Hey Guys! The following is an update I've been keeping to myself, but wanted to tell you guys since drawing has severely slowed and become difficult! Thankfully, though, this story has a happy ending!

Soooo I don't talk about it much but I have always had some pretty terrible problems with my shoulder including an intense pinched nerve that acts up and give me severe migraines. It's been something I've been managing for many years through doctors and medication, but makes it difficult to draw or paint at times. These past few months, the pain spread to my neck and escalated intensely that I began to experience chronic pain that sometimes made my arms give out (making drawing next to impossible). Secretly, I always feared that my shoulders and back would become so bad that one day I wouldn't be able to draw anymore at all (degenerative disc disorder runs prevalent in my family so it's not an unrealistic fear). Stubborn, I tried to just tough it out, hoping it would just go away-- that is until the migraines and pain became unmanageable! Today.... I finally decided to go to the doctor! I'm so psyched! I need to have physical therapy now, but the problem is reversible! It probably will never be to the point where my shoulders and back are normal, but it will be manageable again and maybe even better than before! I guess this update is to tell everyone that although drawing is slow at the moment, I'll be back in business soon enough! I'm so relieved, I can't even put it into words! ^__^ Things are looking up!

So hopefully will be sketching on the 4 hour ride -- as long as I don't get carsick!
When I get back, we're supposed to be snowed in from a HUGE blizzard, so I may just work on art, studying, and catch up on lots of work that needs to be done!

I've also been moving my storage space and selling/giving stuff away in freezing weather, so I ended up getting pretty sick (LOL I know, I know, when am I not?). I haven't been able to hold down food, so lately I'm trapped in bed, making studying and art the order of the day! I know I shouldn't be traveling like this, but one of my close friends is going to Australia and I need to see her beautiful face before she leaves!

When I get back, I'll probably do a better update, as I'll have more time, but just wondering, would anyone be interested in charms if I open them up again? I just got a new package of paper (SO EXPENSIVE!!!) and I'd love to make some new stuff!

Also, while working on the storage, I found a copy of the unopened Mouse Guard Roleplaying Box set! Gonna put that up on ebay soon! I didn't know the price went up so much since I got it! @__@

Just really quickly wanna update everyone 'cause I've been crazy-busy! --and for some reason am in a super productive and happy mood!

Sept-Nov I worked at the largest haunt in the area that also boasts "Best Haunted Attraction in America": Reaper's Revenge! It was one of the best experiences I ever had, but I had barely ANY time for art.
That took me right into finals where I became even busier!
And last week I got in a car crash and have a mild concussion! >__< Bad luck!

The point is, I'm alive and working hard on commissions and new art! Over this vacation I want to get a lot of pieces finished!
(Already have one LARGE piece and a few smaller ones ready to get going on -- So if you want something commissioned, please feel free to message me!)

--SHORT UPDATE--
Hey Guys,

So as you may or may not know, I have been battling some pretty epic pneumonia as well as mending from a broken heart after a 9 year long relationship ended...
With being in and out of the hospital, I had to put most of my commissions and raffles on hold! I finished all my medicine and, then, relapsed terribly, causing me to completely start over again! It was so disheartening! I was shaking, coughing, and barely breathing most of the time... Now, I'm psyched that things are getting back on track and I'm coherent enough to be working on my art again!

I can't thank you all enough for all of your kind words on my journals and artwork! You will never know how much what you said uplifted me and kept me going! You guys are amazing; I can't even put into words how much that all meant to me! Once I have time, I'm going to do a better update and respond to each and every message individually, but for now, Thank You! Thank you all so much for sticking by me and saying such kind things to me! It feels like I don't deserve it, but I'm so glad that I have each of you in my life (even if we don't talk much)! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

I may not be 100%, but I'm more than happy with how much better I'm feeling!
This Puppy is completely touched by your kindness!!

Hey everyone....

As you may or may not know (from the previous journal).... things have been going roughly in my life lately...
But I didn't expect what came next....

My fiance of 9 years left me....
I don't even know what to do or how to take it.... I'm in a cocoon of depression...
I haven't done anything differently, he just told me he simply doesn't like me anymore...
None of our friends seem to know where this is coming from or why....
He didn't want to talk about it or try to fix it.... he just left.... and my heart broke.....

