Just got home from my visit home. It was nice to see the family and my dog again; not so nice dealing with my mom. Oh well, not much I can do about it but tolerate it when I have to be there. Now, for some sleep!

Blue is on his way home now and I hope he has a safe flight. For me it will be back to work tomorrow night; over the weekend I will be prepping for my final exam in my HR class. The night after the final is done I will then be driving down to Tennessee to visit family for a couple of days. I'm not thrilled about doing that at all, but it has to be done. At lease I can see my dog and spend a little time with him. After that it's back home and back to work as normal, at least till Califur.

Having a good birthday week with  blueeyedwolf minus the test I had on Wednesday night. Oh well, I think today we will hit up the movies.

I have been a fan of that series ever since I saw it's first run on television when I was a kid in the 80's. Given who is involved, I'm really not sure how I feel about it. I got a message from Blue saying that there are some phone line issues at his home so he isn't able to be online right now. Unfortunately those won't be resolved until next Friday afternoon. Just wanted to share this information and make everyone aware.

So Blue Arrived in town on 11/19 and we spent a few days together before MFF. We headed out early on Friday morning to try and beat traffic. Unfortunately we still got caught in a major backup on the Chicago Loop, felt like almost 2hrs there. However we made it to the hotel and there was a close parking space and they had a room ready for us. After unpacking in the room I had a shower and we went down for registration. After that it was a whirlwind of meeting people and checking out the dealer den and artist alley. Saturday was good mostly, during the fursuit parade my right shoulder slowly started to hurt. This dull pain waxed throughout the rest of the convention unfortunately. It's difficult to dance and not move one arm. I did my best to not let it kill my mood but it wasn't easy. Sunday was a delightful day, even if I went to bed early and missed the Dead Dog party. We made a break for it on Monday since weather channel was threatening snow that day. Got back into town on Monday afternoon with Blue. We had a nice dinner and then headed back to my place for our final night together. Tuesday it started trying to snow here but fortunately no flights were canceled so Blue made it back home without a lot of hassle. All in all I had a good convention. I enjoyed running into a lot of friends: Dineegla, MuslceWolf, Noa, Asyr, Max, Hollie, Cap. Furry, D'Bull, Meanbeard, and a lot of others. Hopefully next year my shoulder won't be hurting so I can give better hugs.

Well since my last journal 2 months ago, my roomies and I have settled into the new house. It's an older home, built in 1913 but in very good shape, other than the wiring. We have discovered a lot of still active knob and tube wiring which can be dangerous, so it's slowly coming out and outlets are being re-wired to handle the load by all of our electronics and gear. My only complaint is that my roomies haven't felt like running the necessary cable upstairs so i can connect my main PC to the internet. I've been getting by on my laptops wireless connection, but my laptop is showing its age as I can't run many simultaneous programs on it at once. Oh well, they will have to hook it up eventually. In other home news I almost have my new bed paid for, I've been sleeping on my air mattress since we moved in and it's starting to take its toll on my shoulders; oh well about another month and I'll have a real bed again.

School is going alright at the moment, I'm in business law and stressing from all the course work. I have almost finished my research paper, due in just under 3 weeks, we have our second exam this coming week and we are also getting our groups assigned for the group project. It's a lot of work but hopefully I can keep my grade up. After this class is done then I'm done with the first quarter of the degree program, and I might even make the dean's list if I keep my GPA up.

Other than that there isn't a whole lot that I want to talk about other than say Happy Autumn everyone.

Sorry for the lack or pictures and things recently but stuff is happening:

First, I'm finishing a summer semester class, it should be done in about two weeks, then I get a small break before fall classes start.
Second, my roommates bought a house earlier this month and we are working to get moved in there. We should be out of our apartment at the end of the month then then it will take who knows how long to get the new place in order.

So yes, busy month for me. Hopefully I can catch up on pictures and birthdays soon.

I got home last last night from California. It was a really nice trip and Blue and I had a great time at CaliFur. It was nice to experience a smaller convention, even if there were some glitches in the programming. Oh well, we still had fun. My favorite part was seeing old friends like , and . Meeting up with people I had been talking to like , and meeting new furs like and many many more. I only wish there was more time to meet everyone but oh well, there is always next year!

Well I'm recovering from the Chicken Pox thankfully. The doctor is letting me go back to work tomorrow night. YAY! That means things can get back to normal now and I can stop wasting my vacation time on being sick.

Eesh! I can't believe it's been so long since I've journaled! Oh well, here is an update. Christmas and New Years were good and quiet. I also decided to go back to school this year, so I'm in class now a couple days a week. I'm working on a business admin degree, hopefully it will make me more appealing in future job markets. It's been a decade since I've finished my higher education and thankfully getting back into study mode hasn't been to weird for me.

On a down note, one of my roomies came down with chicken pox. That was a bummer, but that isn't the worst news. Thankfully she is over that but now it seems to be my turn with it. I never had them when I was a kid, oh well. I'll be off to the doctor's office in a couple hours when they open. Not much else of note going on at the moment, so I'll just wrap this up then.
