Inflatable Boppers/Dakis and Future Plans
Posted 5 years agoHey all! Just thought the post about my layoff is slightly old news by now, so I feel like updating the page with something a little more relevant and upbeat, as well as possibly picking some brains on some future ideas.
So the orders I ran on the boppers are locked in, and the manufacturer ought to be working on them currently. I'll be posting more up-to-date notices on them on my twitter, such as how production is coming along and when the first of them get mailed out. It took some doing, and the whole thing was a bit of a learning experience for me. Gathering the orders via google forms was a bit tedious but not overwhelming, and there were a few other points of the process I could improve, but I resolved myself to see this through, even if it's just to prove that I can deliver on the order.
That all said, due to a miscalculation, I came out slightly in the red on this endeavor. I didn't want to further adjust prices on people after payment was made, so for those of you who ordered on this run, consider yourselves the beneficiaries of a special, introductory rate!
And yes, by "this run" I am suggesting that I may do more runs in the future once everyone receives their product, and I wanted input on what characters to do next! As a general rule, I want to put characters of similar size and proportions together, and have these be characters enough people would want inflatable boppers/dakis of. I'll probably hold an actual poll to gather numbers, but so far my pairings for future runs are:
- Holly and Belle: extra tall boppers, with Holly in her fishbone bikini and Belle in her t-shirt and short shorts.
- Mirig and BAPPERS: extra wide boppers, with Mirig in her AWOO's uniform or her green beltkini, and BAPPERS in just about the only outfit she's ever worn.
- Nymph and C-Nine: Two-sided boppers, with the front being the girls posing, and the back being a pose from behind with their heads detached and on the ground. C-Nine would be in her usual outfit, and Nymph's outfit is still in the air, but I'll probably go with her black and white swimsuit.
Of course, I'm also open to other suggestions, if anyone can think of another two (or more) characters than would work for identically sized boppers (comment below!). If there's enough demand for it, I might also do a repeat run of the Sofi/Gena boppers down the line. Just random musings...
As usual my commission queue is here! -> https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/9454663
And if you'd like to tip/donate, I have a ko-fi here! -> https://ko-fi.com/aygee99
Also also, I'm like to remind people that I stream Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday(sometimes), and Friday evenings, at least until further notice! -> https://picarto.tv/AyGee

Some Life Changes
Posted 5 years agoSo I got laid off today. Just wanna rip that band-aid off right out the gate.
Nothing I did, just massive downsizing due to the steep drop in my company's business due to the current situation. Fortunately, I'm not entirely unprepared - I've been saving up a good amount of funds while working that I can coast for a while. What gets me is more just wondering what my next move will be. My family is probably expecting me to get another regular job, and I'm personally considering leaning more into the freelance artist/game maker position, especially if the lock-down/semi-lock-down makes job hunting difficult.
If you're getting a commission from me, I fully intend to follow through at the same pace I've been going before, if not possibly faster due to potential free time. I'd rather not add myself to that long list of artists who flake out at the first wrinkle in their life. :P
Also, I'll still be following through on those inflatable bopper orders! In fact, if you have any interest and the money to spare, a few more preorders would be much appreciated!
Tweet with info -> https://twitter.com/axlegear99/stat.....24662621450242
Order forms -> Google Forms
Preorders on those are still closing at the end of the 23rd, so that's this Saturday.
Additionally, I still have a ko-fi! -> https://ko-fi.com/aygee99
Commission queue is still here -> https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/9454663
Anyboo, I'm gonna go about keeping a stiff upper lip and my chin up. Might update my streaming schedule in the near future. Depending on how much time closing things out and job hunting takes, I could potentially be doing daily/nightly work - give myself plenty of time to draw all those fun ideas I've had.