That isn't to say, as a responsible artist that I'm completely stopping the raffle, because you guys shouldn't have to pay for all my personal troubles. I'll still be holding it and I upped the winners to 3 because of how many people entered. I will be drawing numbers this weekend.... all I ask, is that you guys give me time.... please give me some time to heal a bit before I get them done..... Doing art is going to be slow and arduous, but I want to make it work, even if it will take a while

(Divided it up, just in case you just want the quick facts and don't want to get bored with the crud going on in my life! XD)

--QUICK UPDATE--
Hey Guys!
As you may or may not be aware, I'm having another FREE raffle over Easter Vacation! If you haven't checked that out please do!
It'll help me get helpful feedback and get to know you all better because I want to be friends with everyone (I'm a creeper like that! SORRY!) XD
I'm also working to prepare for Zenkaikon on the 25th, getting my costumes and artwork ready!
If you happen to be going to that Convention, My bestie and I will have a table in the AA and are hosting the Avatar Panel as per Usual
(Super Spoilers: we're going to be revealing what happened to Zuko's Mom at the very end and we'll be doing lots of live martial arts demonstrations!)
As far as art, look forward to some new button designs that I haven't had a chance to upload yet, as well as class projects!
I'm hoping to be kicking some art butt and taking names as soon as possible! XD



--VENTING/PERSONAL JOURNAL--
As usual, I like to keep everyone up to date on what's going on in my life when there hasn't been much going on in my page.
So,if you're wondering why art has been at a standstill, it's mostly because mental crisis mode has been in overdrive lately,
making it extremely trying to draw. I've been wanting to finished these two super intensive projects for someone and make some
new personal art, but it feels like everything I create is an utter mess (and I don't want to give anyone crap).
On top of that, my bad shoulder has been acting up, making prolonged stints of drawing next to impossible. I'm really
starting to worry, I may not be able to draw much at all in the future with how bad it's been getting...

The biggest setback has actually been school...
I'm currently majoring in art therapy because I was hoping to use my passion for art to help others...
Unfortunately, my adviser, who is also head of the department, blatantly told me he doesn't like me... like at all...
I kind of became mentally winded because of this and it definitely affected my will to draw. I keep thinking "what kind of an awful person
must I be when someone whose job it is to be compassionate and empathetic to others simply can't stand me for whatever reason...
I even had the awful luck of having him as my portfolio reviewer and he said he loved my art but didn't like me,
then proceeded to flip out on me because I asked if he could repeat a question because I didn't understand.
=__= Apparently, I can't do anything right even though I'm not even trying to make anyone mad...

I'm hoping to get back on track, but it seems every move is two steps forward and one step back with other difficult external personal life factors
interfering as well. Thankfully, I've been feeling a little more hopeful after talking to others in my major who feel targeted by the teachers
in that department. I try not to let other people's comments affect me, but being around it so much, has slowly started to eat away at me.
I took a breather and my friends are really supporting me and keeping me in high spirits despite everyone going in my life.

So, I apologize, for not creating as much art as I'd like...
I want to start doing more commissions again as well as charms and such! ^__^ So I'll work hard and try my best!

Life has been super hectic lately! I've been working really hard on classes and my artwork, as well as keeping up with other personal things in my life!
It's been stressful, so I haven't had time to go on FA as much. It wasn't until recently that I realized I have over 200 watchers!
Totally shocked! Seriously?! Over 200?! That's so awesome that so many people want to watch and support my art! ^__^ It's really exciting and I can't even begin to thank everyone for your support!

Okay, thought I'd let everyone know what's going on, right now.
Currently, I'm on Spring Break! Woo-hoo!
But, of course, since there was a stomach virus going around the school and I have a crap immune system, I caught it!.... Yup, raise your hand if you're surprised.... ::crickets chirping:: Thought so....

So, I'm going to be resting all of tomorrow, but after that, my goal is to get all of my commissions finished!
Yup, EVERY. LAST. ONE.
I can't wait to be caught up and able to upload everything! Excitingggg!!!! So, if you want commissioned, you may want to contact me over this vacation because afterwards things will slow down a lot. The school I transferred to is crazy with tests, work, and homework, including surprise online assignments, leaving me with next to NO time for commissions.

Also, for my one class, I'm supposed to assert an internet presence, which includes creating a Facebook group for my art. Surprisingly, it's a little uncomfortable for me, but If you guys want me to post a link once it's finished I will!

