Update: Where you can find me + New website!
Posted 10 years agoWhew it's been a while. The last journal I posted was for Denver Comic Con 2014, and here I am getting prepped for DCC 2015.
Just wanted to stop in and let you all know that I'm not dead, I'm just not doing a whole lot of content over here! Here's a list of websites of where you can find me!:
[REDACTED] Who cares, watch some YouTube videos or something
Take care, lovelies~

Denver Comic Con 2014 + Other stuff
Posted 11 years agoWas just at Denver Comic Con this weekend. I wore my Attack on Titan cosplay, and I had loads of fun.
I got to meet and get a picture with Mark Meer, the voice actor for male Commander Shepard from Mass Effect, as a cosplayer that I was really wanted to meet.
Here's some of the photos I took while I was there:
http://andechjumiss.tumblr.com/post.....i-took-of-some
http://andechjumiss.tumblr.com/post.....e-con-i-really
As far as other things good, I'm currently looking to get a job, and I found one that looks very promising that I'll get it, so that's very exciting.
Also been working on music as always. I have my personal projects, as well as a small project I've been working on for a YouTuber.
Been wanting to get more back into art, but with how busy I've been with other things, I just can't find the time. I have such a long list of things I want to draw.

Hi guys.
Posted 11 years agoWhew, haven't posted to FA in ages. How's it going over here?
Re-Scoring some stuff!
Posted 11 years agoHey guys! Been trying my hand at re-scoring movie scenes, just to have a little fun. Below is one that I'm currently working on (may or may not finish it, we'll see). I was wondering if any of you folks had any ideas for scenes that you would like to see me re-score. Whether it be a scene from a movie, tv show, videogame, or even something that had no score to begin with. I just feel like having a bit of fun with it.
Where I've been and where you can find me
Posted 11 years agoHey guys, it's abundantly clear that I'm not so active here on FA anymore (I still check FA everyday, but don't post).
The reason being is that I don't make a whole lot of artwork as it is. But also, I create music. I know I can post music here on FA, but despite probably getting more notice here on FA, I prefer to keep it on Soundcloud. I simply prefer how they handle music more, and it's far more preferable to link the everyday person to a soundcloud link rather than a link to a furry website. That being said, my soundcloud can be found here: https://soundcloud.com/andech
But what about my artwork? Well, I more than likely will continue to post that here on FA as well as on my dA account, but for those of you interested in seeing updates of BOTH my music and artwork, all in one place (with little added fluff, I might add) on my tumblr page here: http://andechjumiss.tumblr.com/
Just about all of the music and art I make I post there, so if you have a tumblr and would like to follow, I welcome you (and highly appreciate it). Thanks guys, and I hope to have some more content soon. Also, I have two furry related arts that I should be done wiith and uploading soon. In fact, one should be uploaded within a day or two, so keep an eye out. See ya around~

What am I up to?
Posted 12 years agoThere's been quite a lot going on with me lately. I figured I would put up a little update (which basically serves as a personal recap for myself).
I suppose the most relevant topics would be music and art. Art has been relatively slow, but I have been working on it. I have one personal project to finish up (I intended to do that this weekend, but things came up), then I'm onto working on some art that I owe. As far as music goes, I have a big project that I may be working on. I can't disclose too many details, but a somewhat famous YouTuber is working on a parody music video, and I was the first responder to work on the music. It's proving somewhat difficult, as it is a genre I am not too familiar with (gliding synths, how do they work?), but I've done a bit of testing today, and I hope to get him a small demo within the next two days, so that will be a lot of work, but I am really excited to see if it all works out.
That sums up the relevant stuff, but there has also been some other stuff occupying my life. School has been going great, expecially now that I am doing online schooling. I have a very flexible schedule that way, and being home is definitely a lot more comfortable environment. I'm maintaining A's in all of my classes, which is something I couldn't say for my previous school (the general consensus for all students, parents, and anyone that's dealt with them is that they are terrible). I only wish I got out of that school sooner. But yeah, schools been great, nothing interesting to say there.
I've also been going through quite a bit of emotional stuff that has been effecting me drastically, but I'm dealing with it, which in this situation is all I can do. I'll spare the details for both your and my sake.
Today I've gained a new interest as well. Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan) has consumed basically all of my evening. I decided to watch it because my best friend LOVES it, and I've noticed other people I know of praising it. This is the first anime I have ever watched, and while the subtitles are something I had to get used to, I am enjoying it immensely. I watched 14 episodes back to back this evening, and I intend to watch maybe two more before I go to sleep tonight. It really is an emotional roller coaster.
tl;dr
I'm not dead. I'm working on drawings and music. School's great. Emotions suck. Shingeki no Kyojin has consumed me.

