My buddy
ignitus is working as an independent director to produce a murder-mystery mini series. What makes this even more special is that he uses fur suiters as actors. His first film called "Mascot fur life" was very entertaining and fun to watch. You can find it on Youtube with English subtitles.
His new series, "Wolfgang Doe", is still in pre-production. To get it made, it needs a budget of around 7.000 Euros. So far, ignitus is already halfway there, but he needs more supporters.
All I'm asking you is to check out this project and if you like it, maybe donate a small sum to make it happen.

Australia recently held a poll about legalizing same-sex marriage. Voters could participate through mail.
Voter turnout was 79.5 % with 61.6 % voting FOR the legalization of SSM.
The vote is not legally binding, but hopefully the Australian government will consider the voice of the people and bring some proper legislation on the way now :3
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for all Australian gays out there!

Post EF 23 - Con Report
Posted 8 years agoSoooo.... Eurofurence 23 has been over for a few days and I had my first day at work again today. Now it's time to gather my thoughts about the con.
It. Was. AWESOME!
Seriously, best con I've been to so far. It might have something to do that I had a whole new con experience because I was fursuitung for the first time. It is a great feeling to put on that suit and head down to mingle with people ^.^
But I better start from the beginning.
dreamandnightmare and I arrived in Tuesday, one day before the con starts. We originally had planned to start at 11 am and get to the con hotel by 2 pm. Unfortunately, there was a major traffic jam on our way to Berlin, the autobahn was closed in both directions. It took us 4 1/2 hours to get through the traffic jam and onto the road again x.x
By the time we got to the hotel it was 6:25 pm and the con registration had already closed. Oh well, at least we could check in to our room and put our stuff away. That night we went to dinner with
aotora and a few of his friends. The food was good but the service was lousy.
On Wednesday we were ready for the con to start. After waiting in line for about an hour and a half we got our con badges and picked up our fursuit badges as well. Weeeee! ^.^
Our "cat group" was finally together again: Night, me,
cirez, 
lunatik, 
wuschelwolf and 
mahingan.
blackymoon joined us as well - he is such a cute and adorable otter! <3 I'm happy I got to spend more time with him than last year when we only briefly met during the con :3
Night was very excited to see the banner he donated to EF this year. It was huge and greeted us at the entrance to the main con area! He uploaded the digital version here.
I was very excited to fursuit for the first time. True to my character, I only have a partial but I did the best with it. A nice black suit, white shirt and red tie made me look like a real business tiger. I was so thrilled when two different people compared me to Shere Khan from Talespin <3 <3 <3
It took a while getting used to the heat inside the head, even though my fursuit maker
easyday- built in a fan. But it was awesome to walk around the hotel with Night and to join the fursuit parade on Thursday.
Thursday was also the day that our friends
lyk and Rizzo came to visit the con for a day. Unfortunately they had to wait in line a lot and didn't get to see "Enter the Arena" due to time reasons :-/ But we made sure they had fun anyway and I think they did ^.^
I'm also happy that I ran into
fnr on Wednesday morning and he joined us for breakfast. It was the first time he visited a furry con and right from the start a few friends of his who were staff members recruited him to help around the con. So at least he was able to keep busy x3 We ran into each other several times and he is a wonderfully nice and friendly guy :3
Another highlight was Night's panel on Friday - "From Lines to Finish", demonstrating his whole drawing process for a picture he drew for the charity this year. You can find the pic and a link to the timelapse video here. About 80 people showed up to listen to him and ask questions and he handled it perfectly. I was so proud of him <3
On Saturday, Night's mom and a friend of him came to visit and we all got a backstage tour through the con lead by the chief of security
dhary - that was really swell of him and a very interesting experience to look "behind the scenes" :3
We were all kinda sad and depressed on Sunday because so many people already had to leave, including Cirez and Blacky
The only upside was the "Dead Dog Party" that evening with good music and a great atmosphere.
Night and I were skeptical if we would be able to attend EF next year, because we also have some other travels planned for 2018, but after all the fun we had, the great people we met and the fursuiting experience, we've already decided that we will attend EF24 as well :3
If it were up to me, they could hold the next EF in a week again x3

Germany legalizes Gay Marriage
Posted 8 years agoToday has been a great day for marriage equality. The Germany parliament passed a bill with 393 to 226 votes that legalizes same-sex marriage. The bill will go into effect in September.
Even though Chancellor Angela Merkel voted against it, roundabout 75 members of her own party, the Christian Democratic Union - who play the role of conservatives in German politics - voted for the bill.
Better late than never: Germany is now the 23rd country in the world that grants marriage rights equally to heterosexual and homosexual couples. I'm disappointed that it took us longer than Catholic countries like Spain, Ireland or Argentina. Heck, even South Africa was faster.
Some conservatives want to challenge the bill in the German Supreme Court now, saying it violates Article 6 of the Grundgesetz - the German constitution - which grants special federal protection to the "institutions of marriage and family". While I admit that it is a bit of an uncertainty how the court will decide, I don't think they'll overturn the bill. It would be scandalous if the German Supreme Court overthrow same-sex marriage legalization whilst in many other countries it were the courts that made it possible in the first place.

Original Beast is still the bigger beauty
Posted 8 years agoSo far, from what I've gathered on the internet, people seem to be very excited about the real life remake of Dosney's "Beauty and the Beast" - even though apparently the movie just retells the story in exact the same way and doesn't add anything new. Well, I won't judge that part, for now, since I haven't seen the movie yet.

