Making a telegram channel
Posted a year agoHey! I am a very silly focks and only just now realized that a lot of people really like Telegram to keep people updated about their art endeavors. So... I've made a channel for just that. Feel free to join and have an ogle at some of the older art pieces while I get through my backlog. Newer art will come shortly there!

Creating a subscribestar!
Posted a year agoHey fo(l)kses, just wanted to give a heads-up that I'm in the process of making a substar page for Aftermath - both for helping expedite the project process, and for giving you guys a more direct view how the project is going. Don't worry, I'm not going to ghost this FA page at all: if anything, it will likely be more active than it has been these last few months (sorry for my silence, I've been sitting around and waiting to see how the FA policy change from last year would play out. More art will come very soon!)
As ever with substar, I'm not sure how long the approval process will take, but fingers crossed it will be rather quick. Content on it will be various pieces of aftermath writing & general worldbuilding from me, as well as early views & WIPs of many art pieces I've been commissioning over the last year or two and haven't uploaded yet (with full permission from the artists, of course :P)
Anyway, keep an eye out! More art to be uploaded very soon.

My account & A sociological analysis of FA policy
Posted 2 years agoHi all! You know the drill. Obligatory policy update complaint. But this one is actually researched!
Obligatory mention that I'm also on inkbunny too in case this account gets nuked: Altair0256
To get the main stuff out of the way, I will NOT be leaving FA unless I'm banned from it. If they ban me from it, they're also banning at least half the fandom too, and thus I'd argue it's really their loss. So, I'm not losing sleep over it. Still, I will at some point be backing up my whole gallery on inkbunny so that even if I am banned, y'all will still be able to see all these very adorable commissions/paintings of mine.
I'll also be checking with the staff at some point in ~several days once things have calmed down if my gallery is compliant. I doubt it will be.
---
Now for my editorial time :] Don't worry, I'll try to keep it dense for a topic as complicated as this!
I think the people arguing whether this rule 'goes too far' or not, or exactly what it does or doesn't apply to are somewhat missing the point. In my opinion, the only censorship and forbidden content should be content actively encouraging violence or abuse. That's not to say that it's everyone's job to consume & like content they find abhorrent - but protecting some people from content they don't like to see by *banning all sharing of it*, is definitely not the way to do it.
I'm honestly a bit confused what motivates them here - surely it's easier & friendlier to just create a blacklisting tool & punish people who don't tag for it, than to leave a pretty large fraction of the site's users in constant fear that some random rule will get them banned for art they uploaded N years ago which followed all the rules at the time. No matter how small that fraction is, why are we creating a system where this fear has to exist at all?
Well, to anyone worried that the very existence of 'cub' or 'cub-like' content may instigate pedos, I would remind people that, regardless of appropriateness (I do NOT condone making these attractions reality), it is very much a sexuality one is born with/develops at a young age. Source: Psychology Today (a science-based low-bias source) (See this article in The Walrus as well) This means that, as much as many of them hate it, their attraction can't simply be ignored and go away on its own. (again see above reference) Although some can simply survive with no outlet at all, I know at least a couple non-offenders born with such an attraction who intentionally consume cub content/similar things as their only safe outlet- and who universally find it keeps them satisfied. By implying that cub content actively causes direct harm, it directly suggests that looking at art alone is enough to persuade otherwise normal people born with something they can't control to suddenly change their moral compass, break the law, and commit society's most abhorrent crime. It's no different to suggesting that violent video games directly cause mass shootings; if committing an actual sexual assault against children was on the table in the first place, hiding pictures of pikachu and chibi characters is NOT going to prevent it, nor is even hiding cartoon pictures of 'childlike' anthro dogs or foxes or wolves.
Has seeing my art made absolutely any of you choose to tie up, molest, and torture a real fox? Has it caused any of you tie up, molest, and torture a human? If the answer is no, then how can you justify banning cub and cublike content for real world safety except that it makes you uncomfortable? If so, how would a personal blacklist not fix that problem just the same? And how long is it going to be before I have to bring up the same sources showing that people don't "choose" to find feral bondage hot and aren't suddenly monsters because they saw art of it? Or bondage at all? Or anything anyone can possibly justify as objectively evil to explain why they find it gross? The satisfaction of those living in a world where they don't have to confront uncomfortable things is ALWAYS greatly outweighed by the silent suffering of the people who didn't conform to what those happy few find "comfortable". Jews, homosexuals, pedophiles, or simply people who like "cute looking cartoon characters", they're treated like criminals for the simple act of being born, growing up as a child some way, because of the vague threat that they might one day BECOME criminals if we don't ostracize and censor them hard enough.
So: Mainstream or not, pervert or not, absolute degenerate or not, you should be worried when any sort of expression is singled out. It doesn't actually improve the world: it makes advertisers & a few vocal ignorant fear-mongerers happy, and actively harms bystanders just trying to make art they enjoy & may even help radicalize the people it's supposed to 'punish' by ostracizing them like this. I stand against child abuse, I stand against animal abuse, and I stand against anything that genuinely campaigns for these in the slightest, but I stand *FOR* allowing artistic expression on this site. I stand for making and consuming art that makes you happy no matter how weird you are (We all are on this site!) and I plead that one day, somehow, this site can see how banning all violent video games to stop mass shootings will only make ruin almost everybody's happiness and make them stop using the site. Don't become tumblr.

