Posted 12 years agoMy mother is still not used to my highway driving. I take a lot from the Germans I have noticed. I don't really get into the left lane unless I need to pass, and I never pass on the right of a 3 lane highway, and I usually cruise about .... 15 mph or 25 kph over the speed limit. Though in Alabama, no one really follows the speed limit on the highways. They usually go about 80mph/~130kph. I go until the car starts shaking and then cruise just under that speed usually. xD
I HAVE A RADIO STATION!!! ;D
Posted 12 years agoIt's on Grooveshark. Here's a link to it. constantly adding songs, which at last count was 129 songs in 5 languages, you should find something you like. xD There's music in English, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, and Chinese so far.

Posted 13 years agoYou people need to release Ace Combat Soundtracks more often.
Near The Border (Epilogue) from Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War
First Flight from Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War
Supercircus from Ace Combat 5
Emancipation from Ace Combat 4: Shattered Skies/Distant Thunder
Zero from Ace Combat Zero
and I'm sorry Amazon.com, but $84 for the Ace Combat 5 CD is a bit much. There needs to be more supply than that.

Well my New Years has been odd on the first day
Posted 13 years agoSo I'm riding in my friend's Jeep called Sheila to the movie theater in town. We take the short highway there (Highway 82/Highway 6 for Montgomery/Prattville/Millbrook furs) to Cobbs Ford Road to the Carmike Cinema 12 theatre. Next to us there's this green Nissan Exterra with at first glance, a man in a beanie driving. Nope... It's a woman with her hair in a gigantic bun.... and she's screaming at her phone. She lets the anchor fly because she doesn't want to take the one way to Millbrook side of 82, and she stops in the middle of the road and goes through the grass to follow us and take the left like they're wanting to go to the Prattville Walmart. Before taking the turn she stops again, right next to us, yells at her phone (at this time we're both looking at her like she's absolutely bat shit insane), and then storms westbound down Cobbs Ford Road.
Is this an omen for the rest of my year? Am I going to have to drive like Queen Latifah in Taxi or Jackie Chan in The Tuxedo every time I go into town? Oh hell no, this is gonna be one ****** up year if that's how it's gonna go down. mmmm.mmm..mm....

Ace Combat 4 Rant
Posted 13 years agoAfter going through hell and back on The Siege of Farbanti (mission 17) in expert mode, you really give me the rest of the Yellow Squadron which flies like a bunch of lunatics!? in the last mission, still in expert mode, I shot down EVERY SINGLE MEMBER OF THAT SQUADRON IN TWO DAMN MINUTES!!! TWO MINUTES!!! I have nearly 14 minutes left and I've already killed the ace for the stage.... why the hell did the Eruseans only have one GOOD squadron and then have a bunch of practice targets? Really? Forget you idiots, I'm lighting up Megalith now. Yellow 13 and Yellow 4 were some of the most notable pilots of the Yellow Squadron, but Jean-Louis.... You ain't got nothin' on 13. Don't even try.... Oh wait, that's right, you were the 4th one I shot down so right now you should be floating in the Atlantic ocean... Have fun, but remember to be on your a-game next time..... IF there's a next time my dear Jean-Louis... Gene.... You're no better. Shut up and find Jean-Louis already...
-edit-
1 hour and 13 minutes later (thanks to me wanting to finish with 000% damage) I have Ace mode unlocked. Happy Greg is happy. >=3