Too much stress...
Posted 12 years agoI've had quite a lot of stress building on my lately, so I thought I would write down why here. Though I am hardly active on here anyway, I still want to explain why I am going to be even more sparse on content for the next couple of weeks.
The stress all started Wednesday. It was my birthday, and though it was very enjoyable, it still comes with its own kind of stress. Then on Friday, I had orientation for my online schooling, as well as began my participation in a 48 hour film contest. Saturday, I got a break from the contest and went to RMFC for the day. On Sunday, I spent much of that day focused working on music for the short film. While these probably seem like fairly okay things, none of them went all that well. Orientation was mostly a waste of time. It was from 9 am to 3 pm, but I felt everything could have been done before lunch. RMFC was nice to go to, but I wasn't too interested in most of the panels, there was next to nothing that caught my fancy in the dealers den, and I missed all opportunities to meet furs that I wanted to. As far as the film contest, it was highly disorganised, my tracks got scrapped twice (and I wasn't too proud of the tracks that DID make it into the film), and we missed the turn-in deadline.
There was all of that, including VERY little sleep due to such a busy schedule.
On Wednesday, I actually started my classes. Later that night, I had a conversation with someone concerning something that made me sickeningly nervous.
And then one last thing just took the cake on my bad luck. My dog broke her leg. Whilst carrying her into my room, she squirmed her way out of my arms and broke her leg upon hitting the ground. We had to make an emergency visit to the vet. They kept her overnight and put a cast on her. Overall (so far), we had to spend $500 for it all. They recommended surgery, but we can't really afford the cast as it is. However, when we picked her up today, it was revealed that when putting the cast one, the bones aligned up very well, and she is expected to fully heal in 7-8 weeks. However, this does mean I have to play babysitter for those two months. I have to keep a constant eye on her, make sure she goes to the bathroom, keep her fed, make sure she gets her meds on time, and get her in for her weekly check-ups.
So, this is whats going on with me. I just need a break. There is art that I owe someone who has already been waiting long enough for it, but I simply can't do it right now. I really have been on edge for the passed week and a half. I just need to take a week or two to relax.

