It's along the same lines as Avon, but with spices and knick-knacks for the Food Locker!

Posted 12 years ago So this last week has been very trying for me; getting over illness, my son as well..
working on a backlog of PWYC's that I need to finish up [and take more of..].
But most of all- I lost my Great Aunt and my Great Uncle, both within a week of eachother.

It's been forever and a day since I've had to close PWYC's..
But there were some incredibly generous people tonight who bought art. and I thank them soooo super deeply. <333 it will help me to get towards what I need this month!! :D
Even my husband noticed a change in my mood tonight as an instant flick-switch. :3

Posted 12 years ago Sooo, I made a call to my government services today to ask where the hell my payments for Child Tax and Family bonus are for the past two months..
The response I get?, "You won't be getting them until May 17th.."
WHAT. THE. FUCK. FUCK NO. BUT.. I have no option but to wait..
So now... I have no choice but to miss rent this month; pay what I can of my bills, and see how much I can make by the end of the month to help support myself and my son with food/diapers n stuff.
PS: Thanks SO MUCH for the person who sent us another box of diapers and a container of his brand of formula! SOO Thoughtful of you.. I just wish you'd give a return address on your mail so I can thank you properly.. Atleast give us a name.. hahaha.
So, I'll be streaming tonight and tomorrow to make what I can.. as well as next week annd.. we'll go from there until I burn out again..

Posted 12 years agoSo as all of you know, I'm recovering from Gallbladder removal. Going very well!
I'm no longer on my Mactop laying in bed, I'm now sitting at my desk! Not sure if I can sit at my desk for long periods of time just yet, due to my navel staples. So I'm looking for an art trade I can take a few days to work on. :D

Posted 12 years agoSo I'd like to happily announce that I'm feeling much better. :)
In he next few days, My staples will be pulled and then it's all scar healing from there. I should be starting up work again by next week, which is GREAT timing.
I do have a couple of pieces to finish right off the bat as I've promised people I would when I got back on my feet.
But I'm just SO happy to say that I no longer feel like death. -w-
I'm eating a lot more things and my tummy seems to be tolerant of a lot of it.. Cheese and dairy are still a nono.. :C /sad/..
But yay! I can actually walk around and stuff! I even went out lastnight and got a slurpee.. mmmm... slurpee..
I also picked up Boost meal replacement drinks to help me gain weight back.. Over the 4 weeks that I was on a low fat diet I lost nearly 10 lbs. For those that know me, that's a terrible thing.
I'm 5'2 and I DID weigh about 95-98 lbs.. At the hospital shortly before surgery, I weighed 88lbs. Not sure how much I weigh now, as I've been trying to stuff my face in the healthiest ways possible without making my stomach upset to assist myself in gaining some of it back and then some.. I can FEEL how skinny I've gotten and.. I'm not happy about it.. Thanks Dr Surgeon guy, who made my weight worse.. :/

Posted 12 years agoSo, since Wednesday, there has been minor improvement from surgery. Less outer pain, but still a fair bit of inner pain..
My pain killers do an amazing job, but believe me, I know when they've worn off..
I'm slowly exploring my food options. Discovered that canned fruit juice (frozen stuff) doesn't sit well with me. So far, toast, bananas, potatoes, salmon, ham, yams, broccoli and lightly salted tortillas sit rather well.
Drinking as much water as I can, which isn't a whole lot, but is way more than I ever would alone. I cuddle ice packs until my pain killers kick in and a little afterwards. My body is still learning to function with this missing item, but we'll see how it goes. :D. So far so good aside from being bedridden on a phone.
