So. I have some good news.

I have a job now! I work at Family Dollar. Entry level, so I'll be working with stock for now.

Why is this such a good thing? This means that from now on, as long as my job stays intact, I can focus on commissions a lot easier now! I know there have been a lot of people noting me about updates and whatnot, and I figured this journal would explain my absence of the art stuff.

Well, stuff that I owe anyways.

But yeah! That happened. I'll be getting paid weekly, and the minimum wage is actually pretty solid. So I should be straight for now until I find something better.

Truck days are rough though, only because it's the Winter and it gets pretty cold at 3am, having to stock shelves and whatnot. But other than that, I'm set!

I'll be replying to all commissioners, keeping you all updated on picture statuses and whatnot. So stay tuned for that.

I'm having a really bad living issue with my mom and her guy friend, and I need someplace to stay for a while until I can buy certain documents to get my ID, and find a job.

If there is a portion of rent that has to be paid, I can do my best through commissions. In terms of eating, don't worry about that. I will starve if it means I can get away from this hell.

I need to study anatomy. And lines.

I don't feel like my artwork pops out the way I want it. But in terms of experimenting with commissions, I'm not really sure people would be okay with that..

I was thinking about observing different styles like  showkaizer's or  cougr's for anatomy. It just feels...awkward the way I draw everything. All my sketches take hours and I can barely regain the drive to draw anything once I realize I've been stuck on one pose for almost a day.

Having multiple styles would be nice to flop back and forth between cartoony and realistic. But if I'm having trouble with just the barefundamentals...then there's a problem.

I'm having trouble with details and definition in muscle. And I don't even wanna mention how bad I am at muzzles. =x=

Ugh. Drawing is hard.

I have only been involved within the art community for a good 6 years now, with the production of digital art starting around 2011. I started accepting commissions around 2012 and, as much as it pains to admit it; I am not the best at handling professional work. I choke under pressure. And as a result, I procrastinate.

A lot.

I've been procrastinating on my work for the last few months, and it's been painfully showing with how my queue has been rapidly growing over time.


However, I'd just like to take the time to point out one simple fact that a lot of people like to overlook:

I am only human. I am only one person.

I cannot, will not, and never do I plan on wishing to have the power to please everyone at once. It would be easier in life if this was at all humanly possible. But I'd prefer handling things the way I do now, as it will keep me a sane individual in the near future.

I am not a popular artist for you all to worship. I don't have the best skills, and I DEFINITELY don't have what it takes to be on a professional business level for selling art.

But I'd be damned if I was just to quit now while I'm ahead. People may give up on me, but I refuse to give up on myself.

I am still doing my best to break this spirit called procrastination, and do what I can to keep those who still give a crap about my well-being by my side. Life isn't easy, which is why I am embracing that fact.

So. At this point, if you still want to spread rumors and false information about me, or throw me up on Encyclopedia Dramatica or Artist Beware, all I have to say to that is...

Do it.

I won't stop you. And I have no intent on getting anyone else to "do my dirty work" for me.

I have way too many things going on in my personal life to worry about how people will think of me on the internet. I'm going to stay focused on what is most important to me; which, in this case, is getting everything that is owed to everyone complete in a decent, timely manner. Without burning myself out.

Hopefully you all respect this. And if not, then so be it.
