Needing your help! (Past furwalk footage)

We are looking for video footage of the “Music for Life” furwalks of 2015, 2018 and 2019.
We are also looking for pictures of the 2015 "Music for Life" furwalk in Mechelen.
There currently is only one surviving picture of that meet so we would love to find more.
(That year there was also a furwalk in Gent and the charity was "Kom op tegen kanker".)
If you can help us with any of those, please feel free to message us!

Carnaval 2020 CANCELLED! - COVID-19

As you all know by now, due to the measurements the Belgian government has taken to counter the recent COVID-19 outbreak, all public activities and events are cancelled until at least the 5th of April.
This of course also affects the Carnival meet, so hereby we confirm that this meet is cancelled as well.
Again a kind reminder to stay inside, wash your hands regularly, keep social distance, especially from the elderly and people with pre-existing medical conditions.
Keep yourself informed and follow the guidelines provided by the authorities. As mentioned before, more info can be found on the following website: https://www.info-coronavirus.be
We’ll have plenty of time to sociallise, meet up and do all kinds of fun stuff after this is over.

Carnaval 2020

Two years ago Chiropica got an invite from the Carnival group of Kapellen to join their annual parade. Now the Carnival group of the town of Kapellen has invited us once again to join the Carnival parade. We will walk with the parade in suit between other groups and decorated floats to entertain the people.
The parade will be on the 5th of april. We will meet in front of cc Lux at 12:30h at the market square of Kapellen. The address is Marktplein 1, 2950 Kapellen.
A place to change will be provided for us there. (no crack-house again this time!)
We have to be ready no later than 14:00h at our place in the parade.
The parade itself will start at 14:11h.
The carnival group only allows fursuiters to join the parade. An exeption will be made for a few spotters only. Everyone else is of course very much welcome to watch the parade and to join us for dinner and drinks afterwards!
There are a few ways to get there: by car, by train or by bus.
When coming by car, there should be enough (free) parking space in the streets nearby or at the parking at the Hoevensebaan. It's easy enough to get there when following instructions of your GPS.
There's a train station in Kapellen which is a 9min. walk from the market square and our meeting location.
When coming with the bus, the nearest bus stop is "Kapellen sevenhanslei." The bus lines you can take are 720, 780 and 781, coming from Antwerp (F. Rooseveltplaats)
As always, after the event there will be an option to have dinner together. At the moment we are working something out. More info about this will follow soon.

The organisation has asked us to identify the attendees. This is why we must ask you to give following information:
- Name and surname (your real name)
- Adress
- (a link to a) Picture of your suit
The main reason for this is because the police wants to know who is in the parade, since everyone has their face covered.
You don’t have to put your personal info here below for everyone to see, just send us a PM via Telegram (@vleermuiske, @Inkignito, or @Dice_Border_Collie)
This information is mandatory, you won't be able to join in if the information is incomplete. We need this info ASAP so we can organise everything in time. Deadline for suiters to sign up for this event is friday 06/03/2020. This is only nescessary for fursuiters. Spotters and spectators obviously don’t need to do this. Suiters must show up with the same suit as in the picture they sent. Fursuits must be in good condition and representable. The organization can deny suiters that don't fit this description.
Also a quick reminder that we have a TOS. By coming to our meet, we will presume you have read and agreed to these terms.
Keep in mind that this event will take place on the same weekend as FACTS!

