This time around I'm fixing up
a Kadaj costume, for Halloween
and any time an Anime con comes up
that I might like to attend.
It's coming along quite well,
and should be done by the end of the month
I really wish there was an anime con
here in Nebraska I could go to so I
dont have to spend a lot of travel money just
to go to one. It totally sucks ass that last year
they had one HERE in NEBRASKA while I was
away at college in Alabama and guess who
was there? As a Guest star! TIFFANY GRANT!
I'm a big Eva fan, damn it would have been
so cool to meet her! Oh well, as they say
"You cant always get what you want"
I just wish Omaha would expand even faster
and become a more commercial and possibly popular
place to be. I mean we do have our Henry Doorly Zoo
which is one of the top 10 zoos in America.
People do travel here just to see it sometimes.
As little as we Nebraskans got I'm proud of what we got.
I just wish they'd have more conventions or even a few
Fur meets some where. There's GOT to be some furs
that live in Nebraska right? I know I cant be the only one.

Posted 19 years agoOk i have this really odd request, well maybe not that odd but if someone could I would love if anyone who's got a fursuit at the next furry con, to see them in a fursuit performing the para para dance to Ayumi Hamasaki's Trauma and then posting it on Youtube! I've got the music if you want it just drop me an email at aokichan[at]gmail.com I'd love to see a group of furries do this but if only one or two is just fine!
For reference to the dance, go onto you tube and there are several videos of Ayumi Hamasaki preforming the Trauma dance.

Posted 19 years agoI was thinking about this as I was retrieving my late night coffee. Where's the romance in the sex? I've seen lots of pics lately that pretty much just get to the point, sex. That's what we all want though yes. Still though and perhaps during where's the romance at? I know through some artists and the way things are drawn it does seem rather passionate. Though other times not so much. Not that it's a bad thing but usually when you fuck it a friend it's pretty special right? Just wondering really.
Second thing, this might be a dumb ass question but who uses sketch pads? the better question, Do you use sketch pads? Or some other means of paper? As for me I hardly draw on or in sketch pads. Why? well I do a lot of scanning and I hate having the yellowish tan off white color. Personally I use good ol copy/printing paper. It's the whitest I've seen and it works good for me like that. It's just alot cleaner to me. No offense to people who do use sketch pads but it's like someone spilt tea all over their picture. Not the most appealing to me. Maybe, maybe I'm just being anal about it.

Tiger back into style?

Lately I've been seeing a few tiger themed items pop up here and there. One thing for sure is in the way of fabrics. I've seen several tiger print fabrics as well as one that has tiger faces all over it. Also interestingly enough my local craft store's had tons of tiger posters which I now possess. I wonder if tigers are going back into style. And no I'm not talking about fashion. but you know lately it's been cheetah or leopard. Personaly I think it would be great if having tiger themed items of any sort. What would be amazing and a dream come true is if every time someone bought a tiger related item some or all that money would go to helping preserve what few tigers are left in the wild. Hell they do that for movie stars and people in that industry. You buy their movie or music, they get the money. I think we should do something like that for the tigers.

WHAT'S THE FUCKING DEAL WITH SNAKES ON A PLANE?!
It's not like this is something new. I mean really animals killing people. Whee hoo all new! yeah right! I've seen several movies and dont ask why but they were on sci fi channel and I used to watch it a lot, with birds, giant snakes, bees, spiders, fish, bats, mosquitos, and several others like them. Personally I find many of them to be ultra cheesy. Booring, and rediculous.
In my oppinion Alien was the only film that truly succeded with this theme. Who doesn't love a xenomorph?! So yeah some one please tell me what's so special about this Snakes on a plane thing? People are saying it like the new "Oh Snap". not that any of this is pissing me off or anything but I really dont see why this is such a big phenomena?

Ive been busy lately, and today I've got a wedding to film and the editing for that will take some time. my weekend will be a bit busy unfortunately but I'll try my best to work on your trades and gifts as much as I can!
Star Wars Oversexed?!

