SO the next character i'm making into a fursuit is a Taum! Taums have a small beak mouth as well as a big ol' bear mouth that is not really visible when closed. My problem is that i want to make a head that can use both of these mouths at the same time. I don't want it to hang open. I was thinking if all else fails i'll do Velcro right? but how bad would that look?! what i am asking for is i guess opinions on methods to achieve the double mouth i'm trying to do, and make it look as good as possible. (taums dont normally open their bear mouth but I really want to make it spectacular and just like the species) any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated! <3

~~SO This weekend is FE. I'm gonna be one drunk ass fox. ALSO I have indeed decided to open for comission. This will take place sometime soon ish after FE (I will post an official opening journal) I'll be doing them for friends first then generally open. Should be open before the summer hits (hopehopehope) My next personal suit will be my Taum character. I'll work out details... whenever

Side note, when I do become open i would like people to keep in mind that I am new to the whole bit and would appreciate patience and understanding with me.

Had a nap, back to the dungeon T^T I have so much work to do and even though I'm busy and I havent done anything but make fursuits for a few days, I'm not stressed, this is something so blissful to me. Something I can see myself doing. I'm very happy. Once every 2 weeks is NOT often enough to see a counsellor.

I've started on a 3rd fursuit. but this ones not for myself. I'm hoping to finish it for FE so that my boyfriend and I can both suit there! we're trying pretty hard to go but between last minute rides and hotel such and such it's a tad overwhelming for me. I've got quite a bit on the go and im hoping it all turns out well.

I visited california a while back and had to visit the hospital for an infection while I was there. this was in november.
A bill arrived to the place i was staying for 400 dollars. all they did was test my pee. that is bananas. I am torn as to what to do. I do NOT have anywhere near 400 dollars to just give to some asshole who did nothing but write down that I needed antibiotics. but If i were to re visit i don't know if they'd see on file that I didn't pay a bill or something and not let me in. I'm panicking because I do plan to go back and I really don't know what to do.. I can't seem to find anything on the subject.. if anyone has advice or maybe knows what would happen if I didn't pay it it would be really appreciated.. if not I'll have to find a way to make cash..

I really wanna go to FE! It'd be my first furcon and my boyfriend's too, But I need to find a way to make money. I can't see anyone wanting feetpaws or tails this close to the con, also I only have like 4 colours. :C Butts

So I've gotten a lot of positive feedback from friends and strangers about my suit, and I've been thinking for quite some time that I want to open for commission. My problem is that I'm afraid someone will pay me, and I'll make the suit, and they'll be unhappy with it. Making fursuits is something I REALLY wanna try my hand at, and may be a good way to make a bit of cash for doing it. I'm just really not sure how to start it up. I was thinking about pre making suits and characters to go with them, and selling them, but how many people have the same taste I do? and what if they don't sell that way. I guess I'm just wondering how some of the people who have been doing this for a while got started, and how it all worked out for them? I really would love opinions on this and maybe suggestions about what to do.

I can feel it coming back. The trigger words in my head that reassure me that my old anxieties and sadness are creeping back in, are running through my head again, and even in my happy place I'm feeling hopeless in defense against them, the feelings. I don't even notice I'm saying them to nobody in my head. "Fuck everything" when I really don't mean it. My eyes are heavy from crying. I don't want to go home. This strange place feels like an oasis and home feels like an empty metal cage. Worse than that. Home is where I am treated like a lapdog without an opinion, where I am self conscious and ignored. The warden preaches hollow promises of acceptance and understanding. Who would want to go back to that? I have a chance to escape but I am being forced to go back. I don't want to go home, I want to stay here in my happy place.

This journal is pretty much a vent and a short blurb about my ascension to self awareness.

I have posted a journal here before about my baby Riven, and how she's sick. She's a white rat who will find any way she can to get inside of your shirt and cuddle with you. She loves warm baths and Goji berries, but she's been sick for the better part, if not her whole life.

I am seeing a counsellor in the town I'm living in currently, and I have seen counsellors before, But none are like Muriel. I'm not sure if many people know this about me but I have awful anxiety and self loathing. I could only ever see the bad in myself, and it all seemed hopeless. I had an appointment with her today, and It's left me feeling better than I have in a long time. I talked to her about Riven, and why my universe gave her to me, and the more we talked about it, the more it became clear; that Riven is my friend because the way that I care for her is a reminder of my compassion. It seems to be such a small thing when I try to see it from a stranger's perspective. In my world it's a huge reminder that I do have good qualities, people don't see me as anything less than human (or furry :3). Realizing this helps me shed these heavy feelings that weigh me down that aren't true. Think of it like a backpack full of cans of soup, and all the soup cans are different feelings like shame, helplessness, fear. Every time someone says or does something to make you feel something negative, you pick up the can they just threw at you! even though it's their damn can of soup you pick it up! My backpack has been full for way too long, but with the help of Riven and my counsellor (and my universe) I'm slowly shedding the weight, and trying my best to let people keep their soup, as well as trying to see the good in me.