PS: If you have any concerns, rebuttals, or questions, do feel free to criticize me in the comments. Unlike FA apparently, I want to have an open dialogue here. If something seems nonsensical, call me out on it so I can have a chance to try and either correct myself or explain my thoughts better. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
At last, some Aftermath updates! :3
Posted 3 years agoHey everyone! I thought I'd give a quick update on the aftermath project- some details and goals. To get this out of the way - there is still no expected release date.
The project will take the form of a multimedia website experience - specifically, a fake "forum" in an alternate universe where a major event caused the public to become fearful of foxes, only finding safety and comfort in their restraint & management.
---
WHAT I HAVE:
- >56 different images commissioned and/or drawn by yours truly, from >21 different very talented artists (many of which still have yet to be posted here, wanting to keep some content a surprise for the release)
- several miscellaneous icons, logos, etc for use in the "forum"
- tens of thousands of words written for the "main story" section of the project
- about 100 fake 'forum posts' written for the "worldbuilding/B-roll" section of the project
- several interactive website pages coded from scratch
- complete outlines written for [PART 1] of the release
WHAT I WANT TO DO:
- commission at least 30 more images (I should have enough funding out-of-pocket to pay for these, but I need skilled artists who are capable of doing a large volume of moderately-detailed bondage fox art!)
- several hundred thousand more words written for the "main story" section of the project (this is currently my main piece of lag, but I believe this should significantly speed up as my art commissioning phase draws to a close)
- several dozen more fake forum posts
- build an underlying forum structure (from scratch) to support the project (if you have experience in website design (html and all that), please contact me! I will pay you well to help make this project real!
- get some proof readers/editors to make sure the pacing/themes of the story really shine! I'd like to get further through the story before asking for this, but keep an eye out for future updates!
---
An affirmation and a request:
Now, to absolutely not get this out of the way - I want to mention that an absolute worst case scenario release date is 2030. All of you can be 100% sure it will be out before that. I've been working hard on this project for the last 3 years, and I'm not going to stop any time soon. I can only hope that I can make something truly worth the wait to all of you watching me. If anyone has any questions or wants to help me out at all (time, effort, or money) let me know - I'll do my best make it worth your while!

More aftermath delays, sorry
Posted 4 years agoHey guys, I'm probably more unhappy to be putting this out here than you are, but there will be more delays to aftermath due to factors out of my control. I would put out an updated release date, but I think it's probably best not to make promises I'm not 100% sure I can keep. It will be soon!
Again, very sorry. Getting this thing out has been a big source of stress for me over the last couple months because I don't like disappointing you guys at all. Every day the thing is delayed is another bit better this thing can be!

good artists to commission?
Posted 4 years agoHey fluffs, I'm getting the last couple rounds of commissions for Aftermath over the next couple weeks, to make sure everything's all properly illustrated for you guys to- well, let's be honest- fap to.
That said, it's surprisingly - or perhaps unsurprisingly given my requirements - hard to find artists to get stuff from. So, I'm putting out an open request for good artists to get comms from!
Requirements:
- Must be available to do commissions now and/or within the next couple of weeks
- able to, and more importantly interested in drawing latex, detailed bondage, semi-NSFW feral foxes, and preferably (but not required) humans.
- price range around $50-200
If anyone knows anyone who fits this bill, please let me know! I wanna make sure aftermath can be the coolest piece of media it can be for all of you!