Back to the old school
Posted 13 years agoRelatively speaking at least. I'm playing Tekken 4 and falling in love with the series all over again. What got me started was that some of my friends have the newer games like Tekken 6 and Tekken Tag Team 2, and now I've been looking for some of the games for the PS2. Ironically, we found a great looking copy of Tekken 4 at a thrift shop like I said in my last journal, and so far i haven't been able to put it down. I'm a bit interested in why Lee Chaolan has purple hair in this game, but I'm glad he's in it nonetheless. I've also found that I'm still great with Marshall Law in this game just like I was when I first played it about 7 years ago. I need to put it down though. My fingers are getting the impressions from the back of the controller on them and they're not going away yet. x3
Thrift Shop Memoirs
Posted 13 years agoToday was an interesting day to say the least. I was planning on going somewhere to find an old vacuum for a friend of mine. He'd buy it, use it, but keep it at my house since no one at his cares for anything and he tries his best to care for his stuff. The first place we went to we found one of those old Singer ones that you would most likely find in an average home in the mid 80's I would say, but it wasn't exactly what I was looking for. They also have stairs, and trying to vacuum with one of those would be annoying for anyone. At least the bag wouldn't need to be emptied from only one floor of carpet. We went to a second thrift shop and found some very interesting side items. I bought myself Tekken 4 and my friend bought me an MCS dual deck cassette player. Some very interesting finds, seeing as how I still make my own but am getting a bit annoyed by another friend's tape deck making the sound's a bit funny. After that seeing as how neither of us had a lot of money, I came home and got the roll of bills that I keep from when I take all my change to a coinstar. In total it was about $26. My friend had another $17 and I'm glad he did. At the last place we looked at we found an old Panasonic vacuum from about 2007 or so. It looked to be in great condition except for a worn belt and a full bag, but it even came with an extra extension hose and extension wand, for only $35. It looked like it had been used rarely at best, seeing as there were some white scuff marks on it, but when I tried it out, even the headlight worked (though I might get a brighter one soon...) but the belt was toast. When we got it home, it was kind of ironic. I found out how to get into the floor nozzle pretty easily, and the machine even came with a spare belt, operators manual, and parts catalog along with it's already discovered extras. After I figured out how to get the covers (yes there's two of them for the roller brush) off the brush, it was fairly easy to get the old one out. And not a minute to soon either. It was cracking into all these triangles on the outer part and the inner part was literally melted in places. I could tell that it was never opened that far though, because I found the spare belt holder behind the height selector, under the outer nozzle cover. for $35 plus tax.... Not a bad deal at all...
And as a side note to some of the oddities we found, we found a leather rack in the last thrift shop with some pretty nice stuff in it. I found a few pairs of boots that caught my eye, but nothing could compare to what was on the rack.... A fanny pack made with leather dyed to the Mexican flag. I HAD to take a picture.
I found your birthday gift. XD http://fc04.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2.....ml-d5is64g.jpg

Posted 13 years agoBetween a guard rail and the side of a truck, WHO IN CREATION GAVE YOU A LICENSE TO DRIVE?! I'm serious. the road goes from 2 lanes to one and there's a tree truck in the front of the line. If you can see that there might not be enough space between me and the person in front of me, don't try to pass me! Plus, how dare you put your family in that kind of situation where you will either get one car ahead going or run down a ditch under a bridge? I saw your passenger in the back look at me. Don't think I didn't flip you off. And the sad thing? You were only in the next county over. How low are the standards in Elmore County for getting a driver's license?! I mean really? And you're lucky I didn't pass you in the grass. That'll be some crazy shit going down in Alabama! Just be damn lucky I didn't box your ass in at the bridge!

If you ever get an Acer
Posted 13 years agoThe first thing to go might be the hard drive. Finally after about two years, I was able to take my Aspire 7741z out of its box and replace the hard drive with this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ.....82E16822178240 , but mine was $80. Apparently, they started bumping the price up by $10 a week for the past month. I ordered it and a 4GB RAM stick for a total of ~$108 with standard shipping and it finally got here. I was able to use my factory backup disks (THIS IS WHY YOU MAKE THEM TO BEGIN WITH!) to put windows 7 back on it. Now instead of 3GB of memory, it has 6GB, plus a 500GB hybrid drive instead of the crap 250GB WD hard drive. Everything's running nice and fast too :D I'm liking the hybrid part of the drive, but it does get warm compared to my dad's HP on the palm rest. Something about designs I guess. Plus, I went from a 5400 rpm platter speed to 7200 rpm speed. I guess that's the tradeoff for the faster speed. More heat, but at least it's working. :D
