Hey there everyone, its been awhile since i posted any kind of public update on things and i wanted to give a general update since things have been.. rough.. for a bit.
I want to start this out by saying i'm extremely sorry for the delays i've had in getting work completed over the last few months. My commissioners and watchers have been more patient than i could have asked for and it means so much to me. I appreciate every one of you more than i can express. ;; That being said, if any commissioners currently on the queue would like a refund, please shoot me a note and we can work those out privately and promptly. <3
I would like to give a warning that this journal will vaguely touch some topics some might find a little uncomfortable or triggering.
What's been going on:
While I'm not too comfortable going into too much detail at this time but i wanted to explain my complete disappearance for the last month and a half. My mental health has tanked severely, I'm used to shoving things back and forcing myself to work despite having been struggling for the better part of my life but tbh.. It's caught up with me and I'm having a hard time getting back on my feet again.
At the end of last month, after a severe spiral, my fiance and my roommate took me to the hospital to get the help i needed. Being hospitalized was.. definitely something i wouldn't want to go through again if i'm being honest... Once i was allowed to go home again I was put into an intensive partial hospitalization program where i've been for the last two and a half weeks. Working has been difficult while attending these all day sessions at the hospital and them constantly adjusting my medications. I'm finally out of the daily hospital program and I'm starting up weekly therapy to manage things as well as seeing a new psych.
I'm slowly trying to ease myself back into work but it won't be an overnight "Hey i'm back and we're gonna pretend everything is grand" kind of a thing. I'm coming to terms with how bad my mental health has gotten, and trying to process getting some not so fun diagnoses. Therapy and getting stuff sorted further is gonna be a process that i'll be going through for a long while. Everyone's continued patience would be greatly appreciated as i make steps to get back on track with commission work and life. Thank you for reading. ;; <3

When it rains it pours.. I want to apologise for my lack of responses to anyone this last week and a half. Before FWA we lost one of our family dogs to bone cancer and when i got back I learned a family member of mine was in the hospital and wont be coming home again. This news has been extremely hard on all of us. Because of everything I'll be taking the next few days to make sure that this family member won't be alone through everything and then taking a few more days to help my dad in any way i can with arrangements.
I promise i'm still be working on art when i can but for the next week or so i would really appreciate patience with responses, especially to notes and messages on telegram. Thank you so much for your understanding and i promise my online activity will pick up again after stuff has settled and i've had time to process everything. ;;
Move, Commissions, and personal update!

Long time no update. Oops. The move to AZ went well and we've finally fully settled in our new home. I know i've said it before but I really can't thank you guys enough for the support. We wouldn't have been able to make this move work without Those who had commissioned me. ;; <3
Update regarding existing commissions-
I've /Almost/ got all my MFF take home queue cleared and will be doing a mass printing/mailing in the next two weeks so i can move onto my TFF orders and the aquarium YCH i posted in december. I unfortunately had issues with the airlines having destroyed much of my luggage going to and from the convention, resulting in most of my TFF commissions forms being water damaged and nearly illegible due to the ink bleeding. I was able to make out a good chunk of them with the help of a friend and will be contacting everyone to confirm and update any incorrect information soon. If you already see your card on my trello and see an issue with the information on your card please feel free to reach out to me on Telegram ( Username @ HighYote ) or email ( FruitCupPup @ yahoo . com ) and i'll respond as soon as possible and fix everything for you. I should start sketching everyone's badges before the end of the month! c:

Update regarding new commissions-
Since i've been getting more notes about new coms than i can respond to, I wanted to just publically say that i'll be opening for a couple general commissions spots this week since its been a while. I don't have a set day quite yet but it'll be sometime this week for sure! c:
Please remember that i don't accept new commissions outside of /Journal and Tweet Announced/ openings and private rush orders discussed via email. If you would like a commission once i announce that i'm open, I'll have a google form up and open that i get your information through, not notes. These openings are /not/ first come first served as i want to select projects that grab my interest and i know i can bring to life successfully for the commissioner, so patience after sending in the form would be greatly appreciated. ;u;
Small personal update-
Firstly I want to apologize to everyone for how slow progress with art has been this last month and a half. The cross country move had me completely unable to work for nearly two weeks and then being offered TFF dealers space right after getting settled has left me a little behind as i was away from my computer for 5 additional days for the con. I'm doing my absolute best to catch up on everything while maintaining the quality of my work and i greatly appreciate how wonderful you've all been with me despite the minor delays.
I kinda want to mention that I /just/ lost my two oldest rats (both due to old age related issues and the two having been so strongly bonded that after the first one passed, the second one became severely depressed. Despite everything we did to help the second one, he stopped fighting and soon joined his brother on the other side of the rainbow bridge). Because of this i've been taking a few days for myself to process everything, take care of myself mentally, get my boys cremated, and make sure my 6 younger rats all remain physically/ emotionally well after losing two cage mates. I'll to continue to chip away at work but would greatly appreciate if friends could be a little patient with me regarding slower replies for a couple days. I promise i'm not upset at anyone and i'll get back to you guys as soon as i'm feeling upto it. <3

