Last night, my power came back on. 5 days without it... that's a record for me lol. And internet kicked in this morning. So yay, I am back in business :P

So I am home early from Fur Fright. It was incredible this year... I had the best time I have had in a while. Met some awesome people, and had a blast.

I was hoping people could pop in here with links of pictures of Dakota (my cockatoo) if you have them. I love having pictures of my little girl.

I havent been to a con since last FF, so I am kinda dissociated from the convention scene. There are so many people I miss seeing and I really am very excited about seeing everyone. I don't plan to fursuit because I really just want to socialize, relax, and have fun. Yes, you read correctly... as life has changed for me lately, I have discovered that parts of my personality that have been hiding away have returned. These parts are ones that made up Schulo (my past fursona if you dont know), and so I have decided that she will make a comeback! I am changing her quite a bit looks-wise, though. While she was a shepherd mix, she is now a pit bull. i am working on character design as we speak.

So be excited with me! Schulo is back (and hopefully here to stay)!

So every so often I get this urge to draw, and I do, but then I have no desire to do so for weeks or even months. I watch people drawing and doing great artwork and I miss it so much, but I can never get the motivation to do it. I have no idea why I seem to have no interest in it whatsoever anymore, but I want it back! Anyone have any ideas on how to break and artblock like this?

Hey so I know this is short notice, but I am totally kicking myself for not planning for AC this year. Does anyone have crash space left somewhere? If I can't find a ride I'll likely take Amtrak but a room is sort of necessary. If there isn't a lot of room I'll leave my fursuit home, its no biggie. Momma rat is a very young girl, and I believe that she just didn't have enough milk to go around to everyone. We have lost 3 more babies, leaving only the strongest babies still alive. We went from a litter of 14 to a litter of 8, but there is good news. I bought formula yesterday and fed all of them, and then returned them back to mom. I woke up in the middle of the night for another feeding and I saw Tira had them all underneath her, and every one of them was suckling. It seems that the reason she grew intolerant of the babies is because of the large number of weaklings that hadn't recieved enough food and were not thriving. At this point, we have lost every blue baby except one. I am starting to believe the blue babies were less healthy from the beginning since all the ones that have passed on have been blue. The one left is still almost hairless while the others all have fuzz, but he is very strong and I think he might make it. Since she was in a tank of around 20 male rats, she may have been impregnated by more than one father (yes, this can happen), and the blue babies didnt make it simply because the genes of the father weren't the greatest.

All in all, I will never know. And though I am sad about their passing, it is a blessing that I still have these few babies alive. I am very happy that there is at least 1 girl left. So right now we are at 7 boys and 1 girl. Here are the remaining munchkins. (Some have new names due to their personalities).

So today is day 10 in the lives of my little rattie grandchildren, and while they have been handled every day, it has become a little hard for such a tiny little mommy to keep track of 14 babies. Two have passed on, one of which the mother disposed of herself. It was one little boy and one little girl. However, we still have 12 babies, most of which are doing well. The weaker babies are spending some time alone with momma while the stronger ones are in a tub with a warm lamp above them to keep them comfortable. Most of them are crawling around, bulldozing anything in their path. The blacks are starting to get in adorable amounts of peach fuzz, and the blues seem to be taking a little more time. I have been naming them slowly as they have been getting more and more distinguishing characteristics. Here's the list so far:

Hey guys! For everyone who is curious about Tira and her little rattie babies, she started to give birth at approximately 9:30pm tonight. I went in to check at 9:45pm and there were two below her! I have been checking on her every 45 minutes or so, and at last count at 11pm, we had 14 rittens. 14!!! I'm gunna be a busy momma!

I am pretty sure she is done, she is arranging the babies in a little nest and seems to be breathing less heavily, but there is always a possibility for one more!

So kitty came out today and I was looking at him better and watching his personality a bit more... and immediately it hit me... he's a Demitri. So kitty has a new name and is finally coming out of his shell. Hard to name a cat living under your bed... lol

Hey everyone! So I adopted a rescue kitty today. His former name was Sefandu and, well, I don't like it lol. He was only in foster care for a little bit, so a new name would be okay for him. He is all white with one green eye, one blue eye, and is around 5 years old. He is currently hiding under my bed, so the only picture I have of him is the one from the rescue:

So... I was going through names today but I knew that I would not be able to choose till I met the cat. The name I had decided on, Sora, just doesn't seem to ring right (plus, I am getting constant questions wondering if he is named after Sora from Kingdom Hearts). So, sadly, after only owning her for a very short time, Kiri (my fruit bat) has passed away. She was never showing any signs of sickness, was very healthy in weight, but I found her curled up on the floor of her tank. I am extremely upset about this. While the place I got her told me that they didn't know her age, they said they were "young" bats, but aside from some type of internal parasite, old age seems to be the only thing I could think of killing her, since everything about her was healthy. She was eating great, flying, and even biting, but she has passed on.

I will not lay blame on the company, I bought her knowing they did not know her age. Since bats are not legal here, I cannot even order a necropsy.

RIP little Kiri. I love you.

So I have been having this strange problem getting onto my  FapToAzaleya account. I log in like normal, and it sends me back to the page I was viewing prior like normal, but I am still a guest. If I do it on this account, it lets me right in. Is anyone having this same problem or does anyone have any ideas on what I should do? I have more art to upload on there and haven't been able to get on in over 2 weeks. Thanks!