Inflatable Boppers/Dakis Availible for Preorder!
Posted 5 years agoHey yinz!
https://twitter.com/axlegear99/stat.....39574102818818
In case you didn't hear, I've started preorders for inflatable boppers featuring art of some squeaky husky girls!
You've got a choice between:
Gena - https://www.furaffinity.net/view/35251724/
Sofi - https://www.furaffinity.net/view/35446766/
Or both, or multiples of the same if you're feeling so inclined.
They're 95 USD plus shipping if you're ordering one, or 90 USD each plus shipping if you order two or more boppers!
The order forms are right here ---> forms.gle/bgZbSyWcdyMxRZ2o7
I've got a soft deadline of May 23rd to get orders in. I'm particularly looking to get at least fifty boppers total ordered to really make the venture worth it.
These boppers should be close to five feet tall and a little over twenty inches in diameter when inflated (the manufacturer gave me the figures of 160 by 86 cm uninflated), and have a secondary chamber on the bottom to add ballast if you want them to stand on their own (water works, but something dry like play sand is recommended).
Wanted to make sure you're all aware of this!
PS: For those who are keeping track of things that are a little more two-dimensional, my commission progress queue is still here -> https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/9454663

Upcoming Queue and Schedule Changes!
Posted 5 years agoHey everyone! I wanted to post real quick to keep everyone who submitted a commission form updated.
The good news is: everyone who submitted a form is getting a slot!
The caveat?: That makes for 16 slots, which some of you may know is significantly larger than my normal runs of 3-5 slots. Tomorrow evening, I will begin to write up and sent out invoices. I'll repeat this within the invoice itself, but I'll repeat it here: you DO NOT HAVE to pay the invoice until you have approved a rough sketch. If your order is 100 USD or over, you will have the option to split up the payment - half after the approval of the rough sketch, and the other half after the approval of the finished lines.
Another important note, and one that is part of the learning experience of my making forms: I want to post a public queue so people know where they are in the order, but I realized that not everyone may want to publicly identify as the commissioner of a piece. So within the invoice, I will ask you permission to post your name in the queue - until I hear otherwise, I will give you a number so you can check how far down the list you are.
And on to scheduling!
Now that I am working from home for the foreseeable future, it has affected my streaming schedule significantly. I've been streaming more often, and I want to make sure to pace myself with the different kinds of work I do, and set a more regular schedule, however loose it may be. So, my proposed streaming times!:

Life Update and Commission Form Clarification
Posted 5 years agoHey all. Dropping a well-needed general update on my situation in relation to some current events, as well as a few clarifications on how I'll be handling the incoming commissions, in case there was something I missed.
To start, my county is currently in... kind of lockdown? Any business that isn't essential has been ordered to close its physical location to prevent the spread of covid. Additionally, my office is mandating that everyone works from home. It's kind of weird being at home (just in my room, a lot of the time) for nearly all hours of the day, so I've been doing some cleaning and ordered some quality of life stuff, like a sit/stand desk so I don't obliterate my spine. I've gotten more streaming time in, as some of you may have noticed, but I'm trying not to burn myself out. I'll still be streaming on my usual Sunday and Wednesday evenings - just expect a couple of surprise streams to pop up at other times throughout the week.
And to move on to the commissions! As stated in my earlier journal ( https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/9430231 ), I'll be collecting forms right up until the end of the month, and only after will I begin work on any of these. The order I'll take them on will be determined randomly, meaning that the time you submit your request will not have an effect on the order it will be handled. If I'm working on a single figure piece, I'll generally work away at it until it's done, but if I roll up a multi-figure piece, I may end up working on it concurrently with other single figure commissions or personal projects. Once I decide which commissions I'll be taking on, I will send out invoices all at once, but payment will NOT be required until after a rough sketch has been approved. As I may have mentioned earlier, this will be the biggest list I've taken on, and it might very well take me the rest of the year to get through it, so please be patient!
ALSO! Very important note I forgot to include in the request form: you must be at least 18 or older for me to take on your commission. I have it in my general terms of service, but I figure reiterating it here would be wise.
Also also, I remembered I have a Ko-fi I've been neglecting to mention on a regular basis: https://ko-fi.com/aygee99
Just a little tip-jar thing for now!

