It's been a while. I guess I can give a short update.

I've been out of work for about a whole year, though I'm currently going through some career coaching in the hopes that I can at least get some direction.

Been feeling unusually bored lately. Dunno what all else to say.

I've come to the realization and acceptance of the fact that the majority of people I meet on Street Fighter 4 online will kick my ass.


That said.... FUCK. I finally had over 200 bp and took a long string of losses that set me back to 0. T_T


oh well. At least Abel's a pretty decent character for my style. I can play the dodge game almost all day with him. Too bad he dosen't have a backwards roll.

Austin's been without an arcade for just over half a year now, since Einstein's shut down.

However, that dry spell is over, and now there's this awesome new place over downtown on speedway. Arcade UFO. For the most part, they're a japanese-style sit down arcade, with a ton of imported short-style cabinets. They just opened up this weekend. Me and a buddy checked them out earlier and stayed for a good 2 hours.
They had 2 pairs of linked SF4 machines, but there was a line a good 30 minutes long for them.

Other stuff they had was an out of order Arcana heart 2 cabinet, an original Vs. Super Mario Bros (with Vs. Goonies on it's flipside), and also Senko no Ronde, an odd mixture of a shooter and virtual-on gameplay wich was incredibly fun to play (and also featured a character that was suspiciously Bridget-like. >:3 )

ugh. I'm not exactly in pain right now, but at least mild discomfort thanks mostly to my one remaining baby tooth. I'm 26 and the damn thing never got a replacement to grow in. It makes me feel like some kind of redneck whenever I smile (so I just don't.)

A couple nights ago, it was hurting for no reason that I could tell. It's still sore, but it's been a dull ache I bearly feel now thanks to some sensodyne we had in the house. I'm going in tomorrow to get it looked at.

well, I've gotten my motivation to do stuff back. I'll post some pictures of what I've been up to soon enough. It's awesome, you'll see.

I'm trying to wrap my head around some things I'm seeing here, but it just does not make any sense. I was one of the refugees whom came here from sheezyart after they switched to a more "family friendly" server. I could not stand the sudden switch to "lol, no porn for you" that happened there, so, once I found out about FA, I jumped boat.

Here's just what I don't get. Why are certain, unnamed, artists here censoring their OWN art? I understand if it was a publicity stunt to get buyers for a cd, but just censoring just to do it on a site that it is unnessissary to do so at all is mind-boggling.

I want to just stand up and say "why?" What is the point? Is it just there to piss other people off? Is it some kind of political statement? Why bother putting up an inferior version of your artwork after it is already done?

I just installed the latest acrobat reader and rebooted and all of firefox's bookmarks are fucking GONE?! what the HELL?

thankfully, I've still got a backup with most of my bookmarks on file, but it still irks me that I have a few that I'll never remember about.

well, out of boredom, i watched the entire first season of the original transformers cartoon today.


anyhoo, tuesday night i'm heading over to the older wal-mart around here for the midnight shipment of Wii's to hit the floor. the old wal-mart is harder to get into because of where it's placed, as opposed to the easy-access one on the highway a few miles away.

hopefully, i can be the first in line.

strangely, this is the same wal-mart me and dad went to for the midnight release of the dreamcast when that came out.

the cat had been no-where in sight all day. I didn't really notice it untill mom said she hadn't been attacked at the door with begs for food when she came in.

we looked all over the house, and there wasn't a trace of the damn cat.

about an hour ago, mom went out to look for her with our dog, a german shepherd named buddy. apparantly, buddy knew what was going on fairly well. he brought mom probably not more than 10 feet from where the cat had been hiding before she turned back for home.

So, as she's heading up the driveway, mom hears a faint meow. she meows back. the cat answers again and comes strolling up the street after her.

apparantly, dad had been careless and accidentally let the cat out this morning, and the poor thing, being still unfamilliar with this neighborhood, got lost for most of the day.

well, the daemonettes are on stands.
the paintkit warriors are based and mostly primed.
and, the box of 03 chaos warriors are primed, but still on their sprues. all save 4, one of which i've done a rather sucessful test paint on.

i'm creating a chaos slaanesh warband, which i will have 2 versions of:
chaos mortals and daemons. right now i got it started with a sorcerer, an aspiring champion, and a box of the paintkit chaos warriors, who i've converted to look more individual.
