taking up a surprisingly large amount of my time, and I don't always get a whole lot of time to work on art stuff (even though I probably should, to some degree; maybe I'm just slow/lazy >_> ).
As a result, I'm not sure what to do about commissions right now. Outright close them temporarily until I think I have adequate time to work on them again, or just keep them "open" but leave a warning that they may take a long time (possibly several weeks) to complete? In theory the latter seems like the 'better' option, but I hate making people wait like that, so I'm not sure how to decide...!

In either case, I'm totally fine with hearing/discussing commission ideas (if there are people out there that wish to do so), but I may not be able to actually accept them right away.



Also, thus far I've been uploading the 'normal/small' versions of each commission pic and just giving the larger-resolution ones to the commissioner only; but I'm not sure, would it actually be better to upload the large ones because they'd theoretically look better for other viewers?

I've also been wondering about the image ratings I've been putting on my pictures; I usually put almost everything with super-huge boobs (which is... almost everything? >_> ) as 'Mature', but since all my pics are pretty tame and there's never "anything showing", should I leave them as General instead? And/or leave most things General but just make some of the intentionally-'sexier' pics (like... I dunno, this as an example maybe?) Mature? Opinions on that would be appreciated.

Hey y'all; I've decided to increase the base prices on my commissions:

Cleaned-up drawing: $11 -> $14
Flat colors: $16 -> $19
Shaded colors: $21 -> $24

This is also reflected in my Commissioning Guide and Commission Info tab, and will apply to all new commissions from this point onward (however I'm still offering a little more leeway for and for having expressed interest beforehand, but not for much longer). As before, I'll continue to monitor whether I feel the pricing feels fair and may make further adjustments in the future. Thank you for your patronage!

Just a heads-up; I'm planning to increase my commission prices slightly in the near future (only a couple dollars, but still). Hey there peeps


I've been rather busy recently, and I'm working on gradually catching up with stuff here. Unfortunately, I've been ill for the past week or so, and I'm starting a course on Monday that's running for three weeks, which will take up most of my weekday time at the least, so I'll continue to be at least somewhat busy. Just thought I'd let the public know what's on my plate...

Aside from that, I have quite a number of commissions from others that I have yet to upload, and I aim to not dally TOO much longer on those. There's also a few ideas I have in mind that I'd LIKE to do, when/if I can find the time:

-A pic for  gigicatgirl

-A pic for  stelardactek

-Seasonal wear for my characters? (like spring/summer/fall/winter outfits, although I could probably merge spring+summer together and fall+winter together?) Even figuring out 'default' outfits for Maple and Rina would be nice

-Busty ponies wearing character-appropriate clothing; although in theory I'd like to make them "totally my own ideas", they'll probably end up looking similar to existing interpretations of them... but it still might be nice to have designated outfits for everyone as a 'personal canon'? This would be a pretty big project though, I guess it would have to be spread out over time...

-Almost certainly more I can't remember at the moment



Also, I'm not sure if anyone in particular can help me with this, but it can't hurt to ask:
How would one write a story with hugely-busty characters, and making that sort of a 'focus' of the story if you will, but still keep the story as a whole rather tame (no naughtiness or anything)? I think it'd be really neat to have a story written involving my characters (by someone else, that is; not that I have anyone in particular in mind), or even one about busty ponies, but I have zero ideas for any kind of plot or anything.
Any other tips or suggestions on how to go about character interaction and stuff (for pics) would be appreciated too.

CONTENT

What I am WAY INTO drawing:
-Huge-boobed girls
-Ponies (though I'm not too good with quadruped ponies, so anthro is greatly preferred)
-Cute things
-General tame stuff

I WILL NOT draw:
-Any actual nudity/genitalia (such as nipples, vagina, etc), nor any 'suggestions' of such underneath clothing
-Anything involving actual sexual activity and the like
-The vast majority of fetishes other than hyper boobs, breast expansion, big hips/butts, and the like

-borderline cases:
---Fat: 'a little chubby' is probably okay, 'fffaaattt' is not
---Muscle: I'm not that great at muscular stuff, but if it's within a reasonable degree I can at least give it a shot (but not if it's crazy-huge stuff)
---Macro: probably, as long as there's no destruction involved (don't know if I'm very good at drawing buildings though >_> ) or the size doesn't get really out of hand
---When it comes to boob sizes, I personally prefer not to go beyond 'Xtreme' on this handy-dandy chart by Matsu-sensei (original DA link). It honestly gets rather difficult (for me) to draw past that point! But depending on the idea, I may be willing. (also, feel free to refer to it as size reference if need be!) Same goes for hips/butts; I can only go so far!

Regarding humans:
My ability to draw humans well (at least, human faces) seems a bit inconsistent, so asking me to draw a human character might be a gamble (or it might not be)! If it turns out rather poorly though, I may just cancel the commission and let you keep your money. Additionally, I'm generally adverse to drawing straight-human characters from games/cartoons/etc in busty/'sexy' fashion, so I'll likely decline such characters (not-quite-human characters such as catgirls are usually okay, though).
---I actually seem to be doing pretty decently with humans recently!!

If you're not sure if I'd be willing to draw a thing or not, please just ask me! At worst I'll just tell you "No." (please don't be too upset if I refuse your idea!)


