Very Sick
Posted 2 years agoHey everyone, just wanted to give you a quick heads up. I've been dealing with a severe sickness since Friday. While I was hoping for a weekend recovery, it seems luck hasn't been on my side. Today, there's a slight improvement, but I'm still absolutely exhausted. Resting and taking it one step at a time.
Due to this situation, my commission work will likely be slow, if any, until I'm back on my feet. I appreciate your understanding and support during this time. What are props?
• Objects, items, small things

To gain a little extra extra income I'm doing some weekend commissions. These will have a quick turnaround and will only be worked on at the weekend to not interfere with other commissions. I will hold them until we gained enough to balance out all the emergency costs we had the past couple of months.

🦋 Updates on my cat and Commissions🦋
Posted 2 years agoAs you might have read from my last journal, my cat got a tumor I'm here to update to what happened and when commission work will continue again.
First and foremost commission work will be continued very soon. My hopes are next week but I might need a couple more days (reasons below), fingers crossed.
I will have more updates for special weekend speedpaint offers in a couple of days with another journal so keep your eyes peeled.
Now to the other stuff, I wanted to open everything up way earlier but a lot of unexpected things happened. The move takes longer than expected, we had internet troubles which still need to be worked out. I currently just have a makeshift setup so I can start to work on commissions again.
As to my cat, she sadly passed away a little over a week ago. I'm very grateful for the extra month I had with her. It was a heartbreaking decision to make but I did everything I could so she can have the best last month in her live. She got to live 10 yeas by my side.
But I also had to say goodbye to another very beloved pet. Our elderly family dog of almost 12 years had shortly after my cats passing a seizure .. some stuff collapsing in his throat making breathing impossible. While he eventually managed to breath again, the vet said if it ever happens again it's better to also put him to his final rest. Two days ago he had the same seizure again, he was barely able to walk and wasn't even mentally present anymore (similar to my cat once the time had come). His companion dog (also roughly 12 years old) is now alone again, the second time he looses a dog friend. He is taking it alright and luckily the weather here in Germany is getting better so we can take him outside for longer times and keep his brain busy.
I am still heartbroken to lose two very beloved animals so shortly after another and combined with the stress of moving it's nothing I would wish anyone.

Posted 2 years agoAs the title states my cat it very sick since the end of Dezember... She got a CT last Tuesday and I just got the results that she very likely got a tumor in her nose... an endoscopy needs to be done do be 100% sure but I might need to say goodbye to my most important friend very soon. It doesn't help that I'm currently sick myself too since 2 weeks now (right after being sick for almost 2 1/2 months yay). I will probably be absent for the rest of march since we are also currently moving.
To all who have an animal, save up at least 2k for emergencies.
The important part out of the way, the rest of the journal will be just me rambling, cuz I honestly don't know how to comprehend everything (also sorry for my spelling).
I don't know what it is but every year seems to be worse than the year bevor, from a break in, to loosing my step-grandpa and almost my father, to fighting to more than 2 month for the live of my cat and more.
I'm not ready for her (my cat) to go yet. I planned so much with her.. she finally got a lot of space to run and play in the new place where we are moving.. big windows to watch outside and we where planning to make our balcony cat save so she can got outside and look around. She supported me through my many depressive phases and I'm sure I'll never ever get a pet like her again. She's scaringly intelligent compared to the other cats I know and very good at problem solving. My other cat for example has yet to understand how to roll a ball filled with treats to get the treats... after almost 10 years of having her.. I love her but she is not the brightest light. Speaking of my other cat, she will also have problems if we need to say goodbye. I got her because she refused to eat and drink with her previous owner and always meowed. We assume that's because she needs a companion cat. We don't know what happened to her before her previous owner got her since we found her on the streets. So this might get complicated...
Update: There is not much we can do, we talked to the vet and the only thing we can do is give her a good last rest of her live. Let it be days or weeks. I will be watching over her while my boyfriend finishes everything for the move. As long as she wants to live she gets to live, she'll get some pain medication until then. Once she stops eating and starts becoming lethargic we will give her her final rest to spare her the pain.
In remembrance of her I will be doing a 3D paw print. And in the future a needle felted small figure (once I've learned everything). I was planning to do it regardless but I thought I have a couple more years to lean the techniques und use my cat as a life model.

after a way too long break I'm finally back with new artworks, new YCHs and some good news.
Commissions Info:
Commissions will open up at the beginning of next Month. Slots will be limited for the time being until early - mid summer.
I will make a separate announcement when its time.
A new commission type will be available once I open up commissions again called "PNG-Tuber Commissions"!
I'm actually really exited for this one. This type of commission can be used as a reactive image in Discord or used in videos and streams with Veadotube.
The character will basically open their mouth when you talk und does some idle stuff depending on what commission type and addons you choose.