Music for Life 2019 - Hasselt 14/12/2019

As the end of 2019 is slowly getting near, it’s time again for Music for Life.
Just like the previous years, we are going to participate again with a charity furwalk!
We obtained the necessary permits for fursuiting in public, so now we can officially announce that the MFL furwalk will again take place in Hasselt on the 14nd of december.
For the people that are new to this concept, we will do a fursuit walk in the city while collecting money for charity. That way we can do something for the good cause while doing what we do best and have fun.
But first, we need to decide which good cause we’re going to support, so we set up a poll with a few good causes you can chose from. --> https://twitter.com/BEfurs_official.....89336423313410
The poll will close wednesday 4/12/2019!
- Plant een bos:
The goal of this good cause is to create more forests in Flanders by buying and maintaining land and planting trees. This is all with the help of volunteers who take matters in their own hands in these times of climate change and a lack of action from the government. http://www.planteenbos.be/index.php
- Regenbooghuis Limburg:
Regenbooghuis Limburg is a safe haven for people from the LGBTQ+ community. They also aim to better inform the big public about gender- and sexuality diversity and everything that comes with it. https://www.regenbooghuislimburg.be
- Cosydogs:
The volunteers and their dogs of Cosydogs go visit nursing homes, hospitals, schools for people with special needs and families on a regular basis. Their goal is to transfer the therapeutic power of dogs to people and to break isolation. https://www.cosydogs.be
And now some practical information:
The meet will take place in Hasselt on saturday the 14nd of december.
We will gather at 13:00h at the “Kolonel Dusartplein” right in front of the library.
The best way to get to the Dusartplein is either by car or by train. There’s a car park underneath the Kolonel Dusartplein (Qpark, €2 per hour) or on the Koning Boudewijnlaan (free, but a 10min walk from the Dusartplein) From the train station there’s a shuttle bus every 10 minutes (de boulevard-pendel – De Lijn). The name of the bus stop is “Hasselt Dusartplein.”
A place where the suiters can get dressed and where you can store your belongings safely will be provided. We’ll wait for 15-30min for everyone to arrive before we go inside.
When the suiters are dressed and everyone is ready, we head out to the city center and do our thing.
At 17:00h at the latest we will return to our headquarters to change again.
At 18:00h we reserved a table at “het Borrelhuis” for dinner. After that, we can go to “Winterland” and have some jenevers, or have a drink elsewhere.
If you like to join us for dinner, please subscribe by leaving a comment below. We only have 20 spots, so don’t wait too long. If the 20 spots are taken, we will start up a waiting list. We can always try to reserve additional spots, but that’s no guarantee.
Also, to help out the restaurant, we were asked to keep our menu choices limited. If you like to join for dinner, please make your choice from the list below, so we can let the restaurant know in advance what we will order.

Waiting list restaurant:
Furmeet Japanse tuin Hasselt 07/09/19

In a little more then a week, on Saturday the 7nd of september, there’s again a cosplay festival in the “Japanse tuin” in Hasselt. It’s the perfect opportunity to meet up and have fun in a unique environment, especially for the fursuiters amongst us.
The garden is open from 10:00 a.m. We will be there around noon, but everyone is of course free to drop by whenever they want. The garden is small enough, so it should be pretty easy to spot our group.
Fursuiters and cosplayers enter for free, everyone else need to pay a small entrance fee of €6.
We will take a group picture at 15:00h. Gathering spot will be at the ceremony house next to the pond. Be on time if you want to be on the picture!
IMPORTANT NOTICE: This year all photographers who use professional material (DSRL camera’s, lenses, …) need to get a photography-license! This is not necessary if you want to take pictures with a smartphone. More info on the webpage below:

There is parking space nearby at the PXL campus or at the Koning Boudewijnlaan.
It’s also a short walk from the Kolonel Dusartplein for the people coming by public transport. From the train station, take the city bus H3 (direction “Trichterheide”) or line 45 (direction “Maaseik”). Get off at stop “Koning Boudewijnlaan.” Cross the street, take the stairs down and follow the bicycle path to the entrance of the garden.
At 18:00h we will then go to Hasselt, which is a short walk, where we can have dinner at "het Borrelhuis" and have a drink. This is with an open end, everyone is free to leave whenever they want.

In a little more then a week, on Saturday the 7nd of september, there’s again a cosplay festival in the “Japanse tuin” in Hasselt. It’s the perfect opportunity to meet up and have fun in a unique environment, especially for the fursuiters amongst us.
The garden is open from 10:00 a.m. We will be there around noon, but everyone is of course free to drop by whenever they want. The garden is small enough, so it should be pretty easy to spot our group.
Fursuiters and cosplayers enter for free, everyone else need to pay a small entrance fee of €6.
We will take a group picture at 15:00h. Gathering spot will be at the ceremony house next to the pond. Be on time if you want to be on the picture!
IMPORTANT NOTICE: This year all photographers who use professional material (DSRL camera’s, lenses, …) need to get a photography-license! This is not necessary if you want to take pictures with a smartphone. More info on the webpage below:

There is parking space nearby at the PXL campus or at the Koning Boudewijnlaan.
It’s also a short walk from the Kolonel Dusartplein for the people coming by public transport. From the train station, take the city bus H3 (direction “Trichterheide”) or line 45 (direction “Maaseik”). Get off at stop “Koning Boudewijnlaan.” Cross the street, take the stairs down and follow the bicycle path to the entrance of the garden.
At 18:00h we will then go to Hasselt, which is a short walk, where we can have dinner at "het Borrelhuis" and have a drink. This is with an open end, everyone is free to leave whenever they want.
If you like to join us for dinner, please subscribe by leaving a comment below, so we can reserve places for the right amount of people. (Max. 15 spots) Due to this, we do expect you to come if you subscribe.
Also, to help out the restaurant, we were asked to keep our menu choices limited. If you like to join for dinner, please make your choice from the list below, so we can let the restaurant know in advance what we will order.

