I'm on vacation as of today; Monday morning I am flying to California. I think you can all guess why. See you all in about a week!

Internet at the house has been a bit glitchy over the past couple days. Tuesday it cut out twice for about an hour of downtime and Wednesday morning it was out all day, and night. We have a tech coming out and I thought I'd see if we have a connection this morning and lo and behold it is up again. I'll need to let the roomies know.

On Wednesday morning I did several things, one being getting my flu shot. I also got a pertussis vaccine and that one is still making my arm hurt. Oh well, at least I'm covered for the next decade on that.

Finally on Thursday morning I had a service appointment for my car which was expensive. Multiple filters needing replacing along with the battery and other incidentals. I knew it was coming but still getting a bill for almost $400 made me frown a bit. Oh well, on the bright side I have enough loyalty points to cover the next service appointment.

*points two thumbs at myself* This guy, right here. So I've been sick with an upper respiratory infection and Saturday before last I went to the urgent care clinic and got some antibiotics to clear up the infection. I finished those on Monday but still had some throat discomfort. Last night I felt ok but by the morning today I had a lot of trouble swallowing and a lot of pain. Back to the clinic I go and the doctor tells me I have full blown strep. After double checking this with a throat culture she gave me another series of antibiotics and some steroids to kill off the swelling in my throat. As of right now I can swallow without pain and I certainly hope this go round of meds kills off this darn infection. Hopefully everyone else is doing better than I am currently.

CaliFur was awesome this year! I’m glad that I finally got to go to the opening ceremonies for this convention. Every year prior I always seem to be stranded in the registration line up. I saw plenty of good friends like and . It was great seeing and talking and hanging out with them all! I even met some new furs like who was very nice too. It’s a shame the weather was kind of bad and I didn’t get any pool time but there is always next year. Hope everyone else that attended had a swell convention too!

I have made it home after a long and arduous journey. More to come later.

I'm back from visiting family. That is all really.

Time for my annual sojourn back to Tennessee. I'll be out of town for the next few days so I probably won't respond fast to comments/notes/queries and such. Wish me luck, being around mom I know I'll need it. . .

So tonight was the last class of the semester and I'm on my short summer break, so I decided to get some Chinese food to celebrate the semester end. After I had my meal I got the usual fortune cookie, but when I opened it, there was no paper fortune inside. That's a first for me. Does this mean I get to make my own fortune then?

As most of you can tell, I’m back from vacation. I had a great time with Blue and enjoyed being away from home for a bit. Now, if I can get my sleep schedule back to normal I’ll be doing great!

Just to let everyone know, I will be flying out to California tomorrow (Thursday) to spend some time with Blue and celebrate my birthday.

An odd thing occurred in the past couple weeks. Somehow with tweaking my diet and getting back to my normal gym routine I seem to have dropped all the holiday pounds I had taken on this past season. Not that I'm complaining mind you. Hopefully I don't start sabotaging myself and can keep moving forward.

General question to everyone. What species would be a good choice for a gypsy type character?

Just noticed that I had not journal-ed since after Halloween. Well my accounting class is done (as of last Wednesday) and I'm still waiting on the final grade. I'm pretty sure I did well enough on the final to keep my 'A' but still I want to know for sure.

In other news I had a gift exchange with friends tonight that went really well. We went out and had some scrumptious sushi and then exchanged gifts. Afterward we played a round of Telestrations which was really really fun. We all laughed a lot at how off course we got in the game.

Only other item is that I'll not be working Christmas day so my roomies and I will probably drive through the Christmas lights display in town and exchange gifts. Hope everyone is have a good holiday season!

In a few short hours I'll be flying off to California to see Blue and have a great time with him for his birthday week.

So I had to get two wisdom teeth pulled today. No complication from the procedure but recovery will be slow, plus I'm limited to soft foods right now. So more soup and jello for me then. Hopefully I'll be back at 100% in a week or so.

Because I'm interested I suppose I will ask. What would you like to see of me, artistically speaking?