Another thing that I'll be uploading are the new charms I made, as well as auctions and button designs that will be up soon! Stuff to look forward to! (I'm sure I'm more excited to upload this stuff than anyone else! XD But whatever!)

So.....
Today, my car broke down in the middle of a huge blizzard! We were stranded on the highway for hours, no heat, in the freezing cold and I was wearing a skirt... Finally got home much much later via tow truck, followed by having to walk through the snow the final stretch because they didn't plow my neighborhood and I live on a ridiculous 90degree angle hill that no one could get to...

=__= Now I have no car, caught a cold, and am snowed in, having gotten no sleep.
Since I have to take care of car stuff, this cold, still have to sleep, and finished homework for my classes (since nothing was finished from being stranded in a storm forever), I'm going to extend the auction another day. I honestly don't have the time to go through everything right now and got a few personal messages about the auctions that I wasn't able to answer due to these extenuating circumstances!

I now have to pay for towing and fixing the car, so hopefully these auctions go fairly well (spread the word if you can ::puppydog eyes::)

I hope you guys aren't too miffed! Life has a way of throwing me these fun little curve balls =__=

Hey, guys, So recently I threw my shoulder out doing work and drawing, and my spastic muscle and migraines have been giving me trouble...

Hey everyone,

So, I realized that I'm a terribly slow artist (shocker, right?) and so I worked on a style that I could use to create cute chibis really quickly! I hope everyone likes it. I'll still be doing the detailed style of chibis as well, but I'm trying really hard to work up my speed a bit! -What made you choose the species of your main fursona?-
Honestly Millie was created before I even knew what a furry was...
I always loved animals and felt that they could represent a large part of who a person is,
so I would constantly draw myself and friends with animal ears and tails or just as a feral animal representative of a personality trait.
For the longest time, I kept switching...
First I was a black wolf for quite a while, but felt it didn't exactly fit (if you know me personally, you'd be like "no... no that doesn't fit, what were you thinking?!")
I definitely knew I was a canine, so for a while I was a rottweiler, then a collie for a short time (that I think had bat wings =__=!), a Bernese mountain dog, and a mutt...
Finally, I realized that my personality was essentially that of a golden retriever, through and through, and so it kind of stuck!


-Is your fursona just like you, or how you want to be?-
She essentially is me, just in an exaggerated way.... but sometimes I am as crazy as she can be.
The only difference, is that she doesn't have the vices that I try so hard to hide, often has no regrets, and is much more decisive
so in that way, she's how I want to be!

... oh and she has the ability to look sexy if she wants to, though she rarely does (that ability escapes me) XD


-Does your fursona have the same personality you have?-
Again, she's essentially the me, yet exaggerated.
She's loud, energetic, crazy, blunt, tough, stubborn, friendly, and does things without thinking it through sometimes!
Although the majority of the time she loves to cuddle and be around lots of friends, she also values her alone time!

Oh, but Millie is also much less responsibly, so she and I (in comic form) often get into fights!
=__=! I can't even get along with my 'sona! WTF?!


-Does your fursona have the same dislikes and likes as you do?-
For the most part, yes, but I think I have more dislikes than she does!
She also like to be a lot more touchy feely, whereas I'm more dual minded,
sometimes loving a bajillion hugs and will love you forever for a shoulder-rub
... and other times I'm in "touch me and die" mode...


-Does your fursona look like you at all?-
She is me, just with puppy ears and a tail.
In feral form, she has visual aspects of every dog I've ever had, which took a while to make work! XD


-Is your fursona the same gender as you, if not why?-
Yup! Gotta love the ladies! ;)


-Do you have more then one main fursona?-
No! Millie's my only 'sona, but I do have other characters (some of which may represent an aspect of myself)...
I'm a terrible creator, though! I haven't given them attention in foreverrrrr!! TT_TT


-Do you have a back story for your fursona, if so does it have anything to do with your own history?-
OMG.... so..... Super embarrassing story mode time! Sit down, kiddies, and let me tell you a tale!
I created Millie when I was much, much younger, so originally she was a were-dog, sorceress, adventurer with GIANT paw-hands!
Her parents were killed when she was younger and her sister became a demon and.... UGH, it was a mess!!! >__<
I WAS REALLY LITTLE, OKAY!!!

....anyways, now she's just me! .... and it's gonna stay that way!


