Nox back
Posted 3 months agoDormaus Valley Situation
Posted 5 months agoHi all,
Some of you may have noticed that all my games are gone. It's a sad situation but basically an org in America put in complaints about me hosting adult content, and got my website taken down.
I will be gradually moving the games to itch, where possible. Please feel free to follow me there:

An apology and explanation about Nox and Dormaus Valley
Posted 11 months agoHey everyone, I wanted to talk about something that's been on my mind about making Twine games/CYOA
I know a lot of people want me to write more Dormaus Valley, or finish Castle Nox, and I really do too. I've been forcing myself to try and write more Nox, and the only time I've opened Twine in the last year has been to squeak out a few more passages, and Sten's area is maybe 60 or 70% complete. I've written like...two or three bits of unfinished DV content too.
I really love writing CYOAs and silly TF stuff, but every time I've wanted to make something, I've forced myself not to because I "should" be finishing Nox, should be working on DV, should be finishing my old projects, but that's left me basically...not making anything.
Two weeks ago I told myself just to forget Nox for a little while and write whenever I felt like it, about anything I wanted to. In that time I've completed or nearly completed THREE new CYOA games of varying complexity, all of which should be getting released quite soon. I had forgotten how much fun it could be when it doesn't feel like a chore.
I'll be releasing them soon and I want to apologise in advance that they're not Dormaus Valley and they're not Nox, but I hope you enjoy them for what they are. I'm not giving up on Nox, but I'm hoping doing other things and letting myself have fun with writing again will maybe refresh me and I can come back to it in the future, rather than just be stuck being the G R R Martin of TF CYOA games.
Anyway, back to posting soon! The three CYOA games are
1. A completely barebones TF roulette that just throws bad ends at you with zero plot
2. A CYOA about toy and plush TF
3. A CYOA about The Bachelor but for turning into a guy's socks

May be leaving FA: where to find my art
Posted 2 years agoI am very unhappy with how the mods and owners have been dealing with 2.7 and how dismissive and insulting they've been to artists. In July basically all toon and short characters will be banned on FA - they claim this is not the case, but consistent checking with trouble tickets by multiple artists has shown that all art is on the chopping block at the whim of the moderators.

Fuck the mods
Posted 2 years agoSo we're banning digimon, pokemon, koopas and yoshis now. Fuck this shit, fuck the hypocrite Dragoneer, and fuck the power-tripping mods who are just looking for a new way to throw their weight around.
Rating the Nox timeskip weapons
Posted 2 years agoJust for fun I'm going to rate the weapons you can get in the timeskip in Castle Nox based on my thoughts now that they're all finalised. If you disagree feel free to comment!
6. The Golden Mace
Originally it was going to be a "healing mace" that enhanced the healing skill, but that skill is already too busted and I ended up just making it a big chunk of cash. The problem being there's barely anything left to buy at this stage of the game. I guess you could use it to skip doing a bunch of the stuff at Zelig's place but as a weapon it's lame and kind of makes mace the worst weaponmastery to end up rolling. I guess if you don't want anything else in the list just take it and sell it for a bunch of alether at the next shop
5. The Shadow Dagger
It should have been cool, but the bonus I gave it was too weak to justify how awkward it is to use. You need to backstab in every round of combat, which is just tedious, and even if you do it's only a little bit better than just using the base axe. Only worth taking if you're starting a new game as an assassin and getting it for free.
4. The Gimble Gyre
Niche, but if you're a high-magic build then the gimble gyre is the obvious choice. It lets you use your magic instead of your might for might rolls in combat, which means that so long as you can get to the timeskip with crappy Might then you now only need to worry about three stats. Score! Sadly it does mean you have to go all-in on cantrips which locks you out of some cooler skills, and you don't get weaponmastery bonus for it because it's technically a spell. Will be even better once Eskander's tower is finished, because he has a respect altar in the basement and you can just use Might as a dump stat.
3. The Runed Axe
A solid choice, and higher on the list because you don't need any prerequisites to take it. It's just a big chunk of damage. If you've got axe weaponmastery then you might as well, and if you've got advanced weaponmastery and the other axe you can make it into the best weapon in the game from a pure damage standpoint. The only problem is, if you're going for this kind of build you might as well just be an orc and get the Manslayer for free, which is nearly as good and lets you take something else in the timeskip scene.
2. The Singing Sword
Don't sleep on the singing sword, it single-handedly justifies taking Heightened Senses as a skill. 1/3 of the time it completely negates any battle damage you would have taken, and it has the stats of Rayleigh's Rapier on top of it! If you add that to the dodge chance from sense mastery you'll be a crazy dodge tank. Take some alether for handling the Beast and you can probably plink him to death, especially if you have evolved Derevan, the wolf and Connery who add up to another 1/3 dodge between them.
1. Erana's Rose
Criminally underrated, I think because people usually have a specific weapon in mind by this point and the rose isn't immediately useful. It's worthless for fighting so you need an alternate weapon (probably Rayleigh's Rapier, or the Manslayer) but if you are happy with your gear by the time the timeskip comes, the rose is useful for EVERY class. Even without it equipped it adds +1 to your combat rolls, and you can equip it prior to rolling stats then just unequip it afterwards!
Honorable mention: The Manslayer
Not technically the same because you can get it for free if you take the orc route. Of course if you are doing that you don't NEED a good weapon because you've beaten the hardest fight in the game already, and you are missing out on the sexier wolf route. It's thematically appropriate though if you get the anime reference! It'll have special stuff in Sten's route eventually, doubly so if you have this and Sten's magic axes.

