Umm... kind of just keeping this account open to keep in contact with friends I guess because I'm now back on dA under Ashvaiti

but BILY is dead- the webcomic that is. I tried to work on it over the summer and I just... don't care about it any more. I love the characters so they will still be drawn from time to time but the story is horrid and cliche and it's time for me to move on to my next project. It just... can't be saved.

It feels like a kick in the pants to my readers but even just finishing Dawnri's chapter was pushing it, let alone the next three that I had planned.

BILY just has too little substance and saving it would take an overhaul that I'm just not willing to make. I've already tried and it spun around a bit, coughed sputtered and died. It's just another story about some kids...

I will NOT be guilted into continuing this project. I've already had one person pull that on me and even offered to buy the script from me. It's not happening

I'll be taking down MouMou's chapter because it's not finished but I will at least tell you all how it ends.
-MouMou stays with the group, but meets Minx. Kind of a troublesome character. The group expresses their concerns, and of course Minx gets grafted into the pack eventually as well.
-Some parties happen- Valentine's Day (where we discover that Mochii has abandonment issues), Kimi's b-day (where he fully comes to terms with Mochii's issues and decides to stay with him)
-and then they graduate.

That's basically all that's left. Yes there's some emotional ups-and-downs that go on, but I have no more energy for this story

so... we're getting into the third week of the semester and I have had no time for art. my days off are literally for the crazy amounts of reading I have to do and I've been spending what free time I have writing

I'm heading back on Sunday, and though I didn't get much finished for FA I was still pretty busy elsewhere

MouMou page 8 is in production. Really it just needs to be coloured/shaded but I've been really unmotivated to work on it. The story as a whole is fun and it's cute/lighthearted, etc etc, but it's really time-consuming for something that's probably not very significant

which is why I'm excited for my next project. Because I know that 5 years from now I'm not going to look back and think "this is stupid". My motivations are completely different. I'm not doing it for an audience. I'm doing it because I want to

Finals Week is over and we're back to normal things. Well... normal is "relative", but you get it.

Readers, I'm sure you've noticed we're finally out of chapter 1 (whoo!)

**I was also reminded this morning of a $130 metalsmithing lab fee.

I know I keep my commissions open to see what trickles in, but I really need the extra funds now

I had to make a car payment and it basically sucked my savings dry. I still need to buy two more books for classes this semester and I know it's going to be more than I have, even if I ordered them both from Amazon. ($100-$250 should cover it)

On top of that, I owe the other half of payment next week for my fiance's birthday present ($125)

There's only two pages left and at first I was like "oh cool! I'll post on on Friday and one on Monday"

I... have a massive headache after finishing that last page. I think spending most of my summer on the computer has started getting to me

Last night after I finished laying out the colours, I participated in a 4 HOUR online D&D campaign.. I REGRET NOTHING! except for this headache that is right behind my eyes T.T

I super duper want to get these last few pages finished (like seriously. I've been planning out how to draw them just right ever since I started the script), but my eyes are bad enough already and I think I'll just upload them next week instead, or at least do just two uploads this week instead of cramming the last few pages into one week.

If I feel better tomorrow, you can expect an upload on Tuesday and maybe another Thursday night (if I get settled into my dorm on time)

I go back to school on Thursday, and after that, BILY will go back to once-a-week updates. Less content, but the art will (hopefully) be better since I'll have more time to work on each page.
With the start of a new chapter, a style change is more or less appropriate.

5 more pages to go (maybe 4... thinking of combining the last two) in this chapter. Which will perfectly align with my schedule if I can buckle down and crank these pages out between packing by Wednesday (with the exception of Sunday because I'll be gone most of the day, or probably just tired once I get home)

I think we're technically still on track even though I still "owe" a page, but two pages were cut out completely due to "this doesn't make sense, why is this in the script", and one was combined. That's a week's worth of content right there

we might even get through chapter 1 earlier than intended! (but I counted the remaining pages... 12 [or three weeks of content], so we'll see. I do still have outside obligations)

That being said: at the end of each chapter I'm doing a week of "questions for the characters" (this was also done after the prologue)

Why am I posting this now? to collect the questions earlier and keep the ball rolling ^^; gives me more time to think about how to answer the questions if it requires more than a simple panel (i.e. backstory questions)

sooo... what's new?

still haven't really been drawing much. As far as digital art, I feel like I've spent enough time in front of the computer as it is for the semester. I do have a work in progress right now though

and... I'm on call for a job soon
