I am happy to finally announce that the translation of chapter 2 of "The Singari Civil War" is finally complete. ^.^
My beta-reader is looking it over now and I hope to publish it within the next couple days.
Then you'll finally be able to find out what's going to happen to Turi and his men
But before that, I want to start a poll:
In which format should I post it here on FA?

We have musclefurs, gayfurries, straightfurries, hermfurries, chocolatefurs and not to mention all those different countryfurs or even statefurs... but no hybrids!
Well, that is going to change now: Hybridfurs is the new group for all you ligers, wolions drakebears or whatever you are!
It's a brand-new group, so of course its ranks have yet to increase... so go there, join and participate!
The group was initiated by
neonoae and I think it's a pretty dandy idea.
P.S.: Hybrid-lovers are welcome too, of course!

Posted 15 years agoThe fourth and last of my journal entries about the FIFA World Cup 2010.
Spain just beat the Netherlands 1-0 a.e.t.
It was a bad, unfair match with many, many yellow cards, terrible passing, wrong ref decisions and missed chances to make a goal. I was rooting for the Netherlands before the game started, but during the second half I wished neither of those two teams would become world champion. Unfortunately, that wasn't an option.
So yeah, Spain won... bleh.
Anyway, South Africa was a great host for the tournament. Thank you, South Africa, you did a very good job! :)
And now we're looking forward to the WC in Brazil 2014.
(Btw, Germany won vs Uruguay 3-2 yesterday and is now ranked 3rd.)

Posted 15 years agoA sad night for soccermania country... Spain beat Germany 1-0 in the World Cup semi-finals.
It was a good game and the Spaniards were definitely the better team this time.
They deserve their victory.

Cuz we're going to the semi-finals and you're going home! What a fantastic match!
4-0 for Germany! It was exciting! WOOO!!

But I was also focused on other thoughts during the last 10 minutes of the game:
What species would be best-suited for the different positions in a soccer match? Kinda like what Kyell Gold did in his novel "Out of Position". Do you put the bigger, bulkier species like tigers and bears in defense? Quick and agile foxes on the flanks? Maybe wolfs in centerfield and of course horses as attackers. Just an idea, I'm open for different suggestions.
Or maybe you've got a single species representing each different team? So let's say you have Germany vs. Spain, would that be tigers or wolves versus lynxes?
(And DON'T suggest German shepherds! I WILL bite you for that!)
Any artists out there who might want to draw that? XD

We've reached 33 degrees here where I live (that's about 92° F for all American folks) and it's not like I couldn't stand that... I was in California a few weeks ago, after all. The difference is just that all the houses there had air conditioners to maintain a moderate temperature inside... I'm missing that right now. -.-

Posted 15 years agoJust watched the game Uruguay vs. Ghana. What an exciting finale! Shame that Ghana lost, though.
But the thing that caught my attention during the game was actually a piece of clothing:
Is it just me or do Ghana's players wear the tightest shirts of all World Cup teams?
I saw some well outlined pecs there... and was hoping for them to take them off when the game was over, but unfortunately they didn't because they lost. :(

Who says furries aren't politically interested?
Posted 15 years agoI just got back from a demonstration of 14,000 students and employees of 3 different state universities, who marched through downtown Kiel (state capital of the German state of Schleswig-Holstein) to the building of the state parliament to protest against the government's savings plan concerning the universities.
Now who says that furries in general are not interested in politics? Though to be fair, I didn't spot any other local furries in the crowd, so I might've been the only one.
But still... ^.^
On a different note:
