IMPORTANT LIFE UPDATE
Posted 15 years agoI left my mom´s house, we had a great fight and she kicked me out. I dunno how much time it´s gonna take me to go back, if I ever go back there. Right now I´m living at 
talthec ´s house with my son. I hope this is the best, at least I feel quiet now, no more stress...
Me fui de la casa de mi madre, nos peleamos (muy fuerte) y ella me echo. No se cuanto tiempo va a durar esto ni si voy a volver algun dia. Por ahora estoy viviendo en lo de talthec con mi hijo. Espero que esto sea lo mejor, al menos estoy tranqulia ahora, no mas estres...

Problems
Posted 15 years agoMy mother and my brother had a traffic accident. My mother fractured her pelvis and my brother his femur. talthec and I are taking care of them both, one in the my house and another in hospital. We almost never see my boyfriend because we turn to the hospital and when one becomes the other goes. It´s difficult for everyone because Agustin miss us and when we can see him is hard not to fall asleep from exhaustion. I hope you know understand why I won´t be much over here. Regards to all, and hopefully see us soon.

UPDATE
Posted 15 years agoFirst of all, I'm feeling good. I recovered my trust in my drawings and kept on drawing, thing I didn't do for 2 or 3 weeks. My brother came to visit from Argentina after a year he didn't came and he installed Ubuntu and windows in my computer, I'm so happy!!!! I love ubuntu!!!!!

Posted 16 years agoI wanna say a few words to all those great artists that have loads of commisions and to those (as me) little artists improving day by day:
- Never stop drawing for fun
- Don´t be a style/theme imitator of other artists that do well
- Draw your OCs often : -for those who have a bunch of commisions draw them once by 5/10 commisions done
-for those who don´t have commisions, set a quantity of days, as 1 by every 7 days or if you like doing fanart, once by 5 fanart pieces.
- If you don´t have OCs create one, or if you can´t, you could help some writers to get theirs drawn.
- PLEASE DON´T SAY "I only draw for money, so I´ll draw anything that gives me money", makes the other artists feel sorry for you.
With all this said, I want to start a group of drawing your own OCs, based in this things I said up. Would you like to join?

- Dibuja tus personajes originales: - para aquellos que tienen un monton de commisions: dibujalos una vez cada 5/10 commisions hechas
- para aquellos que no tienen commisions ponganse una cantidad de dias como 1 cada 7 dias, o si te gusta hacer fanart, uno cada 5 dibujos de fanart.
- Si no tienes un PO, crea uno, si no se te ocurre nada, podrias ayudar a algunos escritores a conseguir dibujos de los suyos.
- POR FAVOR NO DIGAS "Solo dibujo por dinero, por eso voy a dibujar cualquier cosa que me de dinero" hace que los otros artistas sientan pena por ti.

Posted 16 years agomy father and my mother are in her bedroom, they woke up toghether after my mom saying she wouldn´t be anymore with him cause he lied to her once and another and another time...
I´m so fucking tired, I´m sick (got a flu) and I had to stand all their fights and making ups this week, they are gonna make me crazy. However, now it´s been 2 days that they sleep toghether and no one would tell me what the hell happened between them, and that makes me feel worse. Cause I can understand that they´ll come back toghether, if that makes them happy, I´m ok with it, but no one says anything...
I´m so fucking tired, I´m sick (got a flu) and I had to stand all their fights and making ups this week, they are gonna make me crazy. A BIG MESS OF THINGS
Posted 16 years agoWell, I´m gonna tell you all that happened to me this year:
My mom found out my dad was cheating on her and broke up with him. First, he stayed at home to don´t disturb my sis, but one day they fought a lot (as much as to make Talthec and I take the kids to McDonald´s to get them away from the fight) and my mom kicked my dad out of the house.
He didn´t communicate with my sis till my mom called him and made him react, then he took her with him two weekends.
He decided to leave to Europe, he went there, didn´t like to work and wanted to get back, but he had to wait one month to come back. He invited my mom to go Europe with him. She accepted and then I was alone with the two kids, thanks god that Talthec came and stayed with me.
They came back, fought a lot, and now they´re friends and sleep togheter. My dad still has his lover.
In the middle of this, I´ve lost almost all my friends in RL, I first got angry at them, then depressed about not beign enough for them, and now I´m resignated. It seems that all the friends I have as soon as they get a boyfriend/girlfriend forget about me or stop seing me because their bf/gf doesn´t like me. And I couldn´t talk about this with my online friends because I´d started to cry in front of the computer screen and make my son worry about me.
Study is a mess, courses I should´ve approved with the maximum grade I´m almost getting the right to take the exam...
I want a kitten badly but I can´t get one because my dog would literally kill it.
And for the good things, I got my faith again, I have Talthec and Agus, I´m drawing better and I made up with someone I fought to almost 2 years ago.
However I´m over all this now, I don´t talk about everything that makes me feel bad until I feel better.