What a weekend - The Denver 48 and RMFC
Posted 12 years agoI had a very busy weekend. I participated in an event called the Denver 48. It's a film contest to make a short film in 48 hours. My step-uncle has been in the film business for a while now, so he and two other film making buddies put together all of their resources to make a super crew. I was in charge of composing the score. Friday was simply pre-production. This included all of the writing. I was supposed to start putting together an intro theme, but will how little of a picture I had, it went nowhere, and was ultimately scrapped. Saturday, I wasn't really required, as that is when all the filming was taking place, so I took this opportunity to got to RMFC!
While I am glad I went to the con this year, it seemed that as far as panels went, it was very lackluster compared to the last two years I went, but that was probably just me. Nonetheless, I had a lot of fun. I got to hang out with
jku, whom I met last year at the con, as well as his friend,
Hiccupby, whom he introduced me to. Unfortunately, there were many furs I wished to meet that I missed the opportunity, but that is mostly my fault.
I got home from the con, but had to wake up early on Sunday for the post-production process of the film. Since the intro sequence was still incomplete, I figure I would start first on the credit music. I apent several hours making a track that I liked, as well as the two producers and director. With that out of the way, I started work on an opening theme with help of someone there that just so happened to be good with music. After putting together a track that fit the length of the intro, one of the producers took a listen to it, and said he would prefer this track for the credits instead. That was fine, but that meant we had to extend it to fit the credits, AND make a new intro. In the end, me and my assistant composer put together a fairly half-assed intro (the producers gave us no direction for what to make for it), we extended the new credit song, though fairly "meh" as well, since we weren't able to embelish it due to running behind schedule enough as it was.
There was no music during the film itself. This was because the editting was horribly behind schedule, there was a lack of communication, and the producers and directors thought the silence was effective anyway, simply due to the concept of the film. I honestly felt pretty useless throughout the entirety of the process. There was hardly any music to be put in the film, and the music that was put in was VEERY boring and half-assed. There was almost a point where the music that was made wouldn't be in the film AT ALL, because they were cutting it too close between editting and the deadline. After the deadline had long passed, I got a call that there was a second deadline, allowing for the music to be implemented.
I haven't seen the final product, so I don't know if it's any good or not, but due to all the issues that arose, I highly doubt that our film will be anywhere close to winning the contest. I know in the very least it won't be winning any music awards...
So basically, my weekend was good, but not great. I got very little sleep throughout the entirety, and I am now sick. While there are many things I need to get done, I am going to have to push them back a bit until I am better.
*EDIT* I found out that turning the film in for the second deadline means that the film does get viewed in front of an audience, but it isn't judged.

At RMFC!
Posted 12 years agoIf you're here, feel free to say hi.
I'm wearing a stripey beanie hat thick-framed glasses, and of course a badge marked as, "Andech".

Happy Birthday
Posted 12 years agoRMFC may be a no-go for me this year...
Posted 12 years agoUnfortunately, I might have to pass up going to the Rocky Mountain Fur Con this year. During the same weekend of the con, August 2-4, I'll be participating in a film contest called the Denver 48, in which we have just 48 hours to make a short film. I am the one in charge of scoring the film. So right when the competition starts and we get our genre and other topics, I go straight to putting together the theme song.
I won't dismiss the possibility of going to RMFC altogether though, as I might not have to work on the score during Saturday the 3rd, so I might be able to attend the con then.
However, I won't be able to know more on that until I get more info as the film competition approaches. Honestly, while I would hate to miss this year's con, I can't really pass up an opportunity like this. So, no promises, but I'll try.

April Fools
Posted 12 years agoIt's great because some people can get very clever and you can have a good laugh.
It sucks because when someone is actually serious about a problem, you don't know whether to sympathise or brush it off as a joke.

Expensive Things
Posted 12 years agoI like expensive things. But who doesn't?
Well, lately I have discovered the beauty of a thing called Kontakt.
Kontakt happens to be a very amazing music thing that I really really want.
So... anyone got a spare $400 on them?

