New Year's Resolution (but it's april)
Posted 4 years agoI haven't really been interacting with people on here all that much and I want to change that because I really do like seeing you guys here. I'm going to start responding to comments and stuff and maybe even do gifts if I feel like I can. I want to let you all know how much I appreciate you guys being here and start supporting other people who I think are cool.
TL;DR: I'm gonna stop acting like this account doesn't mean anything and overcome my social anxiety. If you leave a comment here I will respond to it (unless it's something mean) so I can practice interacting more with people.

The way I operate with art
Posted 4 years agoSo I noticed I haven't posted in like 2 weeks and I guess I should explain why.
I'm busy with finals and stuff right now, but I've also kinda hit a block with a story I was writing that went along with a piece of art I did (but haven't posted).
The way my brain works with stuff like art and writing (and also music, I do that as well) is that I can focus on one of those three for a few weeks at a time, then my brain needs to recharge on that, so I've expended all my Good Story Energy™ and I'll need a break from writing stories for a bit.
Luckily though, my art brain is back, so once I'm not so busy I'll post new finished art (and finish the unfinished stuff I already have up).
Trying not to be super depressing, so have a great day!

Burnout and how it will affect things here
Posted 4 years agoI've been struggling with burnout for a little while and it's been making it difficult to keep with both drawing regularly and my college coursework, so I've decided for the time being that instead of uploading art when its fully finished (colored, shaded, background done, etc.) I'm just going to upload basic sketches and finish them later on when I'm feeling a bit better. This should help me catch up on my work for classes while allowing me to continue engaging with the community here, especially since I won't be spending a few hours every day working on a drawing.
Hopefully I can get back to working at my normal capacity soon, and if any of you have suggestions for helping me out, feel free to leave a comment on this journal.
