Why I voted blue

Why? There's a giant difference between Kamala and the rancid orange turd. They are neck and neck right now. How that's possible is very hard to believe. Trump will use every dirty legal and illegal trick in the book. And nobody will find him accountable. Except Democrats. Most Republicans have selective memory and hearing when Trump shits out more ridiculous lies.
I've lived through all of Richard Nixon's presidency, and he at least had the decency to resign. A criminal? Yes no doubt. You think those four miserable years Trump was president was terrible? Just wait if he gets re-elected.
This is like a nightmare that doesn't end. Pray Kamala gets enough electoral votes. Then we can relax and send that orange clown to prison.

Been raining 2 days straight
Posted 2 years agoThis bear and his Minotaur and wolfy friends are trapped in So Cal by monsoon level rainfall. Hard to remember when it got this heavy. They're blaming it on El Nino and Global Warming.
Got a couple of text alerts about possible flooding. Really hard to take the doggies out in this storm. Luckily we are in a fairly flat area, not prone to landslides or runoff.
Will update the news if it looks like Noah's Ark time.

Urinary infection and kidney stone
Posted 3 years agoHad to call 911 and go to the freaking hospital. Again.
Oh, it's so much fun to get old and sick. Woke up at 3:00 a.m. Intense searing pain in my wang and bladder. Fuck shit damn auggggggggggggh make it stop!!
Blood in the pee, there was. Finally got seen after an eternity of waiting. Blood tests, urine sample. Did they taste it? Hmm. Cat scan. No Puss and Boots. :(
Long story longer, tests showed a definite urinary tract infection (UTI) and kidney stone in my (duh) kidney. Got an IV drip of antibiotics, and prescription.
Whew! Feeling lots better. Please remind me to eat more sensibly and drink more agua.

Spoiler Alert: Pinocchio
Posted 3 years agoOk, just watched the latest live action/CGI movie made from a true Disney masterpiece, Pinocchio. What can I say...!

Aside from a few good moments, this is an overlong, "politically correct", misfire of that great animated cartoon. Bloated, with many pointless forgetful musical numbers added to extend the viewing time.
They screwed up the CGI Dumbo, they did the same to this.
The Blue/Black fairy. Looked nice, she can sing, but did they absolutely have to change her race?
An added on character in Stromboli's wagon. Handicapped. Why they didn't add a gay character is anybodies guess.
Monstro was changed from a whale, to a whale-ish tentacled creature. Kids can't hate on whales.
THE WORST PART.... Pinocchio didn't turn into a real boy. WTF!! Yes you read that right.
So, it becomes clear why this wasn't released to the movie theaters. Ugh.

You've doubtlessly known of a Warner Bros character called Foghorn Leghorn. Been watching WB toons since I was wee cub.
An hour ago I stumbled on a 1947 b&w movie called 'It's A Joke, Son!' The main over-the-top character is a southern crackpot called Senator Beauregard Claghorn. The way he loudly talks is so close to Foghorn it's amazing. He believes all northern states should be southern. And the south never lost the war. *shrugs*
Everything about him screams Foghorn Leghorn. It couldn't be clearer. I suppose at the time this comedy was written it was funny. Now it's just cringe inducing.

Still taking prescriptions for BP, cholesterol, blood thinners and vertigo. Feeling better methinks. Only occasional
minor dizziness. Brain has adjusted. I hope.
Meanbeard and I finally saw A Quiet Place part 2 in a movie theater. Been over a year since we went to an actual theater. Was very good imho. Filled in some missing details from the first film. Only twitched two times for the jump scares. Heh.

Posted 4 years agoToday is Wednesday... this happened Monday.
Had another one, extreme vertigo and nausea. Called paramedics and sent to hospital.
Spent 1 more day there after 3rd MRI. No new probs. Doc said was probably more of the same. Sent bear home with 2 new meds
for dizzyness. Resting now. Mmmm... let ya knows.

Dozens of tests, most names can't remember. Basically when a patient has a stroke, there's nothing they can do about it. Lots of new meds to treat hypertension, bp and stuff.

Borderlands 2 and other stuffs
Posted 5 years agoThrough the dammed heat this bear has been sweating and playing (yes I know it's very dated) Borderlands 2. In a word: WOWS.
Played Borderlands 1 ages ago. Got this one at a very reasonable $8. Game of the year. Yes now I realize why. Crazy over the top characters. Mountains of LOOT. Very funny voice acting. HUGE freaking maps and missions that go on forever.
My style of play, cuz I'm so dammed old and slow is a deliberate pace (very slow), wipe out the baddies, pick up EVERYTHING and level up.
Other stuffs: Do I need to remind anyone that The Orange Mold is beyond pathetic, lies about everything, is trying to run this nation like a vile dictator, blames everyone for his failures, and lastly thinks he can fool us into thinking his presidential pardon of Susan B Anthony is anything more than a bullshit attempt to win female votes, when his track record towards women is well known.

Diablo III oh yes. FINALLY was able to download and play it to the end. Furry thumbs up!
Grim Dawn. Very Diablo-ish. Much harder gameplay. Worth the $ imho.
Now playing Torchlight II. Nice graphics and the pet system is very good. Torchlight III coming out this year. Prolly.
Anywho that's all the news that's fit to print. :)

Disneyland and Disney California Adventure will close Saturday morning through the end of the month, company officials said. The company said it will refund hotel bookings during the closure.
“While there have been no reported cases of COVID-19 at Disneyland Resort, after carefully reviewing the guidelines of the governor of California’s executive order and in the best interest of our guests and employees, we are proceeding with the closure of Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure, beginning the morning of March 14 through the end of the month,” Walt Disney Co. said in a statement Thursday afternoon.
Also read Universal Studios are following suit. Guess visitors who planned their vacations around these are kinda screwed. :(
