Untying the Knot
Posted 5 years agoHey everyone. Bassy here, with a big announcement, and a difficult one to make at that. This may very well be the last journal I post in this account, or if not one of the very last at least.
You may have noticed the new avatar of this account, as well as the latest image that was uploaded. If you follow me on SoFurry and Twitter you may have noticed a slight rebrand of my pages. There's a good reason for that, and as per usual, I'm gonna be direct about what that is.
After months of dealing with a lot of difficulties in our relationship, Wolfeh and I have decided to end our marriage and our status as a couple. For that reason, I will be starting a new FA account, while this one which used to be shared by the both of us will now go inactive.
This announcement might come out of a left field for a lot of you and I can imagine all the questions you might be having about this, so Iām going to try and clarify a few things in hopes to dispell any possible doubts:
-Our decision to end our marriage was done in a civil way and we have no ill will to one another. We had a lot of talks about this and it is not a choice we're taking lightly.
-Switching to an entirely different account might seem too much, but there's a lot of personal reasons behind this decision. On top of that, because usernames cannot be changed in FA due to the way the site is structured, it doesn't feel right to keep using an account that shares our usernames when we're no longer a couple.
-All that said, this account will NOT be deleted and all of its images will remain posted and unaffacted. I'll keep this old account as an archive for me and Wolfeh's works from the last seven years.
-All my other accounts, including Bassworks, my SoFurry and Twitter pages will be completely unaffected and will remain active. As will Wolfeh's own Twitter account.
-Likewise, all work on Winbdorn will continue as normal with next to changes at all, including the "Avia After Dark" patreon.
Understand that because this is a delicate situation, neither Wolfeh nor I will be open to answering any questions about our separation. We hope that you respect our privacy on this matter and accept our decision to no longer be a couple.

flyper, aka Iceberg Lonely! Having followed her work for years now, it's impressive not only seeing her work improve so much, but also learn behind her process and inspirations as well.
She's also great to commission - already commissioned art from her several times and each and every time I've really pleased with her work. She's currently doing sketch commissions with a base price of only $10, so whether you want something sexy, feathery, funky or all of the above, I cannot recommend her enough! Also, if you're an aspiring artist, I greatly recommend subscribing to her Patreon or at the very least follow her on Instagram (for free!). I have decided not to open a second batch for the time being in order to lessen my workload - give myself some respite from the exhaustion I've been dealing with these last few weeks. You'll continue seeing content from me though, just not commission for a while (with the exception of Kalo's, as usual).
I'll let you all know when I open a new batch of commissions. Until then, thanks for your support and take care, everybody!

No Batch 3 for Commissions
Posted 5 years agoHey everyone! As I'm about to wrap up with this second commission batch, I'm afraid to inform that I won't be able to open a third one right after. Apologies to anyone who was hoping for that, but due to a tight schedule the next month it just won't be possible.
Please don't message me asking when I'll be opening commissions again because I simply do not know. Could be in two months, could be in a whole other year, it's purely circumstantial and I never plan far ahead for that.

Status Update
Posted 6 years agoCurrently unable to access FA via wi-fi after the shutdown, so until that changes Iāll be unable to post new art here on FA.
That said, I will continue to work on commissions in the meantime. If any commissioner has a deviantArt account, Iād like you to share them so we may have an alternative channel to communicate.

The 24-hour priority will expire at 5:00 am PST

-Anthros only - no ferals, taurs, nagas or anything that doesn't walk on two legs. (With possible exceptions, please ask for more info)
-Up to 6 characters maximum (same character drawn more than once in the same pic counts as a separate character).
-Only 4 rounds of changes allowed during the entire process - please be concise and specific whenever you ask me to make changes to the drawing.
-Commissioners MUST pay full price as soon as it's their turn. If you're unable to pay within 24 hours, your turn will be given to the next person in the batch. Please, do NOT claim a slot if you don't have the money to pay right away.