Posted 9 years agoWell, over here the new year is now officially one day old, so I thought I'd use the chance to wish you folks a Happy New Year here like so many other people have done before.
I know that a lot of people were like "Good riddance, 2016" yesterday and while I agree that the year had its downsides - what with all the celebrities dying and shit going on like Aleppo, Brexit or Trump - for me personally a lot of good stuff happened.
I finished my apprenticeship and am a full-fledged newspaper editor now. My work contract got renewed indefinitely. I had a blast at EF, my very first European furry con. I got to meet a lot of great new people that I've come to like and love over the past 12 months.
And of course the biggest perk is that I met my wonderful boyfriend, super-lovely fellow tiger and awesome artist dreamandnightmare <3 <3 <3
I'm looking forward to many more wonderful years with him and we had a great time spending the last few days together :3
Now I'm looking forward to 2017 to earn a little bit more money, maybe being able to buy some upgrades for the computer this year, of course going to EF again and saving up for another trip to the US.
I hope the new year will bring a lot of good stuff and fortune for all you great people on FA as well.

EF post-con report
Posted 9 years agoIt is now one week after EF22 ended, and I'm a little late with my post-con report... sorry for that ^.^;;
To keep it short: I had a blast! :3
This was the first time I went to a European con, interestingly enough, and was so great to see many people I'd only known online before :D
Special shout-outs go to cirez, 
teren, lunatik, wuschelwolf, mahingan and 
teuclase for being such a fun group. It was wonderful so meet you guys in person and hang out with you a lot. You really made that a con to remember :3
The biggest excitement had to be dreamandnightmare's new fursuit: he looked so adorable in it! Go to his gallery to see photos of it, I took a lot with my camera :D
It was awesome to witness him get into the fursuit for the first time and I really enjoyed accompanying my lovely tiger whenever he went out for a walk through the hotel. I even got to wear the suit myself for about 30 minutes, I went downstairs with a partial: head, paws, tail and feet. You don't really see much in those things, I have a newfound respect for fursuiters after the experience. x3
Unfortunately I was struck by some sort of bug for the last two days of the con and needed a few hours of rest in Tiger's and my hotel room, so I probably missed a few things, but that got balanced out by bidding and winning on three great tiger pictures from the Art Show, which are now hanging in my bedroom and computer room respectively. ^.^
So yeah, EF22 was a great experience for me and I'll gladly come back next year!

Warcraft is pecalicious! (No spoilers)
Posted 9 years agoSo, dreamandnightmare and I went to see the Warcraft movie with a non-furry friend of his yesterday, and we found it to be a lot of fun :3
Of course, our main motivation was to see some beefy hot orcs with bouncy pecs in action and we were not disappointed.
*swoon*
I won't go into story details to avoid spoilers, but I was surprised how closely the stuck to the source material. There were lots of familiar characters (both Horde and Alliance) running around and for anyone who has played not only World of Warcraft, but also Warcraft I to III, you kinda knew exactly what was going to happen, but they managed to pull it off extremely well
Anybody who never played any of the games would probably have been lost, I have to say.
The special effects were gorgeous! The places were designed to closely resemble their counterpieces in World of Warcraft. Especially Alliance players probably got a lot of "Awww" moments.
Oh, and most importantly - coming back to my original point - the orcs were hot!
D&N and I are both so very grateful that Warhammer and the Warcraft franchise changed the orcs' design from the Tolkien-esque small, ugly imps to the big, hunky brutish greenskins
We both soooo would love to get dominated by Durotan... that sexy chief! Or spitroast him, wouldn't mind that either

Posted 9 years agoOooooo, now that FA is out of read-only mode, all of a sudden the usual "I'll leave the site, you can find me elsewhere" journals are showing up again.
Yeah yeah, cry me a river. They will all be back again soon, because FA is by far the largest art site with the most users.
I don't know why people complain in the first place. With FA it's the same thing as with Facebook: the largest site will also gain the most attention from destructive elements like hackers. Except FA doesn't have a billion dollar company like FB or Google behind it.
So yeah, thanks to the FA staff for working hard on those problems and it's good to have the site back, guys! :3

Last week dreamandnightmare and I went to see Zootopia for the... fourth (4th!) time. So it's like, ever since the movie came out we've seen it every two weeks xD
And it was still as fun as the first time!
And last time we got so see it in 4D. Which practically just means they add some "special effects" like blinking lights, flashes, artificial fog, gushes of wind and some light water sprinkles. To be fair, they were very stingy with that. I had a quite a few moments when I expected them to add an effect and it didn't come. So... meh! x3
Still a great movie, though, and I decided that it pushed "The Lion King" off the #1 spot on my Favorite Movie List :-D

Posted 9 years ago dreamandnightmare and I went to see Zootopia tonight, and......well, we were blown away!
The animation was gorgeous, the characters were interesting and loveable, the story - while not completely original - was well written (a few scenes even gave me goosebumps) with a twist that wasn't so easy to predict. I couldn't find a single joke that wasn't funny and many of them worked so perfectly for adults that I had some moments thinking: "Wait, Disney's target audience are still kids, right?"
Anyone who's seen the trailer already knows about the shoutout to the "Godfather", but there were other smaller ones as well. I particularly enjoyed one to "Breaking Bad", a show I really loved.
I'm not gonna spoiler anything, so I won't get into more details about the plot. My advice to anyone who hasn't seen the movie yet: GO WATCH IT!
It's like a Disney tribute to furries. Seriously!

And Mad Max got all the "smaller" Oscars like make-up, sound mixing, etc? Alright, I guess there really haven't been any other visually impressive movies last year...
But they made a journalism drama the best movie. Don't tell me that wasn't a political decision... again! *rolls his eyes*