Delay in aftermath
Posted 4 years agoAftermath will be delayed provisionally until February 1, pending potential further delays depending on how things go. I want to have a finished product from launch and sadly it's not going to come out by january without looking and feeling very rushed. Apologies to all who were looking forward to it earlier.
1000 watchers!!! & AMA
Posted 5 years agoHey everyone, super delayed but I wanted to get my formal announcement out first. Time to get way too sappy!
Thank you guys SO SO MUCH for 1000 watchers! I honestly never really expected myself to reach that many, especially not when I was just starting out here, seeing all these big artists with four-digit watch counts and dreaming of one way getting even close to that. Now that I'm here, it's pretty strange to think that that's me now!
As a bit more of a giving back to everyone, I figured I'd make a bit of an ask-me-anything to celebrate here. Feel free to ask anything you want on any topic at all and I'll do my best to answer. I'd love to chat with fellow fox enthusiasts and get to know all of you~ <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Upcoming milestone & upcoming announcement
Posted 5 years agoHey everyone again!
I suppose I should hold off celebration until the actual thing comes up, but I checked recently and I've been getting very suspiciously close to 1000 watchers. I've been hovering near it for a while, but it's incredible that it's looking like I might finally be reaching it in a few days or weeks. Honestly I've been looking forward to it for a while, just about since I started my account here nearly 5 years ago. Exactly what I would do hasn't been very set in stone considering I imagined it depended largely on what I was doing at the time...
Well, now that I'm almost there, I think I know what I'm going to do. I'm going to make a formal announcement of the project I hinted at earlier this month with the resources I've got for it so far. I'm super excited to finally show it off to you guys after all this time! I'll hold some of the more sappy musings until I actually reach 1000, though. Wouldn't want to get too ahead of myself!

Reason for hiatus - more stuff to come!
Posted 5 years agoI figure I should give everyone here an update on stuff, since I've been pretty quiet for a while. I haven't disappeared from the fandom or moved on or anything, I'm just as active as ever! In fact, I'm a little more active than usual. The reason for my silence is that I've been working on an absolutely massive project, with the working title Aftermath. More info to come, including a release date, eventually- for now it's probably late 2020 or early 2021. The vast majority of my (admittedly fairly small cause of covid!) art resources this year have been poured into making this a thing, and I'm super excited to share this with all of you.
tl;dr: no I haven't poofed. Stay tuned for some awesome stuff to come!

Finally doing commissions~
Posted 6 years agoHey everyone,
at the advice from a certain fox or two I've decided I might as well open commissions for anyone who might be interested. Commissions are gonna be priced roughly as follows, although I won't charge until I've finished just to be sure I can do stuff.
sketch - $10-15
inked - $15-20
colored - $25-30
shaded - $35-50
However, I still want to be doing all of this out of enjoyment and not just purely for the money. So I probably won't get around to everyone who wants a pic, just the most interesting ones that I can realistically do as well. Really sorry in advance if I can't get to everyone! I really appreciate all of you guys and am just happy that you would want art from me in the first place.
Note me or post in the journal with commission ideas!! (also let me know if you might want commissions at some point but can't afford it now, i wanna judge how much interest there is right now) I'll be doing commissions in order of most to least fun-sounding, so don't worry if you're a bit late.

Incoming art dump soon
Posted 6 years agoSoooo... seems I've gotten kinda behind on upload stuff. Guess I should get it all over with soon and just go on a whole upload binge. Just wanted to give a fair warning for that for if you suddenly get a bunch of random bondage foxes in your new submissions list.
anyone wanna do a little YCH collab?
Posted 6 years agoHey, anyone interested in doing the sketching/lines for a little YCH collab? My line quality is terrible, or at least not good enough that I think it's worth putting in a professional piece. If anyone wants to work with me, just lemme know! I'll split the YCH money evenly for sketch+lines, with me doing coloring+shading. I'd prefer experienced artists but pretty much anyone is fine as long as their line quality is good enough!

Commissions are now officially open!
Posted 9 years agoAs of today, I am opening commissions for relatively cheap prices ($10 for line art/sketch, $20 for a colored picture) of quite nearly ANYTHING feral, again in collaboration with a friend of mine: If you have any doubt of her artistry, take a look at the last couple of pictures uploaded to my account.
I understand I am a new artist, so here is my policy - Pay half of the commission price upfront, and the other half once it is completed. If I'm not able to complete it for any reason, I will refund you completely for it.
For more information on commissions, see my commissions page, or leave me a note! Drawn ref sheets are preferred, but not required.
Either way, have a nice week everyone!