When: Saturday May 11, the film showing of 19:45 (Ending at 21:44)
We will start gathering in front of the UGC ticket counter at 19:00 and will enter once our group is complete.
After the movie we will, depending on the size of our group, head to either “The Geeky Cauldron” or the “Outpost” for a chat and a drink!

You will have to obtain your ticket yourself and here are 3 ways to do so!

Price of a regular ticket is 10,90€ while the price of a student ticket is 9,40€.

Tomorrow is the big day!
We’ll be quite a large group so to guarantee everything goes smoothly, we have a few guidelines.
First of all, to make sure we don’t block any roads and to keep everything manageable, we’ll split up in two groups. Don’t worry, we come back together afterwards and we’ll meet a few times along the way.
We already made two groups, you can see the list below.
Also, we’re all adults, so you can switch up if you like. We just need two balanced groups to make it easier for us to manage.
vinniefox will lead the first group, and 
the~frozen~neroj the second group. We will provide coloured stickers so you can easily spot your group.
We will have a group of spotters (you can recognise them with the fluo vests) that will assist the suiters and keep an eye out. They will also guide the groups through the city. Follow their instructions so things can go smooth.
Please check the prices of the menu you chose and the drinks and bring the correct amount of money. That way, the whole payment process will be a lot easier and faster. Also, bring small change if possible, that’s always greatly appreciated.
And finally a small summary of the planning tomorrow:
We meet up in Hasselt.
We gather at 13:00h at the “Kolonel Dusartplein,” right in front of the library. We wait for about 15-30 minutes for everyone to arrive before going inside. We have provided a space where the suiters can get dressed and to safely store your belongings.

As we now have our permit approved, it’s time to share with you the last details of this years MFL meet.
As said before, the Music for Life meet will again take place in Hasselt. This will be on saturday the 22nd of December.
We will gather at 13:00h at the “Kolonel Dusartplein” right in front of the library.
We have arranged a place where the suiters can get dressed and where you can store your belongings safely. We’ll wait for 15-30min for everyone to arrive before we go inside.
When the suiters are dressed and everyone is ready, we head out to the city center and do our thing; Walking around in fursuit and make people happy while collecting money for charity! For those who missed it, this year’s charity is the ALS Liga. More information about this good cause and why we chose it, can be found in the previous journal over here:
At 17:00h at the latest we will return to our headquarters to change again and count the money.
At 18:00h we reserved a table at “het Borrelhuis” for dinner. Be aware that all spots are already taken at the moment, but we have a waiting list.
Also, because we are a quite big group, we’ve been asked to limit our menu choices to these 4 options:

- Spare Ribs - €19,75
- Spaghetti Carbonara - €14,25
- Veggie burger - €14,25
Don’t forget to let us know which option you like by leaving a note below. Please do this by wednesday 19/12, because we need to let the restaurant know this in time. We kindly ask to bring enough cash to make our job a bit easier.
For the people on the waiting list, there are many other good food places nearby on the Badderijstraat like a wok restaurant, an Italian restaurant, a frituur, and much more.
The best way to get to the Dusartplein is either by car or by train. There’s a car park underneath the Kolonel Dusartplein (Qpark, €2 per hour) or on the Koning Boudewijnlaan (free, but a 10min walk from the Dusartplein) From the train station there’s a shuttle bus every 10 minutes (de boulevard-pendel – De Lijn). The name of the bus stop is “Hasselt Dusartplein.”
For the fursuiters; make sure your suit is in good condition and representable. We want people to come close and give us money, not to run away from us.
Luckily we never had to do it before, but we will deny suiters who don’t fit this description.
Registration for fursuiters is already closed!
For the non-fursuiters; we are in need of spotters! If you want to volunteer, please do let us know, it will be greatly appreciated!
Don’t worry if you don’t have experience in spotting, You’re not alone when doing this job and a lot of experienced spotters are always willing to help.
Also a quick reminder that we have a TOS. By coming to our meet, we will presume you have read and agreed to these terms.