Back from MFF, and back to work!
Posted 8 years agoThank you guys so so much for your patience with me through this last month, i've been working on nonstop con prep and between getting stuff ready for my table and working on preorders ive barely had the time to do much else. I've got a small stack of notes that i'll be sorting through over the next few days and i'm adding all the info from the group YCH and my MFF take home orders to my public queue this week!
If you've ordered a badge at the con i'll be sending you a link to my queue, tos, and getting your refs from you as soon as i have everything unpacked and i'm rested! I can't thank you guys enough for filling up my take home spots before the end of the first day, you guys are absolutely amazing! <3 ;;
Once my badge list is updated and everything's sorted out normal commission work will resume asap. I'll be dedicating a whole week this month just to catch up on patreon prizes and the rest of the month will be spent trying to put a decent sized dent in my queue and having everything commissioned before december completed before christmas (with the exception of the aquarium YCH as that's gonna take a bit more time c: )

After finally clearing my iFC queue and the majority of my regular queue, i can finally open for MFF pick up badges! This year I'll Be super easy to find as i was offered table space in the Dealers den with @Otter.nonsense, our exact location in the DD will be announced when the con gets closer! Im super excited to be in the dealers room for a change since artists alley last year was an absolute mess and i didn't get a space until sunday. xux' I'll have Prints, buttons, stickers, bookmarks, keychains, and more available on top of taking at con and take home badge commissions! <3

Firstly i wanna thank everyone who kept my small bean in their thoughts today with his emergency vet visit. You've all been absolutely wonderful and honestly it's a huge blessing to have commissioners willing to snag those spots. I honestly wouldn't have been able to get him the help he needed as fast as i was if it wasnt for your support. ;; Thank you all a ton.
So after hours of anxiety, some x-rays, and testing his eye swelling was ruled as likely just being inflamed tissue caused by an eye infection. With that being said, Potato will most likely gonna loose sight in that eye, but should make full recovery with 10 days of antibiotics, pain meds, and lots of TLC. If worse comes to worse he'll have to have it surgically removed but the vet is confident that he'll be able to preform that with minimal risk of complications so I'm forever grateful for his help in all this. The vet total ended up being just under $400, so that little bit i have left over is gonna be held onto just in case he needs that surgery after all.
Again I cant thank you all enough. You've literally helped me save the life of the critter that makes getting outta bed each day worth something. I'll post photos on my public twitter @ fruitpupart as he makes his recovery, so those who wanna see how he's doing can check up on him. ;u; <3

So today we woke up and one of my rats has an extremely swollen eye that came out of nowhere. I had smooched him and given him treats before bed like I always and he seemed completely fine. Good appetite, no abnormal behavior, just his happy spunky self. But today when we checked in on him his eye had doubled in size to the point where he cant close it properly. I was initially gonna see if i can get care credit for the vets office since we've paid all of out previous vet bills in full at the time they were seen, but i was denied due to having no credit history (how the hecky do they expect me to get credit history when their just gonna deny me the credit i need to build up a history??)
So because this rat means the world to me and i cant let him sit like this im taking on 3 NSFW commission spots at discount. Back to work, small update!

I meant to update this sooner, super sorry for delays, ifc had taken a massive toll on me. The entire weekend I worked on commission work from the moment I woke up to the moment I went to bed with less than five hours sleep each day, so it took a few days to recuperate from all that once i got home. But im ready to get back to work again!
I've gotten the oldest things i owed earlier today and im working on everything else from oldest to newest to keep things fair. All take home commissions have been added to my queue and that should be upto date now! WIPs will be sent out this week for a good chunk of the stuff on my queue and i'm making a mail run this week to send out the three post con mailing badges i finished before leaving for iFC! First off super sorry for being slow to update, the move went very well and we are all settled into the new place! I've been hard at work starting back on commissions and getting things pumped out again. I'm hoping to have my older owed work all knocked out by this coming weekend. One small heads up though, I will be absent from online activity on July 3-4 for my birthday so I can relax some and take a day to go have some fun outside the house again (hoping to go to build a bear again this year to get Nother buddy for my new office. >u> also hecka excited to finally turn 21! *u*)