-Is your fursona mated, if so is it to your real life significant other?-
Honestly, I never really thought of it before.... I guess so since I'm with Mr. Jason Jeager-Tiger,
but I never put her in those types of situations...


-If not are they looking for a mate, or are they a swinger so to speak?-
No


-Is there something special about your fursona that you think sets them apart from others?-
Lately, I've become extremely indecisive in many situations, and can no longer settle on a marking for her ear.
Now, I just use various symbols to express her state of mind at the moment or however she's feeling (though the default is still a heart)
It also makes the art look more playful, like when she's confused I use a question mark or a star for when she's feeling mischievous or spunky!


-Do you have much art of your main fursonas?-
Not reall. Her fur used to be only brown in her previous design, so I don't have anything of her new design other than the stuff I did,

... I haven't even made her a reference sheet!
I should really get on that, but I feel like she's just such a part of me that I don't want to screw it up! (Should I commission one?)

That'd be like parting with a piece of myself! She may change here and there, but she and I will always be together!


-If you suit, do you have a suit of your main fursona?-
Maaaannnnn I would love a suit! They seem like so much fun!

Well I do little comics of her shenaniganing when I have the time if that counts!
I don't really have the time to RP anymore...

Hey, everyone! Happy New Year!!!

As some of you may or may not know, I've been extremely sick as of late and classwork piled up because of that.
I've been in and out of the doctor's/hospitals taking all sorts of medicines, but I still have bronchitis and the flu!
Can't seem to shake it and it's getting in the way of everything I want to do! ::shakes fist vengefully::

Still, I'm working hard on getting commissions and other new pieces finished for all who have requested them!
So, if you've requested something, it's well on its way to getting to you!
This year my resolutions are to (hopefully) become healthier and, then, be able to do more art in a faster manner!
I want to become more organized in my thinking and create wonderful things for people as well as become more reliable to myself and those around me!

What about you guys? Does anyone else have any interesting new years resolutions?

Hey Guys,

So, with working on commissions and the heavy schoolwork load I've had, I inevitably developed an extremely painful case tendinitis! It's particularly debilitating when I attempt to grasp anything and at times it becomes difficult to even hold a pencil. I allowed my wrist to rest for about a day and a half, but there's not much improvement. Unfortunately, I have to finish a painting for a class by Wednesday and a sculpture by Thursday, which seems near impossible if I can't even hold a paintbrush without pain shooting through my wrist.

Bottom-line, does anyone have any suggestions or home remedies? I have no health insurance, so any professional care is out of the question...

So, I just wanted to update anyone awaiting commissions or trying to contact me regarding new commissions.

Lately life has been completely wrought with hectic problems trying to muck up my flow and impede getting anything done. (Feel free to skip the following storytime)

School has begun and with switching to a major in Art Therapy and a minor in Illustration/Graphics, the workload has become a bit overwhelming at times. Thankfully I was able to manage everything and keep my grades up, until *DUN DUN DUNNNN* my fiance caught MRSA. The better part of several weeks were spent rushing him in and out of the hospital (Poor Guy). Just as he's feeling better, now I've caught a horrible flu. I passed out in my driveway several days ago and have been in and out of functioning order.

TL:DR Life's kickin' my butt and I'm still swinging back! :P

So, I'm still rather sick, but wanted to let everyone know why commissions are very slow at the moment. Today I compiled a list of all the commissions, art trades, and such I need to get to and will hopefully blaze through as quickly as possible. (Prelim sketches are already being made)

I already have some art that needs to be posted, and will as I find free time to resize and make them FA ready.

INTRODUCTION
Hey Guys! ::waves paws and wags tail::

So, recently I've been feeling really thankful to have met (and made friends with) so many awesome people who wanted to watch my art! I was kind of bummed about my art lately but everyone continued to encourage me! I really wanted to find a way to thank everyone for being so supportive, so I figured it may be about time that I did what most furry artists do at one point or another.

Audience: "Draw porn!?"

Yup.... wait... NO! NOT AT ALL!!! I meant hold a free art raffle! Get your minds out of the gutter! SHEESH!
As of right now, I'm occupied with preparing for two cons at the end of the month, so I'm hoping to draw winners on Sept. 1st.

One (1) free drawing of a character of your choosing.
It can be in detailed pencil or flatcolor digital (cel-shaded if I feel adventurous).
Thus far there will be ONE winner, but if enough people enter, I will either draw two numbers or raise the prize to two sketches.