Posted 16 years agoI wanna know if anyone knows these ponys, they were the 4 I had, but I gave them to my cousin and she destroyed them, except for the first that was destroyed by my bro

The first one was white and had rainbow hair, nothing else that I remember, it was a little smaller than the normal ponys and had red hoofs.
The second and third ones were kids, one pink and other sky-blue, both with wings, pegasus like.
The fourth was a normal size pony, purple with blue hair and had an unicorn horn. I´m not sure if she had wings or not.
To anyone who knows them, could you please give me their names or post a pic?

Talthec warned me that giving people I don´t know the opportunity to get free art from me was a bad idea, but I thought I should be doing something to make random people happy. I even let a few persons that watched me after I posted the journal to get in the pic, I gave everyone 2 months to post their refs and I thought that was fair.
I´m starting to think that people doesn´t deserve me treating them well, they just use me all the time. Maybe I should be meaner with people, so from now on, if you want a pic from me you´ll have to pay (however, I´m a person that keeps her words and the big pic will be finished).
I´m thinking about leaving fa...
BTW: I always have a lot of problems, but that´s no reason to me beign an asshole.

Talthec me aviso que si le daba la oportunidad a personas que no conocia de obtener dibujos gratis lo mas probable era que yo terminara mal, y tenia razon, pero yo quise hacer a personas random felices. Incluso deje que algunos que me habian watcheado despues de poner el journal estuvieran en el dibujo, les di a todos 2 meses para postear sus referencias y crei que eso habia sido justo.

"Every day, there are more and more Craigs List posts seeking "artists" for everything from auto graphics to comic books to corporate logo designs. More people are finding themselves in need of some form of illustrative service.
But what they're NOT doing, unfortunately, is realizing how rare someone with these particular talents can be.
To those who are "seeking artists", let me ask you; How many people do you know, personally, with the talent and skill to perform the services you need? A dozen? Five? One? …none?
More than likely, you don't know any. Otherwise, you wouldn't be posting on craigslist to find them.
And this is not really a surprise.
In this country, there are almost twice as many neurosurgeons as there are professional illustrators. There are eleven times as many certified mechanics. There are SEVENTY times as many people in the IT field.
So, given that they are less rare, and therefore less in demand, would it make sense to ask your mechanic to work on your car for free? Would you look him in the eye, with a straight face, and tell him that his compensation would be the ability to have his work shown to others as you drive down the street?
Would you offer a neurosurgeon the "opportunity" to add your name to his resume as payment for removing that pesky tumor? (Maybe you could offer him "a few bucks" for "materials". What a deal!)
Would you be able to seriously even CONSIDER offering your web hosting service the chance to have people see their work, by viewing your website, as their payment for hosting you?
If you answered "yes" to ANY of the above, you're obviously insane. If you answered "no", then kudos to you for living in the real world.
But then tell me… why would you think it is okay to live out the same, delusional, ridiculous fantasy when seeking someone whose abilities are even less in supply than these folks?
Graphic artists, illustrators, painters, etc., are skilled tradesmen. As such, to consider them as, or deal with them as, anything less than professionals fully deserving of your respect is both insulting and a bad reflection on you as a sane, reasonable person. In short, it makes you look like a twit.
A few things you need to know;
1. It is not a "great opportunity" for an artist to have his work seen on your car/'zine/website/bedroom wall, etc. It IS a "great opportunity" for YOU to have their work there.
2. It is not clever to seek a "student" or "beginner" in an attempt to get work for free. It's ignorant and insulting. They may be "students", but that does not mean they don't deserve to be paid for their hard work. You were a "student" once, too. Would you have taken that job at McDonalds with no pay, because you were learning essential job skills for the real world? Yes, your proposition it JUST as stupid.
3. The chance to have their name on something that is going to be seen by other people, whether it's one or one million, is NOT a valid enticement. Neither is the right to add that work to their "portfolio". They get to do those things ANYWAY, after being paid as they should. It's not compensation. It's their right, and it's a given.
4. Stop thinking that you're giving them some great chance to work. Once they skip over your silly ad, as they should, the next ad is usually for someone who lives in the real world, and as such, will pay them. There are far more jobs needing these skills than there are people who possess these skills.
5. Students DO need "experience". But they do NOT need to get it by giving their work away. In fact, this does not even offer them the experience they need. Anyone who will not/can not pay them is obviously the type of person or business they should be ashamed to have on their resume anyway. Do you think professional contractors list the "experience" they got while nailing down a loose step at their grandmother's house when they were seventeen?
If you your company or gig was worth listing as desired experience, it would be able to pay for the services it received. The only experience they will get doing free work for you is a lesson learned in what kinds of scrubs they should not lower themselves to deal with.
6. (This one is FOR the artists out there, please pay attention.) Some will ask you to "submit work for consideration". They may even be posing as some sort of "contest". These are almost always scams. They will take the work submitted by many artists seeking to win the "contest", or be "chosen" for the gig, and find what they like most. They will then usually have someone who works for them, or someone who works incredibly cheap because they have no originality or talent of their own, reproduce that same work, or even just make slight modifications to it, and claim it as their own. You will NOT be paid, you will NOT win the contest. The only people who win, here, are the underhanded folks who run these ads. This is speculative, or "spec", work. It's risky at best, and a complete scam at worst. I urge you to avoid it, completely. For more information on this subject, please visit [link].
So to artists/designers/illustrators looking for work, do everyone a favor, ESPECIALLY yourselves, and avoid people who do not intend to pay you. Whether they are "spec" gigs, or just some guy who wants a free mural on his living room walls. They need you. You do NOT need them.
And for those who are looking for someone to do work for free… please wake up and join the real world. The only thing you're accomplishing is to insult those with the skills you need. Get a clue.
If you do need portfolio padding, use your skills for a good cause - design a poster for a non-profit organization. Make a website for your local community theater. There are so many opportunities for pro bono work that will actually benefit someone.
Pass this on to every artistically-inclined person you know! Copy the text or just send them the link to the original post."

