Hey hey,

Recently I graduated with my MFA (Master of Fine Arts) in creative writing! My focus was on fiction, though I also did my fair share of poetry. It feels so good to finally have this degree. I worked so hard, and during my time in this program I wrote an entire novel for my master’s thesis, which is way more than what was necessary. I also won an award to hire an editor, so hopefully I’ll be able to have my manuscript finished soon and sent off potential publishers.

I worked as an English teacher for a year and I was the managing editor of the university’s literary journal, and I’m so thankful for these opportunities, since I’ve learned how to grow as a writer and it all helped me with my professional development.

Thank you all for being so supporting, kind, and loving to all the commissions I’ve posted as well as the stories I’ve written. I might post some of my older published works on here as well.

I also have to thank my roommates  Donryu and  Zexyz for always being there for me. They’ve spent countless hours at cafes with me as they worked and Drew while I wrote.

Merry XXXmas to all!

I hope everyone is having a safe and wonderful holiday season. I just spent an incredible Christmas with the wonderful  Donryu and his amazing boyfriend. They're the greatest friends a roo could ever have.

Now that I'm on winter break I'm planning on writing some more, and I can't believe I graduate in like six months. It feels like I just started grad school just a few months ago.

I'm wishing all of you a happy and safe new year! If you've made any resolutions, then I'm wishing you the best of luck on them, and please don't be too rough on yourselves if they don't work out. I want to be able to write more, and hopefully by being in an MFA program I can actually accomplish that. Between becoming healthier, reading more, and getting a ton of other goals accomplished... it might be tough to do while in grad school, but I'll try my best while also being forgiving of myself, hopefully.

Grad school has been tough, but I've been learning so much from my classes. I'm just glad that I'm finally on winter break. I hope you all have a safe and wonderful holiday season. I still have projects to take care of since I've been published in a few more anthologies. Hopefully they'll be this upcoming year.

Now that I'm in a creative writing MFA program... maybe I'll finish up a novel? I'm making no promises, but I'm hoping I'll have a larger work out there for everyone out there one day!

It’s my birthday again, and this one hits a little differently. I know I’m not old, but I didn’t realize I’d be out of my 20’s so quickly. A part of me feels like I should do a ‘30 things about turning 30’ post, but at the moment I’m not sure what to say. Snow has also ruined any plans for a dirty 30 celebration, so I think I’m just gonna relax for today.

I hope everyone is having a safe and awesome new year and start of a new decade!

It’s been quite a whirlwind of a year. I got my 8th story acceptance, which came with a lot of sweat and tears, fortunately there was no blood loss. *knocks on wood* I also travelled to the south/an Atlantic Ocean touching state for the first time when I went to FWA. I’ve also been taking Japanese at a local community college, which has been so much fun, but also kinda stressful.

I’m hoping to get more stories published this year and hopefully get the first draft of a novel written. I’m also gonna try to move up in the career lattice, but it’s proven to be pretty tough. I’d also like grad school to be on the horizon for future me. This year is gonna be filled with a lot of work and challenges that I’ve set for myself, but it could possibly yield many good, fun, and wonderful things for myself, especially when it comes to self improvement.

I’m wishing the best for all of you, and I hope your 2020 resolutions all work out for the best!

These will be the roaring 20’s all over again!

Hello everyone!

Happy Pocky™ and Pretz™ Day! I love seeing all the chocolate and strawberry covered cookie art today! Speaking of confections and sugar, my story "Sprinkles" will be published in the new upcoming Thurston Howl anthology called "The Furry Cookbook" and I'm super excited! This is my 4th published story and I feel like my journey as a furry author is progressing, and it seemed like just a couple years ago I would never have a story published, but my dreams are coming true and it's inspired me to work harder!

It feels amazing to have two stories out at the same time in the same year. I'm so thankful that I'm getting stories published and it makes me feel like my hard work is paying off. Today is my birthday and I'm so excited. It's been a tough year after dealing with a break up with a guy I was with for almost four years, while also working at a job I really don't enjoy and constantly being rejected after job interviews and other little things happening here and there it's been struggle, but I have my friends and family and I've been published this year so there are nice aspects to the year too. Hopefully today will be fun and full of good things!
