Hey,got some questions about Perler Bead stuff
Posted 9 years agoOK, so lately I've been reading up on how to do Perler bead artwork, which kinda excites me. I am decent with my hands, and it seems like something I wanna give a shot at, I love making pixel art on minecraft, and got a hang of even making 8-bit furry characters on there. I was contenplating actually making art of peoples fursonas at first with the beads before selling them.
I had a few questions about it, so I asked a few friends who actually make artwork from them. Right now, they are being blasted by someone else who makes them, saying they stole their original idea, but the art isn't truely theirs, they originally did a design from Nintendo, then claiming as their own. I dunno, I don't think that's fair. It's not truely their art, if they got the design from Nintendo, no?
I want to know your feelings on it guys, is it right for him to bitch about someone else using a similar design to his perler bead art, saying they stole their idea and art, or is he in the wrong?
Plus, if anyone else out there does Perler bead art, I'd like a few little tips, if you'd care to share it.

I decided to go to Toys R us, cause well.. I was looking to get a new lego set or something, I go into the video game corner, and See 50% off here and Bogo there.
First I find Callie and Marie Amiibo's. (splatoon for those who don't know) and I just had to have them.
Second, on all skylanders, single packs buy 1 get 2 free. At first I though... did they word that wrong? then I read the finer print, and though dang.. it probly doesn't include the vehicles.
So we ask the cashier, and he's like, Yeah anything thats single pack is buy 1 and get 2 for free. The double and triple packs are 50% off.
Mind blown... so I start looking and picking. Which was difficult cause I like having sets, and having the vehicle and not the character is like.. ocd.... *twitch twitch*
But I managed to get 2 full sets, driver and car, then grabbed a legendary character and a vehicle for someone I am sure I can find the driver simple enough.
Ended up saving $69.96 and yes, snicker snicker, thats awesome. No lie.
Plus I just wanted to say hi to everyone as well, and soon pictures will start appearing again in the gallery, I am just waiting for them to be finished.

Canada's Wonderland Halloween Haunt review
Posted 10 years agoYeah, I've been asked for a few years to go to Toronto and see the Halloween Haunt, and this year, I said why not? Gotta try it once, right? I went, and I will tell you about my experience, without letting out too much information in case you wish to go, so not to 'ruin' much of the mood.
At 7pm, they let you into the area's where the 'Haunted mazes' are a grand total of 10, with employees dressed in the theme's they are.
Spirit Manor: a haunted manor basicly, walk through the halls of a haunted house, it was really done well with the atmosphere, the lightning was a nice touch too.
CornStalkers: Basicly a haunted corn maze, you sometimes could tell where someone would pop out, and sometimes not, oh and to note, this is the only outside maze, the rest are all inside buildings.
Terror of London: Think the mean streets of the 1920's ish london, the time of jack the ripper, which was the theme they were going for, or so it seemed to me. It was well done, and the 'faux' british accents, kinda worked and kinda didn't for me.
Streets of the Undead: Basicly for me, it was resident evil in a nutshell... mainly 2 or 3, the games mind you, the same feeling.
Club Blood: A Vampire night club... not the sparkly type of vampires either, it was very entertaining.
Sci-fi House: This I loved, I'm a fan of the whole 50-60's sci fi movies, and this captured the whole feel of the black and white movies, it was more funny for me than scary, but thats my feeling,
The Asylum: Yep, horror asylum, not as fun as Arkham Asylum, hehe, but it was done well, very creepy feeling, they were enjoying themselves, you could tell.
The Ruins: It's like a Cave from an explorer, lot so spiders and dead adventures all over, it was creepy.. I dislike spiders, I was kinda nervous in this one.
Louisiana Scream: It's basicly a Bayou, what you'd think of when you think Voodoo meets rednecks, it was pretty interesting and it was appealing to look at.
I wasn't scared, minus the ruins, but it was more uncomfortable than fear. I did enjoy it, but doing it once for me, is good, doing it again, I don't know... I don't see the point, but I wouldn't do it again, not for a few years at least if anything. But I did enjoy it, don't get me wrong.