Generic New Years Post, with not so Generic Resolutions.
Posted 12 years agoIt's been a while since I've thrown down a bit of an update here, so have at it!:
Nothing really has been happening, at least up until Christmas.
Christmas was VERY generous to me this year. I basically got everything I wanted (except for a new chair)
This includes:
Useful things
-A MIDI Controller
-A pop filter for my microphone
-A USB Hub (I've been running out of inputs! Also, it's a TARDIS)
and not-as-useful-but-still-very-awesome
-A necklace of an emblem from my favourite band
-Two new t-shirts and a new jacket
-Toy ponies. Not kidding. My mother got me them. I didn't even ask. Not sure how I feel about it xD
-A bag, with the same emblem from the same favourite band.
And I got several new games on steam, and a new VST for my composing program, as gifts to myself.
Overall, an amazing Christmas.
As for New Years, not so exciting, but still probably the best yet. Just relaxed and talked to a friend.
And then my resolutions. Aye, I too have some, and I will bore you with them. However, there aren't many, but they are still not simple:
-Get fit. I may not be fat, but I am by no means fit. So I really want to do something about that. Though, I am very lazy. Bringing me to my second point.
-Stop being lazy. I am horrifically guilty of this. It's to the point where I'm not even doing the things I WANT to do.
-YouTube. I have been thinking about becoming active on there. Not in the sense of watching videos (I already do enough of that), but actually creating my own content. This idea is still in limbo. I want to make videogame commentaries. I have ideas on what to do, but this is something that depends both on if I have the time to do it, and if I can simply figure it all out. It's a fairly big project if you are trying to put out the best quality you can. There is also an alternative/addition to this:
-Livestreaming. I love the prospect of just simply hanging out with a large group of people, and (putting it bluntly) being the center of attention. Which is odd because I usually don't like being the center of attention, but in the past year, my social anxiety (at least what was left of it) has been pretty much blown to smitheroons. And watching the Yogscast stream all month really made me realise how much I love livestreams.
-Release an album. With my new music equipment, I can actually set this goal. I have made some music, but nothing I have ever finished. And I want to do that. I want to put together a complete album by the end of the year. I was thinking maybe set the goal of making one music track a month, and have a total of 12 tracks, but since it's already such a big task, I may settle for 10, or even only 8. It depends on how things go. I don't expect to be a powerhouse at the start, because I am still farily inexperienced with producing full tracks, but this is a year for me to learn.
That's about it really. Hopefully life allows me to complete these goals.
Random side note, I just fixed the latency problems I had been having with my MIDI controller and my program. You have no idea how much this pleases me.

Hello everybody!
Posted 13 years agoI never have anything to say for journals, but I don't like just staying silent for long periods of time either, so I just thought I would drop in and say hi again.
Can't really say I've been up to much.
However, I figure I may as well make use of this journal to help spread awareness of a good cause!
So, some of you may have heard of the Yogscast before. If not, they are a group of people on YouTube that make amazing videogame commentaries. In fact, their main channel is the most popular channel in the UK, having nearly 3 million subscribers and over 1.5 billion views. As for the good cause, every year, the Yogscast hold many livestreams throughout the month of December to raise money for a certain charity. You can read up about the cause and donate to it here: http://www.justgiving.com/yogscast
Also, to watch the livestreams they are holding, you can visit here: http://www.twitch.tv/yogscast
Streams are held every day at 6 pm GMT (10 am Pacific, 11 pm Eastern), and are on for 6 hours.
Anyway, at least check it out, and Merry Christmas!

Relationships
Posted 13 years ago(Just something I felt like getting out of my system. Read on, or just ignore)
I never really thought I would bother talking about this.
I haven't ever been one for relationships. This is mostly because I am only in highschool, and every commited highschool relationship I have ever seen has crumbled, leaving both people unhappy. I hate to bring statistics into it, but it is more likely than not that a highschool relationship will fail.
This is one reason why I have not bothered with a relationship.
The second reason of why I haven't had a relationship is what really bothers me. Every person I have ever had an attraction to is either taken, in a different location, much older, or simply uninterested, or in most cases, a combination of those. I'm not one of those people who simply wishes to take second best. If I am to have a relationship, I want it to mean something, not be "well, I was after them, but you'll do."
It just sort of pains me that those I do love are not options.
If you have read this far, sorry for bothering you with my love troubles, but thank you for allowing me to vent. I always liked to think that the internet should be a place free of people complaining about relationships, however, I am just a hypocrit now.

WOW.
Posted 13 years agoSo, on Friday, I went to see my favourite band, Nightwish for the first time ever.
My father just came in to my room. He told me he just bought tickets to see them again a week from today in Arizona.
THESE FEELS AJADOLGLJADFLJHAFDLADFHJAdfgrahadf
I really love my dad. I feel that just has to be said out in public.