Music for Life 2018 - Hasselt 22/12/2018

UPDATE: Dinner reservations are now closed. We will put up a waiting list in case of cancellations.
UPDATE 2: Fursuiter registration is now closed.
As the end of 2018 is slowly getting near, it’s time again for Music for Life.
Just like the previous years, we are going to participate again with a charity furwalk!
We are currently in the process of obtaining the necessary permits for fursuiting in public but if all goes well, the MFL furwalk will again take place in Hasselt on the 22nd of december.
Usually around this time we set up a poll to decide which good cause we’re going to support. This year however, we decided to go for the ALS Liga and we have multiple reasons for that.
ALS is a terrible and incurable disease which affects the central nerve system. It starts with loss of motoric capabilities, loss of strength, degradation of muscle tissue and ultimatly, death. After diagnosis, life expectancy is about 3-5 years. It doesn’t need to be said that the consequences of this disease are severe, not only for the victim, but also for friends, families, colleagues and everyone involved.
Recently, a furry in the US named Dogbomb was also diagnosed with ALS. Despite his condition he still keeps up a positive attitude and encourages everyone to cherish and enjoy life. A lot of furries in the US mobilised to help him and joined in different charity events to help people with ALS, and this tells a lot in times where negativity lingers in the furry fandom.
Inspired by his brave battle, we decided to support the fight against this horrible disease.
With that being said, there will be a few minor changes this year.
Due to personal life of the organisors and the fact that it gets more and more difficult to get the right permits, we will only do one fursuit walk this year.

We will gather at 13:00h at the “Kolonel Dusartplein” right in front of the library.
There will be a place where the suiters can get dressed and where you can store your belongings safely. We’ll wait for 15-30min for everyone to arrive before we go inside.
When the suiters are dressed and everyone is ready, we head out to the city center and do our thing.
At 17:00h at the latest we will return to our headquarters to change again.
At 18:00h we reserved a table at “het Borrelhuis” for dinner. After that, we can go to “Winterland” and have some jenevers, or have a drink elsewhere.
More info will follow as soon as we get the permits and have the last details covered.
Very important:
The police department asked to provide a list of all fursuiters.
If you like to join us and you are going to suit, please send us your (real) name, nickname, species and a picture of your fursuit. You can send this info to us via PM or via telegram. (@ExactCopyOfVinnie, @Inkignito, or @Dice_Border_Collie)
We need this info by monday evening, so we can send the list on tuesday. Fursuiters who don’t provide this info by monday are not allowed to suit in public, and thus can’t join us on the walk!!!

As the end of 2018 is slowly getting near, it’s time again for Music for Life.
Just like the previous years, we are going to participate again with a charity furwalk!
We are currently in the process of obtaining the necessary permits for fursuiting in public but if all goes well, the MFL furwalk will again take place in Hasselt on the 22nd of december.
Usually around this time we set up a poll to decide which good cause we’re going to support. This year however, we decided to go for the ALS Liga and we have multiple reasons for that.
ALS is a terrible and incurable disease which affects the central nerve system. It starts with loss of motoric capabilities, loss of strength, degradation of muscle tissue and ultimatly, death. After diagnosis, life expectancy is about 3-5 years. It doesn’t need to be said that the consequences of this disease are severe, not only for the victim, but also for friends, families, colleagues and everyone involved.
Recently, a furry in the US named Dogbomb was also diagnosed with ALS. Despite his condition he still keeps up a positive attitude and encourages everyone to cherish and enjoy life. A lot of furries in the US mobilised to help him and joined in different charity events to help people with ALS, and this tells a lot in times where negativity lingers in the furry fandom.
Inspired by his brave battle, we decided to support the fight against this horrible disease.
With that being said, there will be a few minor changes this year.
Due to personal life of the organisors and the fact that it gets more and more difficult to get the right permits, we will only do one fursuit walk this year.

In a few days, on Sunday the 2nd of september, there’s a cosplay festival in the “Japanse tuin” in Hasselt. It’s the perfect opportunity to meet up and have fun in a unique environment, especially for the fursuiters amongst us.
The garden is open from 10:00 a.m. We will be there around noon, but everyone is of course free to drop by whenever they want. The garden is small enough, so it should be pretty easy to spot our group.
Fursuiters and cosplayers enter for free, everyone else need to pay a small entrance fee of €6.
There is parking space nearby at the PXL campus or at the Koning Boudewijnlaan.
It’s also a short walk from the Kolonel Dusartplein for the people coming by public transport. From the train station, take the city bus H3 (direction “Trichterheide”) or line 45 (direction “Maaseik”). Get off at stop “Koning Boudewijnlaan.” Cross the street, take the stairs down and follow the bicycle path to the entrance of the garden.
At 18:00h we will then go to Hasselt, which is a short walk, where we can have dinner at "het Borrelhuis" and have a drink. This is with an open end, everyone is free to leave whenever they want.
If you like to join us for dinner, please subscribe by leaving a comment below, so we can reserve places for the right amount of people. (Max. 15 spots) Due to this, we do expect you to come if you subscribe.