First look at... Skylanders Trap Team
Posted 11 years agoOk, So after I picked it up this morning at 10am, thank you Ebgames for opening early. I finally got Skylanders trap team. ^.^ Gotta love opening up a new game in it's box, looking at the new portal pad, which is a great improvement since the first one. If you wish to see what it looks like, look it up. Oh yeah, if you gotten the new skylanders or if you have more than 1 portal pad, go to an ebgames and trade it in for a special limited Pop Fizz character. ^.^ Yeah I got one.
So, playing only the first 2 levels, and 10 waves of the arena, I have learned some interesting things and seen how the game is played. So if you liked the first game with the fairy who upgrades your skylanders, she is back, and so are the mini fairies to bring down the cost. A lot of the NPC's from the first game are back, which is nice to see, cept Flynn, he's always there, and still voiced by Patrick Warburton. I love it.
As for the game play, it has the original feel, with the upgrades, like the ability to jump which was a nice improvement. Also has the same feature using the old skylanders with their levels back and ready to go. All the skylanders have new openings, saying the same opening sentence. Gameplay is fun, as always, easily can get overpowered by mobs, but nothing if you are leveled properly. Now when you rank up your portal master level, you get gifts, which are money, exp, even items. I do love the new skylander trap masters, they are amazing to use, I can hardly wait for more to come out so I can get them. I like that you have enemies you can catch now too and swap out to use them. So you can like run 2 characters and swap out in a second.
There are disadvantages as well, like so far, you need trap masters of the elements to go through elemental doors, which I think is kinda cheap. In swap force, if you wanted to go through a 2 elemental door, you can play 2 players to go through it. The other gripe is the trap enemies.. or more so the traps you need to use to catch them. Two things more or less, one, you need a trap of the element to put the monster inside of it once you defeated him, and two, you need have the trap element to catch them, and at $7.99 per trap... that's costly, though getting 3 of them is $16.99 so.. it's much better to buy 3 in a pack. That being said, if you dont catch one in a trap, you can do it later in the main town, so, no worries if, Oh shoot I dont have a trap to catch them... you can do it later.
So far, I am loving the game,and it's a lot of fun, I defently recommend picking it up if you love RPG's and multiple characters to play as, or even if you loved the original games, it's a nice addition. ^.^

Disney Infinity... is it all it's cracked up to be?
Posted 11 years agoWell, I picked up Disney Infinity 2.0 yesterday night and waited till today to give it a go. I was really excited to trying it, I mean I love skylanders, but the non-online was really starting to upset me, we really should have been able to play online with our friends instead of 2 player co-op in person, not saying it wasn't fun to beat both Spyro's adventure, and Swap Force with my friends, but online would have made it even better.
So, I open it up, and I even bought some extra figures, I got Rocket Raccoon (suprise suprise) and Anna from Frozen, yes, I like Frozen, no I wont go gaga due to the songs, it's just a really done movie, shush. I got her cause it is backwards capable.
Finally I put the disk in to play, I figure it's like skylanders, you know, turn on and such, I was wrong. Frist you need a disney account to play, then once logged in, you have to put the avenger's tower down to play, which ok, I understand, so I wanted to play as Rocket.. NOPE, cant... yet. I had to find 10 coins with his picture on it to play as him. >.< So, I check to see if I could play as Anna, NOPE again.. this time, she can't be used at all.
They all can be used in the toybox.. but I wanna play the game as it, why do I need to find coins to play as one of the heroes? It's bull. Skylanders put it in, and play as anyone from any of the games, I mean if they were on the originals, you can use series 2,3 and now 4. I pre-ordered Skylanders Trap team, and I heard, read and seen it 'Should' be online play, I am so psyched for it.
So.. in retrospect, Disney Infinity, is it worth getting, meh... it is if you like Marvel. I mean the toybox can be fun, you can set it up to spawn monsters for yourself to level up. But, I'll stick to skylanders with less restrictions. You wanna play as a skylander? Go for it, the newer the game, the less restrictions you have.
Oh if you guys wanna hear my thoughs on the new Skylanders game and Borderlands the Pre Sequel, let me know. ^.^

Posted 11 years agoI was packing up some of my stuff cause I'm going to be moving to Ottawa, when, well... thats still a bit up in the air, but I am moving. Yes, some people have tried to talk me out of it, and honestly, it only makes me wanna move more, basicly to prove them wrong.
It's really my decision, and no one should try to talk me out of it. Be supportive. I mean, granted... I can understand my mom's reasons behind not wanting me to go, cause I'll be like 9-10 hours away from her, and hehe, she can't call me up and be like, hey come here and help out. Muhahaha. But, I do plan to visit, I won't be one of those people who dispears and never shows back up..