Hurt Backs and Setbacks
Posted 6 years agoI has them, and I will have them.
For a few days now Iāve had a persistent pain on my back - the lumbar area to be precise. While I hoped itād fade off with some rest and painkillers, it has not, so Iāve decided to take a break from drawing altogether, hoping that in a day or two it recovers. Hopefully I wonāt need to see somebody about (but will have to if it comes to that).
So for now, Iām afraid to say that commission work will suffer some delay, hopefully
a brief one. My apologies to everybody. Will keep you up to date and will let you know once Iām good to get things back on track - hereās hoping thatās tomorrow.

While I hoped itād fade off with some rest and painkillers, it has not, so Iāve decided to take a break from drawing altogether, hoping that in a day or two it recovers. Now that I caught your attention with that title, I have an important announcement to make...
I'm open for commissions again!
I've decided to earn some extra income in order to take care of some financial hurdles. Nothing jeopardizing, but better have some funds in case they're needed. Anyhow, that's all there is to know as far explanations. Bring in them comms!
Starting with a fixed batch of 6 slots. No extra slots will be added. HOWEVER, a second batch is planned after all commissions are done for this one. A 24-hour priority will be given to anyone who missed out on the first batch, meaning no who was in the first can get second grabs right away. After the 24 hours, however, if any slots are still available, anybody, including commissioners from the first batch, can claim a slot too.
Additionally, I'm applying the same rules from last commissions opening. Please read them carefully:
-Anthros only - no ferals, taurs, nagas or anything that doesn't walk on two legs. (With possible exceptions, please ask for more info)
-Instead of 5, images may now feature up to 6 characters as maximum (same character drawn more than once in the same pic counts as a separate character).
-I'll only allow 4 rounds of changes during the entire process, so please be concise and specific whenever you ask me to make changes to the drawing.
-Commissioners MUST pay full price as soon as it's their turn. If you're unable to pay within 24 hours, your turn will be given to the next person in the batch. Please, do NOT claim a slot if you don't have the money to pay right away.

1-Alternate versions of previous pics.
Some of which have been linked before, others brand new and even a few never seen before. I admit these will be mostly filler between any new content, but I hope these will entertain nonetheless, specially for those who donāt follow the links in my image descriptions!

In order to support the comic financially, Iāve decided to start a Patreon exclusively for explicit Windborn artwork! However, all images posted there will be publicly released after a period of time. More details, such as launch date and prices will come soon, but if you want to support Windborn and would like to see its main characters being lewd and sexy, consider joining in once it goes live!

Slow Months Ahead - Incoming Reposts
Posted 6 years agoHey, everyone! Bassy here with a heads up. In the upcoming months, starting roughly around December 1st, you might notice a change of pace in my gallery. After evaluating my current working situation, I've decided to slow down quite significantly on production of non-paid personal art.
Besides Kalo images and a couple of already planned Holidays/New Years image, you may not see me post a whole lot of brand new art. To somewhat fill in that gap and keep things active, I plan to post alternate versions of previously posted images - some already linked, but not posted on my gallery, while some never posted before (such as SFW edits).
Windborn will continue to be posted on its regular schedule unless otherwise announced.
Hopefully by the end of next year's first quarter I'll be able to pick up the pace a bit once again. Thanks for reading and I'll keep you all updated!