In a few weeks it's time for our zoo meet. So far subscribtions have been more successful than we anticipated. This means all spots are already taken.
We have, however, a waiting list for the tour behind the scenes for which you can apply. When someone cancels for the tour, that spot will go to the first one on the waiting list and so on.
Where the tour has a fixed maximum number of attendees, the restaurant and skybar haven't. At the moment we are trying to reserve more spots for those.
Now an important question for those who applied for the tour, dinner and/or drinks but are on the waiting list:
Are you interested in joining for just dinner and/or drinks in case you can't have a spot for the tour?
Please let us know ASAP! (Friday evening at the latest!)
When you are planning not to come when there are no free spots for the tour, we can pass on your spots for dinner and drinks to people who need them. (IF we can manage to reserve additional spots for drinks and dinner of course.)

Ever wondered what the zoo looks like behind the scenes?
Then this is your chance, because we are organizing an exclusive tour behind the scenes of the Antwerp zoo.
Sounds interesting? Read along, but be sure to subscribe quickly though, the spots available are limited!
On Saturday 11/08/2018 we will go to the Antwerp zoo. As mentioned above, a guided tour behind the scenes is part of our program!
We will gather in front of the main entrance of the zoo, right next to train station “Antwerpen Centraal” (Koningin Astridplein 20-26, 2018 Antwerpen) at 12:30h.
The guided tour itself will start at 13:00h, so we shall enter the zoo about 10 minutes in advance at the latest.
After the tour, there will be plenty of time to roam around freely and to visit your favorite animals.
At 16:45 at the latest we will gather again at the entrance of the zoo to go get some dinner. Because of the distances and the fact that the city centre will be too crowded due to the Antwerp Pride, we decided to stay in the vicinity of the zoo.
After a short walk, at 17:00h we are expected at Wagamama, an amazing ramen and Asian food restaurant. (you can view the menu here.) Is Asian food not your thing? There are plenty of other good restaurants and eating places nearby.
After dinner, we have one last surprise to close off the day. We have reserved some spots at the skybar, which is a short walk from Wagamama and right next to the train station. This is a fancy cocktail bar at the top floor of a hotel with an amazing view over the Antwerp skyline. (And depending on where we are seated, we can even view the zoo from above!) Our time slot starts at 19:30h, which is early enough so people who need to catch a train can still enjoy a drink at this unique place. (Take a look here. and here.)

We gather at 12:30h in front of the Antwerp zoo, right next to the station (Koningin Astridplein 20-26, 2018 Antwerpen) There we will have an exclusive tour behind the scene and enough time to roam around freely afterwards.
At 17:00h we will go to Wagamama to have dinner (see the menu here.)
At 19:30h we will end the day at the Skybar with cocktails and an amazing view over Antwerp.

We have an important update in regards to dinner and our meeting location.
1) We originally reserved some dinner spots at "Biblo". Sadly misfortune has struck them and they are now bankrupt. They are closing their doors for good.
Because of this we will now have dinner at the Chinese restaurant "Bambou".

chiropica has a solid idea to give everyone the chance to suit again! Confetti all around because we're going to celebrate Carnival!
The Carnival group of the town of Kapellen has invited us to join their Carnival parade. We will walk with the parade in suit between other groups and decorated floats to entertain the people.
The parade will be on 18 march. We will meet at 12:30h at the market square of Kapellen. The address is Silvesterdreef 15-3, 2950 Kapellen.
A place to change will be provided for us.
We have to be ready at 14:00h at our place in the parade.
The parade itself will start at 14:15h.
The carnival group only allows fursuiters to join the parade. An exeption will be made for a few spotters only. Everyone else is of course very much welcome to watch the parade and to join us for dinner and drinks afterwards!
There are a few ways to get there: by car, by train or by bus.
When coming by car, there should be enough (free) parking space in the streets nearby. It's easy enough to get there when following instructions of your GPS.
There's a train station in Kapellen which is a 9min. walk from the market square and our meeting location.
When coming with the bus, the nearest bus stop is "Kapellen sevenhanslei." The bus lines you can take are 720, 780 and 781, coming from Antwerp (F. Rooseveltplaats)
At 18:00h we will go to restaurant Biblo to have dinner. There are only 16 spots available for us so if you want to join, let us know by leaving a reply below.
To make things easier for the restaurant, they asked us to limit our menu choices to these four options:
- Pasta bolognese (€12,5)
- Ribs with home-made sauce (€18,5)
- Veggie wok with penne, curry and cocos (€18,5)
- Home made beef stew (stoofvlees) (€16,95)

This information is mandatory, you won't be able to join in if the information is incomplete. We need this info ASAP so we can organise everything in time. Deadline for suiters to sign up for this event is friday 16/02/2018. This is only nescessary for fursuiters. Spotters and spectators obviously don’t need to do this. Suiters must show up with the same suit as in the picture they sent. Fursuits must be in good condition and representable. The organization can deny suiters that don't fit this description. Important: For this event, we have a limit of 15 suiters and 5 spotters. So if you want to join, don't wait too long to sign up!