First of all I love Star Wars, second I love sex yes sex is awesome. However in my oppinion the two dont and shouldnt go together. Star Wars to me is one of those things that should always stay "innocent" shall we say. Lately I've been seeing a big deal made out of Princess Leia in her prisoner slave outfit. Kotobukia just make a slave leia statue and also Gentle Giant did one recently of her in a rather suggestive pose. In my oppinion, Carrie Fisher is not sexy. She may be pretty, but definitely not sexy to me. Then again this is coming from a bisexual yet slightly more to the gay side fanboy Two who loves Japanese girls and such. Though I will say I do think Natalie Portman is beautiful. Hasbro also came out with a slave leia, which I think actually was pretty well done, good sculpt and paint job and such and she even had the staff which she uses briefly in the film. Cool pose even. Sensual yet kick ass.
Anyways, while browsing rebelscum they've got a gallery of the new animated cartoon of the 4,5, and 6 cast which btw I think the style is complete bull shit, but they've got Leia all sexed out again. It's driving me nuts and she's not even all that sexy! Perhaps to some half fat, stubbled, trading card/roleplaying, still living in his parent's basement at age 40 fan geek who never will find a mate in Real Life. No offense, i confess I AM stereotyping somewhat but really occasionally there are some who fit that profile. And no I dont think every star wars fan is that way. There are kids younger than me who litterally have every starwars item even the condoms, yes condoms, that ever existed. They even tried sexing out Padme for goodness sakes! If you check out the Padme Unleashed figure, which is Hasbro's version of the McFarlane line, the Unleashed line that is. You'll see that some where you'll find the title "Perky Padme" because of her nipples which protrude from her shirt. Geez? is it COLD on Geonosis? WTF?! Please! quit trying to make Padme and Leia sex icons! They've already got husbands and such. It's kinda weird.
Go back to jacking off to Oola and Aayla Secura or something! If you're a Star Wars fan or if you arent Twileks, the species of Oola and Aayla, are what most might consider some of the hottest alien females in SW. I mean really, Oola's already wearing netting and her breast falls out her costume as she's playing tug a slug with Jabba the Hutt. Aayla though to me is less sexed out thankfully, but she's more bad ass than most of the Twileks in SW. In the midst of all this PLEASE HASBRO, GENTLE GIANT, AND KOTOBUKIA STOP TRYING TO OVERSEX STAR WARS!

I CANT SLEEP DAMMIT!
Posted 19 years agoyeah, it's been one hell of a night and I've been awake all of it. Not the pleasant kind of awake where you're mind is flowing with creativity. More like the restless, achey, tired but cant sleep, roll around in your bed a million times, turn on the tv for a while, mindlessly surf the net, masturbate till your balls are sore, smacking you head against walls, doing summer saults, dry eyed, trying to read manga or books, listening to music most unpleasantly, kind of nights. I really hate those, and in about 5 hours, I have to go mow lawns for my job. Thankfully all I have to do is sit on my ass and listen to Utada Hikaru, Ayumi Hamasaki or Gackt for four or five hours straight.
Meh I feel like shit. I'd love to draw or something but my arms are tired, my eyes are fried, and I'm sure I'll look like a demonic Inu Yasha when I put my contacts in. You know, I think it's that fucking green tea with ginseng and all that extra shit. I'm telling, no making mom throw that shit away. Sure it's green tea but it keeps me up all damn night long. And yes I'm in a semi pissy mood. I probably will be all day. Uhhg.... Dreamlessness sucks. What I'd give to dream right now. *bangs head on the desk*
I'll let you in on a little secret, a good pawwing off usually puts me to sleep since you know how guys allways feel tired after they shoot and all. yeah I'm usually about to hit it after that, but after oh say 10 times or more all I got is sore balls and a caffine fix or something that's preventing me from sleeping! *bangs head against the desk even harder* BULL POO!!
Now for some good news, I got myself my first DVD player! It's an all region dvd player I bought off of yesasia.com. only $80, plays dvds, cds, and anything in between. You can play picture disks and even do Karaoke!
Fun thing, mom brought me back Star Wars 4-6 and Lord of the Rings in German from Germany. So I've watched Star Wars in German! It's fun! I'm looking to get a few Japanese movies now as well!