November SFW Nude Edits - Any Requests?
Posted 6 years agoSo a few people have asked me if I ever planned on doing any more SFW edits of my nude drawings. And after giving it some thought, I figured, why not? Depending on the pic, it's not that hard to do and doesn't take a whole lot of time. So as a little side-project, I've decided to do some SFW nude edits starting today and only until the end of the November.
So, which nude drawing of mine would be interested in seeing "clean"-ify?" If you have one in mind, link me to it and let me know down below!
GUIDELINES AND CLARIFICATIONS:
-By SFW nude edits, we're talking turning something like THIS into THIS.
-I will not draw any new pics. I will only edit drawings that are already made.
-I will only edit drawings I've drawn myself. I WON'T EDIT ANYONE ELSE'S DRAWINGS!
-I will not edit drawings of OCs that don't belong to me, UNLESS you are the owner of said OCs.
-If the edit requires it to be re-drawn significantly, I may refuse to edit it. Examples include characters in elaborate sexual positions and/or characters covered in clothes, amont others.
-Both male and female nudes can be requested, although keep in mind female ones are considerably easier to edit and thus more likely for me to accept.
-Pics with more than one characters can also be requested, but the less characters in it the more likely I'll accept to edit it.
As a disclaimer, do not expect the edits to be completed right away since I have a lot of other stuff to work on first, but during any spare time I have I'll attempt to work on at least a few. Please do not make multiple messages or flood me with requests - nagging me about it will only discourage me from doing edits altogether.
Last but not least, I will be posting the edits on Sta.sh and post a link to them. I may upload only a few select ones to FA to avoid flooding my gallery with them. If you have further questions, as always let me know!

Posted 6 years agoBassy here! First of all, a big, BIG thank you for everyone who got to commission me this last open batch! I was able to draw some really interesting pics thanks to all of you. Hope you enjoy them!
For everyone else who didn't manage to get a slot in time, I'm sad to say that I have no current plans to re-open any time soon as kalofoxfire and I intend to resume our exclusive arrangement once more (of which you can read all about read here.).
Only time will tell when I will be doing open commissions like this again, and I want to make no promises to anyone. Until then, however, I hope you continue enjoying my work, cause I still have plenty of it on the works!~

However, my arrangement with Kalo is still ongoing and thus all commissions drawn for him are done completely separate from my normal, batch-based ones.

Good day, peeps! Itās Bassy here again.
Recently, Iāve been getting messages from different people asking me if Iām open for commissions. As some of you already know, Iāve been closed from doing commissions for about a year already (which I explained in a long journal back then). That said, for those who may still not be aware, specially my more recent watchers who werenāt around then, I figured I could give the more-or-less abridged version of whatās my deal with commissions.
To put it as simple as I can: no, I am not open for commissions, and have no plan to reopen any time soon, for anybody...with ONE exception. User KaloFoxFire, with whom I have a special arrangement with, is the only person Iām doing commissions for and we plan on keeping that arrangement for as long as we can.
Iām sure there are many who arenāt one bit happy with me doing commissions exclusively for one person and I can totally understand why. Iām really flattered that thereās plenty of you who would love get artwork from me and are willing to pay for it, so be assured that this arrengement wasnāt made with the purpose of excluding you from commissioning me.
I wonāt go over the details for privacy reasons, so Iāll just quickly reatirate a few points I made on the original journal:
-Iām the one who approached Kalo and offered him this arrengement, which he accepted, not the other way around.
-The āwhyā of the arrengement is because, simply put, itās better for my finances and personal convenience.
-Iām still perfectly able to work on my personal drawings with this arrangement. In fact, Kalo himself has kindly sponsored many of my personal drawings which Iāve posted here.
Also note that Wolfeh is still largely inactive as an artist and is therefore completely unavailable for commissions of any sort, with no plans to going back to it in the future.
I hope this clears out any doubts you may have about why Iām not open for commissions. If you still have any unansewered questions, feel free to ask. I may not be able to give full clear answers to all of them (both for me and Kaloās privacy) but Iāll try to be as transparent as possible regardless.

sammfeatblueheart a pretty talented artist and very amazing guy all around!
He does both SFW and NSFW work. He has a nice, soft style that can be both cute and wholesome and incredibly sexy and erotic at the same time! He's also a musician with lots of potential. He doesn't have a lot of time to work on NSFW or music stuff as of late, but he does his best to make time for it when he can.
If you don't mind waiting a bit for his erotic art, or are interested in his cleaner stuff, I seriously recommend checking him out! I've commissioned him many times in the past and he's always been great to work with. His prices are very reasonable too.
