I just want to get this attached on my journal in case some artist comes here exactly for this reason.

I've gotten fed up with artists with poor communication skills. If I make a comment about interest in a commission and your answer isn't something I can construe to mean "yes, send me a note", I'm not following up beyond that. If I say I'm interested in a commission and an artist isn't clear they are interested in my business, I'm just dropping contact -- don't expect me to play a game with you to get your attention.

I just posted a handful of photos from our trip to the zoo. It was a ton of fun with 11 people showing up - 5 of which were in fursuit. I vaguely remember Brookfield Zoo when I was a child being a baren place with almost no one there. This day seemed to be PACKED though to my surprise >.<

We basically got mobbed for photos non stop. It was fun, but also exhausting.

We got stopped by zoo-police once. He was pretty nice and very logical simply saying -- if people want photos, we don't mind.. but don't go up to people purposely or they'll think you work for the zoo. Discussing it with Rustitobuck and Crypto we realized we were in the clear -- but how we present ourselves could be something to think about. No advertising is allowed at the zoo .. and quite frankly it's a little hard to explain "we just do this for fun". We had a few people guessing that we were high school mascots. I was hoping me carrying around a backpack might give the clue that we don't work for the zoo d= I'm very tempted next year to find one of those "This IS my halloween costume" Tshirts.

I'm still an amateur but I had one proud moment.. a dad brought her daughter over to me who was real young.. she looked happy for a second, then scared and didn't want to come near me... almost to crying. I covered my face and hid away looking scared myself AND IT ACTUALLY WORKED! The dad recognized what I was doing, told her I was scared myself and the kid cheered up. I was so shocked to actually pull it off d=

Anyway.. I'm up for doing this again in the future.. but only on the halloween event. I'm thinking of hosting 2 of these a year. Once in the spring (maybe?) to go and actually SEE the zoo (no suits) and once at halloween.. to just have fun in suit.

Also -- there's a tiny chance we might be on an obscure TV segment. I figured out it will likely be on chicago comcast channel 100. Once to twice an hour they play a 5 minute 'segment' at wierd times On the :54 and sometimes :24. It plays all week long on a loop along with several other segments. I tried finding it and found that they're currently playing interviews with local politicians and one segment on how seniors can safegard themselves from scams. I'm guessing tonight or tomorrow they will be begin a 5 minute segment on "chicagoland halloween events"

I think journals on FA-- should be used for FA content.

Talking about posts
Listing commissions and advertising auctions
discussing Art.. and so forth.

Since you can't browse your watching journals in a reader format -- you have to click on each journal.. I certainly read only 1 out of 30 journals at best, primarily scanning at topic and people.

Do you expect that many people to click on your meme or random post? It just doesn't seem like a correct means of communication.