THE PROCESS

If you'd like a commission, please send me a note here on FA containing the following information:
-Type of commission (cleaned-up drawing, flat colors, shaded colors)
-Character references (image refs greatly preferred, please, especially clean ones if possible- unless you have a REALLY good text description and are willing to accept what I interpret from it)
-As much description as necessary for your character(s)/idea/pose/etc; if you have specific poses or something in mind, that can help me out and get a picture done more quickly (as opposed to coming up with an idea myself). However, if you want me to 'just do whatever', I can handle that too; if that's the case, then telling me as much as you can (within reason) about the character('s/s') personality and such will greatly aid me in finding something appropriate. If you would prefer that I do some rough digital pose sketches first to choose from before starting your pic, please let me know (though this will be an additional $3 charge).
-Your Paypal email address

Once I confirm a price and accept your commission, I will make a rough version and send it to you for review/approval (Example 1 Example 2) (if there are any important changes to made, please let me know at this point). PRICES

Here's the pricing guidelines I'm going to start out with; I may make adjustments later on if I feel it's not quite right (prices are in USD) (this info can also be seen in my 'Commission Info' tab):
-Cleaned-up drawing: $18 Sample 1 Sample 2 Sample 3
-Flat colors: $24 Sample 1 Sample 2
-Shaded colors: $30 Sample 1 Sample 2
-Extra characters: an additional ~75% of the above price each (may vary at my own discretion based on complexity or the like) - MAX 3 characters in a single pic

-Rough pose sketches: an additional $2.50 Samples
-Objects and background stuff: varies at my discretion based on complexity and such (I'm not usually terribly good at backgrounds though)
-Prices may also be altered depending on how simple/complex the picture/characters may be
---Busts (that is, only the head/upper body of a character) will be a reduced price, of course Example

My birthday's coming up in about a month, on the 15th of April. I'm quite surprised I've been here for as long as I have - though with not nearly as much art as I'd like to show for it. Something I struggle with a lot, unfortunately. Maybe I'll be able to make something to mark the occasion this time? Who knows. I sure don't expect art from anyone else, but I still appreciate any general birthday well-wishes!

I've come to not anticipate a response when I need help deciding on something, but I guess it never hurts to try anyway. It's a small detail about my Raichu girl, Jazz;

When I've drawn her myself in the past, I purposefully made the hair that comes over her shoulders into a hard lightning shape: (1) (2)
But when I've had her drawn by a couple other artists, they interpreted it as more naturally-shaped hair instead: (1) (2)

While it wasn't my original design, I think the more natural look actually does look very nice, so I'm not sure if I should change it to be more natural, or leave it with the lightning shape. Is there anyone out there that can provide some sort of opinion for me?

I'd wanted to have my third little reference page (will be for Rina the renamon) done by now/a while ago. While I have the larger front and back views drawn out, I'm totally stumped for supplemental poses and outfits. I don't know if there's anyone in particular that's good with this sort of thing, but at the very least I thought I'd just put this little notification here (and if there is anyone willing to lend a hand, I would be appreciative).

General: Content suitable for all ages.
Mature: Containing gore, violence or tasteful/artistic nudity or general mature themes.
Adult: Sexually explicit or imagery otherwise geared towards adult audiences.

So I've marked the vast majority of my images as 'mature' for the sake of all the huge boobage going on. But I also don't do nudity, or all that much that might constitute as 'mature themes' (I think?). Should I turn to General, or stay with Mature? I'm not sure what would be better, or if it even matters to begin with.

You may have noticed that I haven't really done anything in the past century or so. That's because I haven't really done anything in the past century or so. I haven't had much will to buckle down and make the art recently, and there are some things in real life that need to be dealt with anyway. Hopefully I won't be put off for too much longer, because I'd really like to get some stuff done, but... you never know. On the plus side, some time ago I was talking with a friend and discussed some ideas on how my characters can be a bit more fleshed out. Character ref sheets are at the top of my list, and I'll try and incorporate those ideas as best I can :)



In other news, here's... a dream I had a couple weeks ago: Somehow I was in possession of... some sort of gum-like substance. It sort of had the proportions of a playing card, though bigger in every direction and so forth. Apparently, if someone (a girl at least) were to chew it every day (it easily returned to its normal shape and didn't ever shrink or run out or anything), their breasts would grow a wee little bit each day (which, of course, would certainly add up over time). Sadly, I didn't have anyone that could serve as a guinea pig (and probably no one I know presently would be interested in that sort of thing anyway), so I didn't actually get to see it in action. Oh well.

...... I dunno, it seemed kind of odd and interesting so I thought I'd share.

Alright, got a couple things to say I guess.

Firstly, it's been brought to my attention that the Renamon character I designed here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5531668/ is surprisingly cute, so it might be a good idea to try using her more and stuff, and probably give her a name. I don't have a whole lot of name ideas at the moment though; 'Rena-chan' has come to mind, but I'm not sure how I feel about having a japanese honorific in her name while neither she nor I are japanese or anything. If anyone has any suggestions for me (or particularly likes Rena-chan or a variant), please let me know!

Secondly, can anyone tell me what my coloring looks like? I try to take care to choose just the right colors for things, but sometimes other people tell me that things are too dark or whatever, so there's clearly a difference in monitor displays going on. Do my pics as a whole look a bit off, or do they seem fine? They look right to me, but... I don't know. I'm not sure how I would resolve the issue if I am actually the one that's different.

Thirdly, just a quick rundown of what I plan to do next:
-Maple reference sheet
-Jazz reference sheet
-design a fursona character
-maybe something else in between there?
Though knowing me, these may not necessarily happen any time soon due to my overall slowness, but if anyone wants to know then there you go!

Hey ya'll. Just thought I'd leave a thing saying that my birthday's coming up on the 15th of April!

So, those of you that watch me should know that I've drawn a pretty busty Renamon a couple times. Now, I quite like her and I certainly intend to draw her more in the future. I can't help but wonder though, should I try and give her a unique design, or just leave her as-is? I like the way she looks as just a Renamon with huge chest-cushions, but I'm just wondering if I should try and make her my own in some way.

I dunno, does anyone have any thoughts?