Here we go! (Taking commission requests)
Posted 5 years agoIt's finally happening!
I'm doing my first foray into using google forms to collect requests, so pardon if there's any hiccups. This will be a learning experience for me.
You can find the form >>>HERE<<<
The short and skinny of it is 50 USD per figure, with additional charges for extra details (wings, elaborate outfits, additional limbs, etc), and a maximum of four figures per request.
I will be collecting requests until the end of the month, after which I will either process them in random order (if there are few requests), or I will pick-and-choose five slots and lottery another five if I end up with more requests than I think I can handle by the end of the year.
So get those requests in, and good luck!

Computer Woes
Posted 6 years agoPending some conflicting info on my current (nonworking) setup, I've decided I should probably break down the whole rig, returns the parts, and start over from scratch.
Of course, that means waiting for a day I can do all this, and for the refunds to go through, and... Well, let's just say I don't see myself streaming anytime in the near future, barring a functional desktop falling into my lap. :<
I'm still able to keep up with my work somewhat on my laptop, and that's just how it's gonna have to be for now.
God, I miss being able to have a dual display.

New Year's Update!
Posted 6 years agoHey everyone! Just dropping a quick little update before the year's out.
I'm still waiting on my computer to get back from the shop, so it's very likely there will still be no streams this week. However, I haven't been idle! I've been chipping away at some new pieces, including a quick sequence for the turning of the decade (did you know I made both Belle and Nymph this year?).
So I've got my commission queue, the short comic, and a couple of people I wanted to line up art trades with, which makes for a pretty full plate to keep me going into the new year. I should also do a quick 'year/decade' in review while I'm at it.
Also, shoot! Didn't even get to talk about the Christmas season! It was good on my end - got to hang out with family and got just about everything I put on my list (new computer wasn't on it, too soon before Christmas Day to make that a thing), including a bunch of models that I'll need to set up a workspace to assemble and paint. I've also been productive over my break, between the holiday pics of Jenny for Mitsmas and Holly as is my yearly tradition.
Anyway, keep your eyes peeled for new stuff! If not later tonight, then hopefully tomorrow!

Dead Computers
Posted 6 years agoTL;DR - Computers don't work around me. Streams will be suspended until further notice - Jan 2nd at the earliest.
Long Version:
So I've been trying to get a new computer working lately. I've already been through a lot of stress trying to get all the parts together, realizing I'm missing a few things, and then ordering more parts and having to wait on those. When I got the whole new rig assembled, it turns on, no display. I troubleshot the hell out of it, and recently I wondered if the RAM might be the issue.
So I open up my old, operational desktop to pop out the RAM, hold it up the the motherboard on the new computer, and realize it won't fit. So I put the chip back into the old desktop, close it up, and power it on to make sure things are fine.
It turned on, I smelled ozone, and there was no display.
Needless to say, I'm quite upset to have two broken computers where I used to have one working machine.
I thought I could stream on my laptop in the meantime, but between stalling inputs and none of the preferences being set properly on any programs, the experience was quite excruciating for me. I could only stand it for long enough to put the finishing touches on a picture, and sketching new stuff feels so imprecise.
So I decided to take my new rig to a shop to have it looked at, and the owner estimated that it'll take at least until the second of January to get anything conclusive. Until then, I'm pretty much dead in the water as far as streaming is concerned. I may be able to work on pics offline, but that will be an experiment for another night. I'm too frustrated to give it a go now.