(Rant?) The argument against Zoosexuality
Posted 9 years agoAlright, I suppose this isn't the best place to post this, but it's been a problem in the back of my mind for a very long time, and I just wanted to get it out.
Back in the 1940s and for a while afterwards, homosexuality, attraction to your own gender, was viewed as a mental illness. In extreme cases, homosexuals would be locked in insane asylums, viewed as incurable.
It's still officially a "disorder" from a purely evolutional standpoint, but as surely every one of the few who end up reading this journal know, there's no reason to tell someone how to live their life if it's not hurting anyone or anything.
That's where zoosexuality comes in. Homosexuality, bisexuality, etc, etc, has become a much more socially accepted thing now, perhaps even mainstream, due to activism in recent decades.
But, homosexuality and zoosexuality are of course two different things. Humans are capable of giving consent clearly and easily, and animals aren't. As such, we shouldn't be taking advantage of their innocence, right?
Wrong. Humans are animals, too. We wouldn't be having sex without instinct, as some claim it's just instinct that would lead animals to try to copulate. If anyone would like to prove me wrong, feel free to cut off your testicles and tell me if you're still in the mood. And, animals don't just copulate for reproduction. Almost every mammal (and several non-mammals) we have observed closely has demonstrated homosexual behavior, even in species with great sexual dimorphism.
Another main problem that opponents out up, and the most reasonable one to have as an issue in my opinion, is that animals can't give consent like we can: they don't know what they're agreeing to. As such, even if an animal wants to mate, it still constitutes rape in the same category as that of pedophilia. Right?
Wrong. This issue mostly arises out of a comparison of animals to children- to be protected, Carried around, kept safe from this evil world. Animals are animals. Children are children. This difference is important because children cannot give consent in a manner animals can: their brain continues to still be developing, and so their priorities will change as they grow older. Something they would have fully consented to at the age of 12 they might look back on with regret later, perhaps if only because everyone told them how wrong it was, but that's another argument for another day. My point is that animals will remain at the same "maturity" level their entire life (for lack of a better term) meaning that if they make a decision when sexually mature, they won't regret it later, because for animals, sex is not a taboo. It happens, it's part of nature, it's no big deal. Of course if an animal is forcefully overpowered to be mated with, that's not okay and does not include consent at any one point, but that's another story.
Since when did animals' consent matter anyways? Animals are inferior, according to most people, and as such it's okay to kill them and eat them and lock them in cages when found on the loose. Do animals need to give their consent at any step of this? Should they not be able to choose their owners, not the reverse? Perhaps our dislike of zoosexuality is from the unthinkable suggestion that humans have stooped to the same level of animals, able to consider them our equals, and openly commit taboo acts with them. Sure they are not as intelligent as us, but theres no law saying a genius can't have intercourse with a -solely the scientific meaning- idiot. I don't mean to say that less intelligent people are equivalent to animals intellectually, but I mean to say that animals are more intelligent than we like to give them credit for.
And of course, zoosexuality/zoophilia is not the same thing as bestiality. The latter refers to solely the act of a human mating with an animal, while the former is much more. It entails the love of animals, if it be your pet or animals in general. In fact, zoophilia isn't necessarily sexual. If you love your pet dog, pet cat, etc, you are a zoophile yourself.
Zoosexuals, however Will take it a step further. Not in *that* way necessarily, but they treat their pet as an equal, giving them affection and love and tending to their needs as they would tend to their own spouse's. The idea, as stated before, is a scary one to consider, that one may treat these beasts that need to be trained and shown dominance over as their own equal, but does it really hurt anyone? On the contrary, it has been shown that the 'mates' of zoosexuals will often form a much stronger relationship with their owner, as they are being cooperated with, listened to, and sometimes pampered more than their owner themselves. These are not rare, isolated cases. They are the norm.
And yet they are relentlessly persecuted for something they cannot change. I for one am an exclusive zoosexual. I have never been attracted to humans, even remotely, but I love foxes. I've always loved them, and even if I were to try to get counseling for it, I would never really feel like I belonged, as I am sure many other zoos could understand themselves. Sexuality counseling is possible, but not very effective. Most cases of 'curing' zoosexuality are minor interests, along with mostly humans. The few dedicated ones are usually court-mandated, and it can be devastating to know you are kept away from your attractions.
Imagine all of you non-zoos were never allowed near a human female again? Imagine you would be looked down upon by all of your potential employers, hated by the people you were friends with, your own family, simply because you chose to love a being that this still-improving society frowns upon the very concept of loving?
And that is the argument against zoosexuality.
