Coming Out and other updates~ (Please read!!)
Posted 10 years agoSo I feel like I should probably update this more often so my friends in the fandom who care about me can keep up to date on how I am and also know that I haven't dropped off the face of the Earth/died. So! New stuff going on:
I have a full time job at Walgreens as a photo tech. It pays minimum wage, I claim more than I should on my tax form, and I'm STILL barely making it paycheck-to-paycheck. I've grown to dislike it because of the clientelle. I plan on getting my liquor license after I turn 21 on October 5th and then having my dad (being a bar tender himself) help me find a good job as a waiter/bartender.
No, I'm not coming out as gay. That's super old news. No, this is much more self-actualizing. I recently discovered I was polyamorous. Said discovery helped sort out a lot of confusion on my part and calmed a lot of my inner toil. I talked it out with my wonderful fiance

The above being said, I also now have a boyfriend, but he's not in the fandom, so I can't link you to anything X3
Unfortunately, both of my relationships are long distance (about 3 hour's drive away) so I have to visit them frequently.
Other than that, the only major thing going on in my life at the moment is I'm gearing up for Kumoricon this labor day weekend!!! My cosplays, in no order (yet) are Stevonnie and Sapphire from Steven Universe, Hiro Hamada from Big Hero 6, and Yuna from Final Fantasy X (for the 3rd year now).

Minor Grievances (soft vent journal)
Posted 10 years agoSometimes I REALLY FUCKING HATE how some people assume things about my relationship or ask questions that don't need asking. i.e:
"How are you and Spiral doing?"
This one of course is context heavy. It's fine if you're literally just asking how we are. Like, "How are you guys?" But a lot of the time it's more along the lines of "How is your relationship?" We're going on 6 years now, I'd say it's going pretty fucking great.
"Are you and Spiral still together?"
UM, YEAH??? What the fuck would make you think otherwise? If you're anything stronger than an acquaintance to me, you know how strong our relationship is, AND you would know that there would be some sort of earth-shattering aftermath going on and I would have already volunteered such information if anything bad HAD happened.
"Who wears the pants in your guys' relationship?"
Both of us??????? We literally both wear pants??? Sometimes we wear shorts or capris or mini-skirts or dresses or short-shorts or pjs or pretty much anything else but we both definitely wear pants at times.
"No, I mean like who's the guy and who's the girl in the relationship."
We're both guys. Homosexual relationship. I mean we're both genderfluid/genderqueer but we both have dicks so I'm pretty damn sure there is no woman in this relationship, at least biologically.
*sigh* "Okay, what I mean is like, who's top/bottom?"
We switch. If you wanna ask dirty questions, get to the grit. Don't make it about gender or garment wearing.
I'm sure there are other general ones, but I can't think of them right now. The most recent one that bugs me has come up recently because I'm moving three hours away so I can get a job. I have a place to stay and everything squared away up there, just need to make the move. Almost every time someone new hears about this, the following conversation ensues in some form or another:
"You're moving? What about Spiral?"
He's coming with to help with the moving and transitioning process, and then we're bringing him back.
"Why?"
There's currently more stuff here in town for him and not enough in the destination town to make the move worthwhile for him.
"Won't that be hard on your guys' relationship?"
Noooooooo......??????? We'll be 3 hours away from each other and in pretty much constant contact with texting, Skype, snail mail, and other such things. Plus the marvelous activity known as VISITING is a thing that exists. Have you NEVER heard the phrase "Distance makes the heart grow fonder"?
I realize the above may seem like an overreaction, but when you've had that conversation SO MANY FUCKING TIMES, it gets really annoying.
I think the reason all this upsets me is because when people say things like this, it shows how little faith they have in our relationship or that they expect it to be turbulent or fall apart. It's honestly rather insulting to hear things like this, and even though our relationship started in my freshman year of high school, I really feel like there are no grounds for such questions and assumptions.
My relationship with Spiral is strong. We're doing great as a couple, and we are functioning damn fine as individuals.
Sorry for excessive length, I really appreciate it if you've read the whole thing. Needed to get that out somewhere where people who ask the above questions wouldn't see it. Let me know what you think if you like.

A REALLY Terrible Fucking Person (If you can call her that)

So about a week or two ago, I was at work and this super friendly customer struck up a conversation with me. After the conversation, I pointed her toward her movie and thought nothing of it. Afterward, she came out and talked to me some more and found out we had a lot in common (apparently) and gave me her number to text.
I should have just thrown that fucking napkin away.
Of course, I text her, and we get to talking and she seems pretty cool. She asks me to come visit. Despite my reluctance and my shitty car, I grab my mate and we go up and visit her. She still seems pretty okay at this point. But over the course of the next week, she's constantly asking me favors in return for items of interest (money, shiny pokemon, laptop mouse, use of their car which is better than mine etc). So I clean her house up a bit (although you wouldn't be able to tell the very next day) take her shopping in the middle of the fucking night and visit her often at the expense of my car and free time.
Out of nowhere with no fucking context, I get a message from her saying "thanks for using me :) bye" and she blocked me in every way imaginable except for texting. I try to figure out why she said that, and all she'll say is that I used her for all of the items that she willingly gave me, and then she pulls the whole "yiff in hell furfag" deal and then goes on for the millionth time about how furries are terrible people because they've done all of these horrible things to her, including but not limited to rape, paid dates, abuse, and imprisonment. I honestly call bullshit on all of those claims, because she is the type to cause drama and be loud just to get attention.
So I dropped her like the piece of shit she turned out to be without any guilt or second thoughts. But she kept trying to text me and egg me on, saying things that I'm sure she thought would make me feel bad, but in all reality made me laugh. I finally blacklisted her number, The last text I got from her said she was gonna give my number out online for people to send me hate messages. Honestly, I hope she does so I can take her enormous fat ass to court.
TL;DR I met a super-ultra-mega-fucking bitch. She's finally out of my life but may or may not give my number out to strangers to harrass me. I really needed to vent.
Oh, and one last thing: I guess she has quite the negative online history, including her account on here being permanently suspended. She's known pretty much everywhere as Shizimiru.

Also, I plan to be arting a bit soon. But even when I get started, it will take me a while to post anything.
What made you choose the species of your main fursona?
I went with a housecat because it's what felt right. It's the real me. The breed and fur color actually came from a dream where I looked in a mirror and saw myself as Kanen.
Is your fursona just like you, or how you want to be?
Like I said, Kanen is me. How I really feel on the inside. Physically, he's how I aspire to be, but I'm also happy with my current body.
Does your fursona have the same personality you have?
Being an expression of my true self, we pretty much have identical personalities, though he may be a bit more openly slutty |3 If you don't know what my personality is like, and you would like to know, feel free to send me a note~ ^_^ Try to have specific questions if you can though <3
Does your fursona have the same dislikes and likes as you do?
Yes, though virtually he's able to live some of the likes that reality keeps me from experiencing~
Does your fursona look like you at all?
I'd really like to think so. We're both very androgynous in the facial structure and body shape, leaning towards the feminine side with a lovely hourglass figure (him more so than me.) We both have hypnotically beautiful blue eyes, a wonderful, slightly big booty, and a comfortably decent endowment. He doesn't have my muffin top, and I don't have his wonderful feline features, but I believe those are the only differences ^^