From Here on out most commission request will be handled via forms. It makes it a lot easier for me to have commission requests in one place instead of 5.

I have a few YCHs planned: The first 2-3 YCHs will be related to the newest Pokemon game "Pokemon Legends: Arceus". One related to alpha Pokemon, one to shiny Pokemon and maybe one filling out the Pokedex depending on popularity. All of those will have multiple slots and the Pokemon can be changed.
I also have a couple more generic backup YCHs in case they are not that popular.
The important stuff out of the way I will get to more Personal stuff. If you are not interested or not in the mood you can skip this part. (Themes: Death, Accidents, Sickness, Depression)
Let me first talk about why I was absente for so long. Last year was, like for many others, not the best year I've ever had.

After a long fight which started at the beginning of last year and ended at the beginning of this year I sadly lost my step-grandpa. He had multiple strokes over the year and needed intense care for wich he and my grandma needed to move closer to us so we could help more. A couple of months later he passed away due to heart failure. Meanwhile my father had a really bad accident with a forklift which had fallen onto him and shattered half of the bones in his face. After a 8-9 hour long operation my father was out of the worst and recovered relatively quickly and had one last op recently to remove some parts again.
This constant stress lead to me getting sick multiple times for long periods of time, getting strong migraine attacks, sleeping problems to the point I wasn't able to function anymore and the list goes on. Which lead to a major depression... I'm used to have depression from time to time and know what to do to get rid of it again but pared with everything else it was a bit much and overwhelming. But everything is slowly starting to get better again, thankfully. :)

This constant stress lead to me getting sick multiple times for long periods of time, getting strong migraine attacks, sleeping problems to the point I wasn't able to function anymore and the list goes on. Which lead to a major depression... I'm used to have depression from time to time and know what to do to get rid of it again but pared with everything else it was a bit much and overwhelming. But everything is slowly starting to get better again, thankfully. :)

🦋Tablet not working - Commission Delays🦋

today my graphics tablet gave up on me. It doesn't get recognized on any device, different cables didn't work and reinstalling the software didn't work either. Luckily the tablet is still under warranty and I'm able to get my money back. Once I received the money I'm going to buy a new one because I really don't have the fund to buy one immediately.
This whole process will take 1-2 weeks and depends on how fast everything gets delivered.
What am I doing now and what about the commissions you ask?
I'm going to use the graphics tablet of my mate. It's not a screen tablet like the one I had but better than nothing. Work will be considerably slower however and I will not be able to do final touch ups until my new tablet arrives. Detailed Paintings will be more affected than speedpaints.
I hope nothing gets delayed for more than 1 week.
I will contact everyone I have on the list for this week (15.2.21 - 19.2.21) in the next couple of days to discuss everything in detail. My waiting list can be viewed at my trello and I'm also going to update the estimated dates shortly and again once I'm able to purchase the new tablet: https://trello.com/b/9o7B5KGU/black.....gress-overview

Update 1 (16.2.21):
Package is currently at the Post office, now I need to wait for the money to arrive.
My trello page is now fully updated with new estimated dates. I also added a disclaimer for those who don't read my journals and aren't following on my Twitter account. And also on a side note: starting today with some lose sketches for commissions with the unfamiliar tablet. I'm still relearning how to use this thing.
Update 2 (19.2.21):
I was able to order the new tablet early and it just arrived today. :)
I will now setup everything and test it throw-out the weekend. It certainly got a different feeling to it.
No further changes need to be made on the waiting list. ^^

A smaller update for those who asked and some surprising facts about the German law system.
Did you know that in Germany you are very unlikely you get to know what happens to offenders or if they even got captured in the first place? Well we didn't and would have loved to know that the one who broke into our place and that of others got captured around a month ago and is now in jail. We only know it because of some connections.
We got some of our things back they stole, other things were probably sold.
However there is nothing new about our insurance company. They still don't want to pay and we still don't have "the go" for an emergency glazing.

Our insurance also didn't allow us to do an emergency glazing to protect the building at least from wind and weather. We now have to go to curt to hopefully get our money.
Meanwhile the offenders are still free and recently tried to break into 3-4 buildings just a few streets away from us.
I don't feel save, not in the slightest. And I don't know for what an insurance is if they pull out this kind of crap. =/