first of all a very big thank you for everyone who was present last weekend. Despite the bad weather and bad road conditions that made it very difficult to get to Hasselt for some of you, you still came! We're so happy and so proud that many of you still wanted to do their best for charity, even under these exceptional circumstances. Thanks to you we still made €412,74! Well done!
With that being said, it's time to finally share the last details for the MFL meet this weekend (16/12/2017).
As mentioned before, it will be in Antwerp. We will gather at 13:00h in front of Interparking Meir (Eiermarkt 33, 2000 Antwerpen)
Again we have arranged a place where the suiters can get dressed, we will go there once everyone is present. (We'll wait 15-30min for everyone to arrive.)
When the suiters are dressed and everyone is ready, we head out to the city center and do our thing; Walking around in fursuit and make people happy while collecting money for charity! (For those who missed it, this year’s charity is Stichting Alzheimeronderzoek)
At 17:00h at the latest we will return to our headquarters to change again.
At 18:00h, after a short walk, we can have dinner at Amadeus, a famous all you can eat spare ribs restaurant.
We have 20 spots available, so if you want to join, please let us know by leaving a note below. There's also a vegetarian option. Ribs are €17,95 and the veggie option €13,75. A pint of beer is €3,60 and a soda is €2,25. Please bring the right amount of cash to make our job easier. You can find the menu here.
A few notes on how to get there:
Let's face it, Antwerp is hell on earth when talking about accessibility.
First option is, though we do NOT recommend it, to go there by car. There's a big chance there will be no parking space left at Interparking Meir. There are several other car parks nearby as well, it's best to follow the signs of the "P-route." Be careful, all car parks are paying and are NOT cheap. The only free parking option is the car park at Sint-Michielskaai. This is a 10-15min walk, and also here will probably be no parking space left.
Second and most recommended option is to go there by public transport. From Antwerp Central station, you can take tram 11 or 24 (stop "Antwerpen Melkmarkt") or premetro line 3 or 5 direction Linkeroever/Zwijndrecht (stop "Antwerpen Groenplaats")
People coming by car from East- and West Flanders (E17 and E34), you can park your car at P+R Melsele, Krijgsbaan 43, 2070 Zwijndrecht. From here, you can take line 3 directly to our meeting point. Get off at stop "Antwerpen Groenplaats."
People coming by car from "de Kempen" and Limburg, you can park your car at P+R Wommelgem (E313/E34 exit "Wommelgem.") From here you can take line 8 to Antwerp Central station (stop "Astrid") and change to the lines mentioned above.
People coming by car from Brussels and Vlaams Brabant (A12 and E19), you can park your car at P+R Olympiade, Populierenlaan 2, 2020 Antwerpen. From here, you can take line 6 to Antwerp Central station (stop "Astrid") and change to the lines mentioned above.
For the fursuiters; make sure your suit is in good condition and representable. We want people to come close and give us money, not to run away from us.
Luckily we never had to do it before, but we will deny suiters who don’t fit this description. You can always note us if you’re not sure whether your suit is suitable or not.
For the non-fursuiters; we are in need of spotters! If you want to volunteer, please do let us know, it will be greatly appreciated!
Right now it seems we can have bad luck with the weather again, so bring those umbrella's!
We'll have to wait and see if the weather is doable at the moment itself. The restrictions imposed by the city are so strict that we don't have many other alternatives in case of heavy rain than to shorten the walk or cancel it, so be warned. Dinner will still go on, no matter how bad the weather is.

Time for an update about the Music for Life meets this and next weekend:
First, the MFL-meet in Hasselt this weekend. As most of you probably have noticed, the weather isn't kinda inviting us to go out. In fact, the weather forecast doesn't look good at all for this weekend with lots of rain to be expected on sunday. We know that fur suiting in the rain is not an option. We also know that the weather in Belgium can change until the very last moment.
Since the weather is something beyond our control, we have two options:
- First option: It doesn't rain (that much) at the time our meet starts. In this case the furwalk will go on as planned. Spotters armed with umbrella's, just in case.
- Second option: It's raining at the time our meet starts. In this case we need to divert to plan B. This means we will not walk around in the city, but we will stay put at a covered location right next to our starting point. We'll try to collect money from the people passing by, but the time that we are out there will be limited. Not the best option, but it's better than nothing and the meet doesn't need to be cancelled. If there's enough time left, we can vote for an additional (indoor) activity like bowling, the movies, ...
In both options meeting time, place and dinner stays the same!

