I really want to try and get my spark back for art so I'm hoping this will help! I dunno how often I'll keep up with it but I'll do my best~ I'll see about cross-posting here again, too. ;w;

I'm going to be vulnerable with you guys: I truly feel like I've lost my ability to draw and all my progress went out the window so I got a lot of catching up to do. My sister and I lived in a toxic living situation for 2 years which completely undid all the progress I had made with my mental health and had made me too depressed and anxious to draw. It's been a hell of a time but I moved back home 3 years ago this April and have been working on healing. I just started therapy up again and it's been doing wonders for my soul. I can't wait to see how far I've come a year from now. I just gotta dip my toes into drawing frequently again no matter how intimidating it may seem and focus on my art and things that make me happy.

Lastly, if anyone would like to donate to my ko-fi, extra funds are much appreciated right now. I have been trying to find a new job as my workplace had budget cuts and reduced so many peoples hours so it's been rough trying to stay afloat. 2017 was an incredibly tough year for me but beginning a new chapter in 2018 is a breath of fresh air. I'm so ready!

I've been very introspective lately doing a lot of soul searching. This year is going to be the year where I grow and flourish the most. I want to surround myself with happiness and those who inspire me and help me grow. I've got a lot of goals that I'm going to be working on and I'm going to do my best~ 💕

Some art goals~!

- Continue experimenting and trying new techniques
- Lots of studies
- Start a new sketchbook and use that for anything, not just one particular medium. Fill it with any and everything
- Draw what you love and don't let your anxiety hinder it. Post humans, anthros, ferals, etc and don't worry if someone hates a particular thing
- Post more (Don't just post finished work, post doodles, too)
- Get your dang species sheet done and start making adopts for them

And non-art related goals~!

- Be kind to myself
-Save more money and do more research for moving
- Continue studying Japanese and get through my textbook by the end of the year
- Go to more cons and travel more
- Continue reaching out to mutuals and those I admire more (Anxiety hindered me with this but I did well this year w the goal)
- Rest and take care of myself when I have bad mental health days
- Know my limits and find the balance between caring for others and myself - Art!!

Hello dears~ I hope your holidays were lovely and that the start of the year is treating you well. 2016 was a roller coaster for everyone so I'm ready to start a fresh. <3 I can't wait to see everyone flourish and grow this coming year.

With that being said, there's something that's been on my mind a lot lately and I felt it was something I should address for the new year. I spoke with a close friend of mine about this and we both made a pact to not hold back any more with our creative endeavours.

My art has and always will be an outlet to express myself. <3 My characters, my worlds, my stories...

I enjoy drawing both cute and sweet artwork but also dark and emotional artwork. Psychological themes being one of my favourites. I love to express myself through my passions. <3 Feelings like happiness, sorrow, anger, love... they are valid and you shouldn't have to hold them back. It's not just with my art either. It's also with my writing as well, and videos, and voice-acting. I like things that make people feel.

I've felt like I've had to hold back with uploading emotional art. Wondering and worrying if "Maybe I shouldn't upload this..." or "I might lose watchers from this..." and that kind of thinking is unfair to me as an artist because I shouldn't have to hold back or worry about losing watchers over expressing myself.

Sometimes dark art can be scenes in my stories, others are actual vent art for me to get my emotions out. Either way, if my darker pieces trigger you, feel free toblacklist the tags. Sometimes my darker art can have blood/gore and psychological horror as well as being a little unsettling to those who aren't used to it. I respect your feelings, so please don't ever be afraid to say something to me if something really bothers you. <3

My art is important to me and I don't want to hold back feeling like I can't share it or express myself. I hope you understand.

Hello my dears. I have some updated for you all. May has been a wonderful month for me...getting to meet precious people who are very special to me and creating wonderful memories. It was the best gift I could have ever asked for and it is the highlight of my spring. But unfortunately, right after this wonderful week of pure bliss...unfortunate timing happened with all of us. T . T Getting sick, among other things. Kind of blindsides us all with our own stresses.

I also was told last week that my workplace just doesn't have the sales to keep me. My hours have been reduced the past few weeks and then last week I was told that I'm pretty much done. I loved my job, and it's been a great few months, but I guess it can't be helped. If they don't have the sales to keep me then there's not much I can do. It just sucks. My anxiety has been an all time high, and I've been dealing with health issues as well because of all the stress building up so it's been taxing...

I'm gonna stay strong, though! I've put in numerous applications elsewhere so I'm hoping I can get some interviews next week. I have so much to tell you~! I'm sorry I took a small hiatus without warning but lots has been happening. I've been dealing with lots of family issues as of late. So many people dealing with things and my grammy has been dealing with lots of pain and was in the hospital for a week under watch and to have surgery. Thankfully she's doing better. We're all staying strong. <3

But on a more positive note I've got some wonderful things to tell you~ I have a new job~! <333 I've been trying so hard - putting in application after application and to get interviews only to lead on over and over for months. (I want to move so bad. I hate my hometown. No opportunities!) It was a stressful but I managed to make it work. But honestly, I think it worked out for the best. I could have been trapped in a job I hated like my my previous job, (I had been at it for 4 years and it was so toxic and draining. It would have killed me to go back to something similar) Even though it took a few months I think it worked out for the best that I got this~ And now I have a job that I really really like~! It may not give me a lot of hours but it's something that I enjoy and will work right now and that's what matters to me~! ♡

I just wanted to take the time to say thank you. Every single one of you. <3 Thank you. Everyone who commissioned me, who showed support, signal boosted my commissions, YCH's, everything. It's thanks to you for helping me stay afloat. You have no idea how much it means to me. No idea. <33 Thank you so much. Otakon was the best convention experience I've ever had! <3 °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖° My heart is still overflowing with the love and adoration I felt from this place. The people were so amazing - I met people who gave me so much inspiration and made my day! Everyone was so open-mined, respectful, and friendly - cosplayers and staff alike.

