Posted 10 years agoHey everyone! So its almost that time!! I will be opening for ONE slot on December 1st and ONE slot on January 1st. The reason I am taking so few is to have a faster turn around time and so I can also my suits to auction! The next planned date to open is April 1st and that will be for TWO slots.
Here are some things to prepare and to help your chances of being chosen:
1.Clear reference sheet. Its a lot better to have your character reference showing the actual 'character' of your animal as blank references with blank faces are not very appealing and I do take into account the expression and vibe your character puts off. So sending me a ref that is supposed to already look like a fursuit is not a good representation of your character.
Though when I say that I don't mean, send me crazy markings that aren't simple, I just mean draw your character with some expression! :)
2. Have the payment ready! I will likely choose someone who is ready to pay upfront as the turn around time is rather quick and I don't want to be waiting for payments. My general prices range from $2800-$4500 But that is JUST a general price. If the character is crazy or complex it could be more. I take paypal only.
3.18+ only!! Im sorry but I just don't feel comfortable working with minors. Its possible in the future I might if I get parents permission, but there is also the fact that you will grow so its really just better to wait until you are 18.
4. Be open to suggestions. Sometimes I really like a character but there are just some things that just won't work well on a suit. I have been doing this for years so you should trust my artistic judgement!
That being said, at this time I am really diggin the 2-D eyes. So I will be more willing to accept someone who wants them rather than follow-me.
5. Artistic freedom at this time will be off limits to submit! I will be making suits to auction off with the body to be made to fit the winner so that is basically artistic freedom right there.

If you do great! Here's the deal, I want to update the AutumnFallings website. However, I need more photos and potentially videos of AutumnFallings suits. If you want to help out and submit photos (maybe videos, but photos mostly needed) of your suit that would be greatly appreciated. THERE is a catch. These photos must be taken by you, your relative, or somebody you know who has given you permission to share the photos to us to use. Even though you might have great pictures to share, if you don't have permission to share them with us, we can't use them. So if you have photos or video you can share with us to potentially use on the website what you can do is upload them to a dropbox. www.dropbox.com Then you can contact Havik via note with your dropbox link of photos we can use. will be added to the team here to help me catch up on suit work. Its hard to keep up with everything that has been going on, so they will be a great help!
That being said, we are still on schedule to open January 1st 2016 for commissions! I will only be taking 2 commissions when I open, so make your submissions count! The plan is to take 2 commissions, and make 2 suits designed by me to auction in the same time frame. So once you are accepted there will be a wait of about 2-3 months. This is a GREAT turn around time and Im sure will make many people happy.
Though because of the fast turn around time, I will need payments to be made in full, or paid off within 2 weeks of taking the commission. If you plan to do the 2 week payments, then I will need a 30% non-refundable downpayment. However I will say that your chances of being chosen will be higher if you can pay it down in full right away. I will not be giving out quote unless you are chosen as my prices change a lot, especially with material prices rising.

There is no need to hate on someone else even if their style is inspired by mine. We are all here to be animals and have a good time. It hurts me to see new makers shot down because people think their "style" is too close to mine?
Even if it were the case, do not take it upon yourself to yell at the person or tell them what they can and can't do. The only one who should be concerned is me, and in several situations already I have had no issue with the maker or their work.
People take inspiration from others alllll the time. Not just in suit making but art and in life! This is not a crime. As long as you take that inspiration and make something of it, add your own twist! Experiment. Whats the fun of copying when you can make something new and exciting out of it :)
If you are so extremely concerned about someones work being like mine, just let me know privately and I will handle the situation. In most cases I am totally cool with it and there is nothing to be upset about.

Posted 10 years agoIm looking to get people who are interested in doing a custom run of black Flokati fur! Its similar to the good black monkey shag in a sense that the fibers are straight and it is nice and longgg (3-4 inches) and flowy :)

Emails and Questions!
Posted 10 years agoI haven't been very good about answering emails. That being said please read my website and FA before emailing me. Most of the time I won't answer if the answer is on my website or FA.
I will make a better effort to answer emails from here on out. Also I've been having a lot of people ask when I am opening for commissions and if I take part commissions or just head commissions.
There is no set date I am opening for commissions. By the looks of it, it wont be until sometime next year. I will however be doing a lot of projects for auction! Including some collaborations with other makers! Every so often I take parts commissions but its not a scheduled thing. You basically just have to keep your eyes open for when I post about it.
I still have a list of 6 commissions to finish and then after that I will be working on some past customer fixes/upgrades. Once all of that is done, I will be making premades and collabs until the end of the year ;)
Please remember that my goal for the future is to make more suits to auction than commissions. So there will be very limited spots but I am not stopping commissions or anything, just taking less.
Again thank you all for the support and interest in my work! You people are what keeps me going! <3 Thank you

The plan is to take one or two commission at a time so I can still make suits on my own as often as I please without getting burnt out on commissions.
This will also help to speed up the wait time for commissions customers. But the next time I open wont be for at LEAST 6 months. So I hope that clears up everyones questions!
The next suit to auction will be made after FWA and I think I will be making a fox ;)

Update about premades and commissions
Posted 11 years agoI decided to keep premades as just that. It will be less stressfull for me to make it before selling it. Plus then the buyer sees exactly what they are getting so I know they will like it and it will give more people a fair chance at bidding
Also I accepted 3 commissions and will be getting those sorted out very soon so stay patient :)
Now as for the premades, I would really like to start making those come next year so there is a chance I will be making them in between commissions. More updates on that to come.
Thank you everyone who is interested in my work!! It still amazes me that I am here and making suits for a living. Keeps me very happy and its all thanks to you guys :))

To answer everyone and keep the flow of emails down a little, I plan to open for A FEW commissions late 2015. I want to make pre-mades in between each commission so I will be taking less.
I need to update my prices and put them on the website, so it wouldn't do much to ask me how much everything costs right now, sorry! Check back in 2015 for that!

I will be doing this on Monday to give anyone who already is able to pay their suit off but just hasn't, a chance to do so.
This is the way I find most fair. It will also keep my list moving in a timely fashion since I wont have to be waiting on anyone.
Its only fair to put the ones paid off above the ones not, so no one is waiting on others.