Just dropping a couple of quick updates to let you all know where I'm at. I've been working on a few concurrent projects, including the commissions from the not-much-of-a-raffle-because-I-took-all-comers raffle, another sequence, and an artists' Secret Santa, so expect a dip in activity followed by a sudden glut of content.
I've also got a very special set of pieces coming in... a couple months? I'll let you know when they come out. I'm super excited about them but I don't want to spoil it!
Also also, I've finally signed up for a ko-fi!
>>> https://ko-fi.com/aygee99 <<<
For the time being, it will serve as a tip jar. I'm not currently offering any exclusives through it, nor am I using as a means to pay for or arrange commissions (I'll still put out formal announcements and go directly through Paypal for those). But, if you like what I do, feel free to show some love

Raffle Closed!
Posted 6 years agoJust a quick post before I'm out for the day!
The commission raffle officially closed last night, and I'm looking over the entrants. I'm thinking, because there were few enough people and the pieces are 2 characters max, that I'll simply take on all of them! I'll be messaging the lucky participants as I go down the line, and working on their commissions throughout my streams.

More updates!
Posted 6 years agoI'd like to take this opportunity to give some quick life updates to explain what I've been up to, what I'm currently up to, and what I'll be up to:
Armies On Parade:
For those of you who don't know, Armies On Parade is a yearly competition held in Warhammer stores based on constructing a board and models to set a little scene or display an army. It's something I've been trying to get first in for a few years going now.
I've been working on my board for months, and there was some stiff competition, but I finally won the gold this year! If you all are interested, I could try to rummage up some pics of the award-winning work. Hopefully, with the long nights of building and painting done, I should have a -little- more free time.
Inktober:
I kind of fell off the wagon with this one. I got through sixteen of the prompts this year, which is up quite a bit from the handful I did last year. With my schedule being what it is, the only time I can really put any effort into Inktober is either during my streams for digital stuff, or during my breaks in work for the traditional stuff. And frankly, I'm not super comfortable drawing furry pinup girls where I do my job, so I'm gonna call it for Inktober this year, hopefully giving me just a little more energy for...
Sofi's Witchy Lingerie:
Some of you may remember the poll I held a few weeks back on the most important question, and I'm going to lock the result in on the witchy lingerie for Sofi this year! In fact, I want to try and do a short little comic for it to have out on Halloween. Fingers crossed for that getting done on time.
Extra Life:
On November 2nd, I'm going to attend a 25-hour event for Extra Life, where I stay up during that entire time and play games. That's a Saturday, so there is a possibility that I'll be wiped out that coming Sunday and might be unable to stream that night.
Projects and Commission:
I've got a few side projects I want to get done before I open up commissions again, since I know a lot of people have been asking when I'll have slots. I'm trying to shoot for mid-late November, but it could be later, given life's tendency to beat me with the busy-stick. I'm not 100% sure yet what types of commissions will be available, but I'll make both a journal post and a submission to inform those interested as best I can!
I think that's it for now. I'll edit in more stuff if I think of any.

General Update!
Posted 6 years agoHey everyone!
As always, between other projects and a full time job life has been entirely too busy. I have some major things coming up this month, including a mad dash to get a board done for Armies On Parade (a Warhammer painting/modeling contest), a handful of side projects, and of course the result of the most important decision - which I intend to make into a small comic that I'm gonna try my hardest to have out before the Halloween season is over.
All that said, I definitely won't be opening commissions until October is over, and realistically I'll probably be halfway through November before I can take on anything new, provided the general busy-ness of the winter season doesn't ramp up too hard and that my impending birthday doesn't herald some misfortune like it usually does.
I'll try to keep you all posted as best I can in the coming weeks, especially in regards to when the next commission raffle is!

Tonight's Stream
Posted 6 years agoJust a note for tonight's stream: we'll probably have to do a short one. I scheduled it to avoid staying up late before an 8 am meeting, only for another 8 am meeting to be scheduled the following day. So please bear with while the world preempts my attempts at fixing my arrangements.

Stream Schedule
Posted 6 years agoHey everyone!
Lately work has me coming in at the crack of dawn on Wednesdays, which doesn't exactly gel with my current schedule of streaming on Tuesday nights. As such, I'm probably gonna switch things up and shoot for streaming at 9 pm EST on Wednesdays, starting next week.
Also, I feel like I wanted to start a poll or ask for input regarding something, but for the life of me I can't remember what. More on that if it occurs to me!