Time for an update about the Music for Life meets this and next weekend:
First, the MFL-meet in Hasselt this weekend. As most of you probably have noticed, the weather isn't kinda inviting us to go out. In fact, the weather forecast doesn't look good at all for this weekend with lots of rain to be expected on sunday. We know that fur suiting in the rain is not an option. We also know that the weather in Belgium can change until the very last moment.
Since the weather is something beyond our control, we have two options:
- First option: It doesn't rain (that much) at the time our meet starts. In this case the furwalk will go on as planned. Spotters armed with umbrella's, just in case.
- Second option: It's raining at the time our meet starts. In this case we need to divert to plan B. This means we will not walk around in the city, but we will stay put at a covered location right next to our starting point. We'll try to collect money from the people passing by, but the time that we are out there will be limited. Not the best option, but it's better than nothing and the meet doesn't need to be cancelled. If there's enough time left, we can vote for an additional (indoor) activity like bowling, the movies, ...
In both options meeting time, place and dinner stays the same!

Music For Life 2017 - Hasselt 10/12/2017

Our first Music for life Meet of this year will again take place in Hasselt. This will be, as mentioned before, on sunday the 10th of December.
We will gather at 13:00h at the “Kolonel Dusartplein” right in front of the library.
We have arranged a place where the suiters can get dressed and where you can store your belongings safely. We’ll wait for 15-30min for everyone to arrive before we go inside.
When the suiters are dressed and everyone is ready, we head out to the city center and do our thing; Walking around in fursuit and make people happy while collecting money for charity! For those who missed it, this year’s charity is “Stichting Alzheimeronderzoek.”
At 17:00h at the latest we will return to our headquarters to change again and count the money.
At 18:00h we reserved a table at “het Borrelhuis” for dinner. Be aware that we only have 20 spots available, so if you want to join, please let us know by leaving a note below. (but don’t wait too long, or all the spots will be taken) Also, because we are a quite big group, we’ve been asked to limit our menu choices to these 5 options:
- Australische rundsbavette (Steak) - €23,50
- Spare Ribs - €18,50
- Koninginnenhapje (videe) - €14,50
- Spaghetti Carbonara - €13,50
- Penne Pesto (Veggie option) - €13,50
Don’t forget to add your menu choice when leaving a note! We kindly ask to bring enough cash to make our job a bit easier.
The best way to get to the Dusartplein is either by car or by train. There’s a car park underneath the Kolonel Dusartplein (Qpark, €2 per hour) or on the Koning Boudewijnlaan (free, but a 10min walk from the Dusartplein) From the train station there’s a shuttle bus every 10 minutes (de boulevard-pendel – De Lijn). The name of the bus stop is “Hasselt Dusartplein.”
For the fursuiters; make sure your suit is in good condition and representable. We want people to come close and give us money, not to run away from us.
Luckily we never had to do it before, but we will deny suiters who don’t fit this description. You can always note us if you’re not sure whether your suit is suitable or not.
For the non-fursuiters; we are in need of spotters! If you want to volunteer, please do let us know, it will be greatly appreciated!
Don’t worry if you don’t have experience in spotting, we are planning something to prepare you for your spotting task, but more info on that later. Stay tuned!
Also a quick reminder that we have a TOS. By coming to our meet, we will presume you have read and agreed to these terms.

Soon it will be time again for Studio Brussel's Music for Life and as every year, we are going to participate!
Again, using our well known recipe: A furwalk, letting the fursuiters collect money for charity, and afterwards a nice dinner and some drinks.
At this moment we are in the process of obtaining the necessary permits for fursuiting in public, so we can't announce the locations/cities yet.
But we can already give you the dates for these events, which will be on sunday the 10th of december and saturday the 16th of december.
Also, we need to decide what good cause we want to support this year.
To make things easy, we already picked a few good causes of which we believe deserve some extra support. Just follow this link to the poll where you can choose your favorite good cause: http://www.strawpoll.me/14216869

The goal of plant een bos is to have more forests and trees in Flanders and to preserve nature. They collect funds to plant new forests with crowdfunding. With the money they collect from Music For Life, they are going to plant a Music for Life forest.
- vluchtelingenwerk Vlaanderen https://www.vluchtelingenwerk.be/
This VZW wants to help people who have fled their country from war and violence. Together with many partnering organisations and volunteers they provide shelter, medical aid, integration, language lessons, etc.
Also, they want to raise awareness and put pressure on politicians to do more.
- stichting Alzheimer onderzoek http://www.alzh.org/
This one already support research for cures for Alzheimer for years. But the nummer of patients keeps growing exponentially, so the need for more aid and research keeps high.
If you have other suggestions, feel free to share! If more people agree on that one, we can consider that as well.

