Hey, so

Iiiii have been MIA this week because I have been in the hospital since Tuesday morning.

I had an absolute load (6!!) gallstones in my common bile duct, and had to have a procedure to remove the blockage. Following that, today I had a procedure to remove my gallbladder.

It is looking like I should be discharged tomorrow. I then have a little bit of a recovery ahead.

I however, like many artists, do not have insurance. I am looking at what will be massive bill I have very little way to pay off.

I will probably be launching one of America's most fucked up health care funding, a GoFundMe. Probably sometime in the next few days.

Because multiple nights in the hospital and 2 surgeries is gonna be fucking expensive.

I'm driving out today to pick up my new puppy tomorrow.

Heyo! Happy New Year! Let's hope 2024 is a better year than the last!

So, With the New Year, I'm rolling out some new prices for Queued Commissions. You can check them out Here. I have to raise them because I realized that I was working for under minimum wage for the hours I was spending on them, and I had to value my own time appropriately.

If you want to try to nab cheaper commissions from me, you can come to my PWYW streams.

I'll be working on Commissions in my Queue on Sundays in the early afternoon and Mondays. Once I wrap up my current d&d I'm DMing, I'll swap that to Saturday and Monday. If I don't have queued commissions to work on, I'll be producing personal work and YCHs, so keep an eye out for those.

I also am going to be trying to work quite a fair amount in the beginning of the year. After the passing of my dog earlier this year, me and partner have put in an application with a dog breeder to bring home a new pup at some point this year. They have a bit of a waitlist, so I can't say with certainty when it'll be, but there will probably be a month this year that I'm a bit hard to reach as I go through the initial training of the lil bug. I'd like to try to save up a buffer for this time.

In regards to uploading in the past year, I also have been absolutely horrible about actually uploading work to here. I am going to try not to be so bad about that in the coming year, but I am pretty good about uploading to my discord server. So if you want to join that and get to see my art a lil more consistently, you are quite welcome.

I will be opening up some Queued Commissions in February once I clear some backlog I have.

My ancient desktop from 2014 is starting to show some signs that could indicate it finally be kicking the bucket in the near future. Namely, USB peripherals starting to have issues being recognized without multiple attempts unplugging and plugging them back in (including my tablet), applications bugging and closing, etc. The only original components at this point are the CPU and the Motherboard, which with the USB issue, I'm thinking mobo. There isn't much point in trying to replace only the motherboard unfortunately. [Edit: I talked with someone who knows computers much more than me and she has stated my issues could be solved by reinstalling Windows, so I'll be trying that this weekend! But, in my mind, I really do need to save for this before it becomes an emergency, so this sale will still be running.]

So I'm opening up a few wing it slots so I can replace it before it fails completely.

These will be done in the shaded style of my recent PWYW Sketches and each slot will be $100 for 1 character, or $200 for two. These will be done offline in the evenings after my daily stream, but should have a relatively fast turnaround (~1 month)

I'm hoping to take slots roughly equal to $1500 USD for these, so 7-15 slots, depending on how many 1 or two person slots people grab. I'm gonna be taking these first come, first serve, due to, again, wanting to replace my computer before it is an emergency.

So! My house is currently having some major construction done.

Hey all,

Just doing an update on life in summary.

We are still not settled fully into the new house. The kitchen is. Honestly a bit of a nightmare? We have to have it more or less taken down to the studs for a renovation. It is a good thing we hadn't though, because the roof (the 5 year old, very recently done, roof) started leaking tonight.

My HDD was on the cusp of failure in January and did in fact fail on some files. Nothing too major. But in swapping to a new SDD, I lost all of my brushes for Sai2 and had to change to a version that has... very odd. blending options. I know it is a program written and sold by one person, so I am hoping future updates fixes it, but it has been slowing me down a bit. That in addition to losing a desk to work at when just watching tv with my partner has been a major wrench in my whole deal.

My old pupper recently broke a tooth, and then was subsequently diagnosed with a heart murmur when we took him in to see about that, and when waiting to pay for his chest x-rays, was attacked by a dog and developed a 40cc combination-toma the week after. Red blood cells, white blood cells, and bacteria. Just real shit luck.

Honestly? Been a crap year.

I'm probably going to raise prices a bit soon to help with paying for my dog's cardiologist, my roof, paypal's ever increasing fees, and just fucking life.