AC Bound! - No stream Tuesday?
Posted 6 years agoAnthrocon's coming up! :D
I've got tons of stuff to get in order in less than a few days! D:
Since that's the case, I -probably- won't be streaming this Tuesday so I can run some errands with a little last minute pressure. HOWEVER, I'm gonna make it a point to do something to make it up, and I'm thinking of tweeting WIP's and sketches from AC while I'm hanging with the dorks.
Yah, I still have a twitter. I was surprised, too. You can find it here! -> https://twitter.com/axlegear99

Back From Vacation! Also AC plans
Posted 6 years agoHey everyone! Back from my vacation with my family near the ol' Smokey Mountains of Tennessee. As usual, my schedule is relentless, but I managed to get in a couple of quick little streams throughout the time. I should be back to my normal schedule by now, at least as far as Sunday and Tuesday streams are concerned.
Other nights are going to be occupied making preparations for Anthrocon this year. The people I was hoping to get any help from flaked out on me, so now I'm looking for anyone that's looking for a roomie at the Westin. I kind of need the convenience for changing into and out of my costume, as I'd rather not walk any distance outdoors in the Pittsburgh summer. If anyone out there might be able to lend a hand, toss me a line. I'm more than able to pay my way.
Also, I remembered that journal headers were a thing, so I'm going to be using that to keep track of commission progress in the future. More updates as they develop!

Sequence Queue and Upcoming Vacation
Posted 6 years agoA hoy hoy! Putting up this journal to track my queue on those sequence commissions:
1)
Airking - IN PROGRESS
2)
Yowza - Queued...
3)
Max_O-Zuma - Queued...
Secondly, I wanted to let everyone know that I'm going to be out of town all of next week. I'll be bringing my laptop and possibly my tablet, but there's no guarantee that I will be able to stream or work during that time. However, I should be back to my normal schedule right after!
Once I'm back, I'll try to compose another update regarding Anthrocon.

Sequence Slots!
Posted 6 years agoAt long last, I'm opening slots for sequences!
I'm going to be opening THREE (3) slots, to be completed over multiple streaming sessions. You don't need to be present during the streams for these, but that does mean I will need to stop frequently to get approval as the commission progresses.
PRICING AND LIMITS:
Each figure drawn in a sequence is 35 USD. Characters with complex details (ex: wings) will incur an additional 5-10 USD at my discretion. For example, a three-panel sequence with two characters per panel (3 panels x 2 characters = 6 figures) will be 210 USD. Each panel will include simple backgrounds.
To keep this manageable, I'm going to impose some limits for the maximum 'size' of the commission, based on the number of characters:
- 1 character > 4 panels maximum
- 2 characters > 3 panels maximum
- 3+ characters > 2 panels maximum
You don't have to do the maximum on any of these, so winners are welcome to request a single character sequence with three panels, for instance.
Examples of previous sequences!:
- https://www.furaffinity.net/view/30700244/
- https://www.furaffinity.net/view/28661812/
ENTERING:
I will be taking these commissions by lottery. To put your name in the hat, respond to the appropriate comment below. After winners are drawn, I will note them via FA for details on their request. While not completely necessary, I recommend having more than one idea ready in case I am not comfortable with the first - that way, you have another request handy and minimize delay.
The cut-off for entry is this Saturday (May 18) at midnight EST.
Things that I like to draw:
- Girls
- Squeaky girls
- Swimsuits
- Huskies and Doggos
- Cheesecake and Suggestive Scenarios

Queue Finished!
Posted 6 years agoTook me a while to update, but as of yet my commission queue is finished!
I'm probably going to take some time off to work on some side projects, maybe take a few in-stream commission, and then I'll consider posting up more slots. There's a strong possibility that I'll be taking some sequence commissions, perhaps in a slightly limited capacity to keep the workload manageable.
Until then, I'm still streaming on Sundays and Tuesdays around 9 EST (sometimes earlier on Sundays), and occasionally on Wednesdays if I'm feeling up for it. See you guys there!