Halloween Walibi meet UPDATE!! (TICKET DISCOUNT)

We have a very important update to give you all regarding the Halloween Walibi meet.
In the original journal we stated that there were two discount types.
If we were able to get 6 people we would get a 6 euro discount. If we were able to get 20 people we would be able to get a 10 euro discount.
Sadly it turns out the “6 person deal” will no longer be in effect when we are planning to visit the park. It also seems we might not be able to hit 20 persons.
HOWEVER, there is currently a different deal that allows you to get a discount of around 5-6 euro. This is the “Halloween early bird” deal and said deal will end on 06/10.
We cannot guarantee that we will get 20 people so if you want to make sure to grab a discount than this is your chance.
Make sure to pick 28/10 as your date and be aware that after 06/10 (next Friday) this deal will end. You can buy the “Halloween early bird” ticket over here:

Want a thrilling loud day mixed with some spooky theming that's sure to haunt you for some time? You up for some attractions?
Kzarren has the thing for you!
A full day of Walibi! Lucky for the ones not feeling for attractions, the park is decorated for the halloween season and there's sure a fur or two to socialize with.
What?
We will meet up for a day to walk at Walibi Themepark during the Halloween season. We can walk around in group or split up if the group tends to be big. We will surely come together again during a picknick lunch or a haunted mansion walk. Either way it's going to be a cozy and spooky time!
Lucky for us, we can get a group tariff. If we go with atleast 20 furs we each get €10 discount! So the individual price will be €26,50 per fur.
Normal price: €36,50
Be warned! We expect a lot of visitors due to the Halloween theming.
When?
Saturday 28th of October. We will meet up between 10:00 and 11:30. Park opens at 10:00. We will enter the park at 10:30!
At 14:00 we will meet up near the tutankhamun ride to grab something to eat together!

Hey everyone,
In a few weeks, on Sunday the 3th of september, there’s a cosplay festival in the “Japanse tuin” in Hasselt. It’s the perfect opportunity to meet up and have fun in a unique environment, especially for the fursuiters amongst us.
The garden is open from 10:00 a.m. We will be there around noon, but everyone is of course free to drop by whenever they want. The garden is small enough, so it should be pretty easy to spot our group.
Fursuiters and cosplayers enter for free, everyone else need to pay a small entrance fee of €5.
There is parking space nearby at the PXL campus or at the Koning Boudewijnlaan.
It’s also a short walk from the Kolonel Dusartplein for the people coming by public transport. From the train station, take the city bus H3 (direction “Trichterheide”) or line 45 (direction “Maaseik”). Get off at stop “Koning Boudewijnlaan.” Cross the street, take the stairs down and follow the bicycle path to the entrance of the garden.
At 18:00h we will then go to Hasselt, which is a short walk, where we can have dinner at "het Borrelhuis" and have a drink. This is with an open end, everyone is free to leave whenever they want.

Sushi time - Antwerpen 15/07/2017

Do you like to eat sushi? Then it’s your lucky day!
On Saturday the 15th of july, we will go eat sushi.
We’ll meet at 17:00h in the main hall of the Antwerp Central station.
At 18:00h, when everyone is present, we’ll go to Kaiseki, an all you can eat sushi and Japanese grill restaurant close to the station.

After dinner we’ll head into the city to have a drink.
The idea is to go to the pontoon on the Schelde and bring our own drinks (or buy some in the store nearby), if the weather permits of course. It’s a nice and chill location to hang out, right in the city center.
If you like to join us, please leave a comment below. We have 15 spots available for the restaurant this time, but no limit for drinks afterwards.
No fursuits or fursuit props this time.

*Important note: Best way to come to Antwerp is by train or other public transport. Due to road and infrastructure work practically everywhere in the city, we don’t recommend coming by car. If you do, you will understand the definition of “Hell”*

Dragon meet - Gent 27/05/2017

Do you like dragons? Surely you do!
An exhibition about dragons is currently being held in Gent and we thought we should check it out before it closes! And what better way to conclude such an event than by eating delicious ribs (or a more vegetarian alternative) and get some drinks at the one and only Comic cafe in Gent?
The plan:
We will get together on saturday the 27th of may at 15:00h at Gent St-Pieters station. From there we will travel to “het STAM”.
Entry tickets are 8 euro for anyone above 25 and 2 euro for anyone between 19 and 25 years old. The entry ticket will provide access to all exhibitions within “het STAM”. More info can be found on their website. http://stamgent.be/nl_be/bezoek-het-stam
At 18:00h we will go eat ribs at Amadeus and afterwards we will head towards “Comic Sans” for a drink! Dinner spots at Amadeus will be limited to 20.
Please be aware that this is not a fursuit event. Fursuits, tails, ears and other dress up/cosplay gear are not allowed.