Posted 19 years agoI hope this isn't too much to ask, but honestly when you comment on my pictures I would appreciate a more detailed comment about what you like about the picture. I'd love to hear more specifically what you like about the picture not just "oh that's cute" or "He's/She's hot" or "I love this picture". Please go indepth about what you like.
It doesnt have to be a paragraph, but at least say something more such as "I like the expression of the characters" or even your comments on the technique used to create a desired effect. Even comments on say the composition or the placement or poses. Please add your thoughts! I would love to hear them. Even constructive critique is welcome as long as it's not "Well I would have done this different etc."
To those of you who dont speak English very well I dont mind if all you say is that you like the picture. Even from that I can understand.
Please dont think I'm trying to be a glory hog or anything but as most artists I'm sure would like to hear a bit more than "Oh that's cute". I love to hear what other peoples oppinions are!

Posted 19 years agowell as you all know I said I was off to camp. Well that all changed yesterday. A tragedy occured and a boy who was part of our group drowned in the lake. It left us all shocked and in tears. So in light of that I wont be posting much. I'll still be on every now and then but for the most part i'm not going to be around for a while.
I didn't know the boy very well but I talked to him a little and was going to get to know him then...he left this world. From what I know he was a wonderful person. He was only 17, a year younger than I or so. He had dreams and aspirations things he wanted to do and such but that all taken away. I dont care what anyone thinks of me as I say this but I know he's in Heaven with God, a much better place than this.
So yeah I wont be posting much for a while.

Camp
Posted 19 years agoWell today I leave for camp in 11 hours being that it's am right now, 1:26am CMT my time. So yeah one halfday, three full days and a final half day. On thursday night we always have this huge water fight, boys vs girls. It's always fun. This year 15 new guys from out of town are going with us and usually the group of guys that goes in very small so we'll have more testosterone. Lots of fun activities from obstacle courses, boating, swiming, hiking, horse backriding and all kinds of things! If the river's good there's a possibility of tubing. so yeah tonight I'm gonna straighten my room do a little packing and get ready for later today! Wish me fun and I'll be back at the end of the week!
As for other things, I've been really artistic lately, drawing things all over the place, well sorta. I've just felt like I have this desire to overflow with all kinds of art! I'll try to do some sketching while away at camp and of course more when I get back. If some of you didn't know I'm really big into cosplay and will jump at it any chance I have time and the money to do so. So far costumes I've made are Anakin Skywalker, Jawa, Jedi, Sith, Kite from .Hack, some original character of my own with a kick ass blue cloak, and Vash the stampede. The next I am planning to do is Kadaj from FFVIIAC. I'm really looking forward to doing Kadaj. I'm not using real leather but a fabric that's simulated to look like it and it's only like $3.49 a yard. Pretty inexpensive really and I'm using Simplicity patter 5368 I believe it is a matrix patern of some sort. Also I just got done screen shotting the hell out of Advent Children for reference pictures.

Posted 19 years agoWell I'm back! It was a wonderful trip! We stayed at a house that we own up in New Mexico and. My mom, cousins, and a friend all went as well as I. We did lots of shopping and brought back plenty of things. I got a few tiger related items, a plush and a few stones that were carved like tigers. Also a couple little dragons, a cyote pendant, and a few other neat things! I also got Japanese Comicers 2 which is awesome. I encourage the purchase of Japanese comicers 1, 2 and Comic Artists Asia, very good books, great artists and inspiration!
The area around is mountains so we did a lot of hiking as well! Tons of pictures and one I know Lumi-san would be very proud of! I saw Xmen 3 while down there and all I can say is XTREME! Very dark, emotional and awesome! Bryan Singer is a doing a wonderful job at these Xmen movies! At least from my perspective, having not been much into the comics. I also saw Over the Hedge a while back which was Awesome! GO SEE IT NOW! Very funny, cute and a great family film! Gotta love RJ and Hammy! So yes, I'm back for a few days and then I'm off again to camp. After that I'll be back for a good long time!