Curiousity...
Posted 11 years agoSo.. I ordered some art recently, nothing wrong with it. I love ordering art, I have a special place in my heart for Traditional art. I love it, I frame it, and I put it up on my wall, and if it's 'adult' I tend to 'sticknote' the bits so no youngin's can see it. Nothing wrong with it, and it's my room, so, rawr right?
Well.. I just got a peice I ordered at FE in the mail today, all finished. I was so excited, I love having the original with me, now I have to find one of those, big picture frame, the one where it has like the cardboard back plastic front and all four sides of the frame come appart, so you can fit almost all pictures in them. If someone knows what I am talking about, let me know where I can get one, please.
Second.. my mother.. I swear, she knows what the word vulgar means, but she insists my pictures that I order, are vulgar... or at least the few I have in picture frames. Is she right? or is she over reacting?
I feel she is over-reacting, and it's my place, she doesn't need to walk into my place, but I want to know, do you have the same issues with your parents? do they call them vulgar, or are they art?
I recently just asked her if Michelangelo's "David" vulgar or art? It's considered one of the more famous art peices of it's time, and I agree. Her response was... well... less of that, she classifies that as vulgar as well. She's almost pulling a Marge Simpson on me, you know the episode where she detests Itchy and Scratchy, and yet she is all for the kids seeing Michelangelo's "David" so...
Well.. I just got a peice I ordered at FE in the mail today, all finished. I was so excited, I love having the original with me, now I have to find one of those, big picture frame, the one where it has like the cardboard back plastic front and all four sides of the frame come appart, so you can fit almost all pictures in them. If someone knows what I am talking about, let me know where I can get one, please.
Second.. my mother.. I swear, she knows what the word vulgar means, but she insists my pictures that I order, are vulgar... or at least the few I have in picture frames. Is she right? or is she over reacting?
I feel she is over-reacting, and it's my place, she doesn't need to walk into my place, but I want to know, do you have the same issues with your parents? do they call them vulgar, or are they art?

ONE year ago...
Posted 12 years agoI was faced with my mortality. It was one year, at this time, exactly at 2:16pm, that I was prepped and rushed into the operating room at the hospital. It's kind of had my mind going all a flutter thinking about it, maybe it's the reason I didn't sleep well last night.
It's kind of scary to know that I may have my life spark shunned out and poof, wouldn't be here. I do know there are some people, who wish that would have happened, and to them... *flips the bird* yep, seriously? Yep, thats what I feel about their opinions.
Yes, as of late, I'd been a little depressed, for some personal reasons which I will not bring here, cause it's none of anyones business cept my own. But I'll manage, I always do, and well, I'll be myself again, may be a bit, but I'll be myself. I do appreciate the help everyone gives me, even if it's just an ear to listen and a shoulder to lean on.

Posted 12 years agoYeah, I got back into playing it on my gamecube, hehe, funny how mad some of the residents get when you haven't played in almost 10 years. Wow.. hehe, i got it brand new back in 2002. Still, I got back into it, and well, after one friend kept begging me and pushing me to get it, I decided to just go with it.
Well, after getting it, and trying it for a few days to get into it, getting the feel, I contact my one friend, told her I got it, and got chewed the fuck out. Seriously? I get the freaking game cause you asked me to for months... and you tell me, Oh, well your not mature enough to play with me on mine. Are you freaking kidding me? Well, this 'immature' person will just cut ties, you go be your 'Mature' *Slutty* self and cheat on your boyfriend when he isn't around.
Side note, I do enjoy the game, it's got some of the new stuff and aspects to it, but I like the fact we can run around at the same time. ^.^ freaking awesome. I'm trying hard not to 'time travel' but being a whovian, it's really hard not to. Hehe, they should add a tardis for us.

Not an April fools joke
Posted 12 years agoSeriously, too many of those, meh. But on a side note, it's truely (not kidding) My cat's birthday, yep yep, she's 11 years old today, she's still spry as a fricken kitten and her fur is just as soft.
Hehe, and for those who don't know, her name is Mia, and yes it's short for something, Missing In Action.. cause whenever I want her or need her, she's no where to be found, and when I don't want her, she freaking pops out of no where and bugs the hell out of me. >.< Damned cat.