Should I post sketches?
Posted 3 years agoThat recent vore pic I posted wasn't really "polished" to the extent I usually go for with posts here. Did people still like it? I have sketches that are just black and white too but I feel a bit awkward about putting them here

Soliciting Dormaus Valley Events! Theme: Desert/Savannah
Posted 3 years agoHi, are you a fan of the game Dormaus Valley?
Would you like to create an event and have it be put in the game?
I am currently working on creating a new area. The city of Makarna in the game is an egypt-themed location run by lions. I want to allow the player the leave the city and explore the Makarnan savannah.
The continent of Makarna is large and diverse, but difficult to traverse. The player will need to navigate through a hot and arid land to find treasure and events. Your event could be one of them! If I can get contributions, I can work on making this new area the biggest one we've ever had!
Themes that would be appropriate:
Egyptian characters and themes. Mummies, tombs, jackals and gators and cobras
Desert themes. Camels, a beautiful oasis, sinister scorpions or hidden treasure troves and sandy dunes
Savannah themes. Lions, antelopes, elephants. Jungles and hypnotic snakes and the like
Australian outback themes. Kangaroos and dropbears! Makarna is a BIG continent after all
Got an OC you think would fit? Stick them in! Got a kink you'd like to write about? Do it!
I can integrate scenes of any of the following sizes:
- Very short (just a few sentences). These could be used as descriptive text or fluff you see as you explore!
- Short stories/transformation scenes/sex scenes. These can be full events you encounter while exploring, like the ones currently in the game
- Scenes with multiple outcomes (success and failure). These can test the players stats
- Twine games (if you send me the Twine file). I can integrate Twine into the game if you want to really make your story complex!
Your name will be included in the scene, and I will add a scene in Makarna where there is a "Stone of Descendants" that lists all the names of people who contributed to the wilderness.
If you are interested, just send me a direct message! Or talk about it on the official Discord https://discord.gg/xNs3Q94

