Hey friends 👋 I'm still here & kicking! Just wanted to post a small update for the time being.

♡ My kitty Hazelnut is doing much better! Had to change his food & I've been keeping a closer eye on him & his brother. The new food they eat is more expensive :' ) but if it helps them, I'll suck it up haha. Luckily they've both adjusted to it quickly! Eagerly, even. Happy they aren't picky eaters.

♡ I still have some cons I have to do this year! So you're gonna see me post stuff related to merch in the upcoming weeks! Most will be available for preorder if you're interested! These funds will help with production costs so it's super appreciated!

I don’t mean to open comms continuously, genuinely, it’s just been bad luck after bad luck lol. I haven’t financially recovered from my partners spotty employment since 2022 & both his & my cat’s medical issues have completely thrown me off course 🥲 I know care credit & scratch pay are options but I just BARELY qualify for those so atm I’m trying to just get the proper prescriptions I need to make his QOL much easier.

Literally anything is welcomed. I could genuinely use the help. I’ve been crying over my little guy on & off for days now.

Despite responding & doing really well the last couple of weeks, my cat Hazelnut is suddenly having urinary issues again. He was completely healthy & normal last night & early this morning. I don't know what happened, but I feel so bad that it did.

This is completely unexpected & idk how much it'll be, but any support for him would be super appreciated. He's barely 2 years old. The vet tech said it sounds like he's not completely out of the woods yet in terms of recovery, but I hope it's not more serious.

tl;dr my 2 year old cat Hazelnut was peeing some blood earlier today. The good news is that it's not as bad as it could've been. The kinda eh news is that there is some blockage in his bladder. Not sure what caused it really? It's all a blur tbh cause this is my first time going through all of this. I've been crying on & off all afternoon.

While there is blockage in his bladder, it's so small that they almost kinda missed it. Thankfully they didn't have to keep him overnight. I was just given a prescription & some special food for situations like this. I think they basically said male cats are prone to issues like this. It could be from stress, or their food, or just because I believe? But it's hard to fully remember cause everything after seeing them weigh him is a blur mostly.

TL;DR if you follow me on Twitter, you'll notice that I haven't really posted anything on there in what feels like a year now? or close to it lmao. Like yeah irl stuff kinda got in the way & sucked up any & all energy I had, but it's mostly cause I'm so shadowbanned that you can't even find me unless you go through a reply someone made towards me.

I'm currently self employed; I rely on art to kinda boost my business & support myself, my boyfriend, & my 2 cats. It feels almost impossible to do that if my Twitter account is pretty much out of sight & out of mind. It's demoralizing & annoying. Idk anyone else that has this type of ban personally? AFAIK there's no way to fix it unless I just make a completely new account. I've lamented coming to that conclusion since 2020, but I'm at a point where this might not be an option anymore. I hate how draining Twitter is now for numerous reasons, I do my best to not hang around too long cause it does affect my mental health. But I also really need to get back on track & continue boosting sales & such. If I want to further my art career (which I've been wanting to do for years now), I can't afford to be hidden behind shadowban after shadowban. I don't wanna say that exposure (or lack there of) affects my drive to post, but it does when money is involved & only a small percentage of people see my posts.

The plan is to transfer my username to a new account, message clients on warning them about the move, & go from there. But it feels easier said than done lol.

Has anyone ever dealt with this type of issue? do you agree that I should just remake stuff from the ground up?

TL;DR my iPad was stolen in April 2023 by a TSA agent or something when I was in the middle of travelling home from Seattle to Chicago. I didn't realize until I got back & any efforts to get it back were a complete bust. They hung up on me twice & insisted that they had no idea what I was talking about :' )

I set up a Kofi drive thing to help me get another one! I'm currently looking for employment elsewhere cause LMAO RETAIL but in the meantime this will help me draw more. I MISS YOU GUYS SO MUCH I am so sorry I've been MIA since like last year lol. I still exist :' ) I'm not completely gone.

Lot's has happened the last several months. I'm still drawing just a lot slower than usual. I've just been very burnt out lately due to mental stuff & just other IRL factors like my partner getting very sick & being unemployed. It's been very shaky ground.

I'm still doing conventions! I'm doing my best to update my portfolio cause it's good to keep things fresh.

I'm trying to see if I can get another job outside of retail cause that completely robbed me dry. But I guess if I have to, I'll go right back to it. My last retail job cut my hours abysmally the last 2-3 weeks & it's just not feasible. Even at part time, a check being like $300 or so every 2 weeks is nonsensical imo. I was told to "give it a month & everything will be ok" but there's no way. Not to mention I feel like I got unnecessary static & passive aggressiveness from my managers. I know I'm silly sometimes, but I got no sympathy over things like:

- Going to work with a 102F fever
- Wanting to go on break b/c my meds made me feel like trash
- Given opening shift without any proper introduction last minute.

Right now I'm trying to expand my horizon. I would really love a job in the art industry, but I'm also just looking outside of retail atm. I figured I qualified since I've sold things before in real life events but it took a massive toll on my mental health. I thought I was built for it, but I guess not. The customers (for the most part) were very nice & chill! It was mostly management that made me feel like a worthless piece of trash.

If anyone has any leads on jobs that deal with product or character design that's hiring, let me know! Otherwise, I'll continue to do my best to find something on my end so I can propely get back into art like how I used to.

I guess with everything happening everywhere, it kinda kills most of my motivation. I feel like I'm seeing more & more people say the same about their own art output & it's sad : (
