See that? Imagine if one cowboy was male the other female... It would just be a romance film. You got suckered in to watching a romance film. sensationalized by the fact that the love was between 2 men rather than man and woman,

Romance films are boring be they hetero, homo or bestiality.

I am facing a world, much like the noted scientists of the early 20th century, one where everything that seemed to make sense before has completely been thrown into chaos, and this new concept of a world that seems to be counter-intuitive has come into being. Like a conservative scientist trying to fight the principles of the quantum theory, I am starting to realise that I to need to just come and accept the world for what it turns out to be, not what I held out to be correct for all these years. Its not an easy concept, and will take every ounce of effort I have to believe it was correct over the seemingly intuitive world I knew before, but if Quantum theory could be introduced to the masses and accepted, I guess I can accept the new world.

Part of this new world has been created by miscommunication, and I probably only have myself to blame, I face choices where I could either relieve the burdens upon myself a little by betraying some of my own statements, or just let things be. I have also attempted testing incorrect hypothesis, attempted going about things in the classical way, which have further increased this miscommunication and spun me further out of touch with the workings of the new world.

Through this change I have seen the worst of myself and the best of other people, and I need to give sincere apologies to all I've hurt throughout this transition into the new world, however I do wish to note and although this is little excuse for my actions, it hasn't been easy for me either.

Most people channel their feelings or thoughts into art, me, a nice scientific thesis will suffice. That's all I can think to say for now. Welcome New world I hated you at first, but im interested to see what kind of changes and new experiences you will give me.

This feels nice and out of the way enough that I can sneak a small rant in without the people involved noticing... Not that I want to do anything behind their back or anything, id just prefer if they didn't read most of this. Yet I feel that it is important to get most of this out there to help the process of moving on.

It was only when I lost the opportunity with someone I loved that I realised what I had really lost.


For 20 years of my life I had figured I was asexual. Until I met this one person... It was then I realised I wasn't asexual, I was just waiting for the right person to give my heart to. She was the only person in the world I would have given my heart to, but she gave hers to someone else.

Its just not fair sometimes, you think you do everything right. She was perfect in every way, but alas I guess it was just not meant to be. 1.5 years of effort wasted.

The last 2 months have been some of the worst I've faced. I had never felt a connection with anyone like I did this person, they meant everything to me. I truly learned what it felt to go through heartbreak, what it felt like to die inside.

In these 2 months, i've seen the worst of myself, yet ive also seen the best of others. I would especially like to thank Shadowpelt, Oddisness and Darkdeamoness for listening and being there when I needed something to talk to.

The worst of it is definitely over though, and I can only start at looking at moving on and rebuilding myself.. Its hard at times, i've lost one of my greatest inspirations in life.

Its a bitch sometimes, but if you don't go for what you want in life, you will never get it... Theres no invisible force out there that says "You want it or deserve it more so you can have it.".. and sometimes there is nothing you can do about it from the start, it was always going to be that they would like that type of person.

There will probably always be a place for her in my heart, but I know now we can never be. The best thing to do is move on. One thing I have learned is that perfection is not constant... It can come in many forms, so there has to be someone else out there, that I would be willing to give my heart out to.

Even if she was 1 in a billion, that leaves at least 6 more like her in the world.

Its been a while since I made a journal in which I posted anything serious, for the most part if I've made a journal its had some silly rubbish in it XD

Anyway I started my last year of full time study earlier on this year, and im liking the classes I have (Except for that damn infernal maths). Operating Systems and computer graphics are quite interesting subjects, Especially working with Open GL and minix. We recieved the source code to the windows research kernel, which is essentially the windows 2003 kernel revamped for study and research use. I have also been introduced to open source development, with my studies with Minix and Linux.

Open Gl is quite fun and I hope to produce some good projects, once I can stop being lazy and actually get to work on it. I also became IT officer for the Macquarie United Nations Society, and have built the website for it ( http://www.mqunsociety.com/ ) (best viewed in firefox.)

My grades are doing better than usual at this point, which is a good sign, even though I've been feeling quite distracted by something lately... However these sorts of distractions are just emotions, and I try to endeavour never to let emotions get in the way of progress.

I bought 3 old Dell C610 laptops for $120, And am finding various uses for them (Mostly comps to screw around with, since if I screw one up it hardly matters).

I might attend this Big DA meet thing thats being held in Sydney on Wednesday... that's if I can be bothered, ill see if I feel like it on the day.

Is whining and complaining about how much you hate valentines day...


Yes it is a 'consumer festival' as I've seen it phrased.... These days, Christmas and Easter are also about consumerism, even though, they had religious backgrounds, whereas Valentines day was strictly corporate founded, They are full of commercialism.. This can be seen in the gifts chocolates, etc, a large part of Christmas seems to be about the spending however It seems people have no problems enjoying that day.


And I'm well aware that the target demographic of valentines day is the couples and promoting the happiness of couples, and you may have been single for (insert how many years here) but does this mean that you hate other days where you may not be the target demographic, such as Fathers Day or Mothers Day? Besides if you think its pointless due to corporate issues, it should be a day in which your happy you kept your money rather then spent it on doing something extra special on this day.


I'm also well aware that you may feel its pointless to show your emotion and appreciation for a person on a single day, rather then all the time... While that may be true, essentially thats what Mothers or Fathers day is about, Some people do not make that effort to let the one they care about know their feelings everyday, this however is a day etched in peoples minds, it serves as a reminder to show your feelings on this day.


The way I look at it, today, Valentines day may be for the lovers .... But every other day is for me, and having said that I would like to congratulate all couples who choose either to or choose not to celebrate Valentines day and wish you a happy valentines day, and all the single studs out there much luck in engaging future romances. It may not be a perfect reason for a special day, but that doesn't mean I gotta bring it down for all the people who want to enjoy it.
