Long time no write.

I had promised you guys that I would not ask for money ever again, and I am living up to it. I got a job, I currently work 50 hours a week until the end of the month, because we're very short on staff (we're 3 people splitting fourteen 10-hours shift between ourselves). When October comes, I will be drawing EVERY single commission that I owe, and then will bid this account goodbye.

I WILL NOT BE DRAWING ANY MORE COMMISSIONS, TRADES OR EVEN UPLOAD PERSONAL PICS. People who are already on my waiting list are the last.

But why?

Truth is, I am not fond of manga nor exclusively anthropomorphic art at all. I feel like drawing such things made me stall as an artist, prevented me from improving. Ever since I have been experimenting, drawing cartoons, not worrying about pleasing any crowd or gaining popularity, my skills have skyrocketed up, and I can finally claim that I am proud of a lot of stuff that I draw.

Aside from the queued commissions, don't expect any more murry purry yiffy porn or art in general also. Although I -have- been drawing a whole lotta old gay men. Oh WELL.

Last call because even now, I can't believe I'm asking you guys for help, and I think fr it that I am a total piece of shit. You have my sworn promise that this is my last time asking, begging for help, and that if I'm ever retarded enough to get into trouble again, you have the obligation to simply ignore me and let me rot in my problems. But please, let this last time matter.

I have been refusing myself to ask for support until now, But I'm apparently left with no choice.

A massive shit has hit the fan. A due payment I had not expected went thru, leaving me with -413$ on my bank account. I am not kidding, and if required by you guys, I will scan a bank receipt to prove it. Which means that, despite the fact that I've found a job, I am left with no money to eat or pay rent, as all the checks I'd deposit would go straight into clearing that debt. Same with Paypal payments. I have spent the past week trying to figure out a way to fix this, living off the 20 bucks I had in my pocket and the little food in my freezer.

Now I am out of food, have 7 bucks left, and just want to cry.

I am thus putting a big incentive into commissions and donations. Every donation of as little as 2 dollars will get a gift sketch like the stuff on this gallery  scribblo. As said above, bank receipt will be provided if required. I won't be able to spend the money on ANYTHING. It all won't have a choice but to go into clearing my debt.

Long story short, no food for Bl00 until the whole 413$ is refunded.

I am shocked and appalled by how some people on this website can act. I had always seen this community as one that was good-hearted, and always willing to help someone in need. When I'm not scraping for crumbs, I do my best to be as helpful as I saw so many of you guys be in the past. However, something that happened to someone very close to me is getting me to consider a change in opinion.

That person has been in very serious life-trouble, trouble that makes my own life look akin to very fine. While my forced internet leave, we've been keeping touch thru phone, and I offered to host a fundraiser along with other artists to help her get somewhere where she'd be safe, and away from the vortex of madness she's stuck into. All she needed to do, I thought, was to make a journal about it so I could advertise, support, heck, do all I could to help her out. So she did just that.

Someone, trying to be helpful, posted a link to her journal on the forum. Result? People started flaming her, saying it was a fake story. She ended up having to delete her journal. The forum thread was thankfully removed.

But now, due to lack of support and quick degeneration of the already very bad situation, she was now kicked out of her place, without anywhere to go nor any money in her pockets to rent any place.

I am worried out of my mind for that person who is so dear to me, and honestly? I'm still in deep shit for money, but I am begging you to commission me so I can give her all the money I will earn, or help her directly. If you want to do either of these things, please contact me.

my tablet stopped working suddenly about a week ago and I thought it was just the driver that crashed and reinstalled it and it still wouldn't work, and I figured it was something wrong with my computer

but I just thought of plugging it into my roomate's comp to see if it worked there and it does not

the problem isn't the cord I tried changing it (I had a replacement)

it's an Intuos4, I've only had it for a few months, it was the best tablet I've ever had and now I wanna cry because it was 500 bucks I don't have the funds to replace iiiiit

i'll try calling wacom's customer support but their business days and hours are completely retarded

I am coming out of the bag about this;

I really am not posting all of my art on FA, or even on dA. even some of the stuff I'm the proudest about.

Why is this?

Because the internet-based art communities are depressing and the opposite of the real world when it comes to artistic preferences.

I used to have a fairly popular account on dA (I am not telling you what it was unless by note if you want to look at my old art), where most of my stuff were commissions and art trades with furries. In manga-like style. Which I am not saying is bad and all, but the problem is, I wouldn't draw much for myself.

And when I'd draw something for my own enjoyment, I'd break my routine of manga, and would usually make some crazy cartoon. Crazy, but really-well executed, in my own style, a style that I really enjoyed doing. And I would be so proud of the results.

And they would go completely ignored by the community. At some point, I got sick of it, and just promptly left dA, not coming back for good until a month ago.

It's not even because my manga art is better, far from it. I'm a very decent cartoonist, and some of that influence is reflected in illustrations such as "DUM DEE DAH DEE DAH" and "Mario Pinup". I am currently illustrating two cartoon comics for publication.

People just want to see manga.

It makes me very sad.

I am REALLY in a pinch for commissions. And for people doubting of my credibility, here goes the detailed story.

I live in Montreal crammed in an appartment with roomates. Before the month of june, I was living with my friend, his brother and the brother's girlfriend. Splitted in four, the loan added up to roughly 200 bucks each.

But at the beginning of the month of june, the couple left for the summer on a hippie vacation, and left my roomate and I in quite a tricky situation. Because of the trouble they were causing us by leaving, they were supposed to send us 200 bucks every month, so the rent would be the same were we to find only one new roomate (the space being only able to accomodate one more person, it was okay being 4 before because they were a couple and very fucked up but whatever).

And so that was the plan.

On the 1rst of this month, I learned at they didn't send the money for this month. From one day to another, on the very deadline for rent, we were all suddenly stuck with a 70 bucks augmentation on our rent.

After having to pay a hunded bucks this month in medication I was not able to magically produce 70 bucks, and neither was one of my roomates. So we're both in really deep shit.

I'm going to ask for an extension, and please BEG YOU to help me raise the missing 140 bucks we need before it starts raining serious shit.
