Finally I did it!
Posted 12 years agoToday I received a phone call from my professor. I passed my last exam! Now I'm an engineer. I just have to wait some time until I get my diploma certificate. But it shouldn't take too long.
Why can't computers just work as they should
Posted 12 years agoI used arch linux for years now and it worked fine. But in the last time it seems to fall apart slowly with every new update. Neccesary scripts vanish preventing services from runnung and causing system instability. Software is malfunctioning or failing completely. I don't know what I am doing wrong. But I need that damn machine to complete my diploma thesis.
I'll try something else now. Hoping that it'll work better.

Back to the roots
Posted 12 years agoI've returned to the internet relay network. You can find me on Furnet and on the IRCnet, in both networks I'm known as ayron.
Since last week I have some troubles with Skype. After a system update it's only segfaulting directly after start. If I'm offline on Skype, please try IRC or jabber.

I'm licensed now!
Posted 13 years agoFinally I got my ham radio license. I passed the exam two weeks ago, but the lady at the Federal Network Agency was on holiday. So I had to wait. Maybe I can get some furries or otherkins on the radio. But first I need an antenna.
Firescale Dragonchat now on SourceForge
Posted 15 years agoToday I've uploaded the code of Firescale Dragonchat to SourceForge. This is the main communication Suit of the Draconity Community Network. You can find the project page here: http://fsdchat.sourceforge.net
At the moment there is no runnable code, but it won't take long until the first running release will be available.
If you are can program Java and want to join, just ask!

The future of the Draconity Community Network
Posted 15 years agoSince Funai sparked a fork, I changed the intention of the Draconity Community Network, short DCN (without any dash!).
The first idea while founding the DCN was to create a possibility for Furries and Otherkins to communicate securely through the internet. The idea of creating land for Furries was Funais.
The idea of creating a community for furries, otherkins and people with furry/otherkin like faith will remain, but the DCN won't support any military actions. It remains as a communication network. There won't be an inner circle any longer. Everyone can join for free and everyone has the same rights.
We are working on developing software for different means of communication like chatting, phoning or file transfer. You may now think why we are doing that although there are many programs existing like ICQ, Skype etc. The answer is very simple: All these programs are insecure! For example ICQ. If you use it, everything you write will be transmitted unencrypted and for everyone readable (like talking on the cellphone at the bus stop). You also give up your copyright. (I don't think you want that). Skype is encrypted but an encryption is useless if it has a backdoor (I've heard about that) or if someone else than you (e.g. the server) has access to the secret key. Another problem is, there's no way to find out if the person you are chatting with is really that person it pretends to be. Our programs solve all these problems - and even that annoying Russian spam ^^.
Interested? So stay tuned!

Enough for now
Posted 15 years agoNow I've uploaded all my pictures for now. But I'm still not sure if I should upload my poems or not...
When I have time, I'll make more fractals.
If you want to make some cosmic flame fractales on your own, get apophysis here.

Posted 15 years agoHello!
Finally, I decided to show my artwork here on Fur Affinity. I can't draw, but I've rendered some fractals in the past. All the escape time fractals were done on an old AMD K5 machine. Please don't ask for parameters, I've lost them over the time.
There are still more cosmic flame fractals and other work, but because of the flooding policy, I will upload them later.