So, given that they are less rare, and therefore less in demand, would it make sense to ask your mechanic to work on your car for free? Would you look him in the eye, with a straight face, and tell him that his compensation would be the ability to have his work shown to others as you drive down the street?
Would you offer a neurosurgeon the "opportunity" to add your name to his resume as payment for removing that pesky tumor? (Maybe you could offer him "a few bucks" for "materials". What a deal!)
Would you be able to seriously even CONSIDER offering your web hosting service the chance to have people see their work, by viewing your website, as their payment for hosting you?
If you answered "yes" to ANY of the above, you're obviously insane. If you answered "no", then kudos to you for living in the real world.
But then tell me… why would you think it is okay to live out the same, delusional, ridiculous fantasy when seeking someone whose abilities are even less in supply than these folks?
Graphic artists, illustrators, painters, etc., are skilled tradesmen. As such, to consider them as, or deal with them as, anything less than professionals fully deserving of your respect is both insulting and a bad reflection on you as a sane, reasonable person. In short, it makes you look like a twit.
A few things you need to know;
1. It is not a "great opportunity" for an artist to have his work seen on your car/'zine/website/bedroom wall, etc. It IS a "great opportunity" for YOU to have their work there.
2. It is not clever to seek a "student" or "beginner" in an attempt to get work for free. It's ignorant and insulting. They may be "students", but that does not mean they don't deserve to be paid for their hard work. You were a "student" once, too. Would you have taken that job at McDonalds with no pay, because you were learning essential job skills for the real world? Yes, your proposition it JUST as stupid.
3. The chance to have their name on something that is going to be seen by other people, whether it's one or one million, is NOT a valid enticement. Neither is the right to add that work to their "portfolio". They get to do those things ANYWAY, after being paid as they should. It's not compensation. It's their right, and it's a given.
4. Stop thinking that you're giving them some great chance to work. Once they skip over your silly ad, as they should, the next ad is usually for someone who lives in the real world, and as such, will pay them. There are far more jobs needing these skills than there are people who possess these skills.
5. Students DO need "experience". But they do NOT need to get it by giving their work away. In fact, this does not even offer them the experience they need. Anyone who will not/can not pay them is obviously the type of person or business they should be ashamed to have on their resume anyway. Do you think professional contractors list the "experience" they got while nailing down a loose step at their grandmother's house when they were seventeen?
If you your company or gig was worth listing as desired experience, it would be able to pay for the services it received. The only experience they will get doing free work for you is a lesson learned in what kinds of scrubs they should not lower themselves to deal with.
6. (This one is FOR the artists out there, please pay attention.) Some will ask you to "submit work for consideration". They may even be posing as some sort of "contest". These are almost always scams. They will take the work submitted by many artists seeking to win the "contest", or be "chosen" for the gig, and find what they like most. They will then usually have someone who works for them, or someone who works incredibly cheap because they have no originality or talent of their own, reproduce that same work, or even just make slight modifications to it, and claim it as their own. You will NOT be paid, you will NOT win the contest. The only people who win, here, are the underhanded folks who run these ads. This is speculative, or "spec", work. It's risky at best, and a complete scam at worst. I urge you to avoid it, completely. For more information on this subject, please visit [link].
So to artists/designers/illustrators looking for work, do everyone a favor, ESPECIALLY yourselves, and avoid people who do not intend to pay you. Whether they are "spec" gigs, or just some guy who wants a free mural on his living room walls. They need you. You do NOT need them.
And for those who are looking for someone to do work for free… please wake up and join the real world. The only thing you're accomplishing is to insult those with the skills you need. Get a clue.
If you do need portfolio padding, use your skills for a good cause - design a poster for a non-profit organization. Make a website for your local community theater. There are so many opportunities for pro bono work that will actually benefit someone.

I decided that in every drawing of mine that isn´t a commision or has another people chars (gifts/art trades) I will send you the high res. image by mail to you so you can print it.
I know not many of you would want to print something by me, but I´ll use this politics. Please, if you want to print a commision/trade/gift ask me and I´ll ask the owner of the char about it.