Another Life update
Posted 12 years agoLittle updates, I know some of you worry/ask etc.
Alright, little background on this, over 16 years ago, my mom had surgery to remove a tumor off her Liver, and they had to do some lazer surgery to her gulbladder (yeah i didnt spell it right), and the light went out, the doctor decided to continue, which he ended up nicking her bioduct over 20 times. Nicking it once or twice is normal, but over 20 is excessive. This caused my mom to go into Liver failure, nearly losing her life. Since then, I've been helping her as often as I can whenever I can, since my dad is busy with work, and my sister's... well, the older one is well too greedy and only begs for money, as for the younger one she is too self involved and only thinks of herself. Anyways... so this causes her to have spazms, and the likes, she's been trying to deal with it, as best she can, but she has her spazms often, and eventually she'll need another surgery to repair her bioduct, but it's very risky once again.
That being said, whenever she gets weak or holds her inscision area, we panic. Yesterday afternoon, she hit the kitchen floor hard, afterwhich I rushed upstairs, her face was pale... and she was holding her spot hard. I rushed off as fast as I could, and brought her into emergency. After a few... well more than a few, they gave her some meds, in an IV, to try and make her feel better, which it did, I'm so glad. It seems she'll be going to have to go back to london again to have another surgery, but they really are pushing it to the latest they can. ONLY cause she could die from this if they try. It's really complicated.
As for today, my sister's (younger) best friend just had her child, thats good news. ^.^ 7 Pounds 7 inches. Big baby ish, but its good, she's been in labour for a few days, but she wasn't diolating. Well, some good news out of all of this.
Thank you everyone for your support, my mom is doing better today, she has her good days and bad days, and yesterday was a really bad day. Anyways, have a great day. Love you all.

Yay I got a tablet!
Posted 12 years agoYeah, it's not a bamboo tablet, not an artistic one, I have one of those already. This was a nice, small cheap tablet that I can bring with me to cons, if I need to show someone my ref sheet, I can just show it on that now. ^.^
But, after testing it, and playing some games (Yes, I have angry birds and angry birds star wars), downloaded a nice media player and a video player... I then got my paws on a 32 gig Micro stick so I can make my tablet carry more on it, basicly my TV series I have on my laptop. I can now watch them on the tablet.
Question I wish to ask you guys, what's some good games, and APP's that I should get for it? I'd like to hear some suggestions and such. To see if I'd like to have them or not.

Posted 12 years agoOk, as of late, I've been taking a long look over my life, the good and the bad, what makes me happy and what makes others happy.
I am the type to push my happiness way for the sake of others to make them happy. Always doing things I don't agree with and don't wish to do, to make them feel like they are walking on air. I'm the classic 'Wearing their heart on their sleeve' type, and honestly, it's starting to get to me.
I know this might slightly, if not really piss off people, and might make others happy to see that I am going to be doing things for me, making myself happy. But this is something I have to do, if I keep trying to make others happy and keep pushing my own happiness down, I'll snap or worse... and I don't want that to happen.
Am I really wrong for wanting my own happiness? Am I wrong that I shouldn't be me, and keep making others happy? Are some people selfish only wanting their own happiness even if it makes others miserable?
Thos questions have been bugging me for a while now, and it's time I do what I want to do. What does Flonne want? Well, frankly, Flonne wants to be happy, an I may need to make some changes in my life, and I hope for the best. True friends will support anyone if they are doing it for themselves. False friends will be selfish and try to discourage me. It happens all the time, and it's life.

Another Life update..
Posted 13 years agoYay, I don't take the meds for pain anymore, cause it doesn't hurt all the time, rarely actually, and I am not even bleeding anymore from the open wound. That's freaking awesome!
^.^ Still have to be packed a few more times, then just rest up and close the wound. I'll have a wicked and long scar on my back that'll be about 4 inches long. But it's a battle wound, hehe.
It'll be a reminder of my mortality, and sometimes, I wake up, remembering how close I was to losing my life. I don't like to think of it , but I am very lucky.
Well, oh yeah, Happy New year, I know this one will be better than my last.

Doing better...
Posted 13 years agoYup, just had my nurse come over, and finally pulled out the IV shunt from my arm, NO more IV's.
^.^ I'm so glad to have it out of my arm, though, I still need them to come over every other day to change the packing, but according to them, I am healing up very well. It doesn't hurt so much to lay back now, which is nice.
Oh, and I don't have to take my meds anymore, for this, cept the pain ones whenever they come over to change the dressing, and to sleep, it still hurts to fall asleep, I have tried a few times without taking the meds, but it didn't work, so, hopefully it will be soon.
