Posted 8 years agohey guys so I'm like 3 days from heading to Alaska for 4 months. I'm...both excited and incredibly nervous. I know i'll do fine but I just hope I won't fuck up enough that they hate me lol
the reason for all the baking rn is cause i've been at home for 1 1/2 weeks and i needed to make sure the recipes I wanted to take with me to Alaska I could make so this is me practicing also I've missed baking for pleasure rather than work. it's been very cathartic and calming for me.
also I have an instagram where i post all my food and random other pics if you wanna follow me there. I'll post more pics of Alaska there than anywhere else so there's that. Link

I haven't been around here much but that's not unusual news. BUT i wanted to share with you this FANTASTIC FUCKING NEWS cause i love all of you.
I have been offered and accepted a head baker position IN ALASKA!! at a lodge in a national park in FREAKING ALASKA!!

Posted 9 years agoSo this is me officially saying I'm back in the pleasure baking game! And by pleasure I mean my pleasure!
Little update to my life. So I got a promotion/raise at my job I'm now official "assistant baker" and now I'm only baking switching between the breads/pastries and cakes. So that's so much fun! I have to go into work at 4am now so YAY FOR THAT! no seriously yay this is my dream. Although my hours shorted a little bit because of how quickly we work in the morning I'm getting more days at work now so hopefully that'll kind of even out. exciting!
Also I have legit awesome friends in Chicago now! Who actually wanna hang out with me! We all congregate at the comic book store one of them works at and they decided that they've had enough of me only taking about baking (and bringing them snacks) that they wanna try doing it! So we're gonna have bi-weekly PokeBake mondays! cause we all have it off. Today was the first one and they came to my place we made scones then while we waited for them to cook we went to Belmont Harbor (20 min walk) to catch pokemon! cause we're all nerds. we were out there for about 1 1/2 hours which was amazing. i caught a dratini AND a slowbro! So look forward to every other week a baked good popping up!
Also a little note on an even more personal note of my life. I've been seriously depressed for like 3 months. This last month has been the worst I've ever felt in a very very long time. To the point where I didn't talk to any of my friends that I didn't have to see face to face. It was/still is a very hard time for me. But honestly Pokemon Go is really helping me. It makes me happier just finding a pokemon that I enjoy. I'm talking to people again, people I don't know when we all meet at a lure. And now PokeBake mondays are happening. And... I think this is the happiest I've been since I moved to Chicago. Which is saying something big.

Posted 9 years agoMan idk if this is my depression talking or my practically non-exsistant self-esteem but like I've been noticing more and more lately people zoning out whenever I talk. Even if they asked me a fucking question. Like I make it a point to listen to everything someone says when they're talking to me because I know how disheartening it is to be speaking and to watch the person get disinterested in what you're saying or just zone out completely. Like is it that hard to listen to someone talk??? Am I that fucking annoying that you can't even make it through 1 minute of me speaking at all? Maybe I should stop talking to people all together. Clearly no one would fucking miss it.

but like... it really sucks. 2 like don't ever talk to me. 1 lives on the other side of the planet so i barely get to talk to them.
its just like... :/ no one cares about anything i do. and idk that kind of hurts i guess.
I like to post my feelings on here or tumblr cause I know literally no one reads them.

Posted 10 years agoIt has been a good long while guys. I'm pretty much not active on here anymore except for just looking at the stuff in my inbox. I know I've said this like 9billion times but I'm way more active on tumblr, twitter, i'll even add CERTAIN people on facebook. I just don't really care for this site anymore. It doesn't hold any interest for me now that I can't afford to get comms, buy adopts, etc. Sorry for this :/ I know it sucks considering I JUST MADE THIS ACCOUNT with my preferred name but -shrugs- what can you do? I still check this site at least 2x a day so it's not like I'm never here I just don't do anything on it.

But it's in a bakery!!
So it's like extra awesome for me!
So far I'm going to be working on cake building and sammich station. Only 2 days this week but hey man that's all I really need for now. She can up the days once I get into the swing of things.
I'M JUST EXCITED I HAVE A FUCKING JOB!!
Hopefully working at a bakery will open up sooo many more job opportunities for me when I decide to leave chicago. If I really like this job I might stay in this city another year. But if I find out what I want to do in baking I may leave and go to Portland like I want. I'm gonna end up in Portland at some point let's just say that. I've decided. Portland, Oregon is my next destination.
It's good for me to have a next step in life so I can work towards and plan towards and for it and around and stuff.

and that was just random characters with minimum art.
Tomorrow I'll start doing my main characters. I may stretch that out because there's a lot of art attached to some of them and I'm going to submit it all cause i want it all on here.
also i think i'm going to clean out MissAme and use it as a baking blog instead. so if you want to watch me for baking go watch that and it'll change in time to just recipes and junk