The energy was surreal....! Complete bliss; I felt like I was on cloud nine the whole time. It was quite an experience that I will never forget and it's left an imprint in my heart. Next year I'm booking a hotel in advance so I can go for all 3 days~

The SU fandom is absolutely divine. I met so many fellow SU cosplayers and we all got to do a photoshoot together. I cannot wait till they get pics up! <3 It was so fun~

I met so many lovely artists in the artist alley and found so much inspiration in all the booths...! <333 I love supporting my fellow artists. They all were amazing. The dealers room had so many wonderful finds and every booth had something to offer~!

Hello all~~! <33 Sorry I don't update much on here~ I use Twitter as my means of life updates hahah~ But I just wanted to let you all know me, my best friend, and my sister will be making our first debut at Otakon this year! God, I am so squeaking excited it's unreal~ * u * We've gone to Setsucon for the past 5 years, but Otakon is a bigbig jump. Like 20k - 30k people yisssss~ SO DUDE IF YOU'RE GOING, COME SAY HI AND GETS PICS OKIES? <3 I DON'T BITE!

It was a spur of the moment decision a month ago because I've wanted to go for years and decided, why not~? We all need the detox from stress so it's perfect. Sadly, we can only go for Saturday because we couldn't get a hotel that was vacant, or it was a crapton of money... So...! One day is better than none. We're gonna make every second count. * u * We're gonna try and be there as soon as the con opens and head home around midnight or so, since it's a three hour drive haha~ BUT YES. I am so excited...! Every time I think about it my heart skips a beat and I melt~~~

I've fallen head over heels for Steven Universe in the past couple of months. I cannot tell you how much I adore it and how much inspiration it gives me. Especially for one of my stories~<3 (Which I still need to post more of...~cough~) I love all the characters, the story, the art, everything...! I'm going as Lapis~<333 Who is one of my top favourite characters along with Rose~<3 And my best friend is going as my Amethyst! Eeeeee!!! And Buu is going as Yuna, probably summoner/FFX Yuna. We're so effing psyched. I still gotta make my gem hahaha~~~ u vu;;; (procrastination) aaaand I don't have enough time to make armsocks and dye tights and get facepaint so I'm going with my regular skin. I CAN'T BE A BLUE SMURF DARN. Seriously though, that is gonna take a lot of research, so I'd rather experiment with facepaint for a photoshoot and stuff, and not with a con where we're on a time limit. At least my ouffit and wig are sexy AF.

I can't wait to do a photoshoot, too. I might not lug my Canon along just cause I'm worried something might happen to it. T u T;; But we might be able to get pics with the other SU groups. I think there's supposed to a photoshoot or something??? I have to double check! If not, you can be sure there will be plenty photoshoots when we get home. I also desperately want to cosplay Rose by the end of the summer~! Hi everyone. <3 Things have been rough for me lately in terms of stress and anxiety along with sinuses/allergies. Having them both together is not a good combo! > x < I'm just having a rough time with my art as well...Just feeling extremely discouraged lately. It's really hard when you're kicked down, but I'm sure I'll be able to get back up soon.

I just really want to draw and make people happy. I'm so much more happy working on art, then I ever am at my 'real' job. I'm so overworked and underpaid at my job. It's awful. I feel like I'm wasting my life away. I wish I could just quit.

As of late, I've been super discouraged with my art and I really don't feel like I have support from anyone either. I just really want to make people happy and draw for them and learn about OCs and such and have fun doing what I love. But sometimes...I feel like I'm doing something wrong because no matter what I do, I feel like I can't get my stuff out there. I try and try, again and again to post new commission ideas. I thought for sure my inexpensive freestyle commissions would get some interest. Maybe I'm just doing something wrong. Even my past YCH, before this one, got ignored. It's super frustrating. I feel like I'm set up for failure. Drawing both cute/sweet/tender things, alongside spooky/dark/emotional things probably isn't helping my case much either. I really adore drawing both and I think it scares people off because I don't cater to one specific style, not to mention I experiment all the time.

I was going to put together a new commission sheet, with the help of my babylove, but at the same time...I'm not sure what you guys are looking for? What are you interested? What would you like to see from me? What do you think are my strong points in art? What do you think I convey the best? I never get to hear these from people, I only know my own thoughts on the matter (I personally think I'm strongest in concept art, character design, and illustrating scenes from my stories. Ironically, those are the three things I really want a job in.) Hearing others opinions will really help and encourage me. So please feel free to comment.