Dormaus Valley: Memory Maze
Posted 6 years agoUpdate: The Memory Maze
The new update is now available at the unstable branch in the following location:
http://dormaus-valley.s3-website-us......com/main.html
This update mostly includes the new punishment area, the Memory Maze. You will be forced to enter the maze if you ever have a Curse value of 5 or greater.
Some of the content in the memory maze is a little darker than the usual Dormaus Valley content, so be warned.
If you wish to enter the maze immediately and see the new content, go to the churchyard in Dormaus and use the option to enter the catacombs. You can activate an event there which will give you a lot of Curse points.
New Events:
Makarna:
An event in the Training Grounds of Makarna, where you can help give booze to the tired guards. Inanimate transformation.
An event in the market square, where you can encounter GROK, a very straightforward rhinorc who is getting frustrated at big city ways. Contains large amounts of sex.
Dormaus Valley:
An event in the down-valley region, just south of Turner's Farm, where you can be ambushed by a sneaky enemy. Contains multiple possible outcomes, and a special event-skip for orcs.
An event in the entrance where Lin will help cure you of nicotine addiction, if you are having trouble with that. (Contributed by Shaddurafrom the Discord)
Memory Maze:
Multiple events. First area contains three “memory” events, with different options and sometimes altered outcomes.
One: Gargoyle/demon corruption TF
Two: Play as a pred dragon, various tfs and vore of your victims
Three: Various tf with magic accidents and corruption
There are also five lore events in this location, non-sexual.

New Festival Events
You can now spend the festival with the following people:
Ritter (Costume Store in Dormaus)

Jack Events
Jack is easier to meet now. If you haven't met him yet, you can start your friendship at the prison
Jack will give you a quest now once you complete his raccoon training. For his quest he wants you to get him socks from a Horn law enforcement official. He will react differently if you give him Vicious's socks or someone else's
Vicious has a new sex scene where you ask him for his socks
Once you have given Jack the socks, he will underwear-tf you at the prisonyard. This is an inanimate tf with two living-as-underwear events and a special Mr Bat reversion
Kristoph Events
There is a new NPC, Kristoph the human healer. To meet him, try to learn teleportation with Saberhagen and fail.
Kristoph has two sex scenes and a reindeer transformation
Alder
Shaddura, the newest contributor, has added a new NPC at the Grease Pit. Alder the smoking panther will make you love the taste of nicotine. Meet him at the grease pit and continue your romance at Dormaus's fountain and inn.

There is an event giving some information on Grizz's backstory at his bar, requires Grizz friendship
An event about Mikhail has been added to his shop
There is a plushie vore digestion event at the Otterton docks with a huge hungry teddy bear

Escape the Con v0.8
Posted 7 years agoI’ve updated Escape the Con to have new features and be more stable (I make no promises about mobile support, but it works on my android phone if I use Chrome)
http://bluesquirrel.org/game/escape/index.html
Your objective is to reach the bottom floor and leave the hotel. Find and wear clothing and wield hotel items to beat the furries in your way.
Changes in this version
Three new enemy types, with their own tfs and good/bad endings. Bears, boars, and the terrifying dragons
The game is now a little fairer. Strong enemies will spawn less often in the early floors.
Item drops are better in higher number floors, to give you an incentive to explore dangerous regions
Medicine can now spawn if you search sinks (because medicine cabinets over the sinks). Medicine can heal HP, reduce corruption, or increase stats…at a terrible price!
Some items are now useable if you have them in your inventory, with the use button or “a” on the keyboard. Kettles can be filled at sinks, boiled at cabinets, and then thrown at enemies. Spray bottles can be used to spook off enemies.
If you can, please try it out and let me know if you experience any bugs or difficulties

Posted 7 years agoThe beta version of Escape the Con is now available, and I would appreciate anyone who wants to test it for bugs
http://bluesquirrel.org/game/escape/index.html
Your objective is to reach the bottom floor and leave the hotel. Find and wear clothing and wield hotel items to beat the furries in your way.
Changes in beta:
There are now button controls which should work on touchscreens
Walking into containers automatically opens them
You will be alerted to the presence of friendly NPCs every few turns
It should work on mobiles, probably
You will automatically equip items if you have an empty slot
There is a non-monospaced log now
If you can, please try it out and let me know if you experience any bugs or difficulties
