I'm not leaving the site or anything! First and foremost.

After a year of thinking about it, I've decided to finally change my name and get a fresh start. I used the name Amun for many years many in online gaming and I liked it and enjoyed it. However, it doesn't feel like "Me".
I really want a name for Me, not use the same name as my character, I mean I love Amun, but Amun just isn't Me. I find it kind of scary to change my name, I don't know why i really hate and dislike change it makes me so uncomfortable and makes me worry. After so many years on this site with the same name, I'm terrified of essentially starting over from scratch. But I feel like this is something I have to do. I'd like to change myself so I want to start anew.

I feel like I've never really had much control over my life or get to make many choices. This might be a strange way to do things but it's a start. I'm still in the process of setting up the new page. However, if you want to move over feel free. I post a journal once I've finished the move and post an image with the word "MOVED!" in bold so unless you nuke your inbox you shouldn't miss it! Plz don't nuke your inbox. ;_;

I've been radio silent for too long so here's an update on me and what's going on. Especially for my very patient commissioners.

So here's the thing, I've been getting sick very easily lately. It used to be I'd get a minor cold like once a year and in the last few months, i've been dealing with infections and other ailments. I think i'd benefit greatly from seeing a doctor but no money, insurance, or time for it. Anything I've gotten hasn't been serious and for the most part, i haven't had a fever or anything bad but I find it concerning.

The main distraction is my family. mostly my mother. Whom at this point has become nothing by an oversized child. I do almost all the cooking and cleaning. I do all the shopping and have to drive her everywhere. I take care of all the animals i never ask for money, pay for my own bills which i try to keep to a minimum, I don't even buy myself fast food anymore unless it's mid-afternoon and I haven't eaten yet. If i don't need it i don't buy it anymore.

I have no control at all over when i wake up or go to sleep. So i can't just work throughout the night as much as i would love to. I absolutely love nighttime where i don't have to worry about anyone bothering me or asking me to do something they can do themselves.

Most days i'm just too stressed out to calmly sit and work and when i can find that special zone where i start working away i have to drop what i'm doing every fucking time. It's like turning a car on and off for no reason over and over again. Quick way to get no where.

Now i'm trying, I could pump out work but i'm trying not to skimp on quality. So while i am working, it's just slow. I promise i'm slowly working and trying my best but i'm sorry to say my best doesn't feel that good.

Since i'm currently mostly hugging my bed from the infection i've been playing some games on my tablet and a new one reason came out a sequel, called Terra Battle 2.

It's a tactical FTP game, but the thing about the game i love the most is it's art and music.

The benefits to a friend is that you can take them with you into battle which is great if they're way ahead of you like a power level, but currently most people are pretty much the same level just starting out.

Sorry to say it'll be awhile longer before i can pick commissions back up.

after the hurricane there was the clean up to deal with which didn't take as long. The problem is my health took a hit. even when power came back my body for whatever reason always felt hot even with fans and the AC going on full.
There was one day where i had to take my mom to the ER so she could get her Dialysis but that took all day, The ER was packed well past normal capacity. It was so bad that around lunch i noticed they started putting people in beds from the ER in the hall way just outside the ER cause there just wasn't any room anymore.
now i have an infection which makes it hard for me to sit and focus. I just crawl into bed and try to hold still so i don't feel pain. i'm improving now though.


Really sorry to my commissioners,

house took a small beating, poor trees got ripped. our poor mango tree and lemon trees got ripped in half, mango tree was a nice full tree and now i'm not sure we'll get mangos from it for a long while.

lost power saturday morning, just got power back a few hours ago.


so hope everyone else is all right who had to deal with it.

Since there's the hurricane coming there will be commission delays and all around just busy doing things just to get preped,

the stores have been crazy and so have people.
Went to BJ's wholesale and that place was so packed people were stalking others for their carts cause there just weren't any left. I went to help an older couple so i could get their cart and had two people come to see if they could get it! My cart!
I think i spent more time waiting in line than i did actual shopping. i saw some people try to get into line as soon as they could while they had a partner run around for stuff.

That really drained me.

Why do you bother watching me?


I don't post or draw personal work or characters.
I don't stream.
i don't do trades or give much free art away.
My colors and anatomy are okay but not great.

I don't feel innovative, i don't get to know people very well, i don't communicate well.

It just feels like all my effort is just a grand waste of time.

Firstly, i'd like to Apologize for how absolutely slow i've gotten while working, Most days lately i just feel so mentally drained that i find it really difficult to just sit and work.

My responsibilities around the home just seem to increase and i have almost no control over my life and time anymore. So while i'm trying to work on pumping stuff out It's really slow now.
I spend most of my time taking care of my sickly mother who needs alot of help most days.

Further more, my Full color commissions and my Simple color commissions, their processes are almost identical and i don't like this at all. They feel way too similar while working. So to push these to be more unique in appearance i'm making Full Color into a Painting style, i still need some practice since i'm not used to it but i do enjoy it for it's flow. The price won't change at all. however if you like the old style of Full color that's going to be gone soon. I think i'd also like to think of offering Cell shading, But i don't know if it should be a different style or just some variation. i'd just like to have more Variety in my work.

Not a Wait-list, i think I'll only do a wait-list once a year and otherwise do normal slots. Gonna streamline things a little bit

What sorts of things do i specifically need to improve on?

I know my anatomy can be a bit wonky or stiff.
My backgrounds can be a little bear/empty.
My sketching is slow.
My colors can be almost overly saturated.
My compositions are sometimes boring.
My perspective is almost downright terrible though i try.
My use of lighting can be rather plain.

I normally post silly or pervert oriented journals. But lately i just don't think i can do it anymore.

I try to do it out of fun to distract myself. Like a coping mechanism cause i have no one to talk to or really express myself without filters. So i try not to think about it. However, as more and more time passes it just seems sad to me. Because it's not entirely honest. I act like a goof and a pervert to cope with utterly hating myself and my life cause it's the only way i can seem to laugh.

Too many days lately i just want to break my tablet pen and not draw anymore. I don't feel like i can communicate with people well either. I'm struggling to just go day to day. I keep feeling the urge to just cry for almost no reason. I just want to draw freely and enjoy myself. But i can't. Every sketch, every line is a fucking mission to even get it right. Just sitting down and focusing is a chore. Every day i have to worry about someone else i can never have time to myself for myself. I feel like some animal in a cage.

I really like drawing. But i can't draw for myself. I don't have that luxury. I don't even have the luxury to stop. The bills don't stop. My family doesn't give a fuck. They do things that just end up putting more and more shit in my lap without asking me. My meager bank account is getting smaller and smaller every month as i struggle to keep it in the green.

Life shouldn't feel this hard. I shouldn't go to bed every night wishing i don't wake up, i shouldn't hate waking up every morning just because i didn't just die or fall into some coma.

I spend more time having to take care of my mother, the pets, cooking for everyone, cleaning the house alone. and still find time to work on commissions so i can pay bills. I feel so helpless.

I just don't know what to do anymore. I don't think i'm good enough to do art for any sort of a living, i'm just a shit artist, a shitty unlikable person.

I'm just Trash.

Well it's not officially year of the rooster yet but... it more fun to say happy new year this way!