Posted 19 years agoJust to let you all know I'm leaving early tomorow morning for New Mexico for a vacation with friends and family. I'll be gone till the 30th and hopefully all will be well by then! I'll be back for a few days then i'll be leaving again for summer camp which will be from the 5th to the 9th. After that I'll be back for the summer.
Thoughts on Y Gallery
Posted 19 years agoI thought I'd give some thought and comment about this whole Y issue. Essentially I think the Y managers were just tired of all the furry art. Not that it was taking up their precious yaoi site. Sure it's a yaoi site, however I think it is mostly the members. It's not that we're posting to much furry it's that the yaoi artists aren't posting enough yaoi to balance it out. I mean I've still got my account there I I'll probably post from time to time. However 70% of the yaoi i see there either looks like shit, no offense, or looks like it was drawn by a 10 yearold. Once again no offense to perservering artists. More power to you for continuing to draw and improve.
However back to my thought, most people, or furs, if I'm not mistaken dont want to jack off or paw off to some thing that looks like their 10 yearold kid drew right? Even so at least in my oppinion I'd rather paw off to quality smut. I'm talking pro material or at least something tasteful like Zen's early drawings, or works that are not as complex and intricate yet still look good and damn hot like say Artdecade's stuff. Hope the artists mentioned dont mind my mention. So anyhow that is what I think on the whole Y issue.
I'm not really mad at Y or anything but it does upset me a little that it pissed alot of other furs off.
Another side issue that i have is that most of the yaoi there is the bastardization and oversexed cliched anime characters. Really, I could gouge my eyes out with a venomous snake fang from all the Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, Gundam, Naruto and Inu Yasha porn. I mean come on! We've all seen about a million pictures of each and 60% it's same poses, same sex (ie anal oral), same characters time after time. The only time it makes a difference for me is if some kick ass artist draws the characters in their own style, poses and settings. I say please folks can I have a fuckin' huge order of ORIGINALITY and a side of french fries? ^^
No offense to anime fans, and I'll admit I am one too. But I find most and a majority of anime fans to be rather UN-original. Sure we all go through that copy stage, I did too. Some otaku as you could call them never seem to develop their own style not that style is cruically important since there are a few that are fairly unique in the anime fandom ie Miyazaki compaired to Akira Toriyama. It's just my oppinion that alot of otaku never stray from the flow to create their own characters and such.
Where am I going with this you might ask? well back to furries of course! ^^ It is my oppinion once more that Furries and those in the Art Industry, are most original. Inspired? YES! Nothing is without inspiration! But back to the subject, we as furries usually dont have characters to base off of, so we more times than not make our own. Which I find is a wonderful practice! It free's up the artist's creative ability and thought process to BE creative! That's what I love about furries and being one myself. There are plenty of other reasons I love being furry and other furs but that's another discussion.
Last but not least, and I thank you for enduring this long journal if you've made it to this point. I encourage you to get yourself a snack or a cookie or what ever you prefer for reading this eyesore. ^^ I congradulate you. So yes, Fan Art. Something I love yet hate. Once more when it's the whole copy a poster or a screen shot from the anime fandom, I dont like it that much. I try to stay away from that. That's why I dont draw much fan art. Not saying fan art is bad but it gets tiring if you understand my point. Personally, I think if you're to draw fan art, PLEASE if you can draw the character in your style or at least try, also in your own pose, and your own setting. I'm sure the original artist would appreciate it. Just think of doing some great piece of work then framing it and bringing it to a convention where the artist is and show it to him or her and have him or her see that it's near or an exact copy of his or her work. I dont think he or she would want to sign it. They might out of politeness but it if were me, I wouldnt want to sign it because it's them taking credit I feel for something I did originally.
Ok I'll shut my furry ass up now ^^ Go on and get yourself some thing really nice! Be it food, a toy, an instrument, something electronic or my favorite a sex toy!

Posted 19 years agowell after being told furry art is banned on Y I decided to come here to post my furry art and yiff. It's sad but true, however I will adapt. I already kinda like this place, the interface will get a little time to get use to though. As most know I'm Aokineko from DA, SA, and Y and I'm other places as well but for now I'm only here.
Nice little place I must say I just hope it doesnt take any unfortunate turns that many other galleries have. To be honest I'm some what fearful to post even here because of how other galleries have been. However I still want to draw furry art and showcase it to people and other furs!
